00:00Hello there, good evening. Well, for the time being, it looks like the heat wave is set
00:05to continue. But depending on whereabouts you are, there may be a brief respite in the
00:09heat to come. For now though, plenty of late evening sunshine to finish off the day. Still
00:14very gusty along southern coasts and hills of England and Wales. And once again in that
00:19easterly flow will continue to drag in some moisture and some low cloud, crossing the
00:23country through the early hours of the morning, leading to a slightly cloudier start as we
00:28head first thing into Monday. A slightly fresher night for some. Eastern Scotland, for example,
00:33dropping down to the highest single figures. But another warm night to come across southwest
00:37England. So it's going to be a very similar start to what we had this morning. Some patchy
00:43cloud around, but this will eventually lift and break through the course of the morning.
00:47It may just be thick enough to produce some light rain at times before it eventually clears
00:51away. Lots of sunshine by the afternoon. Quite a different day across Scotland. In areas this
00:56afternoon where we held on to the cloud, there's going to be plenty more clear skies into tomorrow.
01:00Perhaps the chance of the odd shower just starting to creep into some southern coasts towards the
01:05end of the day. And still in that brisk easterly wind that continues to make things feel not
01:10quite as warm across many eastern coasts, but still rather warm, if not locally quite hot across
01:15central and southern England. So temperatures still could just about reach into the low 30s
01:20across the south. Now we do have this system across southern areas just slowly drifting its way
01:26northwards before it clears. So that could bring in some showers across some southern counties.
01:31Maybe the odd rumble of thunder. Otherwise it's a very similar night to come. More moisture drifting in
01:36from the North Sea bringing in areas of low cloud. A few more clearer skies further west. Fairly similar
01:43temperatures still quite warm across southern areas. Lows not dropping much past 16 to 17 degrees Celsius
01:49here. And heading into Tuesday, it's very much a rinse and repeat. Some low cloud to start,
01:55lifting and clearing through the course of the morning and a return of the blue skies by the
01:59afternoon. Still a fairly brisk easterly breeze, which might bring some relief from the heat across
02:06many areas, especially in the south where that's still going to be the warmest of the conditions.
02:10And temperatures from Tuesday onwards are gradually going to start to increase once again,
02:14even in eastern areas where it's been not quite as warm, we'll start to see those temperatures
02:18increase once more. But how long is the heat wave going to continue? Well, still for a few more days
02:24yet. Looking ahead, we'll see some fresher nights briefly, but then the heat will continue to build
02:29as we progress through into this week. There will be some showers at times. It's quite hot,
02:34quite humid. So a chance these could spark off and bring us some thunderstorms and often quite windy
02:39in the south. But this is likely where we'll continue to see the hottest of the weather. So hopefully
02:44still bringing us some relief from the heat. Otherwise, if you want more updates on this
02:48week's weather, don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
