Willard and Dibs join Steiny and Evan (in for Guru) on a Tuesday edition of the Crossover. The guys react to Nick Bosa's knee tendonitis, the new-look defense under Raheem Morris, and more.
Transcript
00:00Now, back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:05All right, it's time for the crossover brought to you by Bay Alarm.
00:08Rest easy, we've got you covered.
00:09Bayalarm.com.
00:11Evan Giddings is in for Daryl the Guru Johnson today.
00:14And we're joined now by Dan Dibley and Mark Willard.
00:18And I would think that the news of the day is the Bosa news.
00:23He's got some tendinitis in that surgically repaired ACL.
00:26And they're listing him as week to week.
00:29But he hasn't, he hasn't, Matt Barrow said he hadn't had a full practice all year.
00:34Or all training camp.
00:35And that makes some sense.
00:37But, and I was telling the guys on our show thread earlier about the idea of an itis.
00:41When you get to an itis, and we'll ask Doc Pandia later today about if that really is consistent with
00:47something that is lingering.
00:49And I think about Steph Curry with the runner's knee, which is kind of like a bursitis.
00:54You've got arthritis and you've got tendinitis.
00:56And anything that's an itis feels to me like it's going to be here for a while.
01:00I'm trying to think if that makes sense.
01:02Aren't there some just like regular diseases that are itises?
01:06Appendicitis.
01:06Yeah.
01:07But if it's acute.
01:08Well, yeah.
01:09And that's lingering.
01:10Is it?
01:11Like if you ever had it.
01:12I mean, there's A, B, and C.
01:14All are different in terms of their efficacy.
01:16But if you've got hepatitis, you've got hepatitis.
01:20It's not like a cold where you just get over it.
01:23It's an itis.
01:24I'm worried about the itis, Tiny.
01:26Kyle said it's normal.
01:29It's 90%.
01:30Yeah.
01:30About 90% of the people have it.
01:33I think I have something called SIBO feticulitis.
01:37Whoa.
01:37It's like a.
01:38That was a lot of letters.
01:39Yeah.
01:39You get your dry skin on the eyebrow.
01:41See?
01:42Hold on.
01:43Faticulitis.
01:44Something like that.
01:45I probably pronounced it a little.
01:46Say it again.
01:46Ask it.
01:47I thought it was like SIBO feticulitis or something.
01:51I don't know.
01:51I like it.
01:52I asked Pandia about.
01:52Hey, when you get Pandia on.
01:54Yeah.
01:54Ask him about it.
01:56About your SIBO feticulitis?
01:59About your skin problem?
01:59Your skin issues?
02:00I like the way you say Pandia.
02:02I like the way you do that.
02:04Pandia?
02:04Yeah.
02:05You've kind of turned into a J or a G or something.
02:07And that's fine.
02:08I like the original pronunciation from the native.
02:12Where it's from?
02:13Okay.
02:14Yeah.
02:14Is that accurate?
02:15I don't know.
02:16Okay.
02:17So formal today.
02:19What do you mean?
02:20Well, we'd like to welcome in Dan Tibley and Mark Willard.
02:24Yeah, the tones.
02:25And Kevin Kiddings is here for Daryl the Guru.
02:27Well, yeah.
02:28What's up?
02:28A little less of combustible without goo.
02:31Well, sure.
02:32So we just got to ease it into it.
02:33That's fine.
02:34All right.
02:35Everybody's still...
02:36Not like Boast's knee.
02:38No?
02:38So seriously, you just don't think anything about it?
02:41I don't...
02:42What's your concern-o-meter?
02:43Zero.
02:44I don't know how...
02:45Oh, come on.
02:46No, no, no.
02:46You're going to misconstrue what I'm saying.
02:48I don't...
02:49I don't know how...
02:50Maybe this is a flaw in my personality.
02:52I don't know how to worry about this stuff when it's a month from the game.
02:56I just don't.
02:58I don't...
02:58Like, I don't...
03:00It sounds to me like our entire city has gotten paralyzed by injuries.
03:04That's what this all sounds to me like.
03:06Well, Evans is out there.
03:07And that's fair.
03:08No, no, no.
03:09This player, that player.
03:11I'm talking everything.
03:12Warriors, Niners.
03:13Like, we can just sit here for the next month and a half and be like, it's going to be
03:17awful.
03:18It's going to be awful.
03:19Everybody's kind of old.
03:20They're all going to...
03:21We can do that.
03:22You might be right.
03:22I'm not saying anybody's wrong.
03:24I just...
03:24I don't know how to worry about this kind of stuff when they've lost one player to a season-ending
03:31injury
03:31and every other injury I've heard about.
03:34I can't confirm, also can't deny that they are going to be relevant a month from now.
03:41I guess I'll put it this way.
03:43I learned a lesson at our...
03:45Was it last year?
03:46The Summit.
03:47The Summit.
03:47I thought we all sounded like...
03:49We sounded ridiculous.
03:51He played...
03:52He had 400,000 touches.
03:54And we all lost our minds because he walked off of a field one day.
03:59Like, right before the season started.
04:01So, I hear what you guys are saying.
04:03I certainly do.
04:04And the Niners have had way more than their share.
04:06But, um...
04:07If...
04:08You had an observation earlier that I agree with, which is that we all sound way more concerned than the
04:13team does.
04:14At this point, we do.
04:15Let's just update our listeners real quick, Dibs, and play the Shanahan sound.
04:20About what's going on with Nick Bosa.
04:22Just soreness, tendinitis.
04:24It's a pretty normal thing with ACLs.
04:26You know, just talking to our guys.
04:27They say it happens to about 90% of the guys we've had.
04:29So, it's a normal thing.
04:31And so, we've got to be smart here for, you know, week to week.
04:33But no concerns about him being any more than that.
04:37Yeah, no concerns.
04:38And, I mean, you get to week one.
04:40And if he still has the tendinitis, then you go to the Motley Crue songbook.
04:46And you pull out Dr. Feelgood.
04:48He's the one they call Dr. Feelgood.
04:50And he gets that injection.
04:52And he plays.
04:53And then it hurts Tuesday.
04:54And it's vet day Wednesday.
04:55And if it hurts on Saturday, guess what?
04:58Mr. Needle, come on down.
05:00You're the next contestant on Nick Bosa's knee.
05:02They're going to do the management of the pain when the games actually matter.
05:06So, for now, like, what are we even trying to do that Nick Bosa needs to be out there for?
05:11Well, I mean, my concern would be him starting the season hitting the ground running.
05:16Which you would like him to be able to do.
05:18I was just, I mean, the last time he tore his ACL, I remember, like, no one was really worried
05:23about him in 2021.
05:25Because he was 24 years old.
05:27And he was coming off Rookie of the Year.
05:28And it was a freak thing that happened in MetLife.
05:31And he had three sacks in his first two games.
05:33And, boom, gets right back to being on top of the world, wins DPOY the year later.
05:37And now, it feels like people are both concerned about the knee, but also just where Nick Bosa is at.
05:45Like, how good he is.
05:46Because I think he's still a damn good player.
05:49But the Niners need him more than they did back in 2021 when their defense was a top five unit.
05:56So, for me, it's yes.
05:57I mean, I'm concerned about his knee and whether he's out there.
06:00But how much he's going to help the 49ers, if this lingers, that's a massive blow to their football team.
06:08And they're a team right now that feels like they're kind of just built on a lot of dudes that
06:13you're hoping are going to be out there.
06:15He's a huge piece of what they do.
06:17But then again, my mind kind of goes to, I don't know if all of us are completely in touch
06:23yet with what they do defensively.
06:24Because it's about to change.
06:26You know, this is going to be, Raheem Morris is going to run a very, very different deal than Robert
06:31Sala did.
06:32Actually, one thing I think we want to talk about today is all of a sudden, with Robert Sala in
06:38town with the Titans,
06:40I had never heard this at all last year.
06:42All of a sudden, there's these little passive-aggressive things that people are dripping in the water.
06:47Ever, like Vic Tafers, like the DBs have been talking all camp about how much better things are now with
06:53Sala gone.
06:55And Lombardi dropped in a, the defense looks like they've got their edge back.
07:00Right.
07:00And he's like, and I think we know why.
07:02And I'm like, we do?
07:03I thought we all loved Robert Sala.
07:05And maybe this is that, you know, buyer's remorse, seller's remorse, however you want to phrase it.
07:11But maybe there's something to, he's gone, so now you flip and look at the negative sides of him or
07:18whatever.
07:18But that sounded and felt weird to me.
07:20But I'm also mindful, this defense is going to, they're going to look very different with the way they go
07:25about their business.
07:26And I think that that's where the frustration comes from for the guys in the secondary.
07:29Because last year, if you want to go through all the games, it was basically, keep them in front, don't
07:35get cooked.
07:35We want them to go 13 or 14 plays.
07:38We're not taking risks.
07:39We're not blitzing.
07:40And I'm looking at the numbers here.
07:41In terms of blitz percentage, they were damn near at the bottom.
07:45Sacks, they were last.
07:47Interceptions, they were tied for 29th.
07:49And so the approach was, you know, Renardo, go ahead and give up nine catches for 94, but no touchdowns
07:55if you can.
07:56And so I'm sure these DBs are thinking, no, I want to go out there and lock a guy down
08:00and get after the QB and let's make some plays and get some takeaways.
08:04Or apparently fight, because that's what they did a lot at the joint practice today.
08:08First play of the game.
08:09Yeah.
08:09Yeah.
08:10I mean, boy, I think even Brock Purdy, like, threw a football at one of the defensive linemen.
08:14Did he really?
08:14After scoring a touchdown, he kind of tossed it at him and did his little dance.
08:18Little Dougie.
08:19Yeah, but no, I don't think there's any reason to not feel differently about the defense.
08:26It's like, guys don't like getting embarrassed.
08:30It doesn't matter what walk of life, but especially if you're a defensive back and you're Upton Stout and you
08:35like to play up on a guy, you like to play man, and you're asked the entire year to just
08:40sit back and let these guys take six and seven yards at a time, you're probably going to feel some
08:46sort of way about it.
08:47So I bet they do like Raheem Morris.
08:49He's got a track record of empowering defenses and creating different schemes.
08:54I guess I would just ask, if you were winning football games, what was there to be mad about?
09:01To me, it's just more of a personal pride thing at that point.
09:04Well, no, but that's tied to money for individuals.
09:08And the defensive stats last year were terrible.
09:11They never sacked anybody.
09:13They did not get a lot of interceptions.
09:15Did they have a pick six all year?
09:16I can't barely remember.
09:19And so individuals like to play a certain way that helps them out.
09:25And I'm not saying that they're being selfish and it's all about money, but take the Chicago Bears win last
09:30year.
09:30It's not like the defense went home and was like, yeah, we won.
09:33It looked awful.
09:34You couldn't stop anybody ever.
09:37So, you know, Phillip Rivers was moving the ball on you.
09:39So I get it.
09:40The defense last year, their successes were few and far between and they were good enough.
09:46And they won close games and outscored people sometimes.
09:50But I get why a defender's not pleased with the way last year went.
09:54But there weren't a lot of guys that even just, you can say it's all scheme, but because of how
10:01many dudes were hurt, when you watch a football game, I'm sorry, there just weren't a lot of players standing
10:06out on the defensive side of the ball.
10:08Well, to me, to my way of thinking with the 49ers defense, and it's always kind of been pass rush
10:14first, the DBs are going, if you do not ever rush the passer, your DBs are on and not, they're
10:20stuck.
10:21You're screwed.
10:22You can't play.
10:23DBs can't stay with wide receivers for that long in the NFL.
10:26So if you have no pass rush and you won't do anything aggressively to change that, and I think that's
10:33the implication from the defensive backfield, it's hanging them out to dry.
10:37That's my best guess on how they felt after last year.
10:40And I also refer to the Greg Cosell comments that he made all last year where you can want to
10:45blitz, but if you don't have blitzing players, players who are good at blitzing, then you can't blitz.
10:51In other words, if you don't have a safety or an extra linebacker, you know, maybe it's a corner blitz,
10:55the cat blitz that we all like a cat, but if you don't have the players to execute it, then
11:02you can't do it.
11:02And so I was running the numbers and I'll get into it more in our show because I did a
11:08deep dive on blitz percentage, sacks, interceptions throughout the Shanahan era.
11:14And it's pretty clear when you look at the pattern, Kyle Shanahan himself doesn't love to blitz.
11:19He doesn't want to have that risk, and so Raheem Morris loves the blitz, so what do you got, Stiney?
11:26You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGM, ZFM, and HD1 San Francisco and Odyssey Sports Station, always live on
11:33the free Odyssey app, now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk Studios.
11:36Well, what was the play where he threw a...
11:39Steve Wilkes.
11:40Steve Wilkes.
11:41It's the Vikings.
11:42I can honestly say I'm sort of built for this.
11:44You won't do that to Raheem and Kyle are really tight friends.
11:47I can honestly say I'm sort of built for this.
11:49I don't think we're going to get any press conferences about how Raheem knows he screwed up.
11:53But even at that, the Wilkes year as D.C. was the second fewest blitzes by percentage in the Shanahan
12:00era.
12:01So we all remember that one, which was like a cat.
12:04I mean, it was a zero blitz at the end of the half.
12:07Foolish.
12:07Wrong choice.
12:08But they only blitzed 18% of the time.
12:11Third to last in the league.
12:12I mean, they've had a lot of really good defenses despite not blitzing.
12:15Like, just for example, I know you'll get on the list, but 2019.
12:19Was that a year where they blitzed a lot or no?
12:22No.
12:23And it's pretty good defense.
12:24Bolsa as a rookie had nine.
12:26And they as a team were tied for fifth in sacks.
12:29And so if you've got, you know, big boys up front who don't need a fifth rusher because you're just
12:35flat better.
12:36And I think that was Eric Armstead still.
12:38And, you know.
12:39Buckner.
12:39Exactly.
12:40And so that team was so ferocious up front, you didn't need to blitz.
12:45And so that's where I'm thinking about this.
12:47And Mark and I will get into it.
12:48For me, you guys talked earlier about Nick Bosa and the worry concern.
12:52I'm not worried yet, but he is so, so, so important to this team.
12:56And the numbers, they've proved it out over the years.
13:00Well, as it relates to Bosa, and I'll bet you, Mark, this.
13:04I know what Mark.
13:05Mark and I have some similarities in terms of our thinking.
13:08Not all together.
13:10But, like, so Kyle Shannon said, no, I'm not concerned.
13:13And then I was thinking, what would be the difference if he's, like, because he's saying, like, I'm not concerned.
13:17Yeah.
13:18What if he would say, well, you know, he's had three ACLs, so of course there's concern.
13:22Right.
13:22Like, what is the difference between those two things?
13:26Well, and Kyle, famously last year, do you remember when people were like, are you concerned?
13:31And he's like, I mean, you know, he sort of skipped.
13:34And they're like, how concerned?
13:36And he's like, questionable.
13:37That's right.
13:37That's right.
13:38That's right.
13:39Like, he's not going to, I don't know that we're getting the whole story.
13:43I know some people have tossed around today that this could be contractually related.
13:47Questionable.
13:48Questionable concern.
13:48There's a low buzz on the internet that McCaffrey and Bosa, I don't, I have no knowledge on this
13:54whatsoever, but they think that this is sort of some low-level hold-in.
13:57A la Juwan Jennings last year, who had a, air quotes, calf, but also had popcorn in a suite
14:04during preseason games, because he actually was trying to prove a point.
14:09Maybe there's something going on like that.
14:10I have no idea.
14:11I wouldn't think it with Nick.
14:12He's scheduled to make a whole lot of money this year.
14:16But yeah, Kyle's not, I don't think it makes sense for him to turn a red light on.
14:22Well, I also, I also think that coaches are now, especially in this day and age, like,
14:30Kyle, do you worry about injuries?
14:31No.
14:32Why not?
14:33Because I can't control what I, like, you know, in a way it's like a guy who fouls out
14:38of a game isn't in foul trouble anymore.
14:41Right.
14:41You know what I mean?
14:41It's like, I can't, I just practice and they'll tell me who's available and I'll do the best
14:47I can with, with, uh, who's available, but I don't really sweat it one way or the other
14:52because I can't.
14:54I will say this.
14:55When the Pure Saul thing first percolated, all the reporters were like, the Niners are
14:59concerned.
15:01They remember that.
15:02Right.
15:02Like there's some concern.
15:03And then three days later, he's out for the year.
15:05They haven't expressed that with anyone else.
15:08That's true.
15:08Doesn't mean that everybody's great.
15:10I'm not saying that.
15:11But, um, again, to the point you made earlier, I just think because of our wounding, we're all
15:17we're all a little bit more concerned about it than they are.
15:19I mean, this may be like, I'm not convinced they're doing everything the same as they've
15:24always done it.
15:26So what's happening with these guys, not practicing may be a very function of the injuries that
15:34they're doing in a deliberate way.
15:36You know what I mean?
15:36Absolutely.
15:37Right.
15:37And I do think that their schedule now is different.
15:40It's a hard practice, a hard practice, a jog through, and then one more hard practice
15:45and then it's an off day.
15:46And so that's new from what they've done in the past.
15:49And I do think that to your point, Stiney, is they're responding to the reality, which
15:53is we've just had a lot of guys who can't make it through camp.
15:57So maybe it's you, you tweak the schedule.
16:00Maybe it's you give guys more latitude to just miss a practice.
16:03And I thought it was interesting what Baldy said this morning with the Joes about like,
16:07yeah, I mean, you got to be out there when I played and well, now it's all so different,
16:11you know?
16:12Yeah.
16:12I was, I was going to say that kind of just feels like the way sports are now.
16:15Totally.
16:16And it did sound like an old school guy who played the game and is not used to seeing
16:20that.
16:21But I have to imagine that's not just a Niners related issue.
16:25I mean, you hear all the time about how like a team like the Philadelphia Eagles, they take
16:29it easy during the summer.
16:30They don't kill each other the way that the Niners have in the past and build the calluses
16:35and stuff.
16:35So do they look more comfortable?
16:37Yeah, probably.
16:38But they also got guys who've been in the league for 10 years.
16:40Every single year of my life, people who are aging, look at people who are doing it now
16:47and think that they're wimpy.
16:50That's, that is an omnipresent.
16:51Omnipresent, like that is an omnipresent thing that I've observed my entire life.
16:58Oh yeah.
16:59So Baldy thinking that today, wimpy, get Upton Stout, book him for 25 years from now and
17:05he'll tell you that the Niners current DBs are a bunch of softies.
17:10It's just the way it is.
17:11I mean, one thing that, I don't know if I've told this story, but it always hit me.
17:18So remember, he still plays DeAndre Hunter in the NBA.
17:23Yep.
17:23Played for the Hawks, slank drafts him.
17:26So it was like his first or second year and apparently DeAndre Hunter told the trainer,
17:31you know what, I got a little soreness in my knee.
17:34And the trainer said, okay.
17:35He said, and then DeAndre Hunter said, yeah, it was been like this for like a week.
17:40And the trainer was like, what?
17:42He's like, yeah, I've kind of felt it for a week.
17:44And they were like, dude, this is the NBA.
17:47The minute you feel it, you get it dealt with.
17:52Like it's not, you don't do that anymore.
17:55And he was like, okay.
17:57And everything was fine, but it's like every little thing you now must bring to the attention
18:03or they have a way of finding out.
18:06You know what I mean?
18:06And DeAndre Hunter, I think, is only late 20s right now.
18:11Like if you're a player in your 30s, I would imagine that's even more true, which is why
18:15like the Mike Evans thing, he came back today.
18:18All I can go by is that those on the scene at camp have said he'd been running full speed
18:23on the side the whole time, practically.
18:26So like I've always sort of thought if there was a game tomorrow, Mike Evans would play.
18:32He's 32.
18:33He missed a bunch of games last year.
18:34They're going to be really, really conservative with him, at least in the first half of August.
18:40And I like I would support that when you totally and the other piece is something that
18:44you guys mentioned earlier about the guaranteed contract nature of all this.
18:48I think it was you, Evan, where if you're somebody fighting to make the team and fighting
18:52for that contract, well, you don't have the luxury of, oh, I have a little bit of a stubbed
18:56toe.
18:57I need to take a break.
18:58No, if you're not one of these guaranteed guys, and I know that they're not guaranteed
19:02contracts, but if you're Trent Williams and you've made umpteen millions of dollars, you
19:07have a little bit more leash in terms of like, yeah, I'm going to sit this one out because
19:12you need me and I'm a made man.
19:14Yeah, I think there is something too about how many games they play now.
19:17And I think Stiney's right.
19:18Eventually there will be 18 games and I don't, I don't think yet we're in a place where you
19:23can, this is where we disagreed, consider load management in football.
19:28I just don't think the sport is built like that.
19:30And a lot of it is because you don't have fully guaranteed contracts, but you can absolutely
19:35load manage in August.
19:37Like you don't have to, people aren't playing preseason games.
19:40People aren't practicing as hard.
19:42Now they have jog throughs instead of four full days of practice.
19:44It's like the, the games are always going to be as important as ever, but everything
19:50that precedes it and follows guys are just saying, look, our bodies are going to go through
19:55so much more hell for an extra week or two that you cannot expect me to take every single
20:02practice as hard as I would do if we played 14 to 16 games.
20:07So that's the way I think the Bosa thing is a little bit, a little bit different, but I
20:11don't look at a Mike Evans or maybe even a McCaffrey, a Stribbling.
20:16I think there's degrees of concern for these injuries.
20:19Bosa would be at the top for me, but yeah, I think for a lot of these guys, this is
20:24where
20:24they load manage during their NFL season.
20:26Sean McVay has been doing it for years already.
20:29August is a month off for if you're a big name Ram.
20:33I like every time I see Miles Garrett's name, it's because he's not practicing.
20:37And no, like no, nobody has said anything about that.
20:41I don't think, I think he's conditioned the people who cover the Rams into not being concerned
20:46about that stuff because it's just August.
20:48Well, I also think we're getting to a point.
20:50It's like, I'm going to say it like players are load managing themselves, but it's not really
20:55about load management.
20:56It's about how can you not be focused on elongating your career?
21:02Like that's what it's about.
21:04And if, if, if Nick Bosa or any player doesn't feel like he's a hundred percent, I get why
21:13they wouldn't want to push it because they want to play as long as they can.
21:18Sports scientists everywhere.
21:20I'm as fascinated by this Australia travel thing as you are.
21:24I'm right with you.
21:25I really am.
21:26I can't.
21:26And I don't know.
21:27Do y'all believe it?
21:29I don't know.
21:29That's the other thing.
21:30It doesn't matter.
21:31Florio hit it on the head.
21:32It's the T a team's going to win because of it.
21:35And a team's going to lose because I know, but do you buy that?
21:38It's actually going to happen the way they're saying it's going to happen.
21:41Yes.
21:41Or is this gamesmanship?
21:43The Rams can change their flight anytime.
21:45I think it's going to happen the way we think you do.
21:47I do.
21:48Yeah.
21:48I think just because they did it that way last year and it worked for us last year.
21:52I think we're going to do it again.
21:54We should tell people again, what it is, is that the report is the Rams are showing up
21:57the day before the game and leaving right after.
21:59And the 49ers are like going tomorrow.
22:01I mean, I mean, they're, they're going to be there for over a week leading up to the
22:05game.
22:05And so the whole discussion about what's better for the body, it seems like the Niner one
22:09is the much more traditional, obvious way to do it.
22:13Um, but yeah, you're right.
22:16Cue the, uh, whole overreaction after.
22:19Like, what if the Rams win by 10 and it's just cause the Rams are better?
22:22Right.
22:22Right.
22:23But I also think that it's the Rams, it's the week after it.
22:26So the Niners go there for eight days and they acclimate.
22:29It's an acclimation sensation is what it ultimately would be, uh, what it would become.
22:34And then by the time they come back, now they've got the lag because they were there for a week.
22:38Meanwhile, the Rams, I think we're just going to go for a day and boom, boom, boom.
22:42And like, they probably don't get a jet lag, but do they lose the game because of it?
22:45But does it really work that way?
22:47Like, if I just fly to Australia and fly back, I recover at the same pace too?
22:51No, but you're.
22:52That sounds awful.
22:53But like, your circadian rhythm doesn't adjust as much.
22:55I thought of it, but the thing was that after they played the Jaguars in London last year,
22:59they had a bye week.
23:00So.
23:01Right.
23:01You would think that you would go for longer and not have to worry about it because you have
23:05vacation coming up essentially.
23:07But they still did it that way.
23:08They still did it back east before that too.
23:09So the flight was not from LA to London.
23:11It was from like New York or whatever.
23:13And this is a Thursday game.
23:14They get a week and a half.
23:16I've never experienced jet lag issues a week later.
23:20Well, one thing is a little intense to me.
23:22And I know nothing about anything, but if.
23:25It's not true.
23:26If one team's going there the day before, I kind of get it.
23:31And if one team's going there a week before, I kind of get it.
23:34But I wouldn't go there two or three days before.
23:38That's a tweener.
23:38You know what I mean?
23:39Yep.
23:39Yeah, it's a tweener.
23:40I would go two because the only time I've ever flown that far, I flew to New Zealand.
23:45And as we were getting ready to come in and land in Auckland, oh, fog.
23:49Sorry.
23:50You're diverted to Fiji, which is a quiet 90 minutes.
23:53It's not like getting diverted from here.
23:54Okay.
23:55Oakland, San Francisco, whatever.
23:56That was a diversion.
23:58That should be the name of your autobiography someday.
24:01Diverted to Fiji.
24:01Diverted to Fiji.
24:02Yeah, no doubt.
24:03I like that.
24:03Yeah.
24:03Yeah, that should be the title of your book.
24:05It's pretty good.
24:05And actually, just real quick, 20 seconds.
24:08No problem.
24:08You're always-
24:09Maybe 22.
24:09You're always like cogitating on what book to write.
24:13I think the book you need to write is all the books that you were going to write.
24:16That's the book.
24:17Yeah.
24:18It's a book of books that you have not written.
24:20Yeah, and ideas I've had that I've never followed through a lot.
24:22There's a clean hundred right now that I can think of.
24:24We're going to need fewer chapters.
24:25We're going to need to edit that down.
24:27I can-
24:27He won't make it through chapter three.
24:29I can do fewer chapters.
24:30All right, guys.
24:31You need a ghostwriter?
24:32All right, gents.
24:34Yes, I do.
24:35You got one for me?
24:36I'll look into it.
24:37I wasn't offering me.
24:38Okay.
24:38No, thank you, though.
24:39Okay.
24:40All right, bye.
