As, The world's wildest diving competition is heading to paradise, as Tobago gets set to host the Døds Diving World Championship this Saturday, in Charlotteville.
For the first time ever, the global event is leaving its home in Norway and making a splash in the Caribbean.

00:20This crazy phenomenon coming from Europe in the U.S. is now coming to Charlottesville. So this event will be broadcasted to 60 countries and we have all the best divers in the world attending and it's going to be one huge party.
00:34First time, the event would be featured outside of Norway. The name, Dodds, meaning death in Norwegian, highlights the daring and high-risk nature of the sport. Despite its dramatic name, Dodds Diving focuses on skill, precision, and technique rather than recklessness.
00:56It's a two-hour competition. So you have 30 divers competing for the world championship, both on the individual side and on the team side. So you'll see approximately 40 jumps coming from a 12-meter platform, total sending it, making a joyful experience for all the spectators.
01:14Why did your organization choose Tobago?
01:17We actually met Tobago at the host city conference in London, at Teams London, and we had such a good time together. So this became just the logic thing.

01:29Eight countries from around the world would be participating, inclusive of France, Spain, the United States, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and New Zealand.
