00:00Well, some testy political waters there, and of course, Rochelle, it's also hazardous seas.
00:06But of course, that's not going to affect my weekend plans, because all I intend to do is get some long-awaited rest.
00:11What about you? What do you have planned for this weekend?
00:13I'm going to chill at home and watch a good movie. I haven't done that in a while.
00:17But let me tell you what's happening in our weather.
00:21Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:23After a long, long, long week, we can finally say it's Friday.
00:30And now it's time for your weather.
00:32An area of disturbance is now flagged with a 40% chance for cyclonic formation over the next seven days.
00:40It is moving generally westward, and by the end of the week, sorry, a tropical depression could form just east of the Lesser Antilles.
00:48Regardless of development, the system may bring heavy showers and thunderstorms to the northern westward and Leeward Islands by Thursday, that's October 9th.
00:57With unstable weather likely across the rest of the islands on Thursday and Friday.
01:04Now, let's take a look at conditions in Porta, Spain.
01:06Personally, TV6's weather center says downtown is mostly clear with temperatures at 31 degrees Celsius.
01:12We have winds coming southeast at two knots and humidity is at 74%.
01:17Let's see what we're getting tonight.
01:19Tonight, the Met Office says expect fair to partly cloudy conditions with a few showers.
01:24There's a low to medium chance of isolated thunderstorm activity after midnight.
01:29Minimum temperatures are 24 degrees in Trinidad and 26 over in Tobago.
01:35And tomorrow, partly cloudy to cloudy intervals with a few light to moderate showers will interrupt hot and sunny conditions.
01:42Isolated afternoon heavy showers or thunderstorms are likely.
01:46We have maximum temperatures at 34 degrees in Trinidad and 33 in Tobago.
01:52Sunny days.
01:54Everybody loves them.
01:55But can you stand the rain?
01:57Because that's exactly what we're getting on Sunday and Monday.
02:01Mostly hot and sunny conditions that will be interrupted by partly cloudy to cloudy spells, accompanied by a few showers.
02:07There's a medium chance of isolated afternoon heavy showers or thunderstorms.
02:12Maximum temperatures are 34 degrees in Trinidad and 33 in Tobago on Sunday.
02:17And 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago on Monday.
02:22Tomorrow's seas are looking moderate with waves 1.5 meters to 2.5 meters in open waters.
02:29And 1 meter to 1.5 meters in sheltered areas.
02:33Now to our sun times.
02:34Sunrise is at 5.54 in Trinidad and it was set at 5.54.
02:39Over in Tobago, sunrise is at 5.51 and it was set at 5.52.
02:44For anyone with boating activities planned for tomorrow, please note that there is a hazardous sea alert yellow level starting from Saturday, October 4th at 5 a.m.
02:54To Wednesday, October 8th at 9 a.m.
02:58Strong long period swells from the north-northeast combined with spring tides will lead to rough and agitated sea conditions, especially during high tides.
03:09Expect large, powerful waves in the surf zone.
03:13These are the possible impacts, disruption to near-shore activities like fishing, swimming and mooring, saltwater intrusion and sand displacement further inland than usual.
03:25Now, slight improvement is expected Monday morning, but rough conditions will return by the afternoon.
03:31Instructions for all marine interests, monitor coastal sea conditions closely, avoid or limit near-shore activities, secure boats and coastal property, and follow updates from official sources like the Trinidad and Tobago Met Office.
03:47Now that we have that covered, here are your tight lines.
04:00Head to Hawaii.
04:02In international news, since late last year, Hawaii's Kilo Weah volcano has been regularly erupting, shooting lava from its summit crater.
04:12These eruptions have amazed locals, tourists and online viewers with streams of glowing molten rock.
04:20On Wednesday, the volcano had its 34th eruption since December.
04:24Scientists say these are all part of the same ongoing eruption because the magma keeps taking the same path to the surface.
04:33Lava fountains from South Bend shot up 1,300 feet into the air, taller than the Empire State Building.
04:41That's really tall.
04:43That's all for weather tonight and congratulations to Akeem Stewart for bringing home silver at the World Parathletics Championships in India today.
04:53Our sportsmen are on a roll.
04:55Great way to start the weekend celebrations.
04:57Now, don't go anywhere.
