00:00We were eating, and I said, you know, like, I like how we can just have a conversation, and, you
00:05know, like, you don't like me, I don't like you, and you were just like, what makes you think I
00:11don't like you? And I was like, oh. I'm not trying to do that now. I'm trying to be straight
00:14off. I'm trying to drive the boat!
00:24How did we meet? How did we meet?
00:27BT Awards, you had it's like see-throughs, like, dress on, showed a little something, but not too much, and
00:34I'm just like, that's not right. That's not right.
00:39Then, like, as we started hanging out more, I was like, okay, like, she just got a dope soul.
00:45Then, it wasn't still until, like, two years after that, right? Two and three?
00:49Yeah, I think the moment I realized it was a little more than what it was, was when we were
00:55in a nail salon, and I got my toes out, my toenails on the foot, the dead skin getting scrubbed
01:04from under my foot, and I'm looking over, I'm like, where am I?
01:11We were just hanging out a lot.
01:13I'm going to be too forward, and be like, no, I just like you as a friend.
01:21I was kind of like that. It was a specific moment to actually have a list. I looked back at
01:27the list. I was like, dang, I think he's all of these things.
01:33I'm off, I'm off, I'm off, like, one or two check marks, man.
01:35No.
01:36No.
01:36No.
01:37Crazy.
01:40I wanted the person to, like, be in my industry. He didn't have to do exactly what I did, but
01:45he had to do something to understand why, like, you know, why we're so passionate and, like, we spent hours
01:53doing what we do. So, a lot of people don't understand that.
01:55Right.
01:56So, I wanted someone who understood the lifestyle and that just wanted to grow.
02:00It was like, oh, wow, she does understand my schedule. It was like this understanding of, like, we do what
02:05we do.
02:06Right, and it's so simple, but that's, like, a big thing over time, right? And it's like, that can become
02:12the damper of the mood, like, you're never available, or the person feeling, which we feel often.
02:18Yeah, I mean, it's tough.
02:19But we just understand it more.
02:20We definitely understand it, but definitely, we still human, just like, ah, you work today, like, ah, like, I'm off
02:27today.
02:27Right.
02:28You know?
02:28Also, a big thing for me, a part of this process, I think, that helped was just being low-key
02:35for, like, a year.
02:37It's interesting, we're in the social media stage now. If you're not posting this often, it's like, it's like, y
02:41'all broke up.
02:42Yeah, like, we broke up, like, a couple times, supposedly.
02:44Yeah, like, I don't think they're together.
02:46They're like, I don't think they're together.
02:47Yeah.
02:48Are y'all still together?
02:49Ain't that.
02:50Ain't that.
02:50We just, we're not on that, so.
02:52Right.
02:55Pet peeve, we ain't got, oh.
02:57I do.
02:58Well, I think, I think my, my pet peeve would've been, like, I always say, if something's bothering
03:05you, just say it, because I could, like, I could see it in your-
03:07Oh, yeah.
03:07Can you just say it?
03:08Can you just say it?
03:09No, I'm just, I'm okay.
03:11I'm okay.
03:11I'm okay.
03:12I'm alright.
03:13I'm like, so I think I've learned to be like, alright, she gonna tell me when she ready
03:18to tell me.
03:19And it's just, thank you.
03:20I think one of my biggest pet peeves, probably, is, like, leaving an empty toilet tissue role.
03:27Yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm good for that.
03:30I'm good for that.
03:31I hate that.
03:34How's our relationship grown in the past three years?
03:37I would say that our relationship has grown tremendously.
03:41I've grown, like, just mentally and emotionally stronger and less, you know, defensive based
03:49upon what may have happened to me before.
03:52I guess a lot of relationships do fail because they're holding on to a lot of past trauma
03:56and then not realizing that that person in front of you is a totally different person.
04:00We all do, right?
04:01We all do.
04:02So it's like, I think for me, like, the growth was myself.
04:06Letting me be able to be better, like, to you, for, for us, and stuff like that.
04:13I think we're still growing every day.
04:16Love languages.
04:18Oh.
04:19Do you remember your art?
04:19Words of affirmation and affection.
04:22I think.
04:22Yeah, definitely.
04:23Okay.
04:24I would say mine is words of affirmation and quality time.
04:29Quality time.
04:29Yeah.
04:30And?
04:32And what?
04:33No.
04:36And gifts?
04:37You don't get to say gifts so bad.
04:39And gifts.
04:40No, it's not.
04:41She love a good gift.
04:42It ain't gotta be expensive, but it need to be a gift.
04:45With my birthday, you were just like, let me plan it.
04:48Let me plan it.
04:49And I was like, okay.
04:50It really turned out to be like a really dope.
04:52It was really way more than I expected.
04:54Like, I expected it to be, you know, skating rink, fun vibes, food, stuff like that.
04:59But there was like, I loved it that night.
05:02I got so emotional about everyone being there because I was just like, all the people I love
05:07were like at one table for my birthday.
05:09It just meant so much.
05:10Like, that night was, it was just so good.
05:15For like, our friends, family, even close coworkers and stuff, they definitely support our relationship.
05:21Kind of, I feel a vibe of like, them looking at us, our peers looking at us like, how y
05:28'all doing this?
05:29Like, what's the secret?
05:31I think people are really like, rooting for us.
05:34Rooting for us.
05:35You know?
05:35Jinx.
05:36Jinx.
05:36Buy me a soda.
05:37I think ultimately my family, I mean, you've witnessed it.
05:40My family just, they just love.
05:42They hated me.
05:44No, they just love me.
05:45I was like, clutching my pearls.
05:48No, I think that like, I think what you felt was just, my family loves me.
05:54You know, I've always been such the baby and the, for the family.
05:58Like, little Jake, little Jake, little baby Jake.
06:01Like, take care of Jacob.
06:03But I mean, you know, I'm like, yo, like.
06:05Like, no, first of all, you just take care of me.
06:07Right, right.
06:07I come from a big family, so I want to have a family.
06:09I want a, a little, a little something, something.
06:15Yeah.
06:16You know what I mean?
06:17Yeah, definitely.
06:18I am, I don't have a huge family, but I do want, I do want a family of my own.
06:24We give our careers a break and let's go have fun and travel and chill and buy a house and
06:30have kids.
06:31You know, I think we're both in a place of just, it's about the grind right now.
06:36You know, it's about the grind for both of us.
06:39But it's also about supporting each other through both of our journeys.
06:44The, the lifelong picture is similar, which is very important.
06:51Yeah.
06:51And that works out great.
06:57It's just everything.
06:59That mind and that soul and that, that the history of just what we've been through.
07:04We just relate on so many levels.
07:07It's just.
07:08Unfiltered.
07:09Unfiltered.
07:09Yeah.
07:10Yeah.
07:11Mm-hmm.
07:12Right.
