00:00This remains one of the toughest processes around.
00:03Lord Sugar is on the hunt for the next big thing.
00:07This is an opportunity of a lifetime.
00:10Battling to become his business partner.
00:1318 ambitious entrepreneurs.
00:16Let's go!
00:16Ah! I've pulled my shin!
00:18Action.
00:19It's a deal worth fighting for.
00:21Yes, come on!
00:22Please let me finish talking.
00:23Guys, this is absolutely mental.
00:25We're going to get nothing done if we speak to each other like this.
00:2718 candidates.
00:28Ha!
00:28We just don't want it looking like poop.
00:3112 tough tasks.
00:33That's the biggest load of garbage I've ever seen.
00:35Oh, no. Are you joking?
00:36No, I'm not joking.
00:38One life-changing opportunity.
00:40You're fired. You're fired.
00:42This is bloody shambles.
00:44You're fired.
00:53Previously.
00:53I want you to create your own hot sauce.
00:57And shoot a TV advert.
01:00I love a bit of hot sauce.
01:02And the Rose's team turned up the heat.
01:05Oh, man.
01:06Oh, well.
01:07It packs a punch.
01:08But in the pitch...
01:09We are hot sauce enthusiasts.
01:12They were given the cold shoulder.
01:14The sauce.
01:15Yeah.
01:15Mia was in the hot seat.
01:18The constant thing is the bottle on the table.
01:20Yeah.
01:21Oh, I like that.
01:22But missed deadlines.
01:23We weren't able to send you a sample.
01:25Left a bitter taste.
01:27I didn't see your actual hot sauce in the ad.
01:31In the boardroom.
01:32I'm absolutely fuming.
01:35Things got fiery.
01:36Both teams have lost this task.
01:38As Emma...
01:40I have not seen much from you.
01:42And Malika...
01:43You've been disruptive.
01:45Got burned.
01:46You're fired.
01:46Now, eight candidates remain to fight for the chance
01:52to become Lord Sugar's business partner.
02:028pm.
02:03Now I think it's the business end of the process
02:05where things start to get serious.
02:08Yeah.
02:09Relaxing at home.
02:11I think there's heat on anyone at any stage now.
02:13Like, the smallest thing, you put yourself in a position of risk.
02:15The Candidates.
02:17Oh, what's that?
02:18The phone?
02:19The phone's ringing, guys.
02:22Hello?
02:22Good evening.
02:23Could all candidates please make their way to the cinema room
02:26to see Lord Sugar?
02:28All right, guys.
02:29Oh, it's so nervous.
02:30Can all candidates come to the cinema room?
02:32Right.
02:33What?
02:33What?
02:34There's no way.
02:35Let's go, let's go.
02:36That's crazy.
02:36Oh, guys.
02:37Oh, okay.
02:37Here we go.
02:38Let's get...
02:39Good evening, everyone.
02:43Oh, oh.
02:44Now, like a lot of people,
02:45I enjoy a night in watching the TV,
02:48especially if there's something decent on.
02:50And this week,
02:51that's going to be down to you lot.
02:53TV shopping channels are a lucrative market,
02:57with UK viewers making about a billion pounds worth of purchases
03:01from their sofas every year.
03:03So I've arranged for you to sell live
03:06on one of the country's leading shopping channels.
03:10Oh, oh.
03:10You'll have to select a range of products to sell
03:13before producing and presenting your own TV show.
03:18It's simple.
03:19The team that generates the most money from sales will win,
03:22and on the losing team,
03:23at least one of you will be fired.
03:26Now, I'll be tuning in to watch you.
03:28So good luck,
03:29and I'll see you in the boardroom in a couple of days' time.
03:33Oh, TV selling, guys.
03:35So, yeah.
03:36This is, like, the best apprentice task.
03:39Yeah.
03:39Yeah.
03:39Good morning, guys.
03:47TV selling.
03:48What's everyone's thoughts?
03:49I actually can't wait.
03:51Nine hours till teams go live.
03:53Look, it's an iconic task as an outing.
03:56This is what everyone looks forward to.
03:57Top of the running order.
03:59First thing we need to do is choose a project manager.
04:01Does anybody want to put themselves forward?
04:03Decide who calls the shots.
04:06I'm happy to put myself forward.
04:07Buying and selling, I'm really good at it.
04:09I've got a keen eye after the products.
04:11I've got a lot of experience kind of being in front of the camera.
04:14I buy and sell a lot of goods for a living as well.
04:17I have actually got some experience in live streaming.
04:21Wow, OK.
04:22Wow.
04:22It has kind of put me in the room of production, et cetera.
04:26OK.
04:26Wow.
04:27So, Gisola, why don't you have the final vote?
04:29Yeah, I think with the experience of live selling, Max, I'm going to...
04:32Oh, not live selling, live TV.
04:34Live TV.
04:35Yeah, just to be totally clear, it's live sport.
04:39So, for me, my vote is going with Max, just because you've got the experience of live streaming
04:44and that side of things, which none of us have any experience of.
04:48Exciting.
04:50I'm a bit confused as to why Max got chosen over me.
04:54I mean, I've got a lot of experience in buying and selling.
04:56I've done it all my life.
04:57And Max has only been in front of the camera talking about sport.
05:01Brilliant.
05:01I'm happy with that.
05:02Everyone's happy?
05:02Yeah, yeah.
05:03I'm really happy with that.
05:03That's what it is, that's what it is.
05:04Yeah, let's move on.
05:05Max, your PM.
05:06Fantastic.
05:06I feel like the home and kitchen and bedroom and living could be a really great selling
05:13point.
05:13I feel like it appeals to all ages and different genders.
05:17Working on ways to woo viewers.
05:19So, we're going to have four products that we're going to actually be selling here.
05:23So, do you want two high ticket, two low ticket?
05:26Project manager, Liam.
05:27We don't want to just say high ticket and if it's something that you don't think is going
05:32to appeal to the customers that are going to be watching the channel, then obviously
05:35don't go ahead with that.
05:36The best thing to sell is when people are imagining what their life with a product would
05:39be like and you want to make sure it's an item that everyone can see in their home.
05:44You can have a multitude of different pyjama wares or lounge wear sets.
05:48It's something you can buy a lot of.
05:51Not everyone could see a £500 blender, but everyone could see a dual layer hoodie.
05:57As this is Liam's first time being project manager, there are always things that you
06:03can learn.
06:04Myself and Anissa especially.
06:05Between us, we've been project manager and sub team lead nine times.
06:09So, he has our full support.
06:11Yeah, so...
06:12Obviously, I work in sales.
06:13I'm just excited the fact that this is going to be super high pressure, super quick paced.
06:18Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it.
06:22I am confident that beauty and self-care and outdoor activities will give us products that
06:25we can sell.
06:26Plan in place.
06:28In the gallery team, we'll have myself and Dean.
06:30And on the TV selling team, we'll have Amber Rose and Chisola.
06:34Yeah.
06:35From project manager Max, a pep talk.
06:39Right, so you girls are going to negotiate on the star product.
06:43So, I guess my key things, when you're pitching it, I really want you to be enthusiastic.
06:47You know, show that we are going to, we're going to sell it, we're going to do our best effort
06:51to sell it, we're enthusiastic.
06:53Yeah, obviously.
06:54We need, we need a high price for an item, but if we don't have the experience to sell
06:58this specialist item, I think we need to avoid that.
07:01Yeah.
07:01We are coming across as the experts of this product.
07:04If we don't have enough to talk about, we're going to look a little bit silly.
07:08In my opinion, I feel like Max didn't have his full confidence in me.
07:12A lot of my business is selling, and being really passionate and charismatic, I feel
07:16like we're going to smash it.
07:18I know you boys are going to pick the items for us.
07:20Yeah.
07:20Just to think about us, how those items could relate to us.
07:23Yeah.
07:24And, you know, not just picking random items.
07:26Yeah, I feel like I'll be really good at that.
07:27Okay.
07:28Yeah, I'm confident we can land in a good position.
07:33When it comes to the TV selling, only two people can do it.
07:36Also, working out who does what.
07:38I'm definitely going to be one of them.
07:40I do sell my products online and in front of the camera.
07:43Workwear boss, Liam.
07:46Does anyone else really want to put themselves forward for it?
07:48Yeah, I mean, I'm really, really confident that I can do that.
07:51I feel like I'm a very relatable guy.
07:53And if you're in front of the camera, I'd be very confident in my ability to do that.
07:56I'd love to do it as well.
07:57Obviously, my background is in sales.
08:00I think it would make sense to have a female presenter on there as well.
08:04I'd love to do it.
08:05I've also sold in the past and within this process.
08:08And I'm very confident and very eager to get onto that presenting team.
08:12I feel like just due to the fact that Mia does work in sales, and I feel like it would
08:19be good to have a male and a female on there, I'm going to go with myself and Mia to do the
08:25selling.
08:28Liam has put himself on the presenting team for one reason and one reason only, and it's
08:31because he's project manager.
08:32That's it.
08:33You know, he's not thinking about the greater good of the team.
08:35He's thinking about himself.
08:36So I think it was quite a selfish decision to make.
08:39I do feel like it's a mistake not having me on that presenting team.
08:42So I'm definitely going to stick with what I've decided.
08:44So should we go and do it?
08:46Yeah.
08:46Let's do it.
08:46Let's do it.
08:509am.
08:53Teams divide.
08:56Who do you think is going to sell the most?
08:57I feel like I have to.
08:59I know this is your first time as PM, but I'm going to have to show you the ropes, show
09:04you how to do the selling.
09:08Feltham, West London.
09:10Headquarters of shopping channel TJC.
09:13Selling jewellery and lifestyle products 24 hours a day.
09:17So this is the water fountain for your garden decoration.
09:21Here to pick out a star product.
09:23And it's rechargeable, so it comes with the solar panel.
09:26Liam and Mia get down to business.
09:29My only concern for this particular product is you would need some sort of outdoor space.
09:34So it might not be the most accessible for people who don't have a garden or patio or balcony.
09:40But this is the handy lights, which helps your hands to stay young.
09:44I do think we need to be cautious.
09:46I feel the gloves are potentially limiting ourselves in terms of who we can sell it to.
09:52Presented with the same products.
09:54I've never seen anything like this.
09:56This is incredible.
09:58I feel like that's very calming and relaxing.
10:00It is very calming.
10:01It's really, really nice.
10:02Amber Rose and Chisola.
10:04Wow.
10:05Turn on the charm.
10:07So this one works on the LED light therapy and improves the wrinkles.
10:11Wow.
10:11I've personally never come across this before.
10:15I think it's very innovative.
10:17Yeah.
10:18Obviously, Faz, you know all about good products because these are all great products.
10:21All great products.
10:22Do you use it yourself?
10:24No, I don't.
10:25Why not?
10:27It's quite fun.
10:2811 a.m.
10:32Whoa.
10:35It's giving me a massage on my back.
10:37It feels all right.
10:38Sampling stock to sell on screen.
10:40I wouldn't want to whip that out in a gym and be, like, proud of it.
10:43I would not buy this.
10:44Max and Dean.
10:46It's actually pretty nice, Dean.
10:48Go on, you have a pop with that.
10:49Oh, yeah.
10:50Nice and steamy.
10:52Oh, yeah.
10:53Yeah, it's good.
10:54I mean, I personally would buy one of these for 20 quid.
10:57Me too.
10:58Me too.
10:59Dean, this is up my alley.
11:00This is a lot of fun.
11:01Oh.
11:02Picture us in the Thames, right?
11:04It's a nice sunny day.
11:05Got a couple of drinks in here, a bit of food.
11:07I'll be chilling back here.
11:08Should have a little roadie, you know.
11:10Oh, mate, we'll be in the boat race this time next year.
11:1370 quid, mate.
11:14I think it's a bargain.
11:15Yeah.
11:15In agreement, we'll go for this?
11:16Yep.
11:17Brilliant.
11:18The biggest problem I'm seeing is this team keep picking things that they
11:22like, not what the customer wants.
11:25A key aspect of selling, you don't sell to yourself, you sell what customers need.
11:30Picnic blanket.
11:31I actually quite like it.
11:32It's lower price point, $13.99.
11:34My concern is that it's a cheap item and we've got to sell a lot of them to make some revenue.
11:38I think the brolly is the equivalent of eight picnic blankets.
11:41I totally hear you.
11:43I do appreciate we need to sell a lot of units, but I think it could be a goer.
11:46We've got the facial spa, we've got the picnic blanket, and we've got the kayak.
11:50I'm excited.
11:54On the other team...
11:56So this is a smart coffee machine with built-in Alexa.
11:58When you're rushing for work in the morning, the last thing you want is to have to go downstairs
12:02and make the coffee.
12:03Put in charge of product selection.
12:05You put your mug in it the night before.
12:07Alexa, make me a coffee, please.
12:09You come downstairs, coffee's there, ready to go.
12:11From that sales pitch, you are really good at selling this.
12:15I should be on the sales team, I'm telling you.
12:17Suddenly, I want to buy it as well.
12:19This is a robe with eye mask and scrunchie.
12:22It's 100% polyester.
12:24Yeah, I think, you know, you're in front of the camera.
12:27Ladies and gentlemen, do you want to look as good as me?
12:30Of course you do.
12:31See this here, the finest quality in all of the land.
12:34This can be ordered today.
12:35Pick up your phones.
12:36It'll be with you by next week, and you too can look like me.
12:39It does, you do look good in it.
12:41Thank you very much.
12:42I do like this item, I think we should go for this one.
12:45Jordan is using the opportunity to demonstrate how good he would have been as a presenter,
12:50because all he's doing is saying what he would say if he was on TV.
12:53He's now here to select products that the other presenters are going to sell.
12:57I wish he'd focus a bit more on that than proving a point.
13:00Look at that.
13:01It can be used on floors, countertops, tables.
13:04This can get into those little tight spaces that we always struggle to hoover.
13:08I think this is an easy sell.
13:13Back in Feltham.
13:14This is a great combination of grill and air fryer.
13:18So you can actually do anything in this?
13:22While Amber Rose and Chisola turn up the heat.
13:24Do you have one of these in your kitchen first?
13:27Not yet.
13:29Mia sells herself.
13:31I work in the catering industry.
13:34So for me, this is five or six products in one.
13:38Rather than having, you know, a grill, a broiler, a dehydrator or anything like that,
13:45that would save me so much time.
13:47We want to convey the message that we're not only saving you time, the convenience,
13:51having to clean a large conventional oven.
13:54But this, you know, you can chuck it in the dishwasher.
13:56I think we could do a really good job in selling it for you.
13:59Great.
14:00I'm glad you liked it.
14:01Thank you very much.
14:02Nice to meet you.
14:03Nice to meet you.
14:04See you soon.
14:04Max did say this morning, choose something that you girls feel confident and comfortable
14:11with selling.
14:12And I definitely think the air fryer hits that brief.
14:14Absolutely.
14:15Yeah, I'm really happy to go for the air fryer.
14:17I really want the air fryer.
14:19I mean, it's definitely the best of three.
14:21I think people could definitely see themselves using it.
14:26With both teams circling the same star product.
14:30Hello, Fez.
14:30It's Liam and Mia.
14:32Hi, Liam and Mia.
14:32The channel will choose.
14:35We would love to be able to sell the air fryer today.
14:40We would love to have the air fryer if that was possible.
14:44Yeah, go ahead.
14:46You convinced me because of the catering background of Mia and your passion about the product.
14:51Thank you so much.
14:52We'll do you proud.
14:53We're not going to let you down.
14:56I think Mia can do a better job with the air fryer.
14:59OK, um, yes, OK, we're quite disappointed, but that's OK.
15:06I think we would love to be able to sell the handi light, if that's OK with you.
15:11OK, yes, you can go for the handi light.
15:15Well done, Mia.
15:16The air fryer, obviously, the catering background pulled through.
15:19Can't wait to get selling.
15:20I'm really glad we've got the air fryer.
15:22Ultimately, it does align with my experience and my skill set.
15:25We'll be able to sell it really well.
15:282 p.m.
15:29In just a few hours, both teams must sell their goods on screen.
15:38So it comes with awls.
15:39Yeah.
15:39It comes with a pump for pumping it up.
15:41£179.99 is the maximum price.
15:44Showing off their selections, Max and Dean.
15:48We're both really excited about the kayak, right?
15:51OK.
15:51So it's, you know, a lot of my friends have them.
15:52And yeah, it's just a lot, a lot of fun.
15:54My only kind of concern is it's slightly niche.
15:57I don't think so.
15:58I don't think so.
15:59I personally wouldn't buy this.
16:01It's not really, like, something I'm into personally.
16:04Obviously, when we were discussing in the morning meeting,
16:05we were talking about getting items that myself and Chisola, you know,
16:10could sell because we're the people selling it.
16:12So you kind of wanted to make it feel authentic.
16:14I'm really confident that we will get some sales from this.
16:16If you live near the river, if you're going to the sea, you know, multiple use.
16:21Yeah, really, really, I think we can really spin this in a positive way.
16:26I was utterly confused.
16:28You know, we had made a very clear point to get items that myself and Chisola would use.
16:32Quite frankly, I'd never use that kayak, but I am selling it.
16:36So we'll see how it goes.
16:39So our second item is the picnic blanket.
16:43I don't think there's a wow about it.
16:46It folds up, but other than that.
16:48We also had the option of a Paracel.
16:50Okay.
16:51And it was a very high price point.
16:53So for me, that was a complete no-go.
16:55Yeah, I guess that's the thing.
16:56There's only so much you can say about a picnic blanket.
17:01Okay.
17:01How are you doing, guys?
17:03We've been busy.
17:04Across the hall.
17:05We have a smart coffee machine that is integrated with Alexa.
17:10Presenting their products.
17:12A vacuum cleaner that has a few different attachments.
17:16Anissa and Jordan.
17:18All right, next we've got the leopard robe set.
17:23Yes, there's a robe.
17:23So you've got the robe.
17:24Scrunchie and eye mask.
17:26Eye mask.
17:26My mum loves a little bit of leopard print.
17:29I think you've done a good job, guys.
17:30I think ultimately the most powerful thing is all of this so I can see this in a morning routine.
17:35Get out of bed in your leopard print.
17:36Give a quick hoover.
17:37Yeah, whilst you're doing the hoover, you could say, make me a coffee so it's there fresh for as soon as you're finished.
17:43There you go.
17:43Jordan and Anissa have run through the products but haven't given them the key points of information.
17:52They've just said, oh, here's a nice robe.
17:53Here's a nice hoover.
17:55That's just not going to help them.
17:57We picked our star product as well.
17:59Do you guys want to see it?
18:00Yeah, let's see it.
18:01Excited.
18:01So we picked an air fryer with a grill.
18:05Yeah.
18:05That's very good.
18:06I think it's a great item.
18:07Yeah, I think honestly what I'm seeing in front of me is synergy.
18:12Here we are.
18:13It is a handy light mitt.
18:16For Max's team.
18:18Is it for your hands?
18:19It's for your hands.
18:19It's for your hands.
18:20So you put it on your hands and it helps to boost collagen.
18:23The big reveal of their star buy.
18:26And in terms of pricing, the maximum is 599.99.
18:31Wow.
18:31500 quid.
18:33Can you talk us through the other options that were available?
18:36Yes, there was a air fryer and that started at 149.99.
18:40So full disclosure, our first choice was the air fryer.
18:44Okay.
18:45The other team's first choice was also the air fryer.
18:48Now, I feel that we showed a lot of enthusiasm for all of the products, but he felt our skill
18:53set would be best placed selling the handy mitt gloves.
18:56So we didn't lose the air fryer to the other team?
18:59So we, we did.
19:03Well, we did.
19:04Yeah, we did lose the air fryer to the other team.
19:06But at the end of the day, there's so many air fryers on the market.
19:08It's really, really saturated.
19:09This isn't something you'll see every day.
19:11And this is a star product.
19:12Five minutes to go.
19:18Are you ready for this, mate?
19:19I can't wait.
19:20Handed to the teams.
19:21This has potential to be stressful.
19:23We need to keep it so calm.
19:24Yeah, 100%.
19:25Two of the channel's most valuable slots.
19:27Anything on this monitor is what's going on, right?
19:30Settling in for the show.
19:32Right, come on.
19:33Lord Sugar and grandson Joe.
19:35Amber Rose, can you hear me?
19:36Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can hear you.
19:38Going live.
19:39Coming to you in ten.
19:40Amber Rose.
19:41Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four.
19:47Amber, we're good to go.
19:52Hello.
19:53I am so incredibly excited to be speaking to you about the revitalising facial spa.
20:02I reckon your mum and sister have got all this stuff.
20:05Yeah.
20:05Don't you worry about that.
20:07Yeah, their bathrooms look like chemistry labs.
20:09So you pop the water inside.
20:11It's really, really simple to use, which is also something that's really great about it.
20:15We've still not got any coolers at this point.
20:17No, none.
20:18So we need to do something.
20:19Can you use it a bit more, Amber, and get your face on it, please?
20:22All you've got to do is just raise it up here, and then you've got your facial spa.
20:27You're supposed to put it up to your face, surely.
20:30It's a face steamer.
20:31And it's steaming on your face.
20:33It's brilliant.
20:34Put it into her face.
20:34Put it on your face, Amber Rose.
20:36You could use it, you know, for yourself.
20:38You could share it.
20:40Can she hear us?
20:41Yeah, 100%.
20:41Get it on your face, Amber Rose.
20:43Come on.
20:43You know, you're putting on a lot of makeup.
20:45You're getting oily skin.
20:46I'd really like you to put it to your face and just sniff it in, please.
20:49You know, it's so relaxing.
20:51I could sit here for hours and show you just on my face.
20:54You're going to put it on your face or what?
20:56Are you worried about your makeup?
20:57It's a revitalizing spa.
20:59Two in one.
21:00You need to put it on your face.
21:01Please put it on your face, Amber.
21:03Look at that steam coming out.
21:04It's so effective.
21:06No, she's ignoring us.
21:07We're going to wrap this up.
21:08Pick up your phones.
21:10Such a great bargain.
21:12All right, you're clear.
21:13We're going on to the next item now.
21:14We're going to move on to the next item now, Amber Rose.
21:16So we're going for the kayak now.
21:18Can you both hear me, yeah?
21:19Yeah.
21:20Brilliant.
21:20Wicked, man.
21:21Three, two, one.
21:23Mike's alive.
21:24In vision.
21:25Wow.
21:25Oh, my goodness, guys.
21:27Wow.
21:27Hello again.
21:28I feel like we know each other now.
21:30We're friends.
21:31Oh, look.
21:32The pair of them together, the dynamic duo.
21:35So we've got our life jackets on now.
21:37We have the safety fur.
21:38How glamorous do we look?
21:39Jump in there, girls.
21:41Get your legs in.
21:43Don't pop it.
21:44Right.
21:46It comes with the paddles.
21:48Tell them it comes with the oars.
21:49You also get the oars.
21:51And that's brilliant, because you don't need to buy them separately.
21:54Row.
21:54Row the boat.
21:55And you simply...
21:56Look.
21:57There we go.
21:57Imagine yourself down the river on a summer's day.
22:00We'll get very far like that, I can tell you.
22:03Right, should we come down to a final price?
22:05Not just yet.
22:06I want to wait.
22:07I don't want to drop it.
22:08Just yet.
22:08We've got no callers on the line.
22:10Just hold it.
22:11Just hold it.
22:12We're good.
22:12This is a great adventurous date.
22:14You know, we know relationships sometimes can get a bit boring.
22:17But this is a great way to spice it up.
22:20You don't want to drop this to final price yet?
22:22No.
22:22I think let's do a middle ground $109.99.
22:25Do you feel like we should just bang this at the final price?
22:27No.
22:27Let's do $109.
22:28And guess what?
22:30We've just had a price drop.
22:31No.
22:32It's gone down to $109.99.
22:34We're treating you guys.
22:36You've got no callers on the line.
22:37We need to lock in a final price.
22:38Come on, boys.
22:39Make your decision up, man.
22:40Let's go $89.99.
22:42Final price.
22:42Agreed.
22:43Let's do that.
22:43I think this is the final price drop on this item.
22:47$89.99.
22:49Right.
22:50Tell them we've got three minutes left.
22:53Honestly, they're doing really well.
22:54We need to just listen to what they're saying.
22:56And then we need to talk about it.
22:57We've got no callers.
22:58They need to tell people they've got three minutes left to replace their order.
23:01No, no, no.
23:01Get one for your mum and dad.
23:03You can have a race down the local river.
23:06I think it's a very, very adventurous item to have chosen.
23:09It's too niche.
23:10Yeah, it is.
23:11Pick up the phone.
23:12Final opportunity.
23:13Thank you so much.
23:14Oh, incredible.
23:16What a steal.
23:17What a steal.
23:17What an absolute bargain.
23:19All right, you're clear.
23:20On adverts, guys.
23:21Oh, my gosh.
23:23I don't know what Max and Dean were doing in there.
23:25Rather than focusing on giving information to the ladies about what to sell,
23:29they nearly got into fisticuffs arguing about what price to drop.
23:32Completely missed the boat.
23:33Well done, girls.
23:34We're moving on to the next item.
23:36Next, we've got the picnic blanket.
23:37Still on the ads.
23:39Chisola, what do you have today?
23:40Hello, how are you?
23:42Wait, wait, wait.
23:42It's not, it's not started.
23:43She's not started.
23:44It's not started yet.
23:44This.
23:45Chisola, you've not started just yet.
23:47Still on the ads.
23:47Still on the ads.
23:48Three, two, one.
23:52And you're on, Chisola.
23:53You're live.
23:59Hello, how are you?
24:00It's me again, Chisola.
24:02It's great to see you.
24:04I want to take you and draw your attention to our next item.
24:08We have a picnic blanket.
24:10Oh, my God, you are kidding.
24:13This is where they've chosen a bloody picnic blanket.
24:18Honestly, the picnic blanket is so versatile.
24:21You can use it for so many different things.
24:24I just am so excited to be sat on the picnic blanket.
24:28A classic example, she's a great salesperson, but the product, I mean, I wouldn't like to be tasked to sell one of those.
24:36You might want to buy a few.
24:38I'm always losing my picnic blanket, so it's always great to have a few in the pocket.
24:44Machine washable.
24:46You can put this in the machine, you can wash it.
24:48You can take it anywhere with you.
24:50It's portable.
24:51We can take it absolutely anywhere.
24:54Who doesn't need a picnic blanket?
24:56She's going and going and going at it and going at it, but she's like flogging a dead horse.
25:02Let me show you the size again.
25:05It's huge.
25:06Right, Max, I think, yeah, we need to make a judgment call here whether to cut this early.
25:10Yeah, I totally agree.
25:11Focus more on the star buyer.
25:12I totally agree.
25:13Chisola, say you've got 30 seconds left and that's it.
25:16We've only got 30 seconds left.
25:18I definitely don't want you to miss out.
25:20Flogging a dead horse.
25:22No callers.
25:23Let's move on.
25:25And that is our picnic blanket.
25:27Oh, what an amazing, what an amazing buy.
25:30That's it.
25:31Very, very good.
25:32Right, now, next item, this is our star product.
25:34It's got a high price point.
25:36Let's list it at the maximum price, 599.99, and I think we cull it quite aggressively.
25:41I completely agree with that.
25:42Bringing both your mics live.
25:44Right, both mics live.
25:45Right, you're live.
25:45So, here we have the handy light mitts coming in at 599.
25:52What?
25:54What?
25:56599 pound for that.
25:58What is it?
25:59This could be on my hands for 30 minutes and suddenly I've got no wrinkles on my hands.
26:04Oh, careful with the claims, please.
26:07Girls, be careful about making claims that are false.
26:09You need to apologise for saying that it will remove wrinkles in 30 minutes.
26:15It does a good job in 30 minutes.
26:17It doesn't remove in 30 minutes.
26:19It doesn't remove wrinkles, but what it does do is do an absolutely fantastic job.
26:24What is it doing?
26:25Some sort of therapy, but they haven't told you what the benefits are.
26:28It's better than any skin cream that you'll ever use.
26:31It's better than any serum that you'll ever use.
26:35Be careful with health claims.
26:36You can't say it's better than any skin cream.
26:39We do apologise for saying it's better than all of the skin creams that are out there,
26:43but what we can say is that it's incredible.
26:45Absolutely.
26:46What is it?
26:47No, you want to know what it does.
26:49What the technology is.
26:50Yeah, I don't know.
26:52I'm lost.
26:53Right, this is our special product, yeah?
26:54I want to hit some of these audios.
26:56No, we don't know what it does.
26:57It's going to do some sparkles.
27:00No, I don't want to do that.
27:01Don't need to do that yet.
27:02It's a star item.
27:03Why don't you get both loves and both on?
27:05Double action.
27:06Here we go.
27:07Double action.
27:08Look at this.
27:09Come on, let's hit some audios.
27:10Let's hit some buttons.
27:11No, no, mate, we can't.
27:12We just...
27:13Some heartbeats, some applause.
27:15Don't even want to press buttons.
27:16And do you know what, guys?
27:17You've also got a mixed light.
27:19There we go.
27:20You've got the mixed light.
27:20You've got the mixed light.
27:22I don't know what any of the lights are.
27:23I don't know what any of it means.
27:25They're my mixed light.
27:27It's rubbish.
27:29This is your last chance to buy.
27:31That's it.
27:32Two sold.
27:33Having some applause now.
27:34No, keep boiling down, boiling down.
27:36You need to pick the higher part.
27:37Yeah, yeah, yeah, but it's not helping them.
27:38Last 10 seconds.
27:40You want to have one of these in your life.
27:42Honestly.
27:42Matt Charson gets these too.
27:44I am going to find out who chose these products in this team.
27:52It's absolute shocking.
27:55Girl, he smashed it, man.
27:58Absolutely, absolutely smashed it.
28:00Well done.
28:01If we haven't done enough to win, I think the person that needs to be fired is Max.
28:05Like, who wants a kayak?
28:07Who wants a picnic blanket?
28:08Those are two items that were honestly pretty much unsellable.
28:12Shall we get out of there?
28:13Let's do it.
28:13Let's do it.
28:186 p.m.
28:19We need to get everyone in position and start going now.
28:21Preparing to go on air.
28:23God, here we go.
28:24Good luck, Mia.
28:24I'm going to smash it.
28:25Liam's team.
28:27Five, four.
28:28I'll do the fade out.
28:30Look at the camera in vision.
28:34Your mic is live.
28:35We're live, Mia.

30:16The next item, coffee machine.
30:18Ready to go.
30:19Three, two, one, starting.
30:25We're live, guys.
30:26We're live.

30:33Let them know your name.
30:34Obviously, here we have a beautiful...
30:37My name is Liam.
30:38I'm joining myself.
30:40I'm joining Mia today.
30:41We have a beautiful coffee machine here.
30:44Liam looks like he's dancing around on nerves, isn't he?
30:47He's just bouncing around.
30:48If you're like me, and you get into a little bit of a routine, you want to just shout downstairs
30:53and let them know...
30:54We have no callers.
30:55Guys, are you able to ask Alexa to make you a coffee?
30:57I haven't seen it make a coffee by itself.
31:00Coming through, remember the number.
31:01Alexa, please make me a coffee.
31:03Oh, wow, look at that.
31:04We're using the technology for you.
31:06Remember, get on the phone now.
31:07It is all 444.
31:09I know Mia prefers a little bit of a latte, but...
31:12Alexa, make me a coffee.
31:13Try it again.
31:14But I'm an espresso man myself.
31:15Alexa, make me a coffee.
31:16Bring it with you.
31:18It's got a lovely handle that you can take.
31:20What's the bleeding?
31:21Who cares about the bloody handle?
31:23Is it someone's birthday coming up?
31:25Is it a loved one's...
31:27Oh, wow, hang on.
31:29Whoops.
31:29That's just water.
31:30That's water coming out.
31:31There's no coffee there, mate.
31:34So your current caller who's coming in, they've cancelled now.
31:37They've cancelled?
31:38Yes.
31:39Say, Alexa, make me a coffee.
31:41Alexa, make me a coffee.
31:44We have no sales.
31:45People are coming off the lines.
31:46We're losing momentum.
31:48Wow, we've got another phone call coming in.
31:50And here we go.
31:50Good.
31:51It's working, it's working.
31:52Someone drink it.
31:53You need a big reaction, guys.
31:55We're not only just listening to the coffee, but also...
31:57It's beautiful coffee, but not only that, you can...
32:01Simply ask Alexa to do it for you.
32:03This is the modern way of living.
32:04Guys, let's just go through one more time.
32:06This is the new way.
32:07Alexa, make me a coffee.
32:08Stink with the times.
32:09We've only got a couple of these left, so make sure you jump on the phone.
32:12Five seconds, four, three.
32:14Put your music on.
32:15Your favourite coffee machine at your fingertips.
32:18Thank you, guys.
32:19That was delicious coffee.
32:22Liam was not good.
32:24He claims in his CV he's a good salesman.
32:26Move on to the next product.
32:27Next up, we have the air fryer.
32:29We've got the air fryer.
32:30And, guys, it's a bit boring right now.
32:33We really need a lot of energy, like, as much as you guys can.
32:37Energy.
32:39Guys, we're here to talk to you about an amazing modern advancement in technology.
32:44So this item's a very easy item to sell.
32:46I sold this out only two weeks ago.
32:48I've never seen an air fryer that is a grill included as well.
32:51It is absolutely astonishing.
32:53It's not a conventional air fryer.
32:56It's a different one.
32:57It's got a grill and a steamer in it.
33:00OK, let Mia speak about her expertise in cooking, Liam.
33:04It is up to six litres in...
33:06So, guys, I'm a big chef myself.
33:09I am a big feeder.
33:11But gone are the days of having the same meal every night.
33:15Just show that passion.
33:16Talk about it.
33:17You're a food lover, a food expert.
33:19If you like your food burnt, you can burn it if you really, really want.
33:24Well, we haven't sold one yet.
33:26And I'm surprised because I thought this is very much in vogue now, air frying.
33:31Remember, you can use these components, take it out, throw it in the washing machine.
33:36It is safe.
33:36Dishwasher, sorry.
33:38Come on, Mia.
33:38Talk about this.
33:39It goes up all the way to 250 degrees.
33:43This is what you do.
33:44This is your passion.
33:44OK, guys, final price.
33:46Imagine what it can do for you for a few minutes for all those new vegetables.
33:50We've got our last price.
33:52This is our final price drop.
33:54One sold.
33:54There we are at last.
33:55Pick up the phone.
33:57Last few seconds.
33:58Five, four, three, two, one.
34:01It's fine.
34:01It's gone.
34:02This was an online special.
34:04Thank you so much.
34:05All right, you're clear.
34:06This is their most valuable item.
34:08Mia seems to have totally forgotten her entire catering pitch.
34:12No actual facts about the product.
34:14How on earth is that going to sell anything?
34:16I'm going straight into the vacuum, guys.
34:18As soon as you can.
34:19Five, four.
34:21Liam, are you ready?
34:22Yeah, we're live.
34:23This is a two-in-one vacuum.
34:26Hey, talk about the vacuum.
34:27Use it.
34:28Let me give you a little bit of a demonstration.
34:31So you just turn it on at the back and you can press it in.
34:38It's got a quick, easy access.
34:43You're a bit clumsy then, Liam.
34:45I think you want to check to make sure you know how to connect it up before.
34:48So if you want the longer shaft with the smaller handle.
34:53Turn it on for like five seconds to show how powerful it is.
34:56Let me just turn these on.
34:57Oh, can you do it?
35:05I mean, if he needs to show it.
35:08Come on, man.
35:11Yeah, that's right.
35:12Wow, look at the power coming off of it.
35:17Wow, it's unbelievable.
35:19Put the attachment on.
35:20You can change the...
35:21I talk about the corners.
35:23You can switch it over so conveniently.
35:26At the edge of your fingertips, you have two different things.
35:32Is it the wrong way around?
35:33You can have all different usage.
35:37Get into them small corners.
35:39Okay, Liam, ten off.
35:41Final price and let's count down with us.
35:44Hold on.
35:45We've got a price drop coming in five, four...
35:49I think when he's holding it, he should at least have it connected.
35:51Can't really tell what it is.
35:52Remember, if you've got...
35:53If you're on the fence, you've got two items all in one.
35:57Liam, you need to assemble it.
35:58Show it.
35:58They can't see it.
35:59It looks broken right now.
36:02This is only $16.70 a month.
36:05Margaret just placed an order.
36:07Thank you, Margaret.
36:08As you can see, the power on this is absolutely unbelievable.
36:13Margaret's just bought one.
36:15She must be quite short.
36:20Liam, take your time to assemble it now.
36:24What are you doing, you dipstick?
36:27Final minute, Liam.
36:28Assemble it again.
36:30Assemble it again.
36:31They can't even see the product.
36:32Thank you for everyone that has purchased.
36:34We've just got another purchase.
36:36Last chance to buy.
36:37Free.
36:38The last chance to buy.
36:39We've got ten seconds left.
36:41Five, four...
36:42It's gone.
36:43It's gone.
36:43It's gone.
36:44Everyone, thank you so much for having us tonight.
36:46And it's been a pleasure.
36:49Oh, my God.
36:51I want to go again.
36:52I want to go again.
36:53Guys, there were times where the energy I felt just wasn't like it is.
36:57Now, look, how happy yous are.
36:58I needed to see that.
36:59We've definitely done our best.
37:00I felt like we brought as much energy as we could.
37:03If we were to fail this task, the project manager would have to be liable for that.
37:07Liam stuttered over his words.
37:08He didn't seem to have any notion of what he was talking about.
37:11I feel like I would have done better.
37:14Tonight, it's back to the house.
37:17Tomorrow, in the boardroom, final sales will be revealed.
37:29You can go through to the boardroom now.
37:31Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.
37:50And, yes, one of the most interesting tasks, selling live on TV.
37:57Now, ascendancy, we have here Liam as the project manager.
38:04Jordan, you became the sub-team leader, yeah?
38:07Correct, yeah.
38:08Initially, I was very, very firm that I wanted to be on the presenting selling team.
38:13I felt, you know, every time there's been a presentation throughout the process, I've stepped up.
38:17And I thought my strengths lay there.
38:18Obviously, not everyone can do the presentation.
38:22I really wanted to give it a go.
38:24And I felt like, in Jordan's part, because he didn't get the role that he was given,
38:29he sort of was a little bit sulking and maybe had a little bit of a lower energy.
38:33No, I completely disagree.
38:34I remember, you might remember, I was watching, yeah?
38:38And I saw you presenting.
38:40And I'm afraid to say, Liam, your presentation skills are not very good.
38:45To me, you were hovering around like this, it looked like you wanted to do a wee.
38:50I've got some comments here from the general public.
38:54This guy is embarrassing.
38:57Get rid of him is dreadful.
38:59In the gallery, me and Jordan kept saying, more energy, more passion.
39:03We did feel like it was a bit lacklustre at times.
39:05Hmm.
39:07In complete contrast to that, Mia, you were quite good.
39:11I thought it was very, very good.
39:13Can I just say, this was my favourite task today.
39:16I loved it so much.
39:18Right.
39:19The items that you chose, a coffee machine that actually you can speak to,
39:24a vacuum cleaner, and robes.
39:27Cheetah print robe.
39:28I mean, to me, it looked like Bette Lynch's curtains.
39:31Yeah, definitely.
39:32Look, I went in there, Lord Sugar, with the objective of getting products
39:36that people would actually see themselves using,
39:38and I thought that was the best choice.
39:40I'm really happy with the products.
39:41Yeah, of course, at the end of the day, it's not what you like,
39:45it's what you think the viewers will buy, yeah?
39:48Let's move on to this coffee machine.
39:52Apparently, you just said, make me a cup of coffee,
39:54but I was watching it, and all that was coming out was water.
39:57I did think it was an interesting product.
40:00I think the biggest problem you had
40:01is that when you received the items from Anissa and Jordan,
40:05you didn't ask enough questions about them.
40:07So the coffee machine, you didn't really know how to use,
40:10and when you came to demonstrate the vacuum cleaner,
40:12you didn't know how to put it together.
40:14Yeah, I don't know how I got it around the wrong way.
40:16Obviously...
40:17You made it look harder to assemble than the Oppenheimer bomb.
40:20Yeah.
40:21Quite honestly.
40:21I mean, you were fiddling around.
40:23I was dying for you, I have to say.
40:26I was dying for you.
40:28Now, your style product, Mia, convinced the company
40:34that you were the better team to have it,
40:37because I think that you've got an air fryer, is that right?
40:40Yeah, so my background is...
40:42So you used your frequent air fryer miles, maybe, to get it.
40:46I thought that the air fryer, you would sell hundreds of them,
40:52because it is very fashionable at the moment.
40:54It's interesting you say that, Alan.
40:56They said that the week before, they'd sold 250 of them in 30 minutes.
41:01You sold two.
41:03Anyway, let's move over to parallel.
41:06Max, you wanted to be the PM.
41:09You have experience of live streaming.
41:14Yes, I've worked in live sport,
41:16so I've worked at the All England Tennis Championships,
41:18used to the gallery, and thought that was a relevant experience.
41:21So you chose beauty and outdoor?
41:24Yeah, that's correct.
41:25You ended up with the face spa, is that right?
41:28Yeah, so it's supposed to unclog your pores,
41:30give you an even skin complexion.
41:33I didn't see you use it.
41:34I think I did hold it to my face and demonstrate it.
41:35I saw the steam coming out of it.
41:37Yeah, that's good.
41:38Half an hour of that would even get Prince Andrew to sweat.
41:42LAUGHTER
41:44But you didn't use it.
41:47The reason you didn't use it, I suppose,
41:49is because you didn't want to disturb your make-up or something like that.
41:52No, absolutely not.
41:53I was really happy to get stuck in.
41:54But why didn't you put it on?
41:56I held it close to my face, but I was just conscious.
41:58I wanted the viewers to see myself talking.
42:01Hmm.
42:02Now, the picnic blanket.
42:05Yes.
42:05What is all that about?
42:07I don't get it.
42:08I was saying to Max,
42:09we need to sell a lot of the picnic blankets
42:11to allow for one of the parasails.
42:13I didn't disagree with that sentiment at all,
42:15but the minimum we could sell that product for was £100,
42:18which we both thought was way too inflated
42:20to be able to viably sell.
42:21Yeah.
42:22I struggled with the picnic blanket.
42:23There's not much you can say about a picnic blanket.
42:25A picnic blanket was hard.
42:26So I did struggle,
42:27and I didn't feel like I was getting much from the gallery.
42:29I was trying to come up with stories
42:30of how you can use the picnic blanket.
42:32It was interesting in the gallery,
42:33where there was some slight disconnecting
42:36between the two of you.
42:37Max, at one point,
42:38you did tell me to sort of calm down a bit
42:40because I was...
42:40You lost your rag with him,
42:41speaking of him much.
42:42No, no, no.
42:43I didn't lose my rag.
42:44I felt that there was a bit too much energy
42:46and a bit too much shouting coming from Dean,
42:48particularly on the star product.
42:49You did say, keep the energy up
42:50because you're with the girls.
42:51I appreciated the energy.
42:53Yeah.
42:53You need the upbeatness.
42:55You need, right, come on, girls, this goes.
42:56Also, Dean,
42:57you were then just touching random graphics
42:58on the screen without knowing what they do.
43:00You can't do that in live TV.
43:01So the sparkles,
43:03I was adding the sparkles on the star by...
43:04But we didn't know what those buttons did at the time.
43:08But it was a sparkle.
43:09That's clearly what it is.
43:10But you don't know what that means.
43:11Yeah.
43:11I think also you're getting a slight insight
43:13to what was in the gallery.
43:15Hmm.
43:16Anyway,
43:17I couldn't understand what those hand things were.
43:21So the first job that you needed to do,
43:24you two presenters,
43:25was to tell me what they do.
43:27And then you were making some claims
43:29which could not be substantiated.
43:32Yeah, I think I got a little bit too excited at one point
43:35and I think I claimed that the handy mitts
43:38were better than any skin cream that you've ever used.
43:42But we quickly apologised to the viewers.
43:45Outrageous claims.
43:47I thought you were going to bring Lazarus back
43:49from the dead, actually, any minute.
43:53OK, so I think it's time to get round to numbers now.
43:58Let's see how you did.
44:00You may have had expectations of what you think you sold,
44:04but people changed their minds.
44:06So these are the real confirmed figures
44:09from the shopping channel.
44:10So, Tim, can you tell me the final result for your team?
44:14Well, thankfully, all of my team's sales went through
44:17and they managed to sell 32 products,
44:20giving them a grand total of sales of £1,305.68.
44:25OK.
44:27Karen, same question.
44:29Well, Ascendancy,
44:31unfortunately, none of the sales of the coffee machine went through,
44:35which was one of your most expensive items.
44:39But you did sell 37 other products
44:43and that gave you a total of £1,529.63.
44:51Right.
44:51Well, Liam, you won.
44:55For your treat,
44:57you let loose at a high-rope activity course.
45:01So have fun and I'll see you on the next task, OK?
45:04Thank you, Lorca.
45:05Thank you, Tim.
45:06Thank you, Tim.
45:06That's ready.
45:07That's ready.
45:08If you would like to go away now,
45:16you will have a talk amongst yourself.
45:19I'll call you back in here
45:20and I can tell you
45:21that at least one of you
45:23will be leaving the process today.
45:25Off you go.
45:32Let's go and do it.
45:35For Liam!
45:36It was great to be the project manager and win.
45:43I've done my best, sold a few hoovers
45:45and if we didn't sell them,
45:46maybe we wouldn't have won.
45:47Good job!
45:49I was absolutely buzzing for the TV selling task.
45:52I loved the pressure
45:53and it was just a huge, yeah, achievement.
45:56Well done.
45:57I want to do it again.
45:59Come on, Jordan.
45:59You can do it, bro.
46:00I can't get my foot in.
46:02I've never seen a geezer struggle so much.
46:04Seven out of nine wins,
46:05it's the best record in this process.
46:07Okay, I'm good.
46:09It was my decisions that won us the task
46:11in choosing the right product,
46:12so very happy with my performance.
46:14Well done, everyone.
46:15On to the next one.
46:18Let's go!
46:18You lost out on the air fryer.
46:24I said we need as much enthusiasm as possible
46:26and we didn't do that.
46:27But we did.
46:28We gave him a lot of enthusiasm
46:30when it came to all of the product.
46:32And that's what we did.
46:32We've not done a good enough job
46:33because we've missed out to the other team.
46:35The star buy is not the issue of this task.
46:37The failure of this task lies with Max
46:39and the fact that we had such an awful product selection.
46:42I think if we would have switched over
46:44and I went for the star buy...
46:46Where was the suggestion in the morning meeting?
46:49Well, this is why I wanted to be PM.
46:50Well, I don't accept that.
46:52And that, I think, is the biggest problem.
46:54We selected the wrong PM.
46:56Ultimately, Dean seemed very content yesterday.
46:58It's only really now that we've lost the task
47:00that he seems to be pointing the blame in my direction
47:02and I'm absolutely not going to have it.
47:03The other team had way better products, you know,
47:07across the board.
47:08I stand by the fact that when Dean and I...
47:10And again, this is, you know, chip in, Dean,
47:12if you want, mate,
47:13because, you know, you're the guy who sources products
47:15and wanted to be PM.
47:15But can I just say...
47:16When we were in that room
47:17and we were looking at outdoor products,
47:18we did that together.
47:20I feel like Max is looking for someone to put the blame on.
47:22It's not going to put it on me.
47:24He's made his bed and he's got to lay on it.
47:33Yeah, can you send the four candidates in, please?
47:52What I can't really get my head around is,
47:54is that the kayak, for example,
47:56in a 20-minute session held by TJC,
48:00they sell 50.
48:02You sold three.
48:04The hand thing, they sell 11.
48:07You sold two.
48:08So why do you think that is?
48:11I appreciate we could have definitely done more.
48:13I did get slightly frustrated,
48:15because at points,
48:16I think it was the galleries team's job
48:18to kind of see when we may have needed
48:20a little bit more information
48:21and just to feed us back those USPs.
48:23I think when it came to the kayak in particular,
48:25it was quite a hard sell, to be quite frank,
48:27and we didn't get a lot of information
48:29through our earpiece.
48:30I would also say that there were some kind of things
48:32that Dean and I were both saying
48:34that were ignored.
48:35So the steamer, for example,
48:36I was really trying to encourage you
48:38to put it on your face
48:39and show them how it worked.
48:40It's all well and good saying
48:41that we weren't giving you help
48:43and giving you USPs.
48:44Here's an example where we were doing that
48:45and you were ignoring it.
48:46The picnic blanket,
48:49what possessed you to choose that?
48:52I mean, you spoke so much about this bag.
48:54At one point,
48:55I thought you were going to say
48:56it could even fly it,
48:57like a magic carpet.
48:59Yeah, I thought the picnic blanket
49:00was an awful product to have.
49:03I have really tried my best
49:04to try and keep talking about a blanket,
49:06but there's only so much I could say.
49:08Why didn't you choose the parasol?
49:09Why didn't you take the parasol?
49:11This is what I was trying to flag up,
49:12that that was worth more money,
49:13so we need to sell less of them
49:15to equivalent for the picnic blanket.
49:17You know, it was a mutual discussion that we had.
49:19You know, you are kind of quote-unquote
49:21a wheeler-dealer sort of guy.
49:24You know, you were in that room
49:25and we both agreed,
49:26based on the products in front of us,
49:27that the ones that we landed on
49:29were the best.
49:29Yeah.
49:30But I am project manager.
49:32I have to take accountability
49:33for the fact that the product selection
49:35should have been better.
49:37Yeah, I think so.
49:39Chisola, you lost the star product
49:42to the other team.
49:43Why did you lose it?
49:44Yeah, I mean, I think we both were quite enthusiastic
49:47when it came to talking to Faz
49:49about the different products.
49:50I think what he said to us specifically
49:52was that you showed equal enthusiasm
49:55for a number of different products
49:56rather than focusing on the one
49:57you actually wanted.
49:59And therefore, Mia got the other product
50:01because she was very enthusiastic
50:02about the air fryer.
50:03Only about the air fryer.
50:05Mm-hmm.
50:05Mm-hmm.
50:06Now, in the gallery,
50:08Max and Dean
50:09were having a little bit of a disagreement,
50:14I think.
50:15Yeah, it was towards the end
50:16I started trying to do things a bit different.
50:19I weren't scared to hit them buttons, you know.
50:20You need to take these risks.
50:21You need to do something
50:22to make this pop off the screen a bit more.
50:24They weren't nothing mad.
50:25They weren't going to make the screen,
50:27I don't know, collapse or something.
50:29Well, it was a good button.
50:30It's all well and good saying that,
50:31but the reality is
50:32neither of us had pressed those buttons,
50:33so we had absolutely no idea what they did.
50:35Did you say, as an air conditioning salesman,
50:37you lost your cool in the gallery?
50:40I thought I kept it cool
50:41and I was doing what needed to be done.
50:44I thought, yeah, try different things.
50:46The product ain't selling, what can we do?
50:48OK, look, Max,
50:51who are you bringing back into this boardroom?
50:55So, unfortunately,
50:56I'm going to have to bring back Gisola.
50:57I think, for me,
50:59one of the key areas that we fell down on
51:02was not sourcing the air fryer
51:03and I'm going to bring Dean back as well,
51:05because of the disruption in the gallery.
51:09All right, listen,
51:10Amber Rose,
51:12you can go back to the house.
51:14Thank you very much.
51:15Yeah.
51:22I'd like you to step outside
51:24and I'll call you back in shortly
51:25where one of you is going to be fired for sure.
51:28OK.
51:36What have you got to say about Max?
51:38The biggest issue for me
51:39is that Max picked items that he liked.
51:42He didn't think about the consumer
51:43and what they wanted
51:44and what they'd be willing to pay for them.
51:47Chisola.
51:48The two biggest mistakes
51:49is, one,
51:50they lost the star product they wanted
51:52and, secondly,
51:53the star product they did choose,
51:55they didn't seem to know anything about it.
51:57Yeah.
51:58What about Mr. Cole, Dean?
52:00In that gallery,
52:01he was like a kid in a shop.
52:03He kept pressing all the buttons...
52:04Pressing buttons and things like that.
52:05And he got on the project manager's nerves.
52:07Hmm.
52:10Yes, can you send the three of them in, please?
52:22Chisola,
52:23you wanted the air fryer
52:27but it had already gone to Mia.
52:29She's better than you or what?
52:31I think in this situation,
52:33we probably got too excited
52:35about both products
52:36rather than honing in
52:37on the one we specifically wanted
52:39and that's what then swayed the decision.
52:41But I wouldn't say
52:41she's better than me at all.
52:43Hmm.
52:44I mean,
52:45disco boxing gloves,
52:46that's all I can call them.
52:49They were terrible.
52:51I think we saw them
52:52as a bit of a risk.
52:53They were very innovative.
52:55They were different.
52:55I just think it was too niche.
52:56It was one of the things
52:57in the morning briefing.
52:58I said,
52:59I just really don't want to go
53:00for too niche a product
53:01that we cannot sell
53:02ultimately.
53:03The kayak is what I see as niche.
53:05A kayak is niche.
53:06It's not, you know,
53:07a product that everyone
53:08would go out and buy.
53:09And I accept that,
53:10you know,
53:10that wasn't the right
53:11product selection in hindsight
53:13but it also wasn't
53:13our star product.
53:14Yeah,
53:14and it was definitely a star.
53:17We were able to sell
53:18a couple of them
53:18and we sold them
53:19at, you know,
53:20the highest price.
53:21Hmm.
53:21Dean,
53:22chaotic in the gallery,
53:24didn't speak up
53:25at product selection.
53:27What do you say about that?
53:28I don't believe
53:29I was that disruptive.
53:30I was pushing the buttons
53:31trying to make things happen
53:32and they weren't
53:33nothing crazy.
53:34I'm not frightened
53:35to do something different
53:36if it's going to
53:36make a sale
53:38or, you know,
53:39make a change.
53:40I don't know.
53:40Nothing was happening.
53:41I don't know.
53:42Max was sitting there
53:42and nothing was going on.
53:44Look, Dean,
53:45if you would have done
53:45such a great job,
53:46why didn't you fight harder
53:47to be project manager?
53:49You know,
53:49at the end of the day,
53:49I put myself forward
53:50as project manager.
53:51I don't know why
53:52you got chosen
53:52as project manager.
53:53Just because you've done
53:54a TV advertisement
53:55for tennis or whatever
53:56doesn't mean you should
53:57be good at buying and selling.
53:58I'm confident
53:59with my output
54:00throughout this process.
54:01I feel like, you know,
54:01it's one of the things
54:02I'm most proud of.
54:03I've thrown myself
54:03at every single task
54:04and I do think
54:05I've been respected
54:06by other candidates.
54:07That's why I was
54:08voted in for this.
54:09Well, she chose you
54:11because of all of your
54:12claims to fame,
54:14you know?
54:14It is worth noting
54:15that when I said
54:16I had TV
54:17broadcasting experience,
54:19I did know
54:20that it's not
54:20with the live TV selling.
54:22But it still was
54:22live streaming.
54:23I think that's what I said.
54:25I was like,
54:25live streaming.
54:26Yeah, and I still maintain
54:27I think I was the best person
54:28to be project manager
54:29on this task.
54:30I think, Dean...
54:31You can't still think that,
54:32surely.
54:33Where were these skills
54:34in the gallery?
54:36For me,
54:37it comes back to the product.
54:37You've done this before.
54:38You've been behind
54:39this screen before.
54:40You've done all this.
54:41So where were these skills
54:42in the gallery?
54:42Because you wasn't doing much.
54:44Well, what were you doing
54:44in the gallery then?
54:45Too much, apparently.
54:47Well, in terms of
54:48pressing random buttons,
54:48we didn't know what to do.
54:49No, I was controlling
54:50all the prices,
54:51I was speaking to the girls.
54:52And that was just you, was it?
54:52I was doing 70% of the work,
54:54I'll say.
54:54No, I completely disagree.
54:56I think we've got to
54:57bring this to an end now.
54:59I don't want to hear
55:00any more from you.
55:01I'm going to summarise here.
55:05Chisola,
55:05look, I think you were
55:08very good on this task,
55:10to be perfectly frank.
55:12You had a tough task
55:13selling the blanket,
55:14you know,
55:15and the canoe.
55:17I think it would be
55:18unfair of me
55:19to fire you today.
55:22Chisola,
55:23you're going to remain.
55:26Max,
55:27Dean,
55:30Max hasn't impressed me
55:31very much.
55:32Max made quite a lot of mistakes
55:34picking the wrong things,
55:36picking things that he liked.
55:39Dean,
55:39you worry me a lot.
55:41You really do.
55:44This is the fourth time
55:45you've been in the bottom three
55:47and three times on the trot
55:50in the last three weeks.
55:53For that reason, Dean,
55:55you know,
55:55I'm sorry to say that
55:57I'm not very impressed at all.
56:03But,
56:04Max,
56:06I'm going to hold you
56:07accountable and responsible
56:09for the failure
56:10of this task.
56:11It is regretful,
56:13but you're fired.
56:15Thanks so much,
56:16Lord Sugar.
56:16Thank you, Baroness Brady.
56:17I've had a great time.
56:18Thank you, Tim.
56:26Dean,
56:27take this
56:29as a severe
56:30warning.
56:31My eyes are firmly
56:33on you.
56:34I don't mind
56:34a chirpy chappy.
56:35I don't mind
56:36a wheeler dealer.
56:37Bit like myself.
56:39But I won't be
56:40putting up with much more.
56:41Go back to the house
56:42to pay review, okay?
56:43Thank you,
56:44Osherah.
56:59I'm absolutely gutted
57:00to be leaving the process
57:01at this stage,
57:02but I'm glad
57:02that I put myself
57:03right out there
57:04and didn't sit on the fence.
57:05So, overall,
57:06you know,
57:06I could hold my head up high.
57:08So, in your opinion,
57:11who do you think
57:11is going to go?
57:12Dean is on thin ice
57:13and I think also Max
57:15could potentially
57:16be in trouble as well
57:17just because
57:17some of the decisions
57:18he made.
57:20But it's really,
57:21really hard to call
57:22if I'm honest.
57:22It was brutal, man.
57:35It was a bit of a dogfight
57:36between me and Max.
57:37Oh, yeah.
57:38But I had the bigger teeth.
57:39I literally thought
57:43I was getting fired
57:45and then he fired Max.
57:46Yeah, he fired Max.
57:47And he said,
57:47I've got my eyes
57:49on you now.
57:50And he just looked at me
57:51and I was like,
57:51well...
57:52We've got one task left
57:54until the final five.
57:56It's all or none.
57:57Now,
57:59seven candidates remain.
58:01The search for
58:02Lord Sugar's
58:03next business partner
58:04continues.
58:08Next time...
58:09I want you to create
58:10your own fashion brand.
58:12Fashion victims...
58:13That is ridiculous.
58:15Who do you see
58:16popping down the shop
58:16wearing this?
58:17Risky runways...
58:19You don't belong here.
58:20This is the ocean.
58:21And in the boardroom...
58:23Who in their right mind
58:24is going to place
58:25an order for that?
58:26A dressing down.
58:28You're fired.
58:30Max is appearing
58:32on another TV show.
58:33You're fired.
58:34Over on BBC Two.
58:36Well, from meeting
58:37shoplifters to arms dealers,

58:39collection of thought-provoking
58:41documentaries on iPlayer.
