00:00This gives us an opportunity as an island to continue to cement that
00:05education is more than just what happens in the classroom. In fact, a whole lot of
00:12our education comes from what happens outside of the classroom. And of course
00:19it's about how communities can impact schools and vice versa. It's an
00:24opportunity for schools in the area to bring the qualified people who are not
00:29on your staff into the school and to assist. This facility was commissioned in
00:362015 at a cost of over 19 million dollars. Mr. Augustine said the facility
00:42aids in the promotion of more healthy society and a reduction in lifestyle
00:47diseases. This is also about engendering a healthy population so that we can have
00:55less stresses on our health care system, less people with lifestyle diseases, so
01:05ensure that all of the healthy and tasty harvest foods that we eat, rich in
01:14coconut juice and so on, that you come and find some time to work that out.
01:20Education Secretary Zerisha Hackett said the reopening of the facility
01:24demonstrates no child is left behind. Students, this facility offers you a
01:31unique and invaluable resource that goes far beyond the classroom. It is a space
01:38where we can develop your critical skills such as swimming and water safety
01:44while also learning the discipline and the focus that is required in
01:50competitive sports and physical fitness. These lessons will definitely serve you
01:56well in every aspect of your lives. Elizabeth Williams, TV6 News.
