00:00Hello there, good morning. Slightly different feel to the weather today, more cloud around,
00:05some slightly lower temperatures and also more of this behind me. We've got some rain
00:09in the forecast, some much needed rain for many areas. A band of rain will clear its
00:14way through into the morning, some heavy outbreaks at times, turning a bit more showery by the
00:18afternoon, especially across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern parts of England. Some
00:23showers will filter through across central, southern England and Wales, but not really
00:27much. Any showers are mostly going to be hit and miss, and most of them during the morning.
00:32So by the afternoon, many southern areas will remain dry with some sunny spells. Slight difference
00:37in the feel compared to yesterday. Temperatures are a touchdown, highs reaching around 24 to
00:4225 degrees Celsius. Still that fresher air across many northern areas, highs between 17
00:48to 19 degrees Celsius here. And even though there is some rain in the forecast, it's really
00:54not as much as we need. We've had a very dry summer so far, especially in the south. So
00:59we're still waiting for that more significant rainfall to make a difference for gardeners
01:03and also some growers. Now, later on into the evening, for many areas, it will still remain
01:08dry. There will be some showers which will filter its way southward. Some of these could
01:12be heavy, actually, across southern Scotland and north-east England towards the end of the
01:16day. A mix of clearer skies and also some cloud, the cloudier spots mostly in the west where
01:22there will still be some showers. But under the clearest skies, it's actually going to
01:25be a bit cooler, a bit of a fresher night to come, especially across rural areas of Scotland.
01:30Some areas here could reach around the mid-single figures. But overall, it's not going to be
01:34quite as mild as the night previous.
01:37Now heading into Monday, once again, a bit of a mix. We'll see some clouds, some showers
01:41mostly feeding in to western areas, getting their way eastwards. But they'll be mostly light.
01:46And many areas of England and Wales are going to be dry, once again, with some
01:51sunshine. Perhaps some thicker cloud moving into the west later on into the day. Northern
01:55Ireland, north-west Wales could pick up some showers as a result. And notice the temperatures
02:00are starting to climb back up once again, highs of around 26 to 27 degrees. But Northern Ireland,
02:05eastern areas of Scotland should see a slightly warmer day, highs reaching around 20 degrees
02:09Celsius here. And to be honest, as the day goes on, those temperatures are going to climb
02:15even more. High pressure is still very much dominating. The south is still staying very dry here.
02:20And areas of low pressure are at times sweeping the far north-west. So we could see a bit more
02:24cloud and some rain here. But otherwise, still a very dry picture. And as high pressure continues
02:30to build across the near continent, we follow those winds round, we're going to pick up a
02:35bit of a southerly. So gathering more warmer air from Europe and temperatures are going to
02:40climb day by day. A chance we could push into another heat wave of the summer. Of course,
