00:00morning. Good morning. Good morning, guys. Let's get to all of it, starting with the tropical storm
00:04Bertha. The majority of the rain is out over the water. You can see it there, but we are still
00:08going
00:08to see some wind gusts. Right now, sustained winds are at about 50 miles per hour, and the track of
00:13this storm will bring it into southeastern Louisiana today. By this afternoon, we'll already
00:18see landfall, and then it will continue to move basically just westward as we go through the next
00:23couple of days. Now, since most of the rain is out over the water, that's going to be not our
00:28major
00:28concern. Instead, the winds, they will gust up to about 50 to 60 miles per hour, so a very gusty
00:34type
00:34of day, a wind-swept rain once the rain does move in, but the majority of it will be in
00:39extreme
00:39southern Louisiana, where we could end up with about four inches of rain. Also, that storm surge
00:44could produce about two to four feet of additional water on top of the typical high tide, so that could
00:50lead to some coastal flooding. Now to those storms. Yesterday, all that severe weather was brought on by
00:55this cold front that is now sagging down into areas like Virginia and northern North Carolina.
01:00We are going to see torrential downpours. The air is very, very humid. It holds a lot of moisture,
01:05so therefore, we could end up with about four to five inches of rain out of some of these downpours.
01:10We could also see some isolated tornadoes, although not like what we saw yesterday. It's more
01:15gusty winds and torrential rain, and with the ground already saturated, an additional four to five
01:19inches of rain could produce some flooding, so something we'll keep an eye out through the day today,
01:23guys. All right, Dylan, thanks. We'll see you again in just a moment. Now, with the rest of
01:27your forecast. Good morning again, guys. There is a lot going on. We've got those severe storms down
01:32through Virginia and North Carolina today. Flooding will be the biggest concern with those.
01:36In the northeast, this cold front is going to move through, and it's eventually going to cool things
01:40down, so we're still in the 80s for today, but tomorrow, look what's behind it. Lots of sunshine,
01:44lower humidity, temperatures comfortable in the low to mid-70s. On the flip side of that,
01:48though, it is hot and humid down south. Temperatures will feel like they're up around 115 degrees,
01:53and we're keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Bertha, as that makes landfall in southeastern
01:57Louisiana today. Most of the rain will stay offshore, but gusty winds are in the forecast,
02:01and then we also have some heavy rain out in the Four Corners area, where we have that monsoonal
02:06moisture that'll produce some heavier downpours. Up and down the west coast, 90s to 100s with lots of
02:11sunshine. That's a look at the weather across the country. We'll get to your local forecast in the
02:15next 30 seconds. We all have just embraced them as our own. Of course. We've got some extreme heat in
02:21parts of the country. We've got heat alerts posted across the southwest. That will continue through
02:25the weekend into early next week, but also down south, including Dallas and Houston, New Orleans,
02:30too, where we're waiting for Tropical Storm Bertha to make landfall. Temperatures are brutal. It is hot.
02:36It's sticky. We're looking at your feels-like temperature up to around 116 in Houston. So really,
02:41just stay indoors, especially from that 10 a.m. to 3, 4 o'clock time frame, where it is the
02:47hottest part
02:48of the day. But back behind that cold front that brought all that severe weather to the northeast
02:51yesterday, temperatures are almost cool. 75 in Chicago, that's 10 degrees below average,
02:57only in the 60s in Buffalo. Up into New York tomorrow, we'll drop down to about 80 degrees.
03:01Buffalo, 75. Cincinnati, 79. It stays nice and comfortable as we head closer to the weekend,
03:07too. Chicago in the lower 80s through Saturday. Then we're back up to 91 for Sunday. Louisville up to
03:1392 by Sunday. And in Boston on Saturday, if you're out at the pool, out at the beaches, it's going
03:18to
03:18feel a little chilly. 71 degrees and 74 on Sunday. Not too bad. That's look at the weather across the
03:23country now. Now in the latest on Tropical Storm Bertha with Dylan. Hey, Dylan. Yeah, there is a lot going
03:28on.
03:28Good morning again, guys. This is the cold front from yesterday that is now moving offshore, although the
03:33next round of rain and heavy storms will be down through Virginia and northern North Carolina. You can see
03:38these storms are expected to fire up later on this afternoon into this evening. Heavy rainfall because
03:44it's just so humid and the atmosphere holds so much moisture. So heavy rainfall that could lead to
03:49the potential for some flooding is a possibility. Gusty winds, but a lesser chance of tornadoes. And
03:54then tomorrow, this front sags to the south, bringing most of that rain into northeastern Georgia
03:58and South Carolina. But today, we could see training of these storms over the same area, meaning
04:03the same spot gets hit with rainstorm after rainstorm after rainstorm. And that could lead
04:08to about four to five inches of additional rainfall. Here is Tropical Storm Bertha. You can
04:13see the heaviest of the rain is out over the water, but we will see some bands, some heavier downpours
04:18at times. But it's really going to be the wind that's going to be a factor as this storm continues
04:23to travel basically westward. It should make landfall in southeastern Louisiana today, then eventually
04:28moving back over the water and making another landfall near Texas as we continue through the
04:34week. So where we do end up with those heavier rounds of rain, mostly along the southern tip
04:38of Louisiana, that's where we'll see about four inches of rain. But we also have that onshore flow
04:43of water that could lead to about two to four feet of storm surge. So flooding along the coastline,
04:48certainly a possibility too, guys. All right, Dylan, thank you. Now, wherever you're traveling today
04:52across the country, keep in mind that we are going to see some areas where you could run into some
04:57trouble spots, especially down through Virginia into North Carolina. We also have that tropical storm
05:02moving through the New Orleans and Louisiana area. We also have a heavier round of rain moving through
05:08central Nebraska right now and some monsoonal moisture out in the four corners. We have those
05:13hot, hot temperatures down south. Here feels like temperature up around 115 degrees across most of
05:18Texas. You go a little farther north, though, up across the Great Lakes, the upper Midwest, 60s and 70s
05:23with a return to the sunshine. The sun's already coming out here in the northeast. Temperatures
05:27today once again in the 80s before we drop down into the 70s for a couple of days starting tomorrow.
05:33That cold front is the reason why things have cooled off out west, though, even up into Seattle,
05:38into Oregon. Temperatures in the 90s to the triple digits in the coast of Florida or coast of
05:43California. It looks really nice. Lots of sunshine highs in the 80s and 90s. That's the weather
05:47across the country. Now here's a peek out here. And that's your latest forecast. All right,

08:34to grow your career. And here with an exclusive first look is what is the thought process behind
08:41not going with the big cities and going with these smaller cities? Yes. To build a career,
08:45finish your career, grow your career, raise your family. So we want to find those places,
08:49surface them, and then debut them on the Today Show. Cool. Okay. Well, without further ado,
08:53the number one city is? Number one is Augusta, Georgia. So you probably think about this for golf.
08:58There's a good reason for that. But Augusta is also a growing hub for cybersecurity.
09:02The city is also a big investment in medical education and healthcare. And then we're seeing
09:06a lot of tech jobs going there specifically for AI and data centers. So you've got this kind of city
09:12that has a wide diversity. At number two, this is a conveniently located city for all the East Coast
09:18cities, but lower cost of living. It's got a diversity of industries. Reno right on the border
09:23with California, but lower Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, probably the most surprising.
09:27Harrisburg has this kind of steady home. Cities that are located in conveniently located places
09:33tend to be great for these distribution and logistics jobs. So one I'd point out is Louisville,
09:37Kentucky, which is a conveniently located place, good airports, so people like to be there.
09:42Manufacturing is driving a lot of this. So we talked about Reno a little bit, manufacturing jobs.
09:45And then the last one is AI. AI is driving a lot of growth.
09:48Keep in mind, because it's obviously a big decision to further your career, to relocate
09:53your whole life. How do you make that decision?
09:55Yeah. So number one is don't just take our list as, you know, the Bible. Go and research
09:59these places. Make sure you'd be happy there. It's also, it doesn't have to be a permanent
10:03place. It could be a good start. As hard as it is a new person to go meet new people
10:07in this town
10:07and just do the research before you go. And then there are like tips also that if you want to
10:13go
10:14work for companies there, get an address, maybe if someone that lives there, I've heard someone
10:19that does that recently. Like they, they just, they changed their address to say, I already live
10:22there. Should you ask the employers? Yeah, great. We, so number one is like, so are there ERGs that
10:27you can be part of a player resource group? Are there, you're going to meet people in the office?
