00:00hey guys welcome back to in the purses once again this is your host the end gamer today

00:07we are going to be doing a game review so today we talk about final fantasy 6 15 i almost said

00:1716 16 is the one that's coming out soon 15 is the one i'm reviewing right yeah um it's pretty

00:26crazy because final fantasy is a pretty big franchise and the one thing i like about is that

00:33all the entries well most of the entries are separate i think like 12 and 13 or one of those

00:41are connected but the majority of them are pretty much their own stories so like i play this i don't

00:48even have to play 16 to catch the story because 16 tells a different story the different set of

00:53characters so there um anyways fantasy 15 right now this is one of those type of adventure

01:03type games it's an rpg with all those elements that you come to expect in your typical rpg games

01:12now here's what the game is about to be honest if i try to go through like

01:17the whole plot for this it'll probably take me at least an hour to actually make sense of it

01:26so i'm gonna gloss over it real quick and for centuries you have losers they have been at war with

01:32the militaristic nephilim who seek to emulate solemn glory and see what happens here is that

01:42the two nations right you have um amish being declared because the kings failed and held and

01:48a part of the peace agreement nephilim will gain control of all loosened territories outside

01:54insomnia and imagine a race between their hills apparent of the world farms of lucis and tenebra

02:01and to be honest that's the most i can make all of this because this story is like pretty much

02:08you know what i mean like you can understand the storyline but to explain it is like what the

02:15shit okay but let's get on to the characters that this will make more sense now the main characters um

02:21noctus lucis kill him right that's the main guy you play as you know where stories centered on him

02:28you know this sasuke looking guy um he's accompanied through this for journey where you have his other

02:36friends um three other guys here you have gladius and mister uh a psychonomic family sworn to protect

02:44the notus family so he's like his bodyguard you know destined to be bodyguard then you have ignis

02:52who is a military tactician and an advisor he's like the brains of the group and then you have

03:00um a personal favorite of mine called prompto he's um a long time friend of notus from a lower class

03:11you know um you also have guest characters like call the illness iris emerson so on so forth um to tell

03:19you the truth the game is actually pretty pretty damn good you know um like moving aside from the story i would

03:30just kind of like all over the place you know um i thought this actually summarize what the game is

03:38about you know uh without trying to break down all these different um story beats the simplest way to

03:47say it is that you notice on your friends they have a journey to the capital where his supposed wedding

03:56with leuphrania supposed to happen and then they end up finding news about the nephilim attack on the

04:02sea of insomnia the depth of the crystal king regis has been assassinated you know and in an apparent

04:11situation not the sun was declared dead you know and from there you have to like you know you can pretty

04:22much tell where it goes after that right by watching the story beats on as you play the game um like i

04:30said this story is all over the damn place and i'm still trying to make sense of it years after i've

04:38played it so then again i haven't really like it didn't really stick to this game because of the story

04:45i mean i was interested in the story but i was more drawn up by the gameplay which is top 10 in this game

04:52the amount of stuff that you could do is pretty impressive you know even by um today's standards

04:58because this game came out back in 2016 you know so it's kind of dated but it still looks good um it's

05:07it's massive open world you can be able to do pretty much all the rpg stuff that you can do where you can

05:14run across whole plains travel to areas fight all kinds of creatures

05:21got all kind of items and level up and trade and quest and all this stuff all the typical rpg stuff is

05:28in here and then there's extra stuff like side quests and even like mini games which is actually pretty

05:35fun like there's a lot to do in this game to tell the truth the developers they really weren't all out in

05:43this and as they should have because if you've actually been paying attention to the development

05:48of this game this game was actually been in development since 2006 so that means by the

05:58time this game has came out it was in the works for 10 years and you can see it in the final product

06:06the game looks good and it plays good um well it plays it'll actually play good if you have the ps4 pro

06:16or ps5 because um the majority of the time i was playing it on the ps4

06:21it was lagging the performance was um good i would say it was painfully average with some hiccups here

06:32and there um you know it usually tends to look at 30 31 fps when it comes to playstation i don't know why

06:41but that's what it tend to do with these games uh when you reach in certain areas or certain things

06:48happen on the screen the firmware dips it dips to like the low tens and even five and it goes back

06:55up and then there's a fact that the loading times this game is pretty ass this game takes a long time

07:01to load you know even when you're trying to like pause and all i want to stop it takes a while because

07:08it's a big game although it probably loads faster on the ps5 whatever i just played on the ps4 so my view is

07:17based off the ps4 well no i said that you have the the soundtrack first game this game has a pretty banger

07:29soundtrack you know with a huge selection of music that you can listen to even getting um some famous

07:39artists in the soundtrack mix so i was really impressed by the the music i think that's what

07:47the second strongest suit this game outside of the the vast open world gameplay features that you have

07:55those are the two biggest net positive source game um also the the length of this game

08:05this for me when i was playing the game it took me about 200 or so ish hours to complete if i can't

08:16remember it correctly according to the safe files and that's a long time and i had to play the game

08:24throughout like several months because i couldn't like sit down and play it like every single day

08:31you know because i have stuff to do in the real world but every time i get a chance to plug in the

08:38ps4 i pull up the game and play it and i managed to get 200 or so hours out of the game and i have to

08:45say this even though that is a lot of hours that should have meant i should have completed a game i still

08:52didn't complete the game even though i had 200 hours in and there was stuff that i was planning to do and

08:58other stuff that i want to finish but i couldn't get to because of the you know the level barrier

09:06because um i tell this like certain ears that have certain creatures with a high level and high

09:12amount of strength and it'd be like forever to get to them and to fight them you know um the

09:20the amount you can do in the game is is a lot and i would say in terms of the value you're getting quite a

09:27lot out of this game well so there i will say that it has a lot of value for it probably the it's

09:38probably one of the most uh gameplay for value game that you can get from the um pso generation

09:48i said from maybe grand theft auto 5 and such um also i would have to say the graphics of the game

10:00it looks good actually it's um it there's a quite a bit of um i'd say softening and some

10:09meh parts to the game where the graphics doesn't look polished or detailed as it should have been but

10:16at the same time they given the massive open world that it's in and how much stuff that's going on

10:24and all you can do and now we're going to compare i think it looked good enough for what it had um

10:30you know i'm pretty sure if you played on pc the graphics look much more detailed and sharpened

10:37but at the same time i'd say i play on the pso that's what i mean for it so there um also i have to

10:48point out that in terms of the story right even though i can't really like go much into because i

10:54don't really want to like uh get anything wrong in the story but this game actually has um a animated

11:04movie as well as an anime and some books to expand on the story so it's a much bigger story than your

11:13typical final fantasy game um i haven't seen a movie that um it's called clingsclave but i'm going to

11:21get to it because i want to like need to understand the story better and then there's the anime which

11:27i've seen some of it um and then there's the books right so that's that's if you guys want to

11:36want to go through the whole storyline because you know um the story in the games matters in terms

11:42to review um that's if you want to get the whole context of the story which in my case i wanted to

11:52so yeah but in the game overall like that's gonna sum it up final fantasy 15 well given the whole story

12:08not that i'm saying that it's bad i'm just saying that it's a bit all over the place to tell it

12:15true time then they could trim down some stuff i think there's a bit of unnecessary stuff in the story

12:25in my opinion um they could have mitigated some elements in the story so yeah that's pretty much

12:34my major gripe with the game other than the performance on the ps4 um if i were to rate this

12:44overall i would say it's a 4 and a 4.25 out of 5 right um as an rpg just game hits all of the elements

12:58that you'd expect in a rpg open adventure game like this um but the main thing that it does stumble in

13:11is this vast storyline which again i would say it's not bad it's just a bit all over the place and

13:20just could use some trimming down a bit you know um that's pretty much how i'd say in terms of the

13:28negative because everything else about the game is pretty much positive from the gameplay the visual

13:34design the um the soundtrack and all that stuff and the characters i mean like even though the story is

13:43like kind of in a way the characters actually were written pretty good you know they really carry the

13:50game for you you know um i really found myself enjoying all the characters actually not just the

13:57the main four you know so dear guys um that period sums up my review here for final fantasy 15 a great

14:08game now unfortunately it's not perfect um as an rpg it's you know it stumbles but an overall great game

14:18great value a lot you can get for in this game you know and um if you're an rpg fan you'll probably find

14:26yourself really pleasantly uh entertained with this one guys um i'd say it's one of the highlights of

14:32the ps4 era in my opinion but that's just my take on it guys let me know what you think in the comment
