പള്ളുരുത്തി സെയ്ന്റ് റീത്താസ് പബ്ലിക് സ്‌കൂളില്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥിനി ശിരോവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചെത്തിയതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്നുണ്ടായ തര്‍ക്കം വഷളാക്കാനില്ലെന്ന് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രി വി.ശിവന്‍കുട്ടി. സ്‌കൂള്‍ തലത്തില്‍ സമവായം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെയാണെങ്കില്‍ അത് നല്ലതാണ്. അതോടെ വിവാദം അവസാനിക്കട്ടെ എന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. കുട്ടിയുടെ രക്ഷിതാവ് നിലപാട് മാറ്റിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ശിരോവസ്ത്രം ഇല്ലാതെ തന്നെ കുട്ടിയെ സ്‌കൂളില്‍ അയക്കാമെന്ന് രക്ഷിതാവ് അറിയിച്ചതായി അറിഞ്ഞു. അതോടെ ആ പ്രശ്‌നം തീര്‍ന്നു. ഒരു കുട്ടിയുടെ അവകാശം നിഷേധിക്കാന്‍ എന്തിന്റെ പേരിലായാലും ആര്‍ക്കും അവകാശമില്ല. കിട്ടിയ പരാതിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഇടപെട്ടത്. അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് അവരോട് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടത്. അതിന് അവര്‍ മറുപടി നല്‍കണം. പ്രശ്‌നം വഷളാക്കാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഭരണഘടന പറയുന്നതനുസരിച്ചും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ചട്ടങ്ങള്‍ക്കനുസരിച്ചും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കാന്‍ സ്‌കൂള്‍ തയ്യാറാകണമെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. Education Minister V. Sivankutty stated that the controversy at Palluruthy St. Rita’s Public School over a student wearing a headscarf cannot be ignored. He noted that a consensus has been reached at the school level, which is a positive development, and hoped that the issue would now end. The student’s parent has reportedly changed their stance, indicating that the child can attend school without wearing a headscarf, thereby resolving the matter. The minister emphasized that no one has the right to deny a child’s rights under any pretext. The government intervened based on the complaint received and requested a report from the school, which must respond. He stressed that there is no intention to exacerbate the issue and that the school should act according to the Constitution and educational regulations.
