00:00He may have sight be on sight, but did Mattel make an oversight when designing this figure?
00:05Here's a look at the Mattel, Massive Universe Thundercats, Lionel, Lord of the Thundercats.
00:09The Thundercats
00:39Lord Lionel from the Massive Universe and Thundercats collaboration.
00:43Let's figure out just how tall the leader of the cat stands.
00:46I've already had a look in the previous reviews of both Chitara, Skelra, and in the most recent review, we've also looked at Battle Cat Man.
00:53How is Lionel going to stack up with all of those figures?
00:56You'll just have to wait and see.
00:57In the meantime, though, look at C.
00:59The figure is going to stand about six inches.
01:01In fact, he stands exactly six inches in height, working out to be a figure that's 15 centimeters tall.
01:06Before we bring in the most litter-trained cats in the universe, we first bring in the most powerful man in the universe.
01:11Here's what Lionel looks like, though, with a regular He-Man.
01:14And while we're at it, though, let's also bring in the 2000s series so you can see what he looks like with that.
01:19Also bring in the Thundercats figures that we've already had a look at.
01:21First, though, Battle Cat Man with a few corrections by the person behind the camera.
01:24In his review, though, I did mention that I had to disassemble all the parts, take off his arms, take off his torso, take off his head, just to get off the bandolier armor that was featured on the front of his torso.
01:35When, in fact, if you flip the figure, though, around, on the back, though, all you have to do...
01:40Oh, Butterfingers me.
01:42All you have to do is just detach the armor on the back, and you would just be able to slide this completely off.
01:46So in that review, don't do what I did.
01:48Don't take off everything in the pursuit of trying to get all the armor off.
01:51The arms are still, though, something that's going to have a problem staying in place.
01:55At least I have a difficult time.
01:56And yes, though, I have also fixed the shoulder pads.
02:00I'm sure it was driving some viewers bananas by the fact I had the armor, the shoulder pads, facing the wrong way.
02:06Size-wise, though, you can certainly, though, see that Lino, while being about the same size as, obviously, He-Man, is a little bit, though, shorter than Battle Cat Man.
02:14We also had a look, though, at Chitara.
02:17Hold on there, Chitara.
02:18We're going to come back and pick you up in a second.
02:20Here's also what they look like with Mom-Ra.
02:21Formerly, Skel-Ra, although I do really like the preferred look of having him more displayed as Mom-Ra.
02:27Get Chitara here to stand.
02:28Got a little bit of space here also on the side here.
02:30I'm also going to bring in Sun-Man.
02:32He's, speaking of collaborations, Sun-Man, probably one of the oldest collaborations.
02:37Not intentionally, though.
02:38Obviously, it wasn't really part of the original Master Universe-Universe collab.
02:41But though, through, obviously, having a little sub-line in the side,
02:45Mattel eventually brought in Sun-Man and welcomed into the family all the other figures that we currently have on display.
02:51Now, Lion-O does come in clue with a mini-comic.
02:53He does come with a paper pamphlet.
02:55Yes, that paper pamphlet got ripped.
02:57And then he does have, then, swappable parts.
02:59If you don't really like that Eternian look, though, for the figure,
03:01you can basically just strip everything off.
03:03And I will find, though, the easier way to do it than what I was doing earlier with the Battle Cat Man.
03:08But let's go back just a little bit.
03:09Let's look at the ripped paper pamphlet that you may have noticed at the beginning of this review.
03:13Boy, carelessly, I was just taking everything out of the packaging.
03:16And while I was opening up the back of the packaging, through that, unfortunately, I ripped off the pamphlet.
03:21From at least what we can see from sort of Lion-O's waist up,
03:24you get sort of the jest in mind that you can take the armor off, swap them around,
03:29and you can switch out parts to transform regular Lion-O to Motu Lion-O.
03:36Let's finish the job that I started by discarding that off to the side.
03:40The figure does also come in clear with a mini-comic.
03:42The mini-comic is, in fact, the same one that we've gotten with both Chatar and Battle Cat Man,
03:46called Third Eternia.
03:48Even though my thumb was really covering over the A,
03:51we've still kind of been able to decipher what E-T-E-R-N-I is without the A.
03:57I mean, it could have been Etern-E, but everybody knows that would be ridiculous.
04:01What isn't, though, ridiculous is the fact that, obviously, on the back,
04:03they advertised all the characters of the other two, at least, characters
04:07that were available for this current wave.
04:09Since then, though, I have also found my ways to get myself Tigra and Panthro.
04:14So, in fact, a shameless plug for future videos.
04:17We will be looking at those in future videos.
04:21Looking, though, through quickly the pages.
04:24Can I just draw your attention for a second, if you don't mind?
04:26I know you have places you need to go, you have people you need to hang out with,
04:29but if I just interrupt that idea, just to kind of show you, though,
04:32the illustrations inside the Thundercats comics I find are better than the Turtles,
04:37even though I'm sure it's the exact same artist.
04:39Somehow, though, the artist has done a better job with the Thundercats stuff
04:43than what he has even done with the Master Universe mini-comics.
04:46Really nice artwork, especially Skelra, featured on the back.
04:51Let's put that off to the side.
04:52I already have a couple of these anyways, but it's always good to hold on to these.
04:55Okay, so, for Lion-O, yes, yes, much similar to Chitara.
05:00If you don't really like that he has Motu armor on,
05:04you can essentially just take it all off and swap it out with all the things that he has over here.
05:08I guess the most crucial thing is the figure does come included with the Sword of Omens.
05:12Now, he only has one version of the Sword of Omens,
05:14so the shrunk-down version doesn't come included with this figure.
05:18I'm sure, though, it could be something that could be included, like, maybe with a Snarf.
05:21A Snarf, I'm sure, we will be eventually getting.
05:24And I'm wondering, though, how they're going to approach a Snarf.
05:26It'd be kind of cool if they turned him into a wizard similar to Orko.
05:29A tiny little character that's floating in the air.
05:32A floating Snarf.
05:33Snarf, Snarf!
05:33Would be ideal.
05:35If you look, though, at the Sword of Omens, it's all done here in grey plastic.
05:38It's a pretty bendable plastic, too.
05:40It's not the kind you really have to worry about.
05:41But on one side, sight beyond sight.
05:45And then on the other side, of course, the cat's eye.
05:47Or the cat's logo.
05:49That would be the cat's eye.
05:49That would be the cat's logo.
05:51Zzz!
05:52One of the largest laser sights, I think, in any cartoon.
05:55If you're really going to be drawing cats to anything,
05:57just get yourself a laser sight and just point it up in the air.
06:00Cats will be following it all around.
06:02Certainly works at my house.
06:04Now, this can also be held in his hand.
06:06Now, he only really has one holding hand on one side of the figure's body.
06:09He does have the cat's claw.
06:11We're going to talk a little bit about the cat's claw in a second.
06:14First, though, though, if you want to take the Sword of Omens,
06:17you just clip it into his hand like that.
06:19Boy, that is easy, right?
06:20I told you it was easy.
06:21Well, I didn't actually tell you it was easy.
06:23I'm telling you right now.
06:24You can also take, though, the Sword of Omens.
06:26Let go, let go.
06:27And you can put it on the back of the figure's body.
06:30You don't have to make the noise, obviously,
06:32when you're sliding on the back of his armor.
06:34But that's a good place to, of course, store the Sword of Omens
06:36when you don't want to have it displayed with the figure.
06:37Does it, though, attach with the cat's claw?
06:40No, it does not.
06:41I mean, first of all, it's not the right size.
06:43Second of all, there is a peg here,
06:44but the peg plays more of a purpose when he gets his belt.
06:47We're going to talk about that also in a second.
06:50The Sword of Omens is also something as well that,
06:53just to bring in...
06:54Get him here to stand for a second.
06:55Stay there, Lino.
06:56Don't be going away on me.
06:57Just to compare this one, though, with the Power Sword.
07:00So you guys can see, there's obviously quite a big size difference.
07:03This one's a much shinier silver as well.
07:05And while we were holding swords, too,
07:08I did want to also bring in the 2000X Sword of Omens.
07:11Sword of Omens, the Power Sword.
07:12I never really liked the Power Sword from the 2000X series.
07:16Overly complicated for what it really needed to be.
07:18Sure, it rotated it.
07:19Sure, it did things.
07:20But I'm fine more just with the OG.
07:22So that's the different swords on display.
07:25We're going to put that down here for a second.
07:27We're going to look at all the other things here as well.
07:29Now, the figure does have a swappable hand.
07:31And so eventually, though, when you do strip off the armor,
07:34you can take the cat's claw and you can attach onto his belt.
07:37So, of course, when you do that, now poor Lino is not going to have an extra hand.
07:41So can somebody lend him a hand?
07:43Mattel can lend him a hand.
07:44And that's just going to obviously peg onto the end of his forearm.
07:47The figure does also have some swappable booties.
07:49Similar in the way, though, that Chitara had swappable boots.
07:53Again, if you want to have the figure displayed as the mass universe design with the armor,
07:57you can just keep the boots really on.
07:59Or you can swap them off.
08:00Or, again, like what you can also do is somewhat meet in the middle.
08:04Sort of have the bread on either side.
08:05And then the good fillings are in the inside.
08:07The peanut butter, the jam, the bologna.
08:09Obviously, don't mix all those things together.
08:11But if you want to kind of meet it more, though, in the middle,
08:13you could choose the things that you want to keep on Lino and do the things, you know.
08:16So it's not just completely a cartoon Lino.
08:19I did do that, though, with Chitara.
08:20I kind of just said to myself, I really want this to look like the original cartoon Chitara.
08:24But, yeah, I could have easily just met in the middle.
08:26Maybe kept the boots.
08:28Maybe even kept the armor on.
08:29You know, one good thing, at least, though,
08:31is you can kind of keep the parts on the Lino that you want to have
08:34and just obviously discard the rest.
08:36I will say one thing I'm going to be discarding on the figure right away, though,
08:38is his hairpiece.
08:40I have seen images online of Lino.
08:42And I've got to tell you, though, I really wasn't loving the face.
08:45I've got to say the face isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
08:49I know there are some people that have really, really ripped on this head sculpt
08:53being one of the most terrible-looking Lino head sculpts we've gotten.
08:57I know there has been other bad Lino heads there, too.
09:00But I think really one of the biggest issues, though, with this head sculpt
09:02isn't so much, though, the face.
09:04It's the hairpiece.
09:05This hair, first of all, if you compare the two that he has,
09:09I like longer locks on my Lino.
09:11So I'm probably going to be going with this one anyways.
09:13But I think it's also the headdress piece.
09:14This headdress sort of squishes everything in and draws more attention to his jowls.
09:19Look at the size of Lino's jowls.
09:22Now, this would just simply be a hair swap.
09:24So you just pop this off and replace it with this one.
09:27I think that's the thing that really is the deal-breaker and almost even kills the face sculpt.
09:31Because when you remove it, don't be alarmed by the fact we got ourselves bald Lino
09:37with a big slot in the top.
09:39It looks like somebody took a stapler to his head.
09:42Or it could be a little tape dispenser.
09:44Why are we going with that?
09:45But I think that's the thing that really does ruin the figure's face.
09:48Isn't so much, though, the face.
09:49I think it's the hairpiece.
09:51Because when you put this hair on, which has to be kind of slid around his ears.
09:55There we go.
09:57Is it still bad?
09:58Yes, it is.
09:59Yes, it is.
10:00But I don't think it's as bad, though, when you change out the hairpiece,
10:04which starts us with this, which ends us with this.
10:06But the longer hair and the fuller hair, I think, also lets this guy breathe a bit.
10:12And also, with not having the head guard, though,
10:14I think that's one thing that doesn't make the face look so tight and squished.
10:17It's still, though, not a perfect Lino.
10:19I get that.
10:20If you would say down below in the comments section,
10:22hey, the guy, like, come on, that's a terrible-looking Lino.
10:24I would be willing to stand to reason and say yes.
10:27A little bit.
10:27It's not the best.
10:28But it certainly, though, is much better when you change out the hair.
10:32For the rest of his armor, though, what's kind of cool, though, about the armor
10:35is that it's this kind of, I was going to say translucent,
10:37this metallic blue that serves as the bandolier.
10:40He's got, of course, the cat symbol there on the front.
10:43Nothing beats when it comes to logos, the original Thundercats logo.
10:46That and I would say Cobra.
10:48Cobra from G.I. Joe are some of my all-time favorites.
10:50They also have matched, though, the same color of armor when it comes to his shoulder.
10:54Now, I look at this, and I think of the Eternia play set from the 80s.
10:58We also got an Origins, way too expensive, way too expensive.
11:01Could have never ventured to buy that.
11:03But I think the face kind of reminds me of the line right in the middle.
11:06And then you've got, like, Snake Mountain over here, right?
11:08And then over here, I think it was Castle Grayskull.
11:10I don't think it was, I don't think it was swapped around the other way.
11:13But this right in the middle does look like the front face of New Eternia.
11:17Or just Eternia, the Eternia play set.
11:19If you don't like this, you can also just take this off altogether.
11:22It's like this is removable, this is removable, the cat's claw is removable,
11:25and you can take off the loincloth and the boots.
11:28I will say one thing, though.
11:29One thing that, while I can kind of say, like, the head sculpt could have been better,
11:33but it's not bad.
11:34I don't like the cat's claw one bit.
11:36It sort of looks like, it looks like he's got a giant leaf, first of all, on his forearm.
11:41And I don't think at all it evokes the feelings that the cat's claw should really have.
11:45I mean, yeah, it doesn't hold a little tiny sword of omens.
11:50It doesn't hold that.
11:51But I think at least, at the very least, they could have designed something a little bit better.
11:54They don't even put, like, the little knuckle things on the ends that would shoot the cables.
11:58That, I think, could have been at least, or at the very least, it looks like it might have been mildly suggested,
12:02but they never went in and painted it.
12:04Again, you can remove this, too.
12:06So to remove all the armor for lino, I think we kind of fully established what the figure looks like front to back.
12:11Yeah, not bad, not bad, not bad.
12:13If you want to take the armor off, though, first things first, let's remove the cat's claw.
12:17So we're just going to pop that off.
12:20Surprisingly, of all the things that are on lino, this one seemed to be the hardest.
12:23So that's going to pop off.
12:24That's eventually going to go onto the cat's belt.
12:27And then we can just, obviously, we're going to go back to using the hand.
12:30Somebody lend this guy a hand.
12:31Here we go.
12:31Just plugging it onto the end of the forearm.
12:34Okay, so I guess really what we should do, too, is leave this off for a second.
12:38We're going to slide the shoulder pad down.
12:41I'm going to put that off to the side there.
12:42And we're going to plug the hand back in place.
12:45Now, you don't really have to dismantle too much.
12:48You're obviously going to have to take the torso off if you want to remove the loincloth.
12:51So we're going to take that off.
12:53And we've got ourselves just the regular trunks of lino underneath.
12:57While we're at it, though, we can slide on the belt.
12:59The belt actually kind of is sandwiched in between.
13:01So it's kind of more just a case where you put it over top of his torso,
13:05hold everything as well as you can in place.
13:07By the way, this is separate, by the way, for the rest of his armor.
13:10I guess we can kind of talk about that.
13:12Okay, while we're at it, too, let's take off the head.
13:14We're kind of just dismantling everything.
13:15We don't have to remove the arms, though.
13:16We're just going to take the bandolier armor all off by the same way that I should have done
13:21with the battle cat man, just detaching on the back.
13:23Take that all off.
13:24Put that off to the side.
13:26Take yourself, then, the belt.
13:28And make sure you've got the belt facing the right way.
13:31Take yourself the lower trunks.
13:33And kind of push everything together.
13:35Now, the one thing you have to kind of really worry about, though,
13:37is that, again, they didn't necessarily paint over top of the plastic.
13:41This is actually a piece of softer plastic that they put over top an existing torso.
13:47So when you put the belt on, the belt doesn't actually have, like, a tab or anything where you can detach it.
13:52Instead, you'll just kind of sandwich everything together, push everything together,
13:56and then bring the cat's belt down.
13:59There we go.
14:00That's the satisfying snap that I need to hear.
14:03Now, one thing, too, about the legs is if you bring the legs together,
14:07he has the smaller trunks.
14:08You can also bring the legs out, and you get a little bit more paint down below.
14:12Entirely your preference, how you want to have that.
14:14Let's put Thundercats, Linos, head back in place.
14:17Didn't need to necessarily put Thundercats on the front of that.
14:20And, yeah, again, we've got a pretty good-looking lino.
14:22Now, you can take off this bracer as well.
14:24You don't necessarily need that either.
14:26It's serving more to be a tutorial than it is to be a review.
14:30And we'll just attach that back in place.
14:32There we go.
14:33We're working well.
14:34We're working well here to get ourselves a fully realized lino.
14:37Now we can take off the boots.
14:38I suppose the boots are also one thing that's a little bit more difficult to do as well.
14:41We're going to detach this, detach this.
14:44There we go.
14:45And we're going to take the new little booties,
14:48and the boots will plug back in place.
14:51Now, essentially, we are doing the same steps that we did with Chitara.
14:54But I found that with Chitara, being that they were just so much smaller.
14:57There we go.
14:58These are a little easier, I find, to attach in place.
15:01We also need to remove ourselves the feet.
15:03And the feet just detach.
15:06There we go.
15:07When you look at them, actually, the peg goes in like a slipper.
15:10It doesn't go straight down.
15:12So when you pull it, you kind of want to pull it out this way.
15:14Do the same thing on this side.
15:17This is such a bad day to use moisturizer.
15:20I use really moisturizer all the time when I'm doing these reviews,
15:22just so my hands look silky smooth and soft.
15:25And again, we're just going to plug the feet in place.
15:29I agree.
15:30I don't probably have them properly in there.
15:32And we'll do the same thing on this other side here, too.
15:34Now, we have most of all this working together now.
15:39I think we've got it.
15:40I think we've got it.
15:40Do we have this?
15:41Just kind of twist the feet around.
15:45There we go.
15:47I admit there needs to be some few corrections that need to really be made.
15:51But then we get ourselves the cat's claw.
15:52We'll kind of move line those arm out of the way.
15:54And then there's a loop right here, or a hole.
15:57And you take yourself the peg from the cat's claw.
15:59And that plugs in place.
16:01The problem with it, though, is that with the way that the hand's designed,
16:06it gets more in the way than it does anything else.
16:09Because, like, if the hand was completely flat, that would be one thing.
16:13But because, obviously, the thigh's in the way,
16:15and the bottom of the hand is in the way,
16:17you can already see the difficulty you're going to have
16:19when attaching the cat's claw in place.
16:21I mean, you can kind of do a serviceable enough job
16:24of having the cat's claw kind of at the back like this.
16:26But you can't have it straight down,
16:28because the hand is just going to go get in the way of things.
16:31So there's Lino, short of the fact
16:32I just have to go back and fix the boot here.
16:36Now, one thing it's also going to miss as well
16:38is because it doesn't have the bandolier,
16:39there's now no place to store the Sword of Omens.
16:43So, you know, again, you're going to have to have this displayed in his hand.
16:46Ah, that's such a difficult thing.
16:48It's more difficult than it really needs to be.
16:51And then we have Lino.
16:52Fully finished.
16:53Somewhat finished.
16:54There's also what he looks like, though, with Chitar,
16:56so you guys can see.
16:56Like, it does a good job of looking like Lino from the original classic series.
17:02Front to back.
17:03Back to front.
17:04Looks good.
17:05Again, you can get yourself the Sword of Omens.
17:07Put that also into his hand as well.
17:09Now, I said earlier, though, you can, like, meet in the middle.
17:11So it doesn't have to be necessarily the case
17:13that you want to match everything to the way the Ace cartoon could look.
17:16You could keep the boots on, for example.
17:17So you have a little bit of furry trim on the top.
17:20You could keep everything on the way he looks right now
17:22and just really only put, like, the shoulder shield on there, too.
17:25So there's a few little changes that you can obviously make, though, with Lino.
17:28You can spin this also around as well,
17:30so you can summon off the rest of the Thundercats.
17:33Ho!
17:36For the figure's articulation,
17:37I guess there's one last thing we'll kind of look at
17:39before we look at the figure's articulation.
17:40Overall, like, the colors look pretty good.
17:42The darker colors down below here,
17:44you can clearly, though, see the tops of the thighs
17:46really aren't quite color-matching everything else.
17:48Also, if you look at underneath here,
17:50they didn't finish the job of painting everything.
17:53So while it looks okay here,
17:55it looks clearly like the paint department said,
17:58well, that's as much as they really need to see.
18:01Hey, buddy, I think you need to finish the bottom as well.
18:02Nah! Nah, I'm sure it's fine.
18:04I'm sure it's fine.
18:06In the end, though, again, you can twist it out,
18:07just give him a little bit more trunks,
18:09or you can bring him in as well
18:10if you want him to have it look more like he's got a Speedo.
18:13All in all, I think the only thing I really don't like as much
18:15is just the way the design of the Cat's Claw.
18:18I mean, I know it has to fit over top of where his hand has to be anyways,
18:22but attaching it, though, onto his belt,
18:24it just gets more in the way than anything else.
18:27And you're going to probably find yourself
18:28frequently attaching it back onto the belt.
18:31For the figure's articulation, let's go back to that.
18:33The head sculpt for Lion-O is going to be on a ball joint,
18:35so it moves back and forth, up, down, up and down,
18:39back and forth this way.
18:40And yes, fully, fully rotation all the way around.
18:42The color of the hair looks good, too.
18:44I thought maybe, though, initially, that it was a little bit too bright,
18:47a little more too of an orangey-red.
18:49But I think the color looks pretty good.
18:51And again, I don't hate the face.
18:52I think the face, it mainly looks a little bit better,
18:54much, much better with this hair than it did with the original.
18:57The waist is going to swivel back and forth.
18:59Now we've got everything snapped in place.
19:00The arm's going to rotate all the way around.
19:02That's on both sides, by the way.
19:03You can bring the arms out easily at a T-pose.
19:06There goes the Cat's Claw.
19:07You can swivel down below here in the forearm,
19:09where the forearm meets the elbow.
19:11There's a hinge right there.
19:12And hands rotate all the way around.
19:15Bring the legs forward.
19:16Bring the legs back.
19:17Bring the legs, hey, out.
19:19There's a swivel there at the top of the thigh.
19:20Single hinge in the knee only.
19:22You can rotate the lower leg.
19:24You can rotate technically, too,
19:25the way that the boot's been pegged in place.
19:27Now, again, obviously, I'm going to have to fix this
19:29before we jump to the turntable.
19:30When you have this, though, corrected,
19:32there's a hinge up and down for the feet.
19:33You can also rock them back and forth as well.
19:37Lion-O may have a little bit of difficult time to stand,
19:39but I think he stands really well
19:40when it comes to displaying him on the shelf
19:42with the rest of the Thundercats
19:43we've already had a look at.
19:44Does he have a bad face?
19:47I think he's got a better face
19:49when you swap out the hairpiece.
19:50Is he going to stand?
19:51Oh, he's totally not going to stand.
19:53Yeah, I think he's definitely looking better
19:55when you swap the hairpiece out.
19:57I think that's the mistake that they may have made.
19:59An oversight of Mattel's part,
20:01maybe not necessarily,
20:02because there's ways to fix at least the figure
20:04when you have him displayed.
20:05If you don't want to have him displayed,
20:07for example, like a Master Universe figure,
20:09even though he's got really the same basic build of body,
20:12this guy's totally not going to stand.
20:13He's totally not going to stand.
20:14I'm going to have to fix this quickly.
20:16Fix it quickly before we jump to the turntable floor.
20:19Again, we get this guy displayed on the shelf.
20:23Stay, Lion-O, stay.
20:25I was going to say good dog,
20:27but obviously it's a good cat.
20:28Bringing, though, Chitaro,
20:30that we've already, again, had a look at,
20:31and again, He-Man.
20:33Not bad.
20:33Not bad-looking figure.
20:34I don't think he deserves the hate
20:36that a lot of people maybe have said
20:37when it came to, like, looking at him.
20:39I think, really, a lot of the hate
20:40has come to the redesign
20:42of putting the headdress piece on him.
20:44Not only does it squish the look of the face,
20:46it doesn't give him, I think,
20:47the proper Lion-O hair either.
20:48I mean, like, look at just even the back of the hair.
20:50It's way too smooth.
20:51Lion-O needs fierce-looking hair,
20:53and I think they definitely land it
20:54with a better-looking head sculpt.
20:56Again, you don't have to necessarily
20:57have him displayed as a Master Universe figure.
20:59You can easily just pull all the parts off
21:01and have him just display as a regular Lion-O.
21:03And that's the thing I really like the most
21:05about the Master Universe
21:05and Thundercats line so far,
21:07that you're not locked in.
21:09You're not locked into the idea
21:10that these characters always have to look
21:11the way that they do
21:12when you get them out of their plastic prisons.
21:15Quickly enough, hopefully,
21:16that they don't suffocate.
21:18If you want to just have the figures
21:19look the way that they do
21:19from the 80s cartoon,
21:20you can easily do that.
21:22And I think what we get here, though,
21:23is a pretty good-looking Lion-O.
21:25I think both him and Shatar
21:26have, in fact, been good-looking figures.
21:28I don't think there has been a miss so far at all
21:31in the Master Universe-Thundercats line.
21:32And I know this is just kind of
21:33the beginning in the reviews.
21:34We've only really looked at the first three figures
21:36with many more to follow.
21:38I like the look of Lion-O.
21:39His face isn't perfect,
21:40but it's a better-looking head sculpt
21:42when you change out the hair.
21:43For a second, I thought I heard the roar.
21:44I think what I was hearing instead
21:45was somebody's TV was still on upstairs.
21:47Really loud.
21:48Hey, keep it down.
21:49I'm doing a review down here.
21:50As for feeling the magic,
21:52do I feel like Mattel's captured the magic
21:53of the original 80s classic cartoon
21:55Thundercats with Lord Lion-O?
21:57Yeah.
21:58Yeah, actually, I do.
21:59I think there hasn't been a misstep so far.
22:02Even like Battle Cat Man,
22:03with the way that this guy fumbled
22:04in his own review of it,
22:06I think all of the Thundercats so far
22:07have been really good.
22:09I think where they've done a better job
22:10than what the TMNT has done
22:12is that they have very much so
22:14given you a choice to make them
22:16as Motu as you really want
22:17or as Thundercats as you really want,
22:19not having to always meet in the middle.
22:21The problem with the Turtles, though,
22:22was that they so relied on the armor
22:24that even when you took the armor off,
22:25there really wasn't left much behind.
22:27With at least Lion-O, though,
22:29even if you don't like the way
22:30that he has with that hair piece,
22:32you can easily take it off
22:33and give him the classic hair instead.
22:35You can take off all the armor,
22:37the shoulders,
22:38you take off the boots.
22:39The boots are always,
22:40so far,
22:40I think the boots have been
22:41the hardest thing to change out in reviews.
22:43They're easy enough to do,
22:44obviously,
22:45when the camera's not pointing
22:46and turned on,
22:47but the moment you hit record,
22:48you always seem to have a hard time,
22:50at least I have a hard time,
22:51getting especially the feet
22:52pegged onto the bottoms of the boots.
22:54When you do all of that,
22:55when you suffer through all of it,
22:57what you get at the end
22:58is a pretty good-looking Lion-O.
23:00But it doesn't just end there.
23:01If you want also to take off his tank top,
23:03the tank top does have tabs
23:05underneath his armpits.
23:07You just untab those
23:08and you just take that all off.
23:10I don't really know why
23:11you'd want to take it all off.
23:12You could say,
23:12well, I want Lion-O to look the way
23:14he did in the original pilot.
23:15Well, in the original pilot,
23:16Lion-O was a little wee lad.
23:17He wasn't the full line
23:19that he is right now.
23:20I guess if you wanted to,
23:21you could do that.
23:22I think it would just cause more conflict
23:24because you'd never be able
23:25to get the tank top back in place.
23:26That's one of the reasons
23:27why I didn't show you guys in this review.
23:29It is, though, possible.
23:30It is plausible.
23:31It is something
23:32I wouldn't really do myself.
23:34Lion-O does come in clear
23:35with all the things
23:35you'd expect Lion-O to have.
23:36The only thing, again,
23:37that I don't love about the figure
23:39is the cat's claw.
23:40The execution of it,
23:41the look of it,
23:42the design of it,
23:42which I guess is all
23:43kind of really the same,
23:44and especially the way
23:45it attaches on to his belt.
23:47It attaches in the way
23:48that it should,
23:49but with the hand being
23:50an awkward thing
23:51that's part of the mold,
23:52you can't have it flush to his leg.
23:54You have to have it
23:54to the side instead.
23:56All in all, though,
23:56looking good for Lion-O.
23:58Again, the face could have been
23:59a little bit better,
24:00but it's not as bad
24:01as I thought it would have been,
24:02especially seeing it in hand.
24:04What do you guys think of Lion-O?
24:05Let me know in the comments
24:06section down below.
24:07Do you think, though,
24:07the figure isn't as bad
24:08as some people would say
24:09that he is,
24:10or do you think
24:10it's a really bad-looking face,
24:12the Lion-O?
24:13If you guys did also
24:13enjoy this video now,
24:14hey now, back it up just a bit.
24:17Make sure, of course,
24:17you hit it with a like.
24:18You guys want to stick around
24:19for more so?
24:20I hope so.
24:21We're also going to be doing reviews
24:22coming up shortly
24:23of both Tigra and Panthro.
24:25Yeah, there's going to be
24:26a whole bunch of Thundercats
24:27stuff lined up for this week,
24:28so I hope you guys
24:29are going to be coming back for that.
24:30As always,
24:30thanks for watching.
24:31See you guys next time.
