04:52He stores up effective counsel for the upright,
04:55and is like a shield for those who live with integrity,
04:59to guard the paths of the righteous,
05:01and to protect the way of his pious ones.
05:06Then you will understand righteousness,
05:08and justice,
05:09and equity,
05:10every good way.
05:12For wisdom will enter your heart,
05:15and moral knowledge will be attractive to you.
05:20Discretion will protect you,
05:22understanding will guard you,
05:24to deliver you from the way of the wicked,
05:26from those speaking perversely,
05:28who leave the upright paths,
05:30to walk on the dark ways,
05:32who delight in doing evil,
05:35they rejoice in perverse evil,
05:38whose paths are morally crooked,
05:41and who are devious in their ways,
05:43to deliver you from the adulterous,
05:47from the sexually loose woman,
05:49who speaks flattering words,
05:52who leaves the husband from her younger days,
05:55and forgets her marriage covenant made before God.
06:00For her house sinks down to death,
06:03and her paths lead to the place of the disaparted spirits.
06:10None who go into her will return,
06:13nor will they reach the paths of life.
06:17So you will walk in the way of good people,
06:20and keep on the paths of righteousness.
06:23For the upright will reside in the land,
06:26and those with integrity will remain in it.
06:30But the wicked will be removed from the land,
06:33and the treacherous will be torn away from it.
06:38This is the word of the Lord.
