00:54if we cut him it's 86 million dollars that's against our cap next year and so you have to
01:00be able to make this this decision because I'd feel bad about the hiring process and I'd feel bad

01:33a lot of young talent and what could be either the top quarterback second third fourth fifth whatever
01:40one of those quarterbacks added to this this quarterback room which could be revamped going into
01:46next year like no it would not shock me at all if Todd Munkin's the one and done unless of

01:52if if the offense takes real steps forward even if they lose a bunch of games then all right that's
01:59how you build confidence and this is going to be remember think about you just had Dante Moore go back
02:05to college there are people that still think Arch Manning I just heard Todd McShay again last night on
02:11the podcast say he's still not totally convinced Arch comes out so your coach does matter and your
02:18infrastructure matters ownership matters all those things are big so you're not going to go half cocked
02:25into this prized quarterback situation with a coach if he's not proving himself along the way
02:32and you're not going to pick a head coach that's probably going to win four or five games over the
02:38quarterback because I I do think like I I get what they've done here like you've got a lot of

02:45you got Denzel Boston and Casey Concepcion who are really exciting players especially Casey Concepcion
02:52because I think if your offense stalls if you can find a way to get the ball in his hands
02:57and give him
02:57some space he can create some big plays for you he can create some explosives for you I your offensive

03:04you got a lot of guys who have played a lot of different positions and they could end just end
03:09up just all being tweeners and swing guys but you could be setting yourself up for some future success
03:14if you're able to put Austin Barber right guard if you're able to put in Parker's Parker Brailsford
03:20and bump over Elton Jenkins like it's not an end it's not a done deal but this could be a

03:26situation as bad as what we think a lot of people think the season's going to be because a four

03:31win season is not a good year there's a lot of strife and a lot of a lot of frustration

03:35that but you could still look at this as a young quarterback and you and your agent your family
03:42could go hey this is a better situation this is a pretty good situation to be dropped into of all
03:47the bad teams this could be a better situation we're free of a bunch of cap space you have or

03:54will at that time you will have an opportunity to bring in free agents to bolster the community that's
03:59going to be around this young quarterback and exactly what you say because it's not just going
04:03to be a guy like like Arch Manning it's going to be everybody you want to make this as good
04:08as you
04:09possibly can so like Dante Moore doesn't have the type of background that Arch Manning does where his
04:15family is famous for basically picking where they go okay but you can make this a better situation
04:22but if that coach ain't there you'll just get rid of the coach because if he only wins four or
04:27five
04:27games no one's going to bat an eye especially if he's saying the things that he's been saying
04:31because there is such a thing as being a little bit too colorful because I think that again that
04:36fine line between colorful and goofy is winning and if they're not going to win a bunch of games
04:41then people are going to look at the guy as a goof like we did in 2019 and you know

04:45the the same guys that we had already interviewed for head coaching jobs those two young guys they're
04:50still going to be out there looking for head coaching jobs after this season so you know you do have

04:56way to kind of seamlessly and if you move on if this is a total disaster with Todd and if

05:01the first or second pick and you have I you know I don't know how the season's going to go

05:06of these guys you know I'm sure some someone's going to rise up maybe it's Byron Brown or something
05:11like that you know someone's going to rise up someone's going to fall always happens that way
05:16maybe Lenore Sellers gets it back even though that's still a tough situation down there at South Carolina
05:20I think they can go bowling but I don't think a lot of people are going to be really excited
05:24over six and six out of the SEC being taken number one two three or four overall for your
05:29football team I don't know how how exciting that's going to be for a lot of fans but I I

05:35this is something that we have to be very careful about I have I have a lot of respect for

05:41his history but with what's being said you know this is going to be used against him in the court

05:47Monday mornings after Brown's games because you know when you say you didn't watch the tape
05:53I can I can accuse you of lying and hoping that you're lying but they're going to take your word
05:59for it and so if that broken quarterback goes out there in Jacksonville in 10 days and sucks up the
06:06room and throws picks and looks like he's afraid of his own shadow again guess who answers for it
06:11it well he'll answer for it to some degree but it's going to be you yes but why does that

07:20if you were in Todd Munkin's shoes do you care about the the fans when talking about your quarterback
07:27your football team I don't think you can afford to so we're just gonna have to sit here and hope

07:37normally normally fans this is so interesting because fans are always like ah we don't want the
07:43owner meddling we know that you know if the the old adage if you're listening to the fans should be
07:50sitting with them and in this case I think fans are like listen to us we don't want this starting
07:54quarterback as the quarterback and I do think Todd Munkin came in with 100% approval rating like
07:59most coaches do and I wonder how far down he is right now with fans because he chose the quarterback
