00:00tracking it for us. Hey, Dylan. Hey, Willie, and it's already hot out there right now. Look at our
00:04current temperatures. It's 80 currently in St. Louis, 82 already in New York City, same up into
00:08Boston, and your feels like temperatures are already in the mid to upper 80s for a lot of
00:13areas in the Northeast. So we have excessive heat advisories and heat warnings in effect across
00:18major cities. 117 million people are at risk already as we go through the day today. So let's
00:24take a look at what our heat index will feel. Again, when you factor in the humidity on top
00:29of the already warm temperatures in the mid to upper 90s, it will feel like it's about 100 to
00:34105 degrees because as your body sweats, it doesn't cool down as efficiently as if it were very dry
00:40outside. So the humidity is what makes it feel so stifling. As we go into tomorrow, we're still
00:45looking at more of the same. It'll feel like 100 in Hartford, 107, your heat index in Washington,
00:51D.C. Then as we go through next week, temperatures will be staying in the 90s through at least
00:56Thursday, possibly into Friday, with your heat index again close to 100. Willie?
01:01The air is just fake out there, Dylan. You can feel it. Back as promised now with a quick check
01:05of the rest of the weather. Hey, Dylan. Hey, Willie. And we had some severe storms yesterday,
01:08in fact, flooding across parts of Iowa. All right, Dylan and I are ready to whip through the highs and
01:13the lows of the week. Got some good ones for you today, right? I can't wait. All right, let's go.
01:16Our first high. He can't see or hear it, but he knows exactly what's happening in the game thanks to
01:20his
01:20friends. And can get just as excited as everyone else. Yeah, and he's got a big game to get excited
01:23about against Mexico tomorrow. Our first low goes to a pair of idiots. But the perps were charged
01:28with using a stolen credit card, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, among many other
01:34things, and all that for a simple can of soda. Let's watch this in slow-mo. I hate to dwell
01:38on
01:38something so terrible, but I guess if you're thirsty. Well, it was all for a can of soda.
01:43So you're on the side of those two. Bold. Bold, Dylan Breyer. Next high goes to a game of catch
01:51on a
01:51team was watching, even noted James's talent, saying, quote, I love this kid's arm. Maybe a
01:57young prospect in the Yankees organization. Did you happen to notice his dad's shirt? Really?
02:01Well, it's got hot dogs and you'd have to see it. I was more focused on one of the greatest
02:06players
02:07in baseball. It's a ridiculous shirt, so that's why I happened to notice that. And again, she's on the
02:11side of the lady falling through the ceiling. One more. Our final low goes to, I mean, can't you just
02:15see the three of them working together for the rest of their lives? They are in trouble. We see you,
02:19Kayla. You're the ringleader. Coming up next, a Sunday sit-down and a home-cooked meal. What's
02:24your steak like? Yeah, I was going to say, enjoy that steak much? Because none of us know what it
02:27tastes like. It is going to be a hot week all week long, especially across the eastern two-thirds of
02:33the country. We are looking at record heat possible as we go into Monday. Scattered storms back through
02:38the Midwest and the Ohio and Tennessee River Valleys. By the middle of the week, it's hot, it's humid,
02:42temperatures in the mid-90s, feeling closer to 100, heavy tropical like downpours down south,
02:47and then the heat will start to build out west. By the time we get to Friday, it could be
02:5199 degrees
02:52in Los Angeles, and then showers will help cool things down a bit in the northeast. Let's look
02:56at the weather across the country. Now here's a peek out your window. Stop talking about steak. So
03:01anyway, the way the butter melted on the top, it becomes a brown caramel and you pour it. Oh,
03:05it's incredible. Nice. Glad you enjoyed that. I'll tell you more of that. Dylan, thank you. Next on Sunday
03:09today. And we close this morning with a look at what's next this week. Wednesday. Go Serena. Thank
03:15you for spending part of your morning with us. Enjoy your 4th of July holiday celebrating our
03:20great country together. We'll see you right back here next week on Sunday Today.
