00:07this is an opportunity of a lifetime battling to become his business partner 18 ambitious
00:14entrepreneurs let's go ah i've pulled my shin action oh it's a deal worth fighting for please
00:23this is absolutely mental we're going to get nothing done if we speak to each other like this
00:2718 candidates we just don't want it looking like poop 12 tough times that's the biggest load of
00:34garbage i've ever seen oh no are you joking no i'm not joking one life-changing opportunity
00:40you're fired you're fired this is bloody shambles you're fired
00:44previously they dig up all of your skeletons candidates were cross-examined i thought it'd
00:59be quite funny does it really feel like fun right now proposals picked apart this business plan is
01:05a car crash it's so unrealistic it's to be just nonsensical and in the boardroom i've got no
01:13confidence whatsoever amber rose's bubble tea business burst you're fired chisola's app crashed
01:21i don't get it so it is with regret that you're fired and jordan's journey came to a close
01:28you're here too early mate that's the problem and so it is regretful that you're fired
01:35now dean and anisa go head to head
01:37we're in the final well done anisa in the battle to become lord sugar's business partner
01:44five a.m for the finalists hello hello one last task lord sugar would like to meet you at the

02:06honorable society of lincoln's inn we better get ready there man yeah good luck
02:14this experience has broke me and then remade me it made me realize i've got emotions in me that i
02:21never knew were there i'm obviously not only here for myself i'm here for my wife and kids
02:27the company i've got i've worked so hard to get it where it is everything he's riding in the next two
02:32days it's crunch time i came into this process being confident that i can win it there's been a lot of
02:40mistakes a lot of lessons but i didn't regret any of it because i've now become a much stronger
02:45businesswoman because of it if i won this investment my whole life would change it has
02:50the potential to make millions and that can change my life but also everyone around me
03:11central london the honorable society of lincoln's inn training britain's barristers since 1422
03:20good morning good morning sugar lincoln's inn is one of the four inns of court dedicated to
03:41the development of some of the country's finest legal minds these are people that argue their case
03:48day in day out and that's exactly what you need to do if you want to win my 250 000 pounds so for
03:57your final task i want you to launch your businesses you need to create a new brand for your company

04:49first ladies first ladies ladies first heads please heads please heads it is so your first choice who
04:57would you like uh jisola
05:02how do you look great dean come on in liam
05:06first time we get to work with each other eh we're proud of you bro well done thank you um amber rose
05:12jordan
05:19frederick
05:24mia
05:28emma
05:33johnny
05:37malika
05:37well done
05:41save the best to last nadia thanks dean
05:48right anisa pizza is a crowded market and food companies go bust every day so you need to prove to
05:56me that your business can stand out in the face of tough competition dean i'm sure air conditioning
06:04makes you a solid living what i want to know is if you're offering me a scalable proposition
06:10well good luck to you both and i'll see you in a few days time off you go thank you
06:15you
06:19two days to turn plans on paper into budding businesses
06:24so pleased to see you all welcome back getting a taste of anisa's ambitions i'm so excited to try
06:31these pizzas i've heard they're five stars the rest of her team so this is chicken tikka masala one
06:38oh wow wow that's banging so nice so lovely the current operations is in the kitchen of my dad's
06:47restaurant oh so the way i want to expand is through dark kitchens so what a dark kitchen is
06:54it's essentially a takeaway without a front yeah so these are delivery only models so some of the
07:00feedback from law sugar is how am i going to stand out on a crowd market so what i want to be known as
07:05for this brand is the pioneer of indian-style pizzas so that's the plan going forward any questions
07:14honestly it's banging like it tastes so good
07:21across the hall the main question from law sugar was how are you going to scale up your business
07:26breezing through the details i need engineers more vans more tools air con superfan dean
07:34air conditioning is a source of heat pump basically getting rid of the air outside and bringing it in
07:40inside but there's no transition and this is air conditioning tool right it's a sealed system
07:44it compresses the gas pumps the refrigerant around the system and that's what it does it recirculates
07:48the air within the room that's why it's conditioning the air air conditioning getting all this johnny yeah
07:56air conditioning i'm very passionate about it it's not the most glamorous thing in the world but i think
08:00it's sexy so i've just got to make it um sexy one team will be creating the brand i'll be on that team
08:08with chisola and emma slicing up her supporters and the other team will making the tv ad i know amber
08:14rose you have experience making videos i think you'd be a great sub team leader i would be on it pizza pro
08:19and nisa like what are your thoughts on the advert i don't want it to be too gimmicky so the tv ad
08:26reads the focus on what we're all about takeaway focus it's not an eaten restaurant it's going to be
08:32on the delivery apps i think in terms of location choose a space that looks like someone's house
08:37does that make sense yeah with the tv ad i'm very clear on what i want our end goal to be this is my
08:44business i'm hoping the team also understand and get on board as well so it's everyone clear what
08:48the concept is and the idea yeah yeah ambrose i fully trust you as sub team leader no pressure
08:56nadia i'd like you to go with uh liam and mia and do the tv advert yeah sounds fun conditioning his
09:02crew so liam i'd love for you to be a sub team leader i'm more than happy dean guys with the advert i want
09:09people to know that air conditioning is not a luxury anymore it's an essential it's not that
09:13expensive to buy it can all be controlled by your phone it tells you the room temperature it tells you
09:18the pollution in the air people need to understand how quick it is to call a room do want to get that
09:24point across it's a fan only if you did want it to be just a fan it's also got a dehumidifier on there
09:28hay fever sufferers cleans the air all this stuff is cheap to run it can be installed quickly no mess
09:34so if you're doing the advert you could be mentioning all these things there's a lot of
09:40information that dean wants us to cover in the video so my concern is making sure we hit the brief
09:46as much as we can without making it boring people think that it only does cooling not a lot of people
09:51know that it does heating as well um all right sweet that makes sense so i just we just need to get
09:55the points across i'm basically trying to get across let's do it let's get out of here good luck guys
10:0111 a.m today half of each team will turn out tv ads there's a lot he wants to get across yeah we
10:11need to be really strategic in terms of what are going to be the most useful pieces of information
10:15yeah yeah while the finalists build their brands i'm so buzzing that you're in the final congratulations
10:22honestly your pizzas taste amazing thank you girls so much i love the energy this is a no-brainer
10:27yeah get the investment right now central london the main thing is the fact that ac can heat up
10:37homes obviously a lot of people just associated to cooling flipping the focus of dean's campaign so i
10:43think a bedroom would be a good location you're already in there you're cold core is freezing in
10:48here liam airs his ad idea you're gonna say i turned on my heat and ages ago it should warm up in an hour
10:55so and then you could say really my air conditioning heats my home in minutes and you say aircon that
11:01usually cools it down doesn't it and you say actually aircon heats up and cools down whilst
11:06cleaning and conditioning the air don't you think it's just a little bit like no disrespect like a
11:11little bit boring though how can we make that fun with aircon we're trying to show people it can do
11:16heating of the property yeah but can we do that like in just maybe another way instead of saying oh it
11:22cools it warms it does this just something fun i don't i hear what you're saying but i feel like
11:27we just crack on with the message okay who wants to watch such a boring ad like you've literally got
11:3610 seconds to get people engaged and if it's not caught them within that instance they're just going
11:40to switch the channel over and not be interested in it at the end of the day we need to be getting
11:45the key information that dean wants in there about air conditioning and his firm do you know what i
11:49mean yeah
11:54on the other team maybe we should get a bit creative with this yes how about two friends at a football
12:00match thinking outside the pizza box after the game they're both starving one wants a pizza one wants
12:07indian frederick yeah like we could start off have you ever wondered what would happen your two favorite
12:14teams oh fuse together yes yes love that that's a good that's really really good we could say oh that
12:21match was so good do you know what i'm really hungry and they'll be like should we go for an indian
12:27do you know this place and it's curries on a pizza so we don't even need to choose between
12:32but we can only be one winner but with our pizza we can have two women yeah that's it yeah
12:43i feel like it's a very creative idea i feel like it's a very fun idea british people love football
12:47british people love curry british people love pizza so ultimately it is a winning combination we've
12:54actually come up with a masterpiece here i think anisa will be really happy with it i love it
13:02midday hello at creative agency isabel i want to be very clear straight away what the brand's about
13:11chewing over names for her fusion concept you see the name and you know it's indian style pizzas
13:18anisa's pizza posse so does anyone have any name ideas um spice and slice
13:27they need to know it's indian star pizzas i i had slice of india it's too indian in a way
13:34what about something around authentic indian pizza like something around that shoes is the chicken
13:39tikka masala is actually indian it's not authentic yeah yeah i want it to be more like catchy fusion spice
13:47we need to have the pizza part yeah confusion spice could be okay yeah anything
13:57chazola and emma are really trying hard but anisa because she's so passionate about making it right
14:03she's shutting down the creativity she's got to let loose a bit and come up with some new ideas
14:08that's really going to stand out in a very competitive market space what about pizza indiana i think indiana is
14:15like the italian word for india people won't understand it i need it to be understandable straight
14:24i've been thinking about this for years it ain't just uh come down to this now
14:28domestic call for dean name ticked off this is the target that i actually want to aim for okay domestic
14:35installations next lock down his logo can can we get this domestic in the lighter blue
14:42domestic cool my biggest concern would be that you know we're talking about just doing domestic homes
14:50are we blocking ourselves off from commercial 90 of my work is domestic and if i'm including that
14:57within the name i think it fits quite well should we maybe get a roof on here uh yeah so go across the
15:03top so you're not worried about kind of shutting yourself off from a big part of the air conditioning
15:08market no for me the domestic market is the one to target and domestic calls way forward can we get
15:15a squiggly line this between there and there lord sugar has said to dean that he wants scalability
15:21that's the biggest thing here um and we've cut out two-thirds of the market you know we're just going
15:26for domestics so that might be a massive oversight instant cooling throughout your home yeah i'm happy with
15:32that you know they obviously specialize in domestic cooling to me it looks really good
15:40for anisa's team should we score with zal pizza zal means spicy in bengali i think zal has a ring
15:46to it yeah name finally nailed title time icon wise i was thinking an indian pattern still to produce
15:54a branded box i want the inside the pizza to be yellow and the border to be purple yeah i suppose
16:00finally it's left it looks like a flower to me i know what indian patterns look like which i don't
16:06so as somebody who doesn't i don't know what that is what what things come to mind immediately when we
16:10say india something that takes you to india is the taj mahal yes i've seen so many indian restaurants
16:15use a taj mahal i still like my flower on the most but you guys don't like i just don't think i get i
16:20get it just have nothing we don't have time i want the whole box to be yellow on the side that flower
16:25pattern yeah i know it's so basic right now but one minute i think it needs a temple on the front
16:30of some imagery i would just chuck the temple on there just to say this is what we're doing
16:34if i do the touch my heart instead yeah yeah just in the middle yeah just on something i don't think
16:38there's time to anything more now brandon and logo was tough um i'm not gonna lie i think the logo
16:48we've ended up with is quite bland is quite plain and doesn't really have anything interesting about
16:53it i think once it's printed it'll look better yeah 4 pm central london just so everyone's familiar
17:05with the storyboard okay just focus on the fact that it warms up the home faster honing in on heating
17:11for his ad just do a bit of shivering and then just have a knock and then mia said come in debut director
17:17liam and action come in it's bolted in you han what's going on i turned the central heating on
17:25hours ago my water's turned to ice honestly have you not got an air c ac condition in there that's
17:32for cold no han like these days they go warm they go cold and it's fantastic for air filtration
17:40you can even turn it on from your phone you can even turn it on from your phone
17:44this is my house it's absolutely boiling right now all right cut there guys their advert makes
17:51no sense at all these guys have decided to show someone who's cold and buys an air conditioning unit
17:57to warm them up there's a secondary use of an air conditioning unit the primary use is to cool you
18:03down and it takes literally a matter of minutes to warm up the house perfect across town
18:11frederick and melika jump up jump up we're gonna stop coaching her cast
18:17no more energy we need to sell pizza amber rose as soon as i say go you start with your lines
18:28okay go oh my goodness what a stop stop yeah um okay that was good yeah i need more energy quicker
18:39okay you get it yeah action whoa that match was incredible what a game do that again quicker action
18:47ah that game was incredible what a game try not to pause too much in between your lines we'll go again
18:53guys action whoa that game was incredible what a game do that again and if you could speak a little
19:00bit louder for me okay and also melika please remember to look forward into the pitch from the top
19:05i'm super excited making this tv advert today because i just feel like i'm in my zone directing
19:12behind the camera i feel like i've got a great eye for it and i'm gonna come up with a really great tv
19:17advert let's do it one more time and melika tiny bit more energy
19:23we're gonna just get a bit of a close-up now all right ready action nadia for team air con have you not
19:29got air conditioning it warms up the house way quicker a chance to check in perfect
19:35close there happy with that that's that's great they're calling oh hi guys how are you yeah we're
19:42good so we've come up with the uh name of the company it's called domestical okay domestic
19:49instant cooling throughout your home is the tagline instant cooling throughout your home
19:54yeah so come on how do you how are you getting on um we was we was looking to do more of a video
20:05basing around the fact that it warms things up um people are going to be coming to us mainly because
20:12they're hot yeah all right sweet well that sort of we've filmed a little bit and we was going to go
20:18down the other route but obviously it's not it's not too late to change um yeah we just we'll switch
20:25it well yeah it's fine we'll we'll switch it around yeah you people know an air conditioning company for
20:30cooling all right guys take care cheers guys so we're just basically starting from the top we're just
20:37going to reshoot same same scene nadia's going to not come in here of course roasting in here you need
20:43to get yourself an air conditioning you got it
20:485 pm east london so using something like this like a dardo yeah it's a big part of like indian cuisine
20:55preparing a new pizza for tomorrow's pitch they wanted something more standout and so that's what
21:01we'll give them oh here we go anisa yeah i'm going to do a quick chana masala chana oh okay what's
21:08chana masala it's like a chickpea curry yeah okay let's go the base of any indian dish is pretty much
21:15onions yeah and then let me just add some of the chickpeas this is a chuck masala this pairs really
21:21well with the chickpeas it smells delicious so let's put the spicy masala sauce on and then you just add
21:27all the chickpeas and the onions like this and cheese as well yeah okay our first pizza's going in
21:33chickpea pizza on a dal base this could be the winning combination law sugar himself said he wants
21:40me to stand out on a crowded market and i think the pizza we're making right now definitely pushes
21:44that boat it has dal has chickpeas these are definitely ingredients you don't see on pizzas
21:49and something that you can't get anywhere else definitely not flavors i've had before but
21:55it's actually quite a nice mix i'm actually really happy it's so unique it's special it's adventurous yeah
22:0110 out of 10 10 out of 10. animation studio parachute this is all very new to me i'm a bit of a dinosaur
22:10when it comes to technology creating a virtual showroom to give his pitch pizzazz so far when they walk in
22:17they'll have the display where we've got all the different units yeah dean's team what other things
22:23do we need i don't know how it works what do you think i think it could be cool to have a qr code
22:27underneath each one so they can scan it for more information yeah yeah let's do that that sounds
22:32really good jordan should you have a tablet here yeah yeah i think we should do that one on either
22:36side and on each of them it can be like get a quote exactly that that's exactly what i'm trying to
22:41achieve what else can we do what i thought could be cool is having like a um someone's living room
22:46or someone's bedroom if they want to see what it would look like above a bed you know what i mean
22:50next to a bed yeah makes sense yeah that's good so i feel like we're taking it to the next level with
22:55this and we're expanding i'm really confident about heading into the pitch tomorrow and literally just
23:00blow them away with my nice cool showroom loving this so i'm not used to this virtual reality world
23:06you know see why i got you here doing yes sir
23:10come in 7pm oh it's hot in here you need instant cooling throughout your home let me fix this for
23:21you ads wrapped we've got a lot of footage that we can work with tomorrow and hopefully create a great
23:27tv advert for anisa brands built there's my showroom i'm happy with it cool thank you mate thank you very
23:33thank you for both teams back to the house
23:447am i'm excited to show you what we've done yesterday for dean's team i think it's really
23:51good let's show you and see what you guys think yeah yeah the big reveal of his branding oh
23:57the only thing i would say is just looks a little bit like any other domestic kind of household
24:07brand i guess in terms of like a plumbing company or building company i don't think it does i think
24:11it does exactly what it says on the tin it's domestical so you know it's sort of linked to aircon
24:17and then you've got the home above it it's definitely been played really really safe it wouldn't grab my
24:22attention to look twice it just it wouldn't catch my eye across the hall oh what is this the taj mahal
24:32i think the taj mahal is a little bit random presenting her pizza it was a very much a last
24:38met decision the reason for it is more so to give the indian feel yeah anisa introducing the chana chat
24:46pizza oh i'm gonna tuck in what this is is a dull base and then we have the chana chat so chana is
24:57chickpeas and the chart is like a spice in terms of the taste i'm like blown away i think you've
25:02smashed it the fact that there's chickpeas in between the layer of cheese and the base like when
25:07you bite into it is delicious i mean i've cleaned this plate i absolutely love this i really liked the
25:15pizza i thought it tasted great i'd definitely go and order this i want her to start delivering to
25:20my area if i was to host the dinner party i would definitely put that on there and i do feel like
25:24it would really bring class to my dinner party as well it's very classy i'm a bit of an old fart when
25:32it comes to this all right so let's have a look around next for dean you can come over to here you
25:38can see all the different types of units i like the qr closing nice class digital showroom demoed you can
25:45then come back into these rooms here where they actually give you an idea of what it's going to
25:49look like inside your home oh that's cool nice a chance to check in on the ad so guys with the
25:55advert i'm interested to hear how you got on yesterday yeah so obviously when we left the
26:01brainstorm we wanted to do a little bit more of an educational piece and the fact that you know air
26:05con does actually heat places up as well i am glad that we switched it back to the cooling main
26:10reason people come to us is for cooling in hindsight we probably should have just cracked on with that
26:14straight away yeah obviously there's a lot of information there so i think just keeping it
26:19quite basic air conditioning does cold air and then we can tell them about the benefits of it yeah
26:26but it sounds with they spent a lot of time making one video and then pivoted to something else
26:31so honestly i'm i'm not sure what to expect but i've faith in liam that you can edit a good video and
26:35move something strong for the pitch later mia i know how good you are with pitches so i'd love
26:40for you to help me out on this happy to and johnny if you could switch over to the video editing
26:46and i'd like to do a team swap um frederick you've done presentations before you're a public
26:50speaker would you mind switching with emma and if emma you go to the video editing team yes let's do it
26:55it good luck guys good luck good luck 9 00 a.m half of each team heads off to edit ads
27:05it's the biggest day of her life really this pitch and we can help by making this advert be a good
27:11one so let's go on with it let's smash it let's do it girls let's do it for the finalists my family's
27:16run a restaurant for 47 years i think this is a great way to start by starting off with you know
27:21your story it pulls on the emotions and the heartstrings yes sir preparations for the big pitch
27:29i've never actually pitched before i've never done any sort of public speaking apart from
27:32my speech at my wedding i know what you can do in a pitch and i know how good you are i need you
27:37to give me that information and make sure i'm that good you're so personable just make sure it doesn't
27:43come across too informal i don't think it's a massive issue on how it's said as long as it's confident
27:48lord sugar's investment isn't just for your benefit it's for him as well like you need to sell
27:53yourself and you'll do that so effortlessly and naturally you know you've worked your way from
27:57just an apprentice starting a business with two kids showing that struggle showing them kind of
28:02your vulnerability there i am the most passionate person when it comes to air conditioning this is my
28:07life i think that's a lovely way to finish it off and then you open the floor to questions and that's
28:11it right cool it's starting to feel really real yeah i've got one shot here there's a lot riding on it
28:18so i'm just grateful for the team that i've got they've given me some really good advice i get
28:23it i just gotta deliver it everything in here is already in your mind
28:31at the edit get the mystical on the phone and turn your house into a home it's all looking quite wooden
28:37and quite cringy to watch while liam's team add polish to their promo domestical perfect
28:44realizing her vision so we'll use this as our first starting clip can we crop it so that they're in
28:50the center of the frame a little bit please amber rose yes that's the one we'll probably use i think
28:57you could drop the beginning part of this drone shot and it could just go oh what a game um i'm gonna
29:03disagree i can't lie because it needs to set the scene of where they are now we'll go to the next
29:07scenes i just want to see the footage that we have please i'm right if we can can we slow down the
29:13tempo as i pick it up probably be better not to if i'm honest yeah i do think it could be slower pull
29:18there yeah i don't think we need a longer pull guys just trust me going into this editing session i
29:25knew i'd be taking lead anisa basically gave me free reigns to do it the girls are chiming in
29:31as much as they can but i do think that when it comes to something like this you just have to have a
29:35little bit of tunnel vision all right i'm happy with that who wants to do the voiceover i'm happy
29:40to do it yeah 2 p.m one mile alone in just two hours wow finalists will pitch their businesses to
29:55lord sugar it's getting real now guys this is what it's all come down to and leading industry experts
30:02pizza heart papa john's the big players are here when i first started the business no one really
30:08believed in it and now i'm pitching it to industry experts lord sugar it feels insane just can't
30:15stop thinking about the wife and kids you know how proud they're going to be of me you know it means
30:20so much to me and that means even more to them upstairs
30:25hello getting a taste of her pizza ad can i see it yes yeah yeah really excited for you to see it
30:34anisa have you ever wondered what could happen if your two favorite teams fuse together what a game
30:42wow incredible but i'm not gonna lie i'm starving right now should we order a takeaway i mean i'm team
30:48italian so i'm happy to order a pizza i'm more team indian so i would rather get a curry if only
30:54we could fuse the two together well we can have you heard of salt pizza no indian inspired pizza delivered
31:00straight to you
31:08i'm speechless
31:09the football stadium does feel random yeah no i completely appreciate the randomness of the
31:20football ground um but i think yeah ultimately we try to tie it in as much as possible
31:28across the hall we've done our best on the video should we take a look
31:31they say look man i'm alive the premiere of liam's promo what's that fan gonna do have you not
31:38got an air conditioning unit i've opened the windows i've got a cup of ice i don't know what else i
31:42can do well i've got an awesome recommendation for you they call domestical why didn't you give them
31:46a call definitely hi is that the rest of the call i need a quote come in there he is
31:55you need to call it throughout your home let me fix that for you whether you're hot or cold get
32:00domestical on the phone and turn your house into a home domestical i like it man i think it's good
32:07domestical you've covered all the points yeah i'm i'm really happy with that now it's just down to me
32:13i've got to bring this home and uh hopefully get my words out you just don't smash this
32:174pm doors open to some of the biggest names in british business including aircon experts and pizza
32:30professionals the name of my pizza is um pizza let me tell you about my background in the air
32:43conditioning industry first to pitch calm and confident anisa feel like in life anyone can
32:54have a dream but what you mean to do is work hard towards it i feel right now i'm so close
33:00and it would mean the world to me to secure that investment
33:06good evening ladies and gentlemen and pizza experts thank you all so much for coming tonight
33:12my brand is zao pizza my family have been running an indian restaurant in south london for the past 47
33:22years i guess you can say curry is in my blood but how about i let you try it so let's bring out the
33:28pizzas so my current my name features items for example the chicken tikka masala pizza butter chicken
33:36pizza chili paneer pizza you think of any of the chopped curries i put on a pizza oh god yeah and yesterday
33:46i actually developed a new pizza it has a dal based dough and the chickpeas on top it's very similar to
33:53chanachat which is a big indian street food this is very good i like to think as our pizza fixes an issue
34:02when you're having a takeaway and you want a curry or you want a pizza why not have both have a za pizza
34:09have you ever wondered what could happen if your two favorite teams fuse together i mean i'm team
34:14italian so i'm happy to order a pizza i'm more team indian so i'd rather get a curry if only we could fuse
34:21the two together we can have you heard of sa pizza indian inspired pizza delivered straight to you
34:29so right now my business is a dark kitchen what's great about dark kitchens it's a scalability aspect
34:36there are low overhead costs therefore more profit margins available and in terms of numbers with the
34:43quarter million pound investment i want to have 10 new dark kitchens in the next five years and i want
34:48to be the pioneer of indian style pizzas i now open the floor to any questions thank you uh i'm almed
34:54awadala chief operating officer for pizza huts have you thought about how do you accelerate and scale
35:00your concept because my brand is still new i think in this first stage it's very important that i have
35:06the control because that way when people try zaal pizza for the first time i can guarantee them a good
35:11quality and i can control that level of it i do want to franchise in the future but i think what's
35:17most important for the brand now is to develop a good reputation and have stand as a pioneer of indian
35:23style pizzas hi nisa i'm chef romi broadcaster i know this is a very crowded market how are you going
35:32to make sure you're creating more recipes that people come back to you the reason why a zaal pizza
35:37can do well is because are we behind it and i've constantly be thinking of new ideas and i know the
35:43consumer they want different things so we can have monthly specials seasonal specials we want to
35:47keep the consumers keep coming back and keeping having something different thank you so much thank
35:53you for all your questions and hopefully you see zaal pizza very soon thank you
36:12for lord sugar the model going forward is dark kitchens expert feedback my worry is how you get people to
36:20come to come to it is it the deliverers or the uber eats or what dark kitchens are a very hard place
36:25to build a brand like she's trying to create something that's really unique which is a massive
36:30massive plus in a crowded market but she's got to sell that brand she's got to sell that idea to
36:35people and that is hard to do through a third-party app i think it's a great concept but i'm not sure
36:40it's all that unique i think it's been done before and big brands have actually taken that main
36:44you think it's been done before i think it has papa john's has just released their their tandoori range
36:49sure you sure you didn't pinched it from that and how's it going it's it's one of our highest performing
36:56pizzas so there's clearly a demand for it
37:03next to take the stage dean
37:14thank you all for coming and welcome to my presentation
37:26i hope you all like the song that i chose
37:30i personally can relate to it because i am daddy cool
37:35i'm a proud dad of two beautiful children and they are the reason that i am here today
37:40i started off 15 years ago i was an apprentice getting sent to the shops for a glass hammer and a
37:48left-handed screwdriver i learned as much as i could because i always knew one day i'm going to have my
37:56own air conditioning company we went with the name domestical because we want to make it as clear as
38:01possible exactly what audience we are appealing to we want homeowners to know that how easy and quick
38:09they can have an air conditioning unit installed inside their home because i understand that when
38:14customers want air conditioning they want it there and then hi is that domestical i need a quote
38:20come in
38:21let me fix that for you whether you're hot or cold get the mystical on the phone and turn your house into a home
38:32domestical
38:34at the moment i'm currently working from home and it's not really suitable for being honest my wife hates
38:42that's it when i get a bulk order of air conditioning units delivered and she's got to drag them through the corridor
38:50so we've created a virtual showroom if we was to go through that you'll be meted by me
39:01waiting to answer any questions that you have about air conditioning
39:04and if we turn around this is our range of wall-mounted units with the qr code you can shine your phone on it
39:15and it literally puts the unit on the wall right there in the room so you can see what it looks like
39:21at home so guys the mystical it's the future thank you for listening
39:27it's got to go q a hi guys
39:41i'm back again um i do believe i forgot the q a
39:50mark dyer from dyakin hello mark great presentation thank you you talk about expanding your business
39:56yep there's a general skill shortage in the industry how will you recruit so at the moment mark we've
40:02we run an apprentice base sort of thing i'll get the engineers in young we train them we teach them
40:08we show them the ropes i pride myself for my work and i feel like i am the best at what i do and if i
40:15can teach them how to install air conditioning to my standards they'll go a long way dean um what i want
40:23is just my bedroom air conditioning how much for you lord sugar be free
40:36well then you won't be hired by me if you're giving things away giving things away for nothing
40:41so guys that's that's my presentation invest in air conditioning
41:00smashed it it was perfect
41:01i think the issue is the scalability of this business he thinks that he could double his business
41:10straight away because he's overloaded at the moment when you go into a home in the domestic market you're
41:16going to install one unit maybe two or three but it's not a repeat business that you would generate
41:20in the commercial sector yeah i mean i think that the market has a bit of potential in the sense that we
41:27do occasionally have heat waves uh occasionally occasionally uh and when we do people are you
41:34know finding it tough to sleep or whatever he's got a good product you know right now someone's hot
41:40exactly said they're hot they can't sleep they want to whack it on they want it tomorrow yeah i think
41:44there's something there pitch is over i'm so happy i was able to represent my business show my passion
41:53and i couldn't have asked for anything more i left it all out there on that stage so hopefully i've
41:58done enough to impress lord sugar tonight there's nothing more the candidates can do
42:05tomorrow the final showdown
42:08tomorrow
42:18you can go through to the boardroom now
42:38well um a spectacular evening last night uh very well presented i would say no no criticisms there
42:49apart from uh dean walking up and down the the the the stage i was getting giddy i thought i was
42:58watching i thought i was a wimbledon what was all that about i was nervous um i've never done anything
43:05like that and i thought i just it was the first time yeah anyway can i say anything you looked
43:10fantastic i loved your outfit beautiful i want to represent my bangleshi culture so i was happy i got
43:15the opportunity to wear a longer yes now we'll start with dean happy with your mob that came to assist you
43:23yeah i'm really proud of everyone everyone good in a hundred percent good so me and nadia and
43:29liam went off to make the tv advert is that right yeah yeah to me it started to sound and look like a
43:36dodgy adult film
43:40now liam i watched the tv advert
43:45here we go here we go i suggest do not try to do any acting don't take up acting no don't take up
43:52acting okay um so go on tell me about the uh television advert yeah whatever was in the
43:59brainstorm obviously dean was saying that people didn't really know that it does actually heat places
44:04up as well but obviously once we heard the name and the tagline we thought that it would be better
44:09obviously just put it to the cooling yeah obviously thank god you did absolutely um now dean the name
44:17domestical and then the tagline just remind me what it was said a tagline was instant cooling
44:22throughout your home we're not silly about making you chilly it's a good one um okay anisa
44:30yes simple question because you're in the pizza business did your team deliver yes
44:37i think they ordered a good job and i was really happy with them the name zal pizza tell me so i
44:44wanted to put a bit of my culture in the name and i wanted to create a brand that people would
44:48remember and it describes what the pizzas are about now you decided to make a new vegetarian uh
44:55pizza is that right yeah you've tasted that one i did yeah i i got the uh chicken one which was
45:00fantastic yeah me too it's gorgeous yeah i took two slices actually and half a line yeah so that's my
45:09number one pizza at the moment i'm very proud of it and i knew it'd be a big hit that one
45:14so amber rose malika and frederick you were sent off to do the tv advert right yeah i suggested we
45:22went to the football ground they'd done the fact that two things are fusing together
45:26and just imagining what would happen if your two favorite teams fused together i mean there was an
45:31advantage that um you know liam wasn't in it as well
45:36um yeah so um the colleagues of the two finalists what do you feel about dean for example
45:46i think dean is a fantastic bloke what you see is what you get with dean um he wears his heart on his
45:51sleeve you give it 100 the whole way throughout the process it's it's not smoke and mirrors with dean he's just
45:57he's a he's a top bloke i've loved every task work with you thank you man all these words mean so
46:02much to me i'm going to ask you people the same about anisa i think anisa has been the standout
46:07candidate in my opinion he said you're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit i think anisa
46:12has demonstrated that weekend and we put herself forward every bloody time exactly i have been
46:19with anisa from the beginning from day one we've worked together a lot and honestly she has just
46:25stood out every single week she's been incredible right i want to thank you very much indeed uh old
46:31candidates um not old candidates x x candidates for coming along and helping in this process so if you
46:40don't mind i'll i'll i'll ask you to uh leave now so thank you very much thank you very much
47:00so i've got spicy pizza versus aircon chili versus the chiller yeah no disrespect
47:10to you or indeed to you but profits of 20 of 30 000 pounds a year is of no interest to me i'm looking
47:20for big business i understand so anisa if you are the winner tell me how you're going to go forward
47:29so what i'm very proud about is my product i believe my pizzas taste great and i'm very confident of that
47:35i agree my numbers are not that big but with those numbers i based it by myself in terms of idea
47:41conception pizza with your investment with your advice i know i can make it into a big thing
47:47so how important are people like deliveroo and uber eats and all that to you they're crucial to the
47:53business as a dark kitchen you do rely on the delivery services what i've done the last few years is hone my
47:59uh operations so my average uh review number on uber eats is 4.7 on justy is 4.8 on delivery
48:07it's really high yeah so i've been consistently good okay um dean yes uh you've already started making
48:16money yeah yeah uh and your idea is is that um by doubling up the amount of vans you've got um we're
48:24gonna double our money is that right yeah pretty much so that's the next step for me if i buy a
48:29couple of vans and got more engineers i can deal with the workload that i've got at the moment i've
48:34been a supervisor for one of the biggest air conditioning companies in the uk and i've seen
48:40the operation i know how it works i had 24 blokes underneath me if i can get to that stage i can run
48:45it a lot more smoother and better than what they've done um and i know it's possible yeah so you're
48:50going to continue with the residential that's right market yeah not try to address offices and things
48:58like that yeah so at the moment 90 of my work is domestic i'll just prefer the domestic market
49:03because that's where i think the gap is hmm right well i have got a dilemma really um because you're
49:10both very credible both very very credible um i'm gonna ask you to step outside and i'm gonna have
49:18a final chat with uh baroness brady and uh tim thank you well a very very uh difficult situation i find
49:33myself in because they're two great candidates right so what do you think i like dean i think the
49:40issue for him is he doesn't know how to scale up this is where he needs you he's lacking that bit of
49:47confidence that the decisions he's making are the right decisions and i think you'll give him that push
49:53that he needs yeah i mean his business has got great potential so anisa listen anisa's a wonderful
50:01candidate she is bright really articulate and really clear about what she wants to create the
50:07challenge is always going to be is it big enough for you i think the difference between the two
50:12candidates is this dean's got a business you're investing in that business and helping him scale
50:18it up anisa yes she has a business it's tiny but you're really investing in her yeah
50:23could you turn the uh two finalists in please
50:40well um i've got a very tough decision to make as to which one of you is going to be my business partner
50:47um so anisa whilst you say that your recipe is unique to you um could be quite easy to copy i
50:56think no what makes it special is we're honed in to just indian style pizzas yeah for example if i
51:01went to pizza hut or domino's i wouldn't necessarily trust them in making authentic toppings with the money
51:07i would be able to develop my current kitchen to become a central hub and then develop other dark
51:12kitchens around it it's a very cost effective way of scaling and getting my pizzas out there to more
51:17people so what is in the dark kitchen um so with dark kitchen you only need one person there because
51:24the ingredients are all cooked beforehand by professional chefs you only need someone to
51:28assemble it it's a lot cheaper than making a brick and mortar store because you think of the space you
51:32need it's it's more than this desk so my investment could fund a cup of new dark kitchens is that right
51:39correct what do you do next how do you fund the fourth one or the fifth one of the sixth one
51:44because the profit margins are so high my goal is to have 10 within five years and i think that's
51:49very reachable um there are bigger brands for doing it even quicker than that what's your profit
51:54potential in five years time with 10 all singing and all dancing so we had around half a million pounds
52:01profit with the 10. sounds good but it's got to be done it's got to be uh achieved now dean according
52:09to your figures your next set of accounts is going to show half a million yeah before we come into
52:13this process i had it done and it showed 11 months was 461. right and your guesstimate of profit on that
52:19it's about 160. right okay what are you going to do from the get-go day one i've given you the money
52:26you're going to get a smaller warehouse or some kind so i'd get a base even if it's just an office a
52:31small office that's going to cost a bit of money yeah yeah and then next two more vans two more vans and
52:38two more engineers two more apprentices are you ever going to be in a position where you
52:44uh are not personally driving a van around yeah so this is what the investment's for it's going to
52:49give me the opportunity to come back off the tools and literally go to the jobs quote them and just run
52:54the operation a lot more smoother right you're a bright lad you've listened to uh anisa in your opinion
53:01yeah why is your business about proposition to me than hers because mine's future-proof we're
53:07getting hotter summers um people are trying to save money on their bills it's the way the industry's
53:12going it's getting busier and busier my business has grown organically from the start and you've
53:17seen what i can do with two people can you imagine what i can do if i had 24 people
53:21so anisa there's quite a big of a mountain to climb for you uh in the sense that he says give
53:28me two new vans and i'll get a couple of new blokes and then i'll double my turnover right that's what
53:33he says you say that um i'm going to open a dark kitchen it's not going to be as quick but with
53:40lord sugar with your advice with your guidance this has the opportunity to be big with my business it
53:45is unique special and stands out in the market what's really making you special in the ac market
53:51because i am the best we get a lot of work from checkered trade trust trade all them sites and we've
53:56got a 9.96 rating out of 250 reviews it comes up the top rated in my area and then the top
54:03breaking pizza in my area i know but this is why i'm trying to say i am the best at what i do so
54:09i've proven it like it's there it's in black and white i've got a horse for it i've also got a horse for
54:20anisa um give me your kind of final pitch to me and why i should choose you as my business partner
54:30lord sugar throughout this process i've proven myself a strong leader i've consistently put my
54:34neck on the line i am an all-rounder candidate i'm very confident my abilities in business and i'm
54:40very confident in my product i do generally believe indian-style pizzas is the future of the food
54:44business through dark kitchens the costs are low and the profit margins are high the scalability is
54:50there and i genuinely believe that this is going to be the next big thing
54:55same question to you dean why why should you be my business partner i know my industry like the back
55:01of my hand i've got a good reputation i've got customers waiting for us to install there literally
55:07on a time they can get um yeah so this is another thing i'm not good at it's things like this um
55:14um take your time take your time yeah sorry all right um so yeah i'm a very loyal and honest person
55:27you what you see with me is what you get and i'll just give it my all everything with the investment
55:32i'll be able to take the next steps when needed to get to where i want to be right well look
55:39this is the way i see it um dean yeah through the process you've you've been quite good there's been
55:48a few rocky moments where you remained in it by the skin of your teeth but do i have confidence in
55:56the residential market buying more and more air conditioning and laying out 1500 to 2000 pounds
56:05and all that stuff that's the big that is the big issue you know it's a lot of money um as opposed
56:11to food where everybody's got to eat um and a 10 quid 12 pound 11 pound pizza is affordable by most
56:21people um so that's where i am at the moment um and he said you always put yourself forward
56:30to be the leader sometimes you've led successfully other times you haven't um i'm only interested in
56:40big turnover big profits i'm not interested in peanuts so
56:46giving it deep consideration i'm gonna say that
57:08dean you're gonna be my business partner thank you let's you go honestly you don't understand what
57:15this means to me and yeah thank you man congratulations congratulations well done dean
57:29this is good carry on this is what we've signed up for you know this is what we've worked so odd for
57:37yeah thank you very much well done off you go i'll see you soon
57:57i can't believe i've just won the apprentice this is going to mean the world to me and my family my kids
58:03are going to be over the moon i'm sure they're going to be the most popular kids in school um yeah i
58:09can't wait to tell them can't wait to get home to them 18 candidates one investment for now lord sugar's
58:19search is over bravo dean well i think that deserves a debrief the two finalists will be joining tom allen for
58:29you're hired here on bbc one next and big business makes great drama battling between life and the
