In Namibia (Season 2, Episode 3), Ed Stafford is dropped into the harsh bushveld of northern Namibia right at the tail end of an extended dry season. With virtually no edible plant life available, blistering sun overhead, and scarce water, every moment becomes a fight for survival. Ed builds a camp in trees overlooking a large lake, constructs a fish-corral to trap small fish, sets traditional bird traps, and even attempts to hunt a warthog. Expect scorching heat, dehydration, mental strain, resourcefulness, and raw bush survival.

00:00This time, I tackle Namibia, one of the driest countries on earth.
00:07This place looks horrible.
00:09Home to some seriously dangerous animals.
00:12There's definitely a big cat around here.
00:14I get off to a great start.
00:17Food.
00:18Glorious food.
00:20But my obsession with one potential food source ends badly.
00:24This game over for me.
00:25And leaves me facing starvation.
00:27I just have to catch something.
00:31I'm Ed Stafford.
00:32I've walked the length of the Amazon and survived on a desert island with only a camera to film my adventure.
00:40Now, I've set myself a new challenge to prove I can make it in some of the world's toughest environments.
00:47Oh my God.
00:49Using only what I find around me.
00:51I already had a kidney and a bit of a headache.
00:53I'll be left completely alone for ten days with nothing.
00:58Words cannot describe.
01:00That's how I feel right now.
01:01No film crew.
01:02No food.
01:03No water.
01:05Sound is directly overhead.
01:06It's boiling hot.
01:07Not even a knife.
01:09Right, come on, Ed.
01:09Go and move on.
01:10This time, it's about more than survival.
01:13I want to see if I can thrive.
01:15Yes.
01:15Anywhere.
01:16Let's do it.
01:24Let's do it.
01:24Let's do it.
01:29Let's do it.
01:29I'm in Namibia in South West Africa, a vast country made up largely of desert, it has
01:46a tiny human population living alongside a host of dangerous wildlife.
01:56I'm being dropped in the remote Omahiki region near the border of Botswana and I'm here right
02:05at the end of a very long dry season.
02:09A weird feeling of apprehension, it's impossible to be 100% relaxed, I think, if you're about
02:23to get into an unknown situation.
02:26Okay, the vehicle's dropped me off.
02:35This place looks horrible, it's just thorns and dry stuff, crikey.
03:12That's the way I'm going.
03:16Before going into isolation, I met the sand bushman who've thrived in this harsh environment
03:21for thousands of years.
03:24Like them, I know that any remaining water holes are likely to be downhill.
03:30I'm going to be able to get rid of them.
03:31I'm going to be able to get rid of them.
03:39This is a baboon shed.
03:42That's a good sign.
03:44If baboons can survive out here, so can I.
03:48That, however, is slightly more ominous.
03:57It looks like the first sign of a kill.
04:06Think that's a large antelope.
04:08But to kill an animal this size, I reckon this would have to be a leopard.
04:13That's a warning shot across the bowels, isn't it?
04:17Definitely a big cat around here, and I think it's probably a leopard.
04:22Leopards are stealthy and powerful predators.
04:26But they're not the only thing I need to look out for.
04:29There's also venomous snakes, including the infamous black mamba.
04:34And smaller things, with a nasty bite, that can carry diseases.
04:42It's 40 degrees.
04:44I'm dehydrating, and I need water fast.
04:50Trying to do a few things at once.
04:56I'm trying to think and walk.
05:01It's Africa.
05:02It's the end of dry season.
05:04The plus side of that is that I should be able to find the materials in order to make fire.
05:11And if there's a predator around here, then I probably need to make fire tonight, don't I?
05:20Yeah.
05:24This bush here is a raisin bush.
05:26A raisin bush is what the sand bushman used to light fires.
05:30And that will make a brilliant drill.
05:33That is half the fire kit done already.
05:35I can see the river channel is narrowing ahead.
05:50And it looks like it's getting greener.
05:52Which could be a good sign.
05:56I can see.
05:57I can see water through the gap there.
06:01It's water.
06:05It is water.
06:08It is water.
06:09It's massive.
06:10It's really, really big.
06:14Look at that lake.
06:15Food.
06:16That's what birds mean to me.
06:21Food.
06:22Any animals here will drink from this water.
06:27It could be harbouring parasites and disease.
06:33Digging a hole and allowing the water to seep through could act as a natural filter.
06:45It looks quite dirty at the moment.
06:47I think this can't be choosers.
06:57Tastes a little bit, um, ha, ha, earthy to say the least.
07:01But, um, that's liquid.
07:03And I'm happy.
07:04I'm just looking at this lake and thinking, this could be abundant.
07:17This could be one of the most plentiful missions I've ever been on.
07:22Exciting.
07:27But food for me also means food for other carnivores.
07:31So, before I get too carried away, I need to find a base camp.
07:37It'll be dark soon.
07:38And with predators about, I need to sleep off the ground.
07:44These two trees up here look fairly promising.
07:51I'll just see if I can literally wedge myself in the, uh, in between those two boughs there.
07:56And, um...
07:58What's that on the other bank?
08:04That looks like...
08:09Okay, there's baboons on the other side of the lake.
08:12One, two, three...
08:15Four.
08:17Are they all baboons?
08:19There's loads. There's about fifteen.
08:20I've had close encounters with baboons, and they can be extremely territorial and aggressive.
08:30I need to get fire going to keep them, and anything else, at bay.
08:37This wood is like, um, dream wood.
08:42This is so light.
08:45And it's, uh, bone, bone dry.
08:47I think this will make a perfect hearth.
08:51I've got a drill. I've got a hearth.
08:54I've got a knife.
08:56All I need now is some, um, very, very dry tinder to make a little tinder bundle out of.
09:01If I can get a fire going.
09:02Remember.
09:17Yes!
09:21Yes, fire!
09:23Fire, fire, fire.
09:25Oof, there's my drill.
09:27How am I that?
09:29Golly.
09:31My biggest worry now, this place is bone, bone dry, and I cannot cause a bushfire.
09:41Wildfires can spread incredibly quickly, and destroy everything in their path.
09:48The majority are started by humans.
09:51But with these stones in place, I'm happy that my fire is contained.
09:59Fire!
10:03I've got water, a shelter of sorts, and fire.
10:07Now, I just need something to cook on it.
10:09I've spotted several types of birds I can eat, and as it turns to dusk, bigger animals start to appear.
10:17There is six massive animals over there.
10:24There's four very large antelope.
10:27And there's two warthog, and that means pig, which means bacon.
10:32I am just running through my mind, the traps that I've got up here, that I can use to catch animals of that size.
10:41It won't be easy.
10:44All these animals usually flee at any sign of predators, which is exactly how they'll see me.
10:51But turning hunter will have to wait till tomorrow.
10:55It's getting dark, so along with my fire, I build a boma, a ring of thorny branches around my tree, to protect me.
11:14That's better, isn't it?
11:17Before we're going down there, I know I'm up in the tree.
11:20It's quite warm as well, but importantly, I'm off the ground, and I'm safe from any predators.
11:30I'm not sure about sleeping.
11:33The possibilities here are unbelievable.
11:38If I get this right, I could be eating game, I could be eating duck, I could even be eating bacon.
11:44I just need to use this and these to catch them.
11:51But that soon turns out to be harder than I think.
11:54Bye-night.
12:03I'm Ed Stafford, and I've just spent my first night in Namibia up a tree.
12:08I've managed to make fire and find water, but I've yet to eat anything, despite all the possibilities surrounding me.
12:20It's pretty serene here this morning.
12:23If I'm going to thrive here, as well as find food, I need to make myself a proper shelter.
12:28I've got to be honest, I had a terrible night's sleep up there, and so I'm going to build myself a platform.
12:38But just looking at that tree, and then looking over at this tree, I think I've been parking up the wrong tree.
12:47Okay, this is where I'm going to build my castle in the sky.
12:57I'm going to have a fire on the floor underneath, so I can have underfloor heating.
13:01And also, I've got a sneaky view, a bit like a hide of the water, so I can see all the animals without them seeing me.
13:10This should help me sleep safe and sound.
13:27I can actually lie down.
13:31That's really good.
13:34That is really, really good.
13:37Shelter sorted, my focus shifts to my stomach.
13:43I've seen no sign of edible plants, so my only option is to catch something.
13:48I am hungry. Building this shelter has made me extraordinarily hungry.
13:55Maybe it's time to start thinking about setting some traps.
14:07It's very soon going to be the heat of the day, so I'm just out on a bit of a hunt.
14:18Plants should provide cordage material for me to make bird traps.
14:23But I'm so hungry now, I'll eat anything I can find.
14:26I haven't eaten anything, sir.
14:30Oop, just had a little wiggle. Scared me. Ha-ha.
14:37Mmm, creamy.
14:42Scorpion.
14:43Okay, that there is a little scorpion. And he can't do much because they've taken his sting off.
14:54This bush picnic packs a poultry protein punch.
14:58I need to get going with my trapping and catch something bigger.
15:01Little grasshopper.
15:06Whoa, juicy.
15:10Eventually, I find the plant I need.
15:13Okay, this is what I've been looking for, this oryx horn plant.
15:18It's a very spiky plant.
15:20I can use this to make string for my traps.
15:23Very good morning's work. I'm, uh, utterly exhausted.
15:38I think there's just, uh, one more thing I want to do before I rest up and start making string.
15:49That was refreshing.
15:50Ah, reset button. An utter reset button.
15:57There is just so much activity in here, it's got to be cut fish.
16:01This is such a prime area.
16:04Maybe I stirred up some of the, um, things that they're eating on the bottom of the, um, lake bed.
16:13This natural bay looks like the perfect place to make a fish trap.
16:17Teasing me at the moment. This place is teasing me with the amount of potential options.
16:26I keep getting excited with the, with the next big plan.
16:30Um, I think first though, is bird traps.
16:34I'm gonna make the cordage today.
16:36I could be eating well.
16:37I could be eating well.
16:38I could be eating well within a day or two.
16:41These plants might not be edible, but they'll help me catch food.
16:49Do you see that?
16:57Do you see that?
16:58Do you see, Atyoo Question 3
17:01While the string for my nooses dries, the temperature is dropped enough for me to build my fish trap.
17:06trap okay this is my plan I've got the coast here the big bay here the catfish are coming in here
17:15and it's really shallow so my plan is to build two walls one there and one there so that the
17:25catfish come in get funneled through this little gap and I should have myself some catfish for
17:32dinner why don't you use these big lumps of driftwood and then pin them down with the
17:41stones and I should make myself there's quite big walls in no time at all it's an investment but
17:54you know it's in hopefully the works will keep working again and again and again that could
18:00provide me with a plentiful supply like a sustainable supply it's taking longer than I thought so I'll
18:05finish it in the morning and get my bushman's traps made this evening in the last few hours of light
18:11okay I've got a string ready for my first trap
18:14but that's your noose I know from the sand bushman which seeds the birds here like
18:28I'm baiting two traps to maximize my chances of catching something
18:34okay trap set the guinea fowl puts his head down into there eats the seed dislodges the toggle the
18:52nose tightens and the whip arm picks up after all that activity I'm completely wiped out it's the end
19:02of day two and all I've eaten is a handful of bugs it's beautiful evening starting to get hungry now I
19:09have to say it's so dry there's nothing else to eat around here there's no fruits there's no berries
19:17there's no nuts there's no tubers nothing I just have to catch something
19:27I can't really see anything
19:35I feel like standing on
19:40oh no marbles
19:43in the dark
19:45I'm lying down
19:52and I'm six feet off the ground
19:53that's pretty good isn't it
19:56morning
20:07the sun is just literally bouncing off the surface of the water
20:12and before the heat of the day I'm gonna go down and finish my trap for the catfish
20:18I need to eat
20:21I do need to eat
20:24it's done it's finished
20:37filled every single conceivable gap
20:40and nothing that's bigger than my two fingers can squeeze out of this trap
20:45the final piece is the plug
20:48which once I've driven the fish in
20:50will stop them escaping
20:52trap done
20:53I suspect I've scared all the fish away
20:56so I'm leaving the trap to settle for a bit
20:58now to check my bird traps
21:02it's been sprung
21:09it has been sprung
21:13I've got a bird
21:17not sure exactly what bird this is
21:23that's a good amount of protein
21:26if I get some fish today as well
21:30I'll be eating well
21:31there's quite a lot of catfish jumping in the water now
21:41so I'm gonna try my first drive
21:43looping around and trying to push the catfish into the hole
21:47fish for supper
22:07it's not a catfish
22:16it's not a catfish
22:18a brace
22:28a brace of fish with the bird
22:30good meal
22:31happy days
22:32nice one
22:35time of plenty has started hasn't it
22:39I turned up here and I thought
22:41this should be an eating first
22:44my first few days of hard graft
22:47are starting to pay off
22:49this will be my first proper meal
22:51in three days
22:52okay
22:57one plucked bird
22:58ready for roasting
23:00fish first I think
23:15all those bones
23:18worth it
23:21when you've got big chunks
23:23of white
23:24fish
23:26like that
23:27I'm eating well
23:33I'm eating absolutely so well
23:35I think this mission
23:37so far
23:38is a success
23:39that's until I make a serious tactical error
23:45and become my own worst enemy
23:48this game over for me
23:50I'm Ed Stafford
23:54and I'm four days into my mission in Namibia
23:57having started with nothing
23:59I ate well last night
24:01but to really thrive
24:03I need a varied diet
24:04so it's time to start thinking big
24:07the war dogs
24:09the war dogs
24:09are just down here
24:13starting to build a picture of the wildlife around here
24:20and if they're coming out of there
24:23each day
24:25and drinking
24:28then maybe this is where I
24:31think about setting a pig trap
24:34to figure out the best place to lay one
24:38I'm following the warthog tracks
24:40I'd love to get a warthog
24:43because I can cut that up
24:44and I can get through that as well
24:46and I can eat all the bacon
24:48and pork chops
24:49and pork belly
24:52I can smoke dead animal
25:02roasting animal
25:03there's probably a carcass around here somewhere
25:06that's it
25:11okay
25:13and this is well there
25:15this is a little antelope
25:17oh it's disgusting
25:19it's not fresh enough for me to eat
25:21but it looks like other animals have been feeding on it
25:25if there are meat eaters around
25:28I need to know if I'm in serious danger
25:30so I'm leaving one of my cameras running
25:33to see if it catches anything
25:34okay that should do
25:38okay this
25:52is the first sign of human activity since I've been here
25:56this must be an old
25:58boundary line or something
26:00you see the row of stones leading away from it
26:03what I'm thinking
26:05is this wire could be very very useful for me
26:08I'll make some wire snares
26:11which should hopefully improve my chances of catching a warthog
26:14but hope alone won't fill my belly
26:18and my bird traps are empty today
26:22so it's down to my fish trap
26:25thankfully
26:33the two days I spent building it
26:36are proving worthwhile
26:37first one of the day
26:45got one
26:55food
27:03and glorious food
27:07it's day five
27:16my fish traps yielding rich rewards
27:19but man cannot live on fish alone
27:21and in a bid to really thrive
27:23I'm after bigger prey
27:25but before I go hunting
27:27I want to know what could end up hunting me
27:30okay interestingly
27:32the carcass has actually definitely moved
27:34so
27:35something will be caught on the camera track
27:38because something's been eating this
27:39okay
27:43well immediately what's that
27:53something eating the carcass
27:55it's a lynx
27:59no way
28:02that's amazing
28:04just shows that there are big cats out there
28:07a lynx isn't
28:09isn't a man-eater
28:10but it's a predator
28:11oh wow
28:16we've got warthogs
28:17there's warthogs on the carcass
28:21wow
28:23look at the tusks on that
28:24wow
28:26you would not want to mess with that
28:29if I actually do manage to catch myself a warthog
28:33I need to be so careful
28:34these things are going to be dangerous
28:36look how much meat there is on that
28:40in my opinion that is the clincher
28:45I need to set traps around the carcass
28:47that's where the animals are
28:49all I need to do
28:51is use the wire off that old boundary line
28:53to make snares
28:55I make three traps
28:59and block all other access with scrub
29:01each wire noose is attached to a long post
29:06so if a warthog gets snared
29:08it'll run
29:09the noose will tighten
29:10and the post will get caught up in the undergrowth
29:13as horrible as it may sound
29:15it will strangle itself to death
29:18I've made the nooses too big to snag a lynx
29:21I'm only after the warthogs
29:25but I've been so busy today
29:27I've taken my eye off the bigger picture
29:29I forgot to
29:31I forgot to go fishing
29:32I was so intent on
29:34on setting snares for the warthogs
29:36that I
29:37I didn't
29:38I didn't check the fish trap
29:40when all the fish were active
29:42and they're not active now
29:43they've all gone to bed or sleep or something
29:45I really hope
29:47that I catch a pig
29:49I really do
29:49tomorrow
29:51fingers crossed
29:53it's going to be a day of plenty
29:54one week in
30:06and my land of plenty
30:07isn't quite living up to its name
30:09if I'm lucky enough to trap a warthog
30:15and it's still alive
30:16I'm going to need a quick and efficient way to kill it
30:19so I've made this crude looking axe
30:21attaching a rock
30:22with some old animal hide that I found
30:24off to
30:27check the warthog trap
30:30it's funny isn't it
30:33you come in thinking
30:34that you're going to be able to
30:35survive like a sand bushman
30:36and you end up
30:37using
30:37poaching tactics
30:39I could be able to face
30:44an injured
30:44frightened animal
30:45that's when they're at their most dangerous
30:48and unpredictable
30:50first thing I'm checking for is
30:53this sound
30:55I can't hear any
30:57commotion
30:58all three posts are still here
31:12all the traps are still in place
31:18traps still set
31:22optimism still
31:24but caught up in my enthusiasm for pig trapping
31:32I've failed to notice what's happening right in front of me
31:36for some reason
31:41the water level has also gone down
31:45quite markedly you can see where I did the fish trap
31:51it's almost not there anymore
31:53the wall is almost on dry land
31:55so it does show that the rains were overdue
31:59the water is going down and down and down
32:01this trap has been my most reliable source of food
32:06so I've now got a dilemma
32:08spend at least a day rebuilding it in deeper water
32:11or concentrate my efforts on the warthog
32:13it's an easy choice
32:18I'm craving pig
32:20laying two more traps on the warthog path
32:30will maximise my chances of catching one
32:32I've now got five traps out in total
32:38and the thought of bacon
32:39is driving me to distraction
32:41over the next two days
32:45as hunger totally consumes me
32:47I go back and forth
32:48obsessively checking my traps
32:50nothing
32:52no bacon tonight
32:54my normal survival instincts seem to have deserted me
32:59everything has become about catching a warthog
33:02nothing in the pig trap
33:11and nothing in this one either
33:15bacon not on the menu today
33:20never mind
33:22it is big
33:37well I got a little bit excited there
33:50there was two of the posts were on the sides
33:56and I thought that they'd been triggered and had caught something
34:00but they'd just been smashed over
34:01so I wonder whether
34:03I wonder whether the warthogs have been back
34:06but the traps haven't been effective enough to catch them
34:10now after all my obsessing over the hogs
34:13my time here in Namibia is nearly done
34:16as far as catching pigs is concerned
34:18it's game over for me
34:20I'm exhausted
34:27I am absolutely exhausted
34:29my decision to go all or nothing for the warthogs means I haven't eaten anything for days
34:36this is not the way things were meant to go
34:39after days of failure
34:51and nothing to eat
34:52I've got one more full day here in Namibia
34:55to try and redeem myself
34:57and prove I can thrive
34:59and not just survive
35:00I've woken up with a new frame of mind this morning
35:04yesterday
35:05I allowed
35:06the difficulty of the conditions I suppose
35:09and the difficulty of being a bit malnourished
35:12and a bit sleep deprived
35:13I allowed that to get me down
35:15and I started moaning and grumbling
35:17to myself
35:18internally in my head
35:20and then I just thought
35:22do you know what Ed
35:23take responsibility for who you are
35:25and where you are
35:26and the phenomenal setting that you're in
35:30and the incredible experience that you're having
35:32just own it
35:33take responsibility
35:34and chuck a load of positivity
35:36and love and energy at it
35:38grin widely
35:41and go
35:42I can deal with this
35:43the lake's become a bit of a false security blanket for me
35:51I'm going to cast it aside
35:53and head for the hills
35:55the fish trap is now
35:59pretty much unusable
36:01and there's no way
36:03on my last full day here
36:04I'm rebuilding that wall
36:05so there's going to be no fish today
36:08I need to go further afield
36:10and try and find some food
36:12first
36:18this last little bit to climb
36:20and then I'm at the top there
36:23I was just
36:42taking a little rest
36:44at the top of this hill
36:46thinking I'm just exhausted
36:49and then a rock moved
36:50and it's moving again
36:52I got a tortoise
37:07that is amazing
37:13proper food
37:14a proper full stomach tonight
37:16thank you
37:20thank you
37:21thank you
37:22the sand bushman
37:26the sand bushman consider these
37:27a delicacy
37:28I know the meat's going to be good
37:30killing animals is never
37:37never easy
37:38especially something like
37:39this big old tortoise
37:41and that
37:47is dead
37:49I can't afford to waste
37:51any opportunity
37:52to get nutrients
37:53inside me
37:54even its blood
37:55is crucial
37:56that's a weird thing
38:05that's a weird thing to do
38:06the thought of it
38:07was quite disgusting
38:07I've never drank
38:08the blood of a freshly
38:09killed animal before
38:10but um
38:11taste is good
38:13really good
38:14okay
38:15tortoise
38:16blood
38:17drinking
38:18ticked off the list
38:19cooking it in its shell
38:28will help protect it
38:29from the embers
38:30and retain as much
38:31moisture as possible
38:32I'm going to leave it
38:34in the embers for
38:34I think about
38:36three and a half hours
38:37I reckon
38:37so it's nice and slow cooked
38:38by late evening
38:40this will be ready
38:40I feel good
38:41I feel strong
38:43after that blood
38:43I have to say
38:44so I'm just going to scrape
38:51sand off the top
38:53the shell has actually
39:02become puncturable
39:03I wasn't expecting
39:06at all
39:07that makes it very easy
39:08to break into
39:09this is
39:13this is trite
39:15and this is
39:16the intestines
39:17oh
39:18look at that meat there
39:20it's just
39:21wow
39:30just utterly delicious
39:37after several days
39:41of nothing to eat
39:42this is literally
39:44the best thing
39:45I've ever tasted
39:46not a bad
39:48end to the trip
39:49really
39:50I've got a full belly
39:51I've eaten well
39:52I'm well hydrated
39:53I'd hope to be able
39:54to live here
39:55like the sand do
39:56but these guys
39:58have got so much
39:59experience
40:00they've got so much
40:01knowledge
40:02that's been passed down
40:03over thousands of years
40:04over generation
40:05upon generation
40:06it's not possible
40:07to learn that fast
40:09and so what I've had to do
40:12is just
40:12you know
40:13cobble by using
40:14my own knowledge
40:16I've made a living
40:18it's my last morning
40:32in Namibia
40:33and after last night's feast
40:35I'm up early
40:36and full of beans
40:37I've decided to use
40:40the tortoise shell
40:41for one last act
40:42of thriving
40:43there's a plant
40:44around here
40:44called shepherd's tree
40:46I'm going to go
40:48and excavate some root
40:50mash it up
40:51and have coffee
40:54for the morning
40:55I add the root
40:58then some hot rocks
40:59from the fire
41:00to boil the water
41:01and this is now
41:09the moment of trees
41:10I just need to take
41:11the super hooted rocks
41:13out
41:13that's probably a good idea
41:14better way to start
41:17your day
41:18that'll be the
41:22mouthpiece
41:22then
41:23oh that does taste
41:29like coffee
41:30that's amazing
41:31that is extraordinary
41:34that's so good
41:35to drink coffee
41:36in the morning
41:37I can't tell you
41:39how much I've missed
41:39that
41:40what a trip
41:47eh
41:48what a trip
41:48I think for me
41:50the overriding theme
41:51of this particular mission
41:52was being surrounded
41:53by so many animals
41:55to be able to
41:57literally look up
41:57and all the time
41:58see them
41:59and come close to
42:01but not been able
42:02to catch them all
42:03they've teased me
42:05they've tempted me
42:06I just wanted to
42:11put in a little
42:13appearance
42:14right at the end
42:16to say
42:17yeah
42:17I'm still here
42:19but
42:20he didn't catch me
42:22I sorted water
42:25shelter
42:26and fire
42:27on my first night
42:28and began to eat well
42:29but then my bacon obsession
42:32nearly ruined me
42:33it was a tough
42:35lesson to learn
42:36goodbye to my little camp
42:44it's been extraordinarily
42:46comfortable
42:46that little camp
42:47over the time
42:48I've been here
42:49with my final
42:53last burst of energy
42:54I pushed on
42:56and found the tortoise
42:57I could live on those
42:58until I caught
42:59bigger game
43:00but when the rains come
43:02there'll be even more
43:03food around
43:04that was the turning point
43:07from surviving
43:08to thriving
43:09Namivia
43:12at the end of dry season
43:13done
43:15got un-dusted
