00:11The Blue Lightning Aquatic Swimmer started swimming in 2023 and is looking forward to the event.
00:18I'm quite excited. I'm feeling very prepared. I trust that my coaches' breakouts and everything will have me prepared to win a gold medal.
00:26All right. In terms of your preparation, how have you been preparing for this event?
00:33Well, we do open waters on Sunday and our coaches have been upping the distance in the pool.
00:38Okay. Why did you choose open water as opposed to pool swimming?
00:43Well, I just, I don't know. I like open water more. I find it's, I find the atmosphere is less tense.
00:51Holly Young Swimmer believes a strong mental game will set her apart from her competitors.
00:59Probably just the mental aspect of it. When you get tired, certain things can get in your head really easily.
01:05So that may affect your race. So it's just kind of keep a clear mind, keep calm and rely on your training.
01:11All right. Listen closely as the Trinidad and Tobago Squats Association
01:14We'll see you next time.
