00:09We've seen an interesting weather formation. There's this little low pressure spiral from
00:13east to west across the UK through Sunday night into Monday morning, providing some
00:17quite heavy showers in places down towards the southwest. They'll continue to pivot away from
00:22Devon and Cornwall, but some gusty winds here. And then the showers over northeastern England
00:28spreading into parts of southern Scotland. One or two showers elsewhere into south Wales,
00:32maybe the southernmost parts of northern Ireland. But many places across England, Wales staying dry
00:38and northern Ireland too. And certainly across northern Scotland, that's where we've got the
00:42lion's share of the afternoon sunshine. May brighten up in a few other places, but generally quite
00:47cloudy and a bit cooler than it has been for most of October. These temperatures fairly close to the
00:52average though, most places creeping into the teens. Some, as I say, afternoon sunshine across
00:57northern Scotland. Here, temperatures more likely 11 or 12 Celsius. We'll see the cloud thickening
01:02further into eastern Scotland during this evening and eastern parts of England seeing some showery
01:07rain and then eyes down to the south as this kind of finger of rain spreads its way northwards into
01:12the Midlands, southern England and parts of Wales. Welcome rain, of course, particularly across the
01:17south where it's still been very dry through much of autumn. Some clear skies overnight across
01:23northern Ireland will allow the temperatures to fall here. Won't be as cold across Scotland
01:26as it was through last night. But in northern Ireland, temperatures really dipping down,
01:32far off freezing in some rural spots perhaps. But elsewhere further south, temperatures holding up
01:36with the cloud and the rain. But some clearer skies across maybe down towards Pembrokeshire and
01:42Cornwall may allow for a chilly but sunny start here. For many though, it's a grey start certainly across
01:46much of England, Wales and Scotland with outbreaks of rain. Some of this rain could be heavy. The brighter
01:51colours there across southern England spreading into parts of Wales, pivoting up through the
01:55Midlands towards northern England later in the day. As I said, it's a bit of a messy one. There'll
02:00be some sunny skies continuing for the west of Northern Ireland, perhaps parts of South Wales,
02:05southwest England, maybe some showers coming back towards the Isles of Scilly later. Brisk breeze
02:10bringing a cool feel on the east coast of Scotland for sure, but generally dry and bright here for
02:16most of the day. Temperature wise, well, certainly under the rain, it's going to feel pretty cool.
02:2112, 13 Celsius at best with some brightness in the southwest. We might squeak into the mid-teens,
02:27at least for a time. During Tuesday evening and overnight, that zone of rain continues to push
02:32its way into southern parts of Scotland, so turning quite wet here. So the heavy rain over northeast
02:37England. And then we're looking down to the southwest as the winds start to pick up. Developing
02:41area of low pressure, some uncertainty about the track and intensity of this, but the ice bars pinched
02:46together. Could turn quite windy for a while on Wednesday across the south, as well as that low
02:51bringing some rain. And then developments here spinning up out in the Atlantic through Thursday
02:57night. We need to watch this low, bringing again some heavy rain as it sweeps across the south,
03:01but also look at those ice bars getting really close together. Potentially some strong winds as well.
