00:42that is good i would be the only one that get out your phones everybody got a qr code there
00:51for
00:51great podcast you know chat wherever you get a podcast you'll find that one congrats
00:56more coming up on the third hour chef aaron fritz after local news down the benefits of collagen yeah
01:01it's a protein in our bodies that's especially important for skin growth and repair and these
01:05days collagen has become quite a buzzword buzzword of sorts for youthfulness but the big question is
01:11is it overhyped well doc i feel like collagen more than almost anything right now that firmness
01:17it gives that skin that lift it gives us the resiliency so that we can combat any like shearing
01:23stress or physicalness so it really is critically important for our skin it has become popular but
01:27for good reason is that true for men and women equally but men have something slightly analogous called
01:34andropause it's with a decline in your collagen and because men aren't using their sunscreen they
01:39aren't using all the other products packed our collagen levels absolutely it is like taking scissors to
01:44your collagen it's just cutting those threads you know want to make sure that we're using our
01:48antioxidants because those free radicals will also poke holes in our collagen you know making sure
01:52you're sleeping you know sleep is when our skin repairs itself so sleep is collagen it makes it hard
01:56and stiff and more prone to damage okay well we don't want that doctor so how might it show
02:01and wrinkles you're going to see that sagging you're going to see that jowling you're going to see that
02:05less of that lift you're going to lose some of that glow and you also see improved increased bruising
02:10caffeine because you know it gives us beauty but also you don't want to be leaky
02:13by the way as she's talking i'm going to say you're going to be leaky
02:18scared us straight hang upside down is there anything we can do to reverse the loss so the
02:22good thing is if you're outside for more than an hour creams and serums with peptides and peptides
02:27are important you'll see a lot of creams with collagen but collagen itself is too big to penetrate
02:30the skin so what you want are pep important difference now it'll say that on the bottle it'll say
02:35it on the bottle collagen peptides and then your diet so critically important so lean meats
02:40bone broth you know and then citrus you need to have citrus because those enzymes need citrus in
02:46order to make collagen and that's why i have a little bit of really i always rely on a really
02:51balanced diet to make sure your skin looks the best i've learned more about collagen in the last
02:54four minutes than i knew in the previous 47 years of my life my pleasure
03:00dr henry thank you so much appreciate it all right coming up next i am so excited to kick well
03:06welcome back today is quite the exciting day around here because our own dylan dreyer she's
03:13having a baby no i'm kidding giving birth to a podcast giving birth to a podcast congratulations
03:19like the little little thing about my head it's it's perfect at least i'm so excited for this it
03:24is called the parent chat and it's focused on sharing experiences about raising kids so in each episode i
03:30sit down with a range of guests from celebrities to experts dishing out relatable stories and heartfelt
03:35advice when it comes to parenting take a look yeah it's like i'm not an expert but i have some
03:42experience i've got the three boys you know i've been through a lot with them and i'm excited to share
03:48those you know the trials but also the fun stuff like being a mom or a parent in general is
03:53so hilarious
03:54yes the things that happen and when you can relate to other celebrities who you you think are different
03:59than us it's like no it's the most humbling thing to be a parent we're all going through the same
04:03thing but we do talk with experts those funny folks you follow on instagram right like the the
04:08this content they produce is so relatable because we're all going through the same stuff so that's
04:13kind of the conversation we're having and in each episode we share a parenting win something we're
04:18proud of we look we deserve to be proud of ourselves right we're working hard at this so
04:21do you do you have a parenting win that you can think of i do he's so used to me
04:26being like a hard
04:26like on him all the time and so just for a moment every day well that's the trick you had
04:31how to make him realize it's not always going to be yes yes yeah what about you i i over
04:36the weekend
04:36she had a one of those like five hour dance competitions and he was there he showed up
04:41didn't complain about it you know and he's going to celebrate the wins yes like let's toot our own
04:46horn yes yes celebrate the win and realizing it's not going to be linear exactly right some days are
04:51better than others and that's okay and that's this is a great idea this concept this is a great idea
04:55i appreciate that the first two episodes of the parents she is just she opened up so much
04:59a heartfelt conversation but lots of laughs too so you can catch both on youtube or wherever you get
05:04your podcasts all right the parent chat with dylan dry i love that uh coming up we're going to celebrate
