00:00Sumo Liam Carrington has one major objective for the Caryfta Games set to
00:04begin on April 19th to make Trinidad and Tobago proud. He will be competing in
00:09eight individual events inclusive of the freestyle, backstroke and individual
00:14medley. His plan is to meddle in all. Being home this year especially want to
00:19represent we want to win this year stop the streak for Bahamas I think they're
00:23going for like the seventh so we want to stop that and I just want to represent
00:27Trinidad to my first potential. So how has training been going for the 17 year old?
00:33Trainings been really well recently just getting prepared for the meet doing my
00:40sets and making sure I do everything properly before and be prepared for the
00:44meet itself. What do you think is gonna make the difference for you in this
00:47competition? I think this this year especially we have a really good
00:53coaching staff going towards the meet and I think the persons selected for the
00:58team I think we could all come together and score a lot of points so that we do
01:03well at the meet to score points and win overall. Carrington's preparations have
01:08been falling into place after he put in a solid performance at the TYL Pro
01:13Swim Series in the USA where he captured a few medals. He believes home advantage
01:17will also boost his chances at the upcoming meet. I think home advantage
01:22would definitely help us with the support and so on with everyone coming
01:28out just well I could say for my family that my family will be there and that
01:33will help me a lot. Apart from making his country proud Carrington is also hoping
01:37to drop times establish more personal bests and qualify for other
01:41international meets like the World Juniors and World Aquatics Championships.
