00:37signaling its intention not just to embrace emerging technology but to help influence how
00:45it is developed and used speaking with wider region the first permanent representative and
00:51consul general of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas to Jamaica ambassador Alvetta Knight said it is
00:57vital that small island developing states help shape the conversation from the very beginning
01:03AI for us at the beginning of the discussion is important for us to be a part of the head
01:10and not
01:11the middle not the tail not the feet it's vitally it's our existence our ability to sustain ourselves
01:17and have a level of independence we must and we have to be steady and firm with the the concept
