00:00It seems like the heavyweights, the Seattle Mariners and the ALCS,
00:03they crushed the Toronto Blue Jays before they head back over to Seattle
00:07and take care of their home field advantage.
00:09But also, Adam, I want to talk about that Dodgers-Brewers game last night.
00:12Two to one final, one of the craziest plays you are ever going to see,
00:15which the Dodgers just got caught up in the excitement
00:18and caused a double play.
00:19What did you see last night from the two Major League Baseball games?
00:21You mean you've never seen an 8-6-2 double play before?
00:25That thing was outrageous, obviously.
00:27And I know there were a lot of people that were thinking about the over in that game
00:33that probably point to that play, right?
00:35I mean, you've got a ball that looks like it might go over the wall.
00:38You've got the bases loaded for the Dodgers.
00:39I mean, you could make the case that L.A. should have scored three, four, five runs
00:43at least in that game, and they wind up with two barely,
00:47thanks to getting walked in for what was eventually the winning run in the ninth inning.
00:52So the offenses just weren't there in that first game last night.
00:56I think that's going to be different, despite the pitching matchup in this next game tonight.
01:00Yamamoto against Peralta, two guys that obviously both had excellent regular seasons.
01:05I do think we're going to get runs in this one.
01:07I'd play the over 7.5.
01:09I mean, I don't love it.
01:10It's not a best bet or what have you,
01:14but I think that ultimately the offenses are going to wake up for both of these teams,
01:18and it'll do enough, you know, to get us to, I would have felt better with the seven
01:23before it moved to seven and a half, but, you know, over seven and a half at even money,
01:27I think is appealing.
01:29You know, if we wind up at, let's say, a 5-3 Dodgers final, you know,
01:33you get a little offensive run support out of both teams.
01:36I think that the hook is going to be pretty quick on Yamamoto.
01:40Now, obviously, if he is absolutely dealing, there's no reason to take him out.
01:46He could go six innings, but when Blake Snell goes eight shutout, allows one hit,
01:52you know, the overarching sentiment there is you're in Milwaukee, you're up 1-0.
01:57Yeah, you'd be content with a split going back home, but you're 3-0 on the road.
02:01You want to win both, take that stranglehold of the series going back to L.A.
02:06The second, if he does, Yamamoto gets into any trouble, you have an incredibly rested bullpen.
02:11So I'd look toward the under on his outs.
02:14It was 17 and a half. I've seen it move to 16 and a half.
02:17I'd still go under on that.
02:18You know, I'd stay away from the K prop, obviously, with that in mind.
02:21But I think that both these teams, they're just, they're going to be a little bit,
02:26it's not the right word, but a little hungrier, if you know what I mean.
02:29And I think the offense is going to be just a little more palatable
02:32than what we saw in that 2-1 game last night.
02:36Well, we already got one series 2-0.
02:39Dodgers win tonight, it's 2-0.
02:41How long do you think these series go here?
02:44Is this a 5-6 game series for the Dodgers?
02:48And can Toronto get it back?
02:51I think it's 6 at best for both.
02:53I don't think either series is going 7.
02:55I mean, I liked Seattle going into the series.
02:59I think most people probably did.
03:01But, you know, where I was wrong about this one is,
03:04and I know, I feel like we were all wrong.
03:06Like, we were all on the wrong side of this thing.
03:08Everyone expected Toronto, just off of that extra inning game,
03:12the 15-inning game that Seattle had to play to even get into this round,
03:17that Toronto was going to steamroll in game one.
03:20Instead, lifeless offense, two hits after the leadoff home run,
03:23the one hit and fell short in a low-scoring game,
03:26and then Seattle emphatically obviously wins game two.
03:30I think once you take two in Toronto, and now you're going back home,
03:33you're already the better team.
03:34No, I think five, maybe six games, but Toronto is done already.
03:40Toronto out the door, and I'll tell you this here,
03:42we got Adam Kaufman's picks here.
03:44Over 7.5 runs tonight.
03:45The Dodgers' money line, Peralta over 5.5 games.
03:48And Yamamoto under 16.5 out.
03:51Let's get him that early line excitement and win all of those games.
03:54Adam, thanks for rising and grinding with us.
03:57You are a few moments away from getting our bye-bye-bye picks.
04:00The best of the day guaranteed to cash in, right?
04:02Well, Friday night doubleheader sweep, Monday night doubleheader sweep.
04:05Could it be a Tuesday doubleheader sweep heading into hump day Wednesday?
04:08We'll find out in just a little bit.
04:10But this is always the time of the show that we like to reach out to the public
04:12and ask them what their opinion is on a certain question.
04:16Here's our fave, the public poll.
04:17Come on now.
04:26Get over to X.
04:27Follow at SportsGrid here so you can get these questions delivered to you each and every morning.
04:32The question today was simple, like we like to ask in the morning.
04:35Who is your favorite to win the World Series this year?
04:38There's four teams that we picked.
04:39Why?
04:40There's only four teams left.
04:41It's the Dodgers at a minus 135 price point.
04:44The Mariners at a plus 175 price point.
04:46The Brewers plus 850 and the Blue Jays down 0-2 at a 13-1 price.
04:52For me, I did take the Dodgers.
04:54I thought they would win their game yesterday, and they did.
04:56They have a 1-0 series lead.
04:57Yamamoto's on the mound today.
04:58But if we look at these two, the poll, Joe, updated numbers.
05:02The Dodgers, 40%.
05:04The Mariners, 41%.
05:07The Mariners at the plus 175 coming in for the public.
05:11Are you fading the public or backing the public today, Joe?
05:13Well, I mean, the Mariners are going to be that trendy dog, Donnie.
05:19We know nobody likes the big bad wolf to win it every year, but the Dodgers are the champions
05:25until somebody beats them.
05:28And right now, I will say with that starting pitching staff, the biggest issue for me with
05:34them is going to be that bullpen.
05:36But I got to worry that Seattle, maybe that bullpen is pitching its best, and will that
05:43be it, enough to get past Toronto, but will it be enough to beat the Dodgers?
05:49I don't think so.
05:50I still think it's the Dodgers.
05:52It's the Dodgers to defend and go back-to-back and surprise me.
05:58I'd be more than happy to say, congratulations, Seattle in public, but I just don't see that
06:03happening.
06:04Now, I wonder if Gabe, we know, is a big Los Angeles Dodgers fan, but also loves his Blue
06:09Jays.
06:10Who did he vote for?
06:10Dodgers minus 135, and he'd go to 13 to 1 price on the Blue Jays.
06:14What do you think in there?
06:15Sure.
06:15Which one?
06:15He went Dodgers?
06:16He's firing Dodgers.
06:17And also, over-under, will Gabe attend a World Series game if the Dodgers make it in?
06:22By the way, if the Dodgers make it in, is he just going to go to Seattle?
06:25That could be interesting for Gabe, huh?
06:27Oh, that's a good point, too, as well.
06:29Yes, that's a good poll question.
06:31We should throw that up there tomorrow, by the way.
06:34Seattle in the Dodgers is a game.
06:35I like it.
06:36Yep.
06:36He's going, for me, I'm just going to keep it simple in Major League Baseball.
06:40What I've watched from the Dodgers starting pitching staff throughout these first two series
06:43and now into the NLCS has been incredible.
06:46And I think Yamamoto is going to continue that trend tonight and have a dominant performance.
06:49You are talking like a lot of ticket counts coming in on the Dodgers.
06:53I understand that.
06:54The Dodgers lineup 1-9 is better.
06:55The Dodgers starting pitching tonight is better.
06:58The only question that Joe always brings up, as well as I do, is if that bullpen can hang
07:01on.
07:01They almost blew the game last night, but they didn't.
07:04I'm going to take the Dodgers tonight.
07:05You give me a cheap price at minus 125, I'm taking them again to take a 2-0 series lead.
07:10So two games tonight, one baseball, one college football.
07:13The angle is to go 2-0.
07:15Let's see if we can make it three straight days of 2-0 for our best bets, Joe.
07:19What do you think about that?
07:20I'm feeling it, Donnie.
07:22If it ain't broke, we ain't fixing it here on the early line.
07:27And it ain't broke, and we'll fix it once again if it is broke tomorrow morning.
07:31For Donnie Wright, Joe and Erie, thanks for tuning in to the SportsCred Network.
07:34See you tomorrow for the early line.
