00:00After creator Lauren Michaels hinted at a shake-up ahead of season 51 of Saturday Night Live, the show announced on social media they're adding five new cast members.
00:13These new faces come after several cast members and even writers departed last week.
00:19Heidi Gardner, Devin Walker, Michael Longfellow, and Emile Joachim all exited the show.
00:25So, who is joining the cast? Up first is Tommy Brennan, who just stopped by 30 Rock on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in June, promoting an upcoming comedy club appearance.
00:37Me and my dad are in a fun spot, because my dad's a doctor, and I don't have health insurance.
00:44The comedian wrote on Instagram,
00:46This doesn't feel real, but we'll see you guys on Saturdays.
00:50Jeremy Colhane is a comedian from California, who you may know from appearances on The Sex Lives of College Girls or Dropout TV.
00:59But either way, I don't think that qualifies as a question.
01:02Who the f*** is this guy? Who is he?
01:05Ben Marshall is no stranger to SNL.
01:09He's part of the comedy trio Please Don't Destroy, who joined the show as writers back in 2021.
01:14This is work. I ordered pizzas to be nice. Three cheese, three Hawaiian.
01:20While it's unclear if the trio's co-founders John Higgins and Martin Herlihy are still writers on the show,
01:27Marshall has been promoted to cast member.
01:30Orlando native Cam Patterson is also joining the cast.
01:34He appears in Kevin Hart's upcoming movie, 72 Hours, a film that also features Ben Marshall.
01:39And finally, Veronica Slowakoska from Canada, who recently appeared in the Shane Gillis Netflix series, Tires.
01:48For viewers, it means a fresh lineup of voices joining the longest-running sketch show in TV history.
01:55It also comes as networks and other late-night shows face shake-ups across the industry.
