00:04The first epistle of St. John chapter 1 verses 8 and 9
00:12If we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
00:19But if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us
00:26from all unrighteousness.
00:31Dearly beloved brethren, the scripture moves us in sundry places to acknowledge and confess our manifold sins and wickedness.
00:42But that we should not disassemble nor clave them before the face of almighty God our heavenly Father.
00:51But confess them with a humble, lowly, penitent and obedient heart to the end that we may obtain forgiveness of
01:02the same by his infinite goodness and mercy.
01:07And although we ought at all times humbly to acknowledge our sins before God, yet ought we chiefly so to
01:15do when we assemble and meet together to render thanks for the great benefits we have received at his hands.
01:23To set forth his most worthy praise, to hear his most holy word, and to ask those things which are
01:32requisite and necessary, as well for the body as the soul.
01:39Wherefore I pray and beseech you, as many as are here present, to accompany me with a pure heart and
01:47humble voice to the throne of the heavenly grace, saying after me.
01:55Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep.
02:04We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
02:11We have offended against thy holy laws.
02:16We have left undone those things which we ought to have done.
02:21And we have done those things we ought not to have done.
02:25And there is no health in us.
02:29But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders.
02:35Spare thou them, O God, who confess their faults.
02:39Restore thou those who are penitent,
02:43according to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord.
02:50And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life.
02:59To the glory of thy holy name.
03:03Amen.
03:06Almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who desireth not the death of a sinner,
03:13but rather that he turn from his wickedness and live,
03:18and has given power and commandment to his ministers to declare and pronounce to his people,
03:24being penitent, the absolution and remission of their sins.
03:32He pardoneth and absolve it all who truly repent and unfainly believe his holy gospel.
03:43Wherefore, let us beseech him to grant us true repentance and his holy spirit,
03:49that those things may please him which we do at this present,
03:54and that the rest of our life hereafter may be pure and holy,
03:58so that at the last we may come to his eternal joy.
04:03Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
04:08Amen.
04:12Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
04:16Thy kingdom come.
04:18Thy will be done as it is in heaven.
04:22Give us this day our daily bread,
04:25and forgive us our trespasses,
04:27as we forgive them that trespass against us.
04:32And lead us not into temptation,
04:34but deliver us from evil,
04:36for thine is the kingdom,
04:38the power and the glory,
04:40for ever and ever.
04:42Amen.
04:46O Lord, open our lips,
04:49and our mouth shall show forth thy praise.
04:55O God, make speed to save us.
04:59O Lord, make haste to help us.
05:05Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost,
05:09as it was in the beginning,
05:12is now, and ever shall be,
05:14world without end.
05:17Amen.
05:20Praise ye the Lord.
05:23The Lord's name be praised.
05:28O come, let us sing unto the Lord,
05:31and let us heartily rejoice
05:32in the strength of our salvation.
05:36Let us come before his presence
05:38with thanksgiving,
05:40and show ourselves glad in him with psalms.
05:44For the Lord is a great God,
05:46and a great King above all gods.
05:50In his hand are all the corners of the earth,
05:53and the strength of the hills is his also.
05:57The sea is his, and he made it,
05:59and his hands prepared the dry land.
06:03O come, let us worship and hold home,
06:06and kneel before the Lord, our Maker.
06:10For he is the Lord, our God,
06:13and we are the people of his pasture,
06:15and the sheep of his hand.
06:19Today, if you will hear his voice,
06:22harden not your hearts,
06:24as in the provocation,
06:25and as in the day of temptation
06:28in the wilderness.
06:30When our fathers tempted us,
06:33proved us, and saw our works,
06:37forty years long,
06:38I was grieved with this generation,
06:40and said,
06:41it is a people that do err in their hearts,
06:44and they have not known my ways.
06:48Unto whom I swore in my wrath,
06:50that they should not enter into my rest.
06:55Glory be to the Father,
06:57and to the Son,
06:58and to the Holy Ghost,
06:59as it was in the beginning,
07:01is now, and ever shall be,
07:04world without end.
07:06Amen.
07:14Psalm 90
07:17Lord, thou hast been our refuge,
07:19from one generation to another.
07:23Before the mountains were brought forth,
07:25or ever the earth and the world were made,
07:28thou art God,
07:29from everlasting,
07:30and world without end.
07:33Thou turnest man to destruction.
07:36Again thou sayest,
07:37Come again,
07:39ye children of men.
07:42For a thousand years
07:43in thy sight
07:44are but as yesterday,
07:46seeing that is past
07:48as a watch in the night.
07:51As soon as thou scatterest them
07:53that even are at a sleep,
07:55and fade away suddenly
07:57like the grass,
07:59in the morning it is green
08:00and groweth up,
08:02but in the evening
08:03it is cut down,
08:04dried up,
08:04and withered.
08:07For we consume away
08:08in thy displeasure,
08:09and are afraid
08:11at thy wrathful indignation.
08:13Thou hast set
08:14our misdeeds before thee,
08:16and our secret sins
08:17in the light
08:18of thy countenance.
08:20For when thou art angry,
08:22all our days are gone.
08:24We bring our years to an end,
08:26as it were a tale
08:27that is told.
08:30The days of our age
08:31are three score years and ten,
08:34and though men
08:35be so strong
08:36that they come
08:37to four score years,
08:38yet is there strength then
08:40but labour and sorrow,
08:42so soon passeth it away,
08:44and we are gone.
08:47But who regardeth
08:48the power of thy wrath,
08:49for even thereafter
08:51as a man feareth,
08:52so is thy displeasure.
08:55So teach us to number
08:57our days,
08:58that we may apply
08:59our hearts
09:00unto wisdom.
09:02Turn thee again,
09:04O Lord,
09:04at the last,
09:05and be gracious
09:06unto thy servants.
09:08O satisfy us
09:09with thy mercy
09:10and thy sin.
09:12So shall we rejoice
09:14and be glad
09:14of all the days
09:15of our life.
09:18Comfort us again
09:19now and after
09:20that time
09:21thou hast plagued us,
09:22and for the years
09:24wherein we have
09:25suffered adversity.
09:27Show thy servants
09:29thy work
09:29and their children
09:31their glory.
09:33And the glorious
09:34majesty of the Lord
09:36our God
09:36be upon us.
09:38Prosper thou
09:39the work
09:40of our hands
09:40upon us,
09:41and prosper thou
09:43our handiwork.
09:45Glory be to the Father,
09:47and to the Son,
09:48and to the Holy Ghost,
09:50as it was
09:51in the beginning,
09:52is now,
09:53and ever shall be,
09:55world without end.
09:57Amen.
10:00Psalm 91
10:04Whoso dwelleth
10:05under the defence
10:06of the Most High
10:07shall abide
10:08under the shadow
10:09of the Almighty.
10:12I will say
10:13unto the Lord,
10:14Thou art my hope
10:15and my stronghold.
10:17My God,
10:18in Him
10:18will I trust.
10:20For He
10:21shall deliver thee
10:22from the snare
10:23of the hunter,
10:24and from the noisome
10:25pestilence.
10:27He shall defend thee
10:29under His wings,
10:30and thou shalt be safe
10:31under His feathers.
10:33His faithfulness
10:34and truth
10:35shall be
10:36thy shield
10:37and buckler.
10:39Thou shalt not
10:40be afraid
10:41for any terror
10:42by night,
10:43nor for the arrow
10:44that flyeth
10:45by day,
10:47for the pestilence
10:48that walketh
10:49in darkness,
10:50nor for the sickness
10:52that destroyeth
10:53in the new day.
10:55A thousand
10:56shall fall
10:56beside thee,
10:57and ten thousand
10:58at thy right hand,
10:59but it shall not
11:01come nigh thee.
11:03Yea,
11:04with thine eyes
11:05thou shalt behold,
11:07and see the reward
11:08of the ungodly.
11:10For thou,
11:11Lord,
11:11art my hope,
11:12thou hast set
11:13thine house of defence
11:14very high.
11:16There shall be
11:17no evil
11:18happen unto thee,
11:19neither shall any
11:20plague come nigh
11:22thy dwelling.
11:23For he shall
11:24give his angels
11:25charge over thee,
11:26to keep thee
11:28in all thy ways.
11:30They shall bear thee
11:31in their hands,
11:32that thou hurt
11:33not thy foot
11:34against a stone.
11:36Thou shalt go
11:37upon the lion
11:38and the adder,
11:39the young lion
11:41and the dragon
11:42shalt thou tread
11:43under thy feet.
11:45Because he hath set
11:46his love upon me,
11:48therefore I will
11:49deliver him.
11:50I will set him up,
11:52because he hath
11:53known my name.
11:55He shall call upon me,
11:57and I will hear him.
11:59Yea,
11:59I am with him
12:00in trouble.
12:01I will deliver him,
12:02and bring him
12:03to honour.
12:05With long life
12:06I will satisfy him,
12:08and show him
12:09my salvation.
12:12Glory be to the Father,
12:14and to the Son,
12:15and to the Holy Ghost,
12:17as it was in the beginning,
12:19is now,
12:20and ever shall be,
12:21world without end.
12:23Amen.
12:27Psalm 92
12:31It is a good thing
12:32to give thanks
12:33unto the Lord,
12:34and to sing praises
12:35unto thy name,
12:37O Most Highest,
12:39to tell of thy lovingkindness
12:41early in the morning,
12:42and of thy truth
12:43in the night season,
12:46upon an instrument
12:47of ten strings,
12:48and upon the lute,
12:49upon a loud instrument,
12:51and upon the harp.
12:53For thou, Lord,
12:55hast made me glad
12:56through thy works,
12:57and I will rejoice
12:58in giving praise
12:59for the operations
13:00of thy hands.
13:03O Lord,
13:04how glorious
13:04are thy works,
13:06thy thoughts
13:07are very deep.
13:10An unwise man
13:11does not well
13:12consider this,
13:13and a fool
13:14does not understand it.
13:16When the ungodly
13:18are green as the grass,
13:19and when all the workers
13:20of wickedness
13:21do flourish,
13:22then shall they
13:23be destroyed for ever.
13:25But thou, Lord,
13:26art the Most Highest
13:27for evermore.
13:29For lo,
13:30thine enemies,
13:31O Lord,
13:32lo,
13:32thine enemies
13:33shall perish,
13:34and all the workers
13:35of wickedness
13:36shall be destroyed.
13:39But mine horn
13:40shall be exalted
13:41like the horn
13:42of an unicorn,
13:44for I am anointed
13:45with fresh oil.
13:48Mine eye
13:49shall also see
13:50his lust
13:51of mine enemies,
13:52and mine ear
13:54shall hear
13:54his desire
13:55of the wicked
13:56that arise up
13:57against me.
13:59The righteous
14:00shall flourish
14:01like a palm tree,
14:03and shall spread abroad
14:04like a cedar
14:05in livernus.
14:08Such
14:08are planted
14:09in the house
14:10of the Lord,
14:11and shall flourish
14:12in the courts
14:13of the house
14:14of our God.
14:15They also
14:16shall bring forth
14:17more fruit
14:18in their age,
14:19and shall be fat
14:20and well-liked,
14:21that they may show
14:23how true
14:24the Lord
14:24my strength is,
14:26and that there is
14:27no unrighteousness
14:28in me.
14:30Glory be to the Father,
14:31and to the Son,
14:32and to the Holy Ghost,
14:34as it was
14:35in the beginning,
14:36is now,
14:37and ever shall be,
14:39world without gain.
14:41Amen.
14:45The Prophet Isaiah
14:46Chapter 55
14:49Hey,
14:50come,
14:51everyone who thirsts
14:52to the waters.
14:53Come,
14:54he who has no money,
14:55buy,
14:56eat.
14:57Yes,
14:57come,
14:58buy wine and milk,
14:59without money
15:00and without price.
15:02Why do you spend money
15:03for that
15:04which is not bread,
15:05and your labour
15:06for that
15:07which does not satisfy?
15:10Listen,
15:10diligent to me,
15:11and eat
15:11that which is good,
15:13and let your soul
15:14delight itself
15:15in richness.
15:16Turn your ear
15:17and come to me,
15:19here,
15:19and your soul
15:20will live.
15:21I will make
15:22an everlasting covenant
15:23with you,
15:24even the sure mercies
15:25of David.
15:27Behold,
15:28I have given him
15:28for a witness
15:29to the peoples,
15:30a leader and commander
15:32to the peoples.
15:34Behold,
15:35you shall call
15:35a nation
15:36that you don't know,
15:37and a nation
15:38that didn't know you
15:39shall run to you,
15:40because of Yahweh,
15:42your God,
15:42and for the Holy One
15:43of Israel,
15:44for he has glorified you.
15:47Seek Yahweh
15:48while he may be found.
15:50Call on him
15:51while he is near.
15:53Let the wicked
15:54forsake his way
15:55and the unrighteous man
15:56his thoughts.
15:58Let him return
15:59to Yahweh,
16:00and he will have mercy
16:01on him,
16:02and to our Lord,
16:04for he will freely pardon.
16:07For my thoughts
16:08are not your thoughts,
16:09and your ways
16:11are not my ways,
16:12says Yahweh.
16:13For as the heavens
16:14are higher than the earth,
16:16so my ways
16:17are higher than your ways,
16:19and my thoughts
16:20than your thoughts.
16:22For as the rain
16:23comes down
16:24and the snow
16:25from the sky,
16:26and doesn't return there,
16:28but waters the earth
16:29and makes it grow
16:30and bud,
16:31giving seed to the sower
16:33and bread to the eater.
16:35So is my word
16:36that goes out
16:37from my mouth.
16:38It will not return
16:39to me void,
16:41but it will accomplish
16:42that which I please,
16:44and it will prosper
16:45in the thing
16:46I sent it to do.
16:48For you shall go out
16:49with joy
16:50and be led out
16:51with peace.
16:52The mountains
16:53and the hills
16:54will break out
16:55before you
16:55into singing,
16:57and all the trees
16:58of the fields
16:59will clap their hands.
17:01Instead of the thorn,
17:03the cypress tree
17:04will come up,
17:05and instead of the brer,
17:07the myrtle
17:07will come up,
17:08and it will make
17:09a name for Yahweh,
17:11for an everlasting sign
17:12that will not
17:13be cut off.
17:16This is the word
17:17of the Lord.
17:19Thanks be to God.
17:24We praise thee, O God.
17:27We acknowledge thee
17:28to be the Lord.
17:30All the earth
17:31does worship thee,
17:32the Father everlasting.
17:35To thee,
17:36all angels
17:37cry aloud,
17:38the heavens
17:39and all the powers
17:40therein.
17:42To thee,
17:43terebin and seraphim
17:45continually do cry,
17:47holy,
17:48holy,
17:49holy,
17:49Lord God of Sabael,
17:52heaven and earth
17:53are full
17:54of the majesty
17:55of thy glory.
17:58The glorious company
17:59of the apostles,
18:01praise thee.
18:02The goodly fellowship
18:04of the prophets,
18:05praise thee.
18:06The noble army
18:08of martyrs,
18:09praise thee.
18:11The holy church
18:12throughout all the world
18:13does acknowledge thee.
18:15the Father
18:16of an infinite majesty,
18:18thine honourable,
18:20true and only Son,
18:23also the Holy Ghost,
18:25the Comforter.
18:26Thou art the King
18:27of glory,
18:28O Christ.
18:29Thou art the everlasting
18:31Son of the Father.
18:35When thou tookest upon thee
18:36to deliver man,
18:38thou didst not abel
18:39the virgin's womb.
18:42For thou hast overcome
18:43the sharpness of death,
18:44thou didst open
18:46the kingdom of heaven
18:47to all believers.
18:51Thou sittest
18:52at the right hand of God
18:53in the glory
18:54of the Father.
18:56We believe
18:57that thou shalt come
18:58to be our judge.
19:01We therefore pray thee,
19:03help thy servants,
19:04whom thou hast redeemed
19:06with thy precious blood.
19:08Make them to be numbered
19:09with thy sides
19:10in glory everlasting.
19:14O Lord,
19:15save thy people
19:16and bless
19:17thine heritage.
19:19Govern them
19:20and lift them up
19:21for ever.
19:23Day by day
19:24we magnify thee,
19:26and we worship thy name
19:28ever, world without end.
19:31Thou save, O Lord,
19:33to keep us this day
19:34without sin.
19:36Lord,
19:37have mercy upon us,
19:38have mercy upon us.
19:41Lord,
19:42let thy mercy
19:42enlighten upon us,
19:44as our trust
19:45is in thee.
19:47O Lord,
19:48in thee have I trusted,
19:49let me never be
19:51confounded.
19:53Glory be to the Father,
19:55and to the Son,
19:56and to the Holy Spirit,
19:57as it was in the beginning,
20:00is now,
20:01and ever shall be,
20:02world without end.
20:04Amen.
20:10The first epistle
20:12to the Thessalonians,
20:14chapter 3.
20:17Therefore,
20:18when we couldn't stand it
20:19any longer,
20:20we thought it good
20:22to be left behind
20:23at Athens alone,
20:25and sent Timothy,
20:26our brother,
20:27and God's servant,
20:28in the good news of Christ,
20:29to establish you,
20:31comforting you
20:32concerning your faith,
20:33that no one be moved
20:35by these afflictions.
20:37For you know
20:38that we are appointed
20:39to this task.
20:41Most certainly,
20:42when we were with you,
20:43we told you beforehand
20:44that we are to suffer
20:46affliction,
20:47even as it happened.
20:49And you know.
20:50For this cause,
20:52I also,
20:52when I couldn't stand it
20:53any longer,
20:54sent,
20:55that I might know
20:56your faith,
20:57for fear
20:58that by any means
20:59the tempter
20:59had tempted you,
21:01and our labour
21:02would have been in vain.
21:06But when Timothy
21:07came just now
21:08to us from you,
21:09bringing good news
21:10of your faith
21:11and love,
21:12that you have
21:13good memories
21:14of us always,
21:15longing to see us,
21:17even as we also
21:18long to see you.
21:20For this cause,
21:22brothers,
21:22we were comforted
21:23over you
21:24in all our distress
21:25and affliction
21:26through your faith.
21:28For now we live
21:29if you stand fast
21:30in the Lord.
21:32For what thanksgiving
21:33can we render again
21:34to God for you,
21:35for all the joy
21:37which we enjoy
21:39for your sakes
21:40before God,
21:42night and day
21:43praying exceedingly
21:44that we may see
21:45your faces
21:46and may perfect
21:48that which is lacking
21:49in your faith.
21:51Now may our God
21:53and Father himself,
21:54together with our Lord
21:56Jesus Christ,
21:57direct our way
21:58to you.
21:59And the Lord
22:00make you to increase
22:01and abound in love
22:02one toward another
22:04and toward all men,
22:06even as we also
22:08do toward you,
22:10so that he might
22:11establish your hearts
22:12blameless
22:13in holiness
22:14before our God
22:15and Father
22:16at the coming
22:17of our Lord Jesus
22:18with all his saints.
22:21This is the word
22:23of the Lord.
22:24Thanks be to God.
22:33Blessed be the Lord
22:34God of Israel,
22:36for he hath visited
22:37and redeemed
22:38his people
22:40and hath raised up
22:41a mighty salvation
22:42for us
22:43in the house
22:44of his servant David,
22:47as he spake
22:48by the mouth
22:48of his holy prophets,
22:50which have since been
22:51since the world began,
22:53that we should be saved
22:55from our enemies
22:56and from the hand
22:57of all that hate us,
22:59to perform
23:00the mercy promised
23:02to our forefathers
23:03and to remember
23:05his holy covenant,
23:07to perform the oath
23:08which he swore
23:09to our forefather Abraham
23:11that he would give us,
23:13that would be delivered
23:14out of the hand
23:16of our enemies,
23:17might serve him
23:18without fear,
23:20holiness and righteousness
23:21before him
23:22all the days
23:24of our life.
23:26And thou, child,
23:28shall be called
23:28the prophet
23:29of the highest,
23:30for thou shalt go
23:31before the face
23:32of the Lord
23:33to prepare his ways,
23:35to give knowledge
23:36of salvation
23:37to his people
23:38for the remission
23:39of their sins,
23:41through the tender mercy
23:42of our God,
23:44whereby the dayspring
23:46from on high
23:47hath visited us.
23:49to give light
23:50to them
23:51that sit in darkness
23:52and in the shadow
23:53of death
23:54and to guide our feet
23:56into the way
23:57of peace.
23:59Glory be to the Father
24:00and to the Son
24:01and to the Holy Ghost,
24:03as it was in the beginning,
24:05is now and ever shall be,
24:07world without end.
24:09Amen.
24:16I believe in God
24:18the Father Almighty,
24:20maker of heaven
24:21and earth,
24:23and in Jesus Christ,
24:24his only Son,
24:25our Lord,
24:26who was conceived
24:27by the Holy Ghost,
24:29born of the Virgin Mary,
24:31suffered unto Pontius Pilate,
24:33crucified,
24:34dead,
24:35and buried.
24:36He descended into hell
24:38the third day
24:39he rose again
24:41from the dead.
24:42He ascended into heaven
24:44and sitteth
24:45of the right hand
24:46of God,
24:47the Father Almighty.
24:49From thence
24:50he shall come
24:51to judge the quick
24:52and the dead.
24:54I believe
24:55in the Holy Ghost,
24:56the Holy Catholic Church,
24:58the communion of saints,
25:00the forgiveness of sins,
25:01the resurrection of the body
25:04and the life everlasting.
25:07Amen.
25:11The Lord be with you
25:13and with thy spirit.
25:17Let us pray.
25:20Lord, have mercy upon us.
25:23Christ, have mercy upon us.
25:26Lord, have mercy upon us.
25:32Our Father,
25:33which art in heaven,
25:35hallowed be thy name.
25:37Thy kingdom come,
25:39thy will be done
25:40on earth
25:41as it is in heaven.
25:44Give us this day
25:45our daily bread
25:46and forgive us
25:47our trespasses
25:48as we forgive
25:50those who trespass
25:52against us.
25:53And lead us not
25:55into temptation,
25:56but deliver us
25:57from evil.
25:58Amen.
26:02O Lord, show
26:03thy mercy upon us
26:05and grant us
26:07thy salvation.
26:09O Lord, save the King
26:11and mercifully hear us
26:14when we call upon thee.
26:17Endue thy ministers
26:19with righteousness
26:20and make
26:22thy chosen people
26:24joyful.
26:26O Lord, save thy people
26:28and bless
26:30thine inheritance.
26:34Give peace
26:35in our time,
26:36O Lord,
26:37because there is none other
26:39that fighteth for us
26:40but only thou,
26:42O God.
26:45O God, make clean
26:46our hearts within us
26:49and take not
26:50thy Holy Spirit
26:51from us.
26:57collect for the
26:5920th Sunday
27:00of the Trinity.
27:02O almighty
27:03and most merciful God,
27:06O thy bountiful goodness,
27:07keep us,
27:08we beseech thee,
27:09from all things
27:10that may hurt us,
27:12that we,
27:13being ready
27:14both in body
27:15and soul,
27:16may cheerfully accomplish
27:17those things
27:19that thou wouldest
27:20have done.
27:21Through Jesus Christ
27:23our Lord.
27:24Amen.
27:29O God,
27:31who art the author
27:32of peace
27:33and lover of concord,

27:37our eternal life,
27:39whose service
27:40is perfect freedom,
27:42defend us,
27:43thy humble servants,
27:45in all assaults
27:46of our enemies,
27:47that we,
27:48surely trusting
27:49in thy defence,
27:51may not fear
27:52the power
27:52of any adversities.
27:54Through the might
27:55of Jesus Christ,
27:56our Lord.
27:58Amen.

28:12with thy mighty power,
28:14and grant that this day
28:16we fall into no sin,
28:18neither run into
28:19any kind of danger,
28:21but that all our doings
28:23may be ordered
28:24according to thy governors,
28:26to do always that
28:28which is righteous
28:29in your sight.
28:31Through Jesus Christ,
28:32our Lord.
