00:12When I think of sisterhood, I think of my own sister.
00:17I'm a big sister.
00:18And so I have been looking out for this other woman, this other girl my entire life,
00:24worrying about her well-being just as much as I care about my own.
00:26For me, sisterhood is really just about supporting other Black women.
00:30So I am on my way to see Tatiana, my mentee, my homegirl.
00:35With everything going on, I haven't been able to see her as often as I would like to,
00:38so I'm just going to ride by her place and drop off a little carrot package.
00:42I think being a Black woman, especially right now, at least for me,
00:46like not being able to see the other Black women in the office and be like,
00:49oh, let's go grab a coffee or something because, you know, everyone's working from home.
00:53It's tough.
00:55My girls always come through for me in the clutch,
00:58but when I think about like those moments where I'm like, wow, like you are so special.
01:04I even think back to my coworker, Rissa.
01:09I spend probably eight hours a day on FaceTime, just having someone there to talk to, to be with you,
01:16even as you do these like really routine tasks.
01:19It's been, when I say a lifesaver, a lifesaver to have these women in my life.
01:23Self-care is an every single day thing for me.
01:26I love making tea.
01:27I love music.
01:28I listen to it on vinyl.
01:30Honestly, I still have CDs.
01:32As Black women, as sisters, we have to show up for each other.
01:35We are there to, you know, like lift each other up.
01:40You know, being in the city throughout 2020 was really tough,
01:44but having the Toyota Sienna to get me around, run errands, connect with my girls,
01:48even get out of the city for some fresh air and a little adventure meant so much to me.
01:52My favorite features in the all new Toyota Sienna have to be the parking support.
01:57Having these features is a personal game changer for me, y'all.
02:04So right now for me, connecting with my community means hopping online and having video chats,
02:11sending each other gifts, whether that's a care package,
02:14just showing each other that we miss one another, even though we can't be together right now.
02:19So Larissa and I met, she so graciously slid in my DMs online,
02:24and she allowed me to understand how to show up in the world and advocate for myself
02:30in spaces that I didn't know how to before, making those big girl decisions
02:33and having someone I can lean on, essentially.
02:36I feel like having people in your corner to advocate for you,
02:39to navigate imposter syndrome is really important.
02:42Someone who will affirm you, recognize your flaws,
02:45but also allow you the opportunity to be a work in progress.
02:49I think having that is really crucial.
02:53When I think about my team, when I think about my mentee,
02:57when I think about the girls I call on and who I invite to call on me,
03:01it's really special.
