00:02It's not going to feel quite like autumn tomorrow, with temperatures pushing into the low to
00:06mid-20s for many of us, but the question is, will the warmth come with any sunshine?
00:11Well, for the time being this evening, there will actually be plenty of clear skies to
00:14finish off the day, but it will soon be changing across the north, thicker areas of cloud pushing
00:19in from the north-west, and through the early hours of the morning, there will also be some
00:23rain, leading to quite a wet start across western areas of Scotland, quite grey across
00:27northern Ireland and parts of northern England.
00:30To the south of this, though, it should remain dry, we'll see a mix of cloud and also some
00:34clearer skies.
00:35Under the clear spells, temperatures could get down to the low single figures, and there
00:39could also be some shallow fog in places, but most towns and cities holding up between 9
00:44to 11 degrees Celsius.
00:47So a bit of a chillier start for some, but skies soon clearing across much of England and Wales,
00:53certainly across the south through the course of the day.
00:55Very different, though, across the north, it's likely to stay quite cloudy through much
00:59of the day, some quite grey skies out there, also with some rain and drizzle continuing,
01:03particularly across western hills of Scotland.
01:06Also still some rain and drizzle across parts of Northern Ireland and north-west England,
01:10and it could turn quite cloudy by the afternoon across Wales and south-west England.
01:15The best of the brightness will be across central England and parts of the south and south-east.
01:19But whether you're under cloudy skies or sunny skies, it is going to feel quite warm, possibly
01:24quite humid towards the end of the day, with many towns and cities pushing into the low
01:28to mid-twenties.
01:31Then to finish off the day, we'll continue to see that north-south split in the weather.
01:35Still quite grey, quite cloudy across the north, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle continuing.
01:40Some of this will also push into Wales and south-west England, also across the northern
01:44hills of England as well.
01:46Once again under any clearer skies, particularly across the south of England, also southern areas
01:51of Wales, we could see some low clouds, some mist and fog once again through Tuesday morning.
01:56And it could still turn quite chilly, certainly across the south under any clearest skies.
01:59But on the whole, for many of us, it should be a slightly milder night compared to the
02:04previous one.
02:05Then heading into Tuesday, we still remain in that north-south split of our weather.
02:10We've got this front slowly sinking its way south-eastwards, bringing further rain to parts
02:15of Scotland, also Northern Ireland, and at times we'll see some showery outbreaks of rain
02:19across northern parts of England and also Wales.
02:22Still the best of the sunshine will be across the far south and south-east.
02:26Temperatures are fairly similar into Tuesday as well, still pushing widely into the low
02:31to mid-twenties, and it's still going to feel quite humid by the afternoon.
02:36Now for the rest of the week, we don't see much change, with high pressure still holding
02:40on across much of the south, though, so there'll still be lots of dry weather with some sunshine.
02:44At times, we will see low pressure move through, bringing in some further spells of rain towards
02:49the north-west.
02:50It could turn a little bit windy here for a time through Thursday and Friday.
02:54And the other question is around temperatures, because it's quite warm over the next couple
02:58of days, but we'll start to see a transition to something a bit more closer to average for
03:03this point in September towards the end of the week.
03:05And we're really going to notice that transition on Wednesday night, when many areas are going
03:09to be dipping down into the low single figures.
03:11You might even be tempted to switch on the heating through Thursday morning.
