Dubai flight hero asks Netanyahu to ‘Tell Trump that I love him’

The News Whirl

An Israeli passenger who helped stop an attacker aboard a Dubai-to-Israel flight received praise from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after helping prevent a possible disaster. Yaniv Hayoun, an Israeli plumber who confronted the attacker, met Netanyahu along with other passengers who helped during the incident. During the meeting, Hayoun had a personal message for U.S. President Donald Trump. “Tell Trump that I love him,” Hayoun said in Hebrew, according to a translation. Netanyahu praised Hayoun and the other passengers for their courage and quick actions during the frightening situation. “The entire world sees Israeli heroism,” Netanyahu told them. “You will light a torch of civilian heroism on Independence Day,” he added. The Israeli prime minister credited the passengers with showing courage, resourcefulness and determination when they stepped in to help. Their actions, he said, helped prevent a potentially serious disaster and saved lives aboard the aircraft.
