Well Trinidad and Tobago's Distance Runners dominated the Barbados Marathon on the weekend. Nicholas Romany was the standout athlete as he won the Mile and the 10K distances. Meantime, the likes of Tafari Waldron, Collin Pereira, Donnel Francis and Christopher Mitchell also got on the podium.

00:00Starting with the longest distance, the Farley Hill Marathon. Alex Sikisa won his
00:04fourth title in a time of 2 minutes 29.02 seconds. Colin Pereira was
00:10cruising in second spot in a time of 2 hours 45.27 seconds while
00:14Christopher Mitchell grabbed a third 2 hours 56.09 seconds. Following on
00:19from this performance, they've both been selected to represent Trinidad and
00:23Tobago at the Caracas Marathon in Venezuela on February 16th 2025.
00:28Meantime, Nicholas Romany had a good outcome once again. He won both the PWC
00:33Fun One Mile and the 10k. He won the one mile race in 4 minutes 29 seconds.
00:39Tafari Wardron taking second spot in 4 minutes 34 and Donald Francis
00:44bumped Alex Sikisa out of the medals with a time of 4 minutes 34 seconds.

01:06In the 10k, last mile. Last mile, who would win? Sikisa, Romany and Tafari. Let's see, who would win the battle?
01:19Well, Romany won in 32 minutes 16 seconds, 2 seconds ahead of Alex Sikisa.
01:29Tafari Wardron had to settle for third in 32 minutes 24 seconds and over on
01:35the ladies side, Samantha Shukla finished in second spot in a time of 42
01:39minutes 29 seconds. Fania Felix of France won in 38 minutes 53 seconds.
01:46Romany did not contest the 5k but Colombian Oscar Javier upset both
01:51Francis and Christopher Michel who took second and third respectively.
01:55The winning time was 15 minutes 35 seconds. Second and third finished in 59.59
02:01seconds and 16 minutes 4 seconds. Javier came back again to edge Wardron in
02:07the half marathon as well. Wardron completing the course in 1 hour 13
02:11minutes 33 seconds. Francis took third, three minutes behind Romany who settled
