Distance runner Donnell Phillip.. returned to his winning ways.. competing at the Police 6K on Sunday. The race.. started at City Hall in Port of Spain, to Queen's Park Savannah and back. Francis got the better of a tough field, which included the likes of rising distance runner Darius Harding.. and the Defence Force duo of Christopher Mithchell and Keron Ali.

00:04compete over a six-kilometer distance. The race started at City Hall, up Duke
00:08Street, around the Queen's Park Savannah and down Frederick Street before
00:12returning to the starting point. Donald Francis got the better of the
00:16Defence Force men Christopher Mitchell and Kiran Ali. He won in a time of 18
00:20minutes 43 seconds. Mitchell completed it in 18 minutes 56 seconds and Ali 19
00:27minutes 19 seconds. Francis known for pouring his all into races poke after
00:32the run.
00:34It might be getting faster, you know. The aim right now is working my way to that Commonwealth standard for 2026, you know, just being on that team.
00:42So right now, for 2025, the goal is to just continue progressing, getting stronger and doing my best to get to that standard.
00:51What is the Commonwealth standard? That's 1426 in the 5k.

01:10other. You know, it's always a tough battle when you have fierce competitors.

01:25finish in a time of 25 minutes and 13 seconds. Completion was the objective for
