00:19toys dc multiverse world's finest batman as a child bruce wayne watched as his parents were
00:30brutally killed in gotham city's crime alley traumatized by their deaths he devoted his life
00:35to becoming the world's greatest weapon against crime the batman to become the ultimate vigilante
00:39the dark knight disciplined his mind and body to reach the pinnacle of mental and physical superiority
00:44in his relentless pursuit of justice bruce yes may have the same body but with the changes made now
00:50to this new batman is he worth picking up we're going to be hopefully answering that over the
00:54course of this review if first you need the necessary 411 of how tall this batman's going to
00:59be factoring of course in the fact he's got a brand new head sculpt let's get things going first with
01:03that as for how tall batman's going to be i seem to be clocking this guy in at around seven
01:08inches
01:09maybe just a little more than that that's going to translate to a figure that's about 18 centimeters
01:13tall i do still put this batman in high regard this is one of my all-time favorite batmans we've
01:18gotten from todd and his team this is the nightfall batman it isn't just the case though that the new
01:23batman world's finest has now a brand new head sculpt it also sports now a fabric cape and a different
01:27utility belt they have also added some shadowing that you may already be able to see in the cowl and
01:33also in his trunks that wasn't on this release however though they did re-release this figure again
01:38with that additional shadowing he was part of a convention exclusive most of the new stuff for batman
01:43are the things that are on his body don't really be looking at the lay of the land and expecting
01:47much in new things the figure does technically come in clear with a new card so i guess that's
01:51saying something the world's finest does have both batman and superman superman has unfortunately
01:57lost his his flight batman seems to have gotten it though instead the back of the card doesn't have
02:04anything new to be honest i feel like i could have almost even closed my eyes not looked at the
02:09card
02:09and been able to recite this from memory as that's a read-up we've gotten countless times over the
02:13years and lineage of the dc multiverse every time it tends to be a batman and it's not a batman
02:18necessarily that's attached to one specific story it always seems to go and be lining back to this
02:23exact same description i found myself even as i was reading this off at the beginning of the review
02:29that as again i got to parts and sentences i could say to myself oh that's what he's going to
02:34say next
02:34and literally verbatimly that is the exact same read-up as previous batman cards different front
02:41new back or i guess that would be new front different back anyways let's move that off to
02:45the side cut me some slack the figure does also come included though with a display stand it's got
02:50now the dc logo branded down below in white walking distance from that pretty close to the car if you're
02:56inside the bat cave i mean batman has to be close enough to the car so he can hop in
02:59there and
03:00go and fight the penguin or whatever it may be the peg hole is there still that can plug into
03:05either one of batman's boots he gets stuff now that any any one of these things are things i'm
03:10sure we've seen before batman has first of all a close fist on this side a gripping hand on this
03:16side
03:17if for some reason you wanted to flip that around then he essentially would have a close fist hand on
03:23this side with this hand here and then he would also have the mirror flip of this hand for this
03:28side
03:28with a gripping hand over here to change out the hands uh let's go ahead and actually we'll keep
03:33the gripping hand on this side because i only really need to demonstrate with one pop the hand
03:37quite easily off take your now gripping hand and plug it back in place and now batman has the means
03:43to hold a multitude of accessories well technically he really only has one accessory uh he also does have
03:50now you could either say that that's melon squishing hands batman doesn't seem to squish much melons
03:55lately it also seems like he has plotting hands he's thinking of himself right now i'm short on
04:01sidekicks right now who who can i find in gotham streets i could turn him into a sidekick i don't
04:08know i'm sure there's a robin just waiting to be found plotting plotting plotting but anyways he does
04:13have like mauling fighting hands these hands don't really feel like they belong to be honest with this
04:18figure and then he also comes included with a very small batarang now i i'm going to choose my words
04:24carefully then i'm not going to say oh man this batarang is way too small because if you had
04:30rewound back and looked at some of my earlier reviews i had commented that the utility belt
04:35batarangs were way too big giant mustache frisbees you still look like mustaches to be fair but they're
04:42a whole lot smaller previous batmans the nightfall batman had this i believe also too the san diego
04:48san diego comic-con batman had the very same batarang now because of course we've swapped out the
04:53hands we can really choose either hand we don't have to be so specific you can put it into this
04:59batman's hand i mean it is on the small side but it has to honestly now be able to fit
05:02inside his
05:03utility belt and even then there's not anywhere to be found it's all like little tiny little
05:08compartments for pills gas capsules and that's about it so we just kind of have to use our
05:13imagination or if he is like adam west batman you just sort of tuck it between the back of his
05:18utility belt and the cape and nobody would ever really question otherwise maybe let's question
05:23some of the things that are changed for batman you could decide for yourself if the changes were
05:27worth it the biggest one really being is the fact that batman has now got a brand new head sculpt
05:32i'm just gonna grab the other previous batman i mean if you followed along this channel how many
05:37times have i brought this guy in and said like he is one of my still favorite batmans
05:42changes i feel perhaps positive i do think that i like the head sculpt on the new figure does it
05:49replace now the original batman maybe because now he has the benefit of course the fabric capes
05:55that's always really a plus i think the head sculpt is good there's something that's off about it and
06:00i can't quite put what what really it is i like that it has shadowing i think those are all
06:05nice
06:05additional touches it really does for me look like the old kind of superpowers merchandise that would
06:11have been around back in the day or like even the original comics stuff from the 80s like i'm just
06:15going back to looking at the world's finest card here batman just had like a blue cowl with a whole
06:19lot of shadowing on the front i think this does that well i don't know if there's something about
06:25maybe his mouth that's throwing it off for me it doesn't really also help either that because he's
06:30using the original batman body this batman body was fine when the head sculpt's cowl size was
06:37literally the same size and thickness as the neck the moment you start to change the head size though
06:42it makes his neck look scrawny and i think that's maybe one of the things that's also throwing it
06:47off for me on this figure had it been the case that the neck was either wider or the face
06:53was a little
06:53thinner maybe it wouldn't look like it literally just looks like an extra new batman head on top of
06:58the body which basically really it is the head sculpt is good but i feel like maybe again like
07:03the width of the neck could have really improved upon this figure now i know that that would have
07:07involved some new additional tooling but if you also really look at this too the fabric cape has to
07:13technically go underneath this neck piece so that in mind could they not have maybe just used a wider
07:19neck appliance just so that it would look a little bit better balanced to the width of batman's head
07:24he seems also like he's a little bit more tanned than previous batmans before or maybe not
07:29the mouth seems also a little off to me and it's like batman really has like a really large chin

07:35it's like jay leno who's playing batman here he's got some additional shadowing also here underneath
07:40the neck so they've kept that somewhat consistent i don't know maybe it's not really the chin so much
07:45that's bothering me maybe again like if the neck was wider it would better balance i think all the
07:50rest of batman's face sculpt here maybe that's what it is what's also now changed too is that he's
07:55got a brand new bat symbol now what's interesting though is i thought the bat symbol was actually
08:00sculpted in place but it looks like they actually just tempographed it printed the logo over top of
08:06just a bare chest but because again like this isn't the first time i mean this really isn't the
08:10first time that this batman body has been used it's been used a couple of times with other dc
08:14characters but this one actually does have the marker where his bat mark was actually a sculpted
08:20appliance see how it actually is higher than the rest of his chest this batman good or bad some
08:27actually may like the idea that this isn't lifted from the rest of his chest this just it's not a
08:32sticker but it's been printed onto the body so it's it's basically just smooth against the skin
08:37or smooth against his suit utility belt is also something that's now different so this one now
08:43actually has a place where it looks like batman could do up his belt i'm not really sure how
08:48batman actually snaps this in place it probably is just like a bat belt buckle that snaps over top of
08:53itself whereas this one actually does now look like batman actually has to sit down and try even harder
08:59to put his bat belt on before he leaves still there's not very many pockets i mean again it's only
09:04mostly
09:05just small little capsules no large compartment spaces certainly not to accommodate big or small
09:11a batarang he does also have some additional shadowing there on the front for his belt this
09:16batman never had it although the convention exclusive did i like that it's actually only here and that
09:22it's still blue on the sides i found like if anything this batman had maybe too much of it
09:27and of course this batman did also have the black and the cowl but see how this is as just
09:31as wide as
09:32the neck this looks properly balanced this batman maybe because of that his head just looks maybe a
09:37little too big the shadowing really is only on the trunks and it's only on the neck and the cowl
09:42it's not anywhere to be found on the gloves and it's certainly not also on the boots
09:47the coloring of the costume is about really the same as the other nightfall batman so it doesn't
09:52really look like they've darkened the colors at all i think also with the convention exclusive it
09:56was a little bit darker maybe maybe this gray could have also worked a little bit better to this with
10:03this batman instead of going with the lighter gray that they went with now for this batman's
10:07articulation it's just because again like changes were made here here additional coloring fabricate
10:14everything else really retains the same when it comes to his posability so his head's going to be
10:18on a ball joint head rotates all the way around looks down and up back and forth no issues there
10:24top of the torso is going to be on a ball joint and with that goes a fairly fluent looking
10:29batman where
10:29you can do a lot with it the lower end of his abdomen also does the same arms rotate all
10:34the
10:34way around these arms as well you can hinge forward and back just a little bit though swivel in his
10:39bicep double hinge on the elbow the hands rotate all the way around i'm just going to interrupt my
10:45train of thought before i finish the rest of the figures possibility i also really think i i like the
10:50blue the blue is also one thing it's a little bit more of a richer blue i mean it's so
10:56very subtle
10:57but it seems like it's maybe just a little more of a richer blue than the previous
11:01nightfall batman i really like the color that they chose where were we oh yes the legs legs move
11:06forward and back they also move out splits like that almost for a second sounded like i broke
11:11batman's legs no batman's only gets his back break broken not not his legs moves forward and back and
11:17out so swivel there at the top of the thigh double hinge again on the knees there's no articulation here
11:22for the boot it's just once again a continued sculpt from the rest of the calf ankle moves up and
11:26down
11:27ankle rocks back and forth toe articulation as well and let's not of course overlook the fact
11:31the figure does have now a really cool looking cape it's pretty wide as well and it's sewn
11:38seamed in there the additional wiring so of course you can also manipulate the cape as well
11:43it's definitely a good looking cape on batman it enhances already what was already a good batman in
11:48the first place the question really then becomes is there enough changes made to this batman let's say
11:54you've already been dedicate dedicately dedicately i'm just making a mess of that if you have been
12:00very faithfully collecting that makes better sense if you've been faithfully collecting this batman mold
12:06is there enough changes made to now this one that you could still keep these ones i'm not necessarily
12:12saying you have to discard and throw these away but if there is changes now made to this batman does
12:16it
12:16warrant picking them up if yeah you already have these two and you already love these two i would say
12:22yes i like that the bat symbol is larger so that's already a good thing i love that he's got
12:27now a
12:27fabric cape i like the the face the head but it does seem like there's something really off on it
12:34i
12:34don't know again if it's just that he has too much chin maybe there's just too much chin on batman's
12:38face but i think again i i said this already maybe the neck needed to be wider just to now
12:44allow for the
12:44fact that they're sculpting not just a different face sculpt but also one that's notably bigger than
12:50the previous two before this is one of those few times where i actually was able to find this figure
12:54out in the wild i had gone to a mall that i don't generally go to and i happened just
12:59to go to the
12:59walmart there just to see what they had sitting on the shelves currently as i sort of looked at you
13:04know again the lay of the land and what they currently had in stock i just happened to look
13:08up for a second and spotted something that said world's finest well it seemed like maybe it was
13:14probably a collector that didn't have the money at the time sort of just stashed away this batman
13:18because it was the only one that was there at the time and i know this is a slightly more
13:21older
13:22figure but seeing it in the wild is something that happens very few and far between here for me
13:27generally a lot of times i'm either having to buy these things from ebay or sites that are
13:32stalking dc multiverse so already it was a batman that i wanted at some point and i was maybe willing
13:37to wait it out until eventually i found one for a decent price but then on top of that to
13:42find this
13:43and pay retail for it well i could tell you right away it didn't wait that long on the shelf
13:47uh i threw it right away into the cart and i checked it out right away checking this guy out
13:52right away shortly after picking up this figure yeah there are there are changes there there are
13:58enough drastic changes made between this batman and the previous ones that i think are still worth
14:02picking this guy up for the longest time i know and collectors probably can agree with this as well
14:07when you have a collection of characters on your shelf you may be looking right away at figures and
14:13think okay that's a permanent placed figure that one likely won't be replaced but then there's
14:18always sort of ones that you know are only just filling in a spot on that shelf until quote the
14:23better one comes around i have said this frequently i know on this channel with different batmans this
14:29is kind of now the best batman that i have on my shelf and as quickly as i say that
14:34it gets
14:34replaced out with another batman it always seemed to be though that i always went back to the nightfall
14:39batman as the go-to and there's probably again a reason why i always brought that figure in for
14:43comparisons because it was always one of my favorite batmans it did a lot of things right it checked a
14:49lot of the boxes for why i wanted to be the best batman this maybe does change some of the
14:54elements but
14:55it changes at least for the positive there is again the problem with the head being way too big
15:00i think a lot of it again can be contributed to just having a slightly more thinner neck that that
15:04throws the proportions off it definitely has more kind of like the 80s batman vibe going for it
15:10it certainly does also help too that it's got the additional shadowing on the cowl the neck and also
15:15on the trunks it has the benefit of also the larger emblem on his chest a new and improved utility
15:20belt
15:21and now a fabric cape that's a lot of boxes being checked to this being probably the best batman that
15:26i'm going to have right now is that going to change it probably still will as a new batman gets
15:32released before we get the end of the lineage of the dc multiverse but for this one being really
15:38reusing a lot of the same body as not just other batmans because that this body you could look at
15:43you know probably a lot of your figures that you have from dc multiverse and say okay yeah that uses
15:47the nightfall batman body yeah that one uses wildcat is another good example that uses his bat body
15:52but again like this one really is a good looking batman and i'm glad to finally not just finally find
15:59him but finally finding him for a retail price too what do you guys think of this uh world's

16:11nightfall batman like it has been for me do you think that there's enough changes at least made to
16:15this one i mean right away people would look at this and say like fabric cape yes yes yes even
16:19if the
16:20cowl isn't as good the fabric cape sells this for me i guess technically too because this is also using
16:26the same bat body i tried to do it it didn't really come off for me i guess you could
16:31also
16:31really heat the head and pop this one off and replace it with the nightfall batman if you like
