Kaushambi district has witnessed a disturbing incident that has sparked outrage across Uttar Pradesh. A video going viral on social media shows a helpless family transporting the body of a deceased relative on a motorcycle for nearly 30 km after failing to get an ambulance from the government hospital.
The family claimed they repeatedly sought an ambulance but received no assistance, leaving them with no option but to tie the body to a bike and take it home.
Taking note of the viral video, the District Magistrate of Kaushambi has ordered a probe. A joint team from the district administration, health department, and police has been assigned to investigate the lapse.
