00:01Well, after quite a warm day, there's going to be little relief overnight.
00:05For the next couple of nights, we're going to see a return of those warm, muggy and quite
00:09uncomfortable nights to come.
00:11Quite an unsettled day across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, and at times northwest England.
00:16Still this band of cloud and rain stretching its way northeastwards, bringing quite persistent
00:21spells of rain, this turning a little bit heavy over the hills.
00:24A bit of cloud pushing into Wales, southwest England.
00:27Actually, parts of Devon and Cornwall could see some mist and fog overnight.
00:30Otherwise, it's still a dry night.
00:31Quite a few clearer skies across central and southeast England.
00:35But whether you're under cloudy skies or clearer skies, it is going to be a warm night to come.
00:40Some areas of the south and southeast not really dropping much past 17 or 18 degrees.
00:45Even further north, temperatures could still be around 16 to 17 degrees.
00:49So for all, it is certainly going to be quite a warm start as we head our way into Wednesday.
00:54And we'll continue to see that north-south split in the weather.
00:57This system's still dragging in some clouds and outbreaks of rain for some areas, though
01:02the rain a little lighter than perhaps what we saw today before another heavier band moves
01:07through later into the afternoon.
01:08Towards the north of this, across Scotland, perhaps slightly drier for some areas, just
01:13the odd shower skirting through across the northwest.
01:15Plenty of cloud, though.
01:17The best of the sunshine is going to be across parts of the south and southeast.
01:20But this is where the sunshine is going to be pretty intense.
01:23Another hot day to come, hotter than what we've had this afternoon.
01:26Highs pushing into around 34 to 35 degrees Celsius.
01:30And with high UV levels and also quite high humidity levels as well, you are really going
01:35to feel that heat into tomorrow.
01:37But notice further north, the temperature's not quite as high.
01:40A cloudy, some more cloudier skies, meaning that temperatures won't get quite as high
01:44as parts of the south and southeast.
01:46But the temperature difference compared to what we saw this afternoon very much will depend
01:50where you are a much hotter day across parts of the southeast.
01:53Actually, northern Ireland, eastern Scotland, are going to see a cooler day, despite perhaps
01:57there being slightly less rain around.
02:00Now, in through the evening, we're still stuck with this band of cloud and rain, which does
02:05eventually shift its way northeastward.
02:06So most of the rain will have fuzzled away through the early part of the morning.
02:10But there'll still be some remnants of cloud, perhaps the odd light shower just moving
02:14through here.
02:14Still very dry across many areas.
02:17And we'll start to see another system push through towards the northwest, bringing some
02:21heavy showers first thing on Thursday.
02:23It's still going to be a warm night for some areas.
02:26Still temperatures around 17 to 18 degrees across central southern England and Wales.
02:31But further north, you can see there is a slight dip in those temperatures, more towards
02:3510 to 11 degrees here.
02:36So feeling a bit cooler under cloudier skies when you're to the north of this band of cloud
02:41and rain.
02:43On Thursday, a bit of a change.
02:45Temperatures aren't going to be quite as high, so it's going to feel a little bit cooler and
02:48fresher, but still quite warm in the sunshine.
02:51Still some remnants of cloud across southern England, perhaps enough to produce some very
02:55light showers, very hit and miss showers, though.
02:57By the afternoon, many areas will be dry.
02:59This swirl of showers will still continue to cross Scotland.
03:03Once again, some heavier downpours here later into the afternoon.
03:06A good dip in temperatures as well across the north.
03:10Highs as we head into Thursday, only reaching around 17 to 18 degrees.
03:14Still fairly warm across parts of the south, into the low to mid-20s for many areas.
03:20The warmest of the conditions across the far southeast.
03:23But overall, it's not going to be as hot as Wednesday.
03:26So still pleasant in the sunshine, probably just overall a bit more of a pleasant heat as
03:30we head towards the end of the week.
03:33So there's going to be a big temperature difference on Thursday.
03:36We can see, particularly across parts of the south and southeast, it's going to be a much
03:40cooler, fresher day.
03:41But still some areas of Northern Ireland will see temperatures slightly higher, so perhaps
03:45a little bit warmer here.
03:46But on the whole, it is going to be a cooler day as we head into Thursday.
03:50Still a very dry picture towards the end of the week.
03:53It's the northwest, which will catch some showers at times.
03:56But otherwise, high pressure, very much dominating.
03:58So temperatures will start to come down, but on the whole, it is still going to remain
04:03very dry.
