A wild encounter in Colorado has gone viral after a massive elk smashed the window of a parked car.
The incident happened in Estes Park, an area known for its large elk population. Video of the animal attacking the vehicle has quickly spread across Instagram, leaving viewers shocked by the animal’s strength.
The elk struck the car’s rear window with enough force to completely shatter it. The incident reportedly happened during rut season, when male elk can become more aggressive and unpredictable as they compete for mates.
The unusual footage sparked plenty of reactions online. Some viewers joked about the driver’s insurance claim, while others reminded people to keep their distance from elk during rut season.
One commenter joked, “It was just a Kansas driver, nothing of value was lost.”
Another warned, “Stay clear in the rut season!”
The video is a reminder that wildlife can be powerful and unpredictable, especially during mating season. For anyone visiting areas with large elk populations, keeping a safe distance is essential.
