00:00Godzilla Minus Zero just dropped its second teaser trailer and anticipation for the film

00:04has exploded.

00:06Welcome to Dangerville my friends, this is Jacob and we're going to get right into this

00:10breakdown and even the new epic poster that showcases the clearest shot yet of the new

00:15Minus Zero Godzilla.

00:16As well as more hints at the rumored big anime that's going to have you excited, so let's

00:21get to it.

00:22Now this is only a teaser, so I'm not going to spend 30 minutes exploring every little

00:26detail.

00:27And a good portion of it was scenes that we already saw in the first teaser, but the

00:31new reveals, while brief, get right into the meat of the story for Godzilla Minus Zero.

00:37It starts off showing the destruction we saw in the first teaser, but this time the speaker

00:42brings up the big guy himself.

00:44Which will be followed up here shortly after this because the next shot in the teaser is

00:48of Godzilla himself.

00:49And that's what I know y'all want me to focus on mostly here.

00:52One of the most famous scenes from Minus One was when Godzilla's dorsal plate shot out

00:57of his back right before unleashing his atomic fury.

01:00And Takashi and the team know just how much that scene affected everyone cause here we

01:04go again.

01:05This time though you can really tell the budget is way higher and the CGI team has pretty

01:09much perfected their craft this time around.

01:12The contrast of the dark grey destruction against Godzilla's beautiful blue glow is fantastic

01:17here.

01:18And really the entire editing like the color grading for Minus Zero seems spot on.

01:23This just feels right for Godzilla, what do you think?

01:26The big guy's definitely got an upgrade and stick with me cause there's more Godzilla to

01:30come.

01:31But now we finally get to who's speculating about Godzilla.

01:34Quick note here, all the cast from Minus One will be returning in Minus Zero, which is

01:39nice to know.

01:40But there is one major new character, this guy.

01:42Right now we don't have a name for this character, but still this role will be played by Min Tanaka.

01:48And he tells us that Godzilla can withstand a thermonuclear strike, which is vastly stronger

01:54than the explosion we saw mutate Godzilla in Minus One.

01:58And I don't want to speculate too much, I told you guys I'd keep this simple, but hey this

02:02guy's speculating about Godzilla so I'm gonna speculate about him speculating, Savvy.

02:07I think the humans are going to make a new sci-fi like weapon to combat the monster threat,

02:11and we will get to more on that after we take a look at what I believe to be a

02:15hunk of Godzilla's

02:16dorsal plate that someone must have found.

02:18Being contained for research, clearly by the type of container it's in, and I think the

02:23scientists are studying this, learning how to best deal with Godzilla's biology and fight

02:28back if it ever comes down to another monster attack.

02:31Next we see this device, clearly this is a tool of science, and they are only showing it

02:36in the trailer because it must be a clue.

02:39So I looked up that word on the device and I'm probably mispronouncing it, but Resonanzwell,

02:45which is German in a compound two-part noun.

02:49Resonanz, which means resonance, and well, which means wave.

02:53Resonance is complicated, but more or less is when something vibrates so intensely thanks

02:59to an external force driving it that its power reaches insane levels.

03:03And a wave is just like a sound wave, or a radio wave, a frequency in which something

03:09usually energy travels.

03:11Now could this be a new type of weapon being explored?

03:14The guy earlier did say Godzilla can take the strongest bombs we got, and then did this

03:19little shit-eating grin like he had some big idea.

03:22Plus he screams mad scientist, what do you think?

03:25The next sequence is simple, someone pointing to a spot on a map.

03:29Clearly something's gonna happen in this spot, that's all I got for this.

03:32Alright, here's more evidence that humanity is playing God again with new weaponology.

03:37We see a Japanese plane, which I was unable to find the exact World War II era bomber plane

03:43that this would be, but it definitely matches the overall look of most that Japan had around

03:48that time.

03:49And beneath the bomber we see the lines, another moral boundary mankind shouldn't cross.

03:54Said by Doc from the first movie, Kenji Noda, this has to be a play on the creation of the

03:59atomic bomb.

04:01And this dialogue is telling us that someone is trying to play God again and create another

04:06weapon of mass destruction.

04:07And here we see Doc standing in the aftermath of something big and deadly.

04:12We then get a quick shot of Noriko.

04:13It looks like she's trying to live a normal life, but it's clear now that she lost her

04:18eye or it's slowly becoming something else, who knows.

04:22But clearly the human characters are going to be at odds about what needs to be done to

04:26defeat Godzilla and the potential new threat that we're going to get a hint on very soon.

04:31Koichi then gives Doc a haymaker that would make Don Frye's mustache twitch.

04:35Someone give this guy a cameo already.

04:38Back to Koichi being big mad at the Doc, screaming in his iconic Koichi way, what the hell do

04:44you think you are doing?

04:46To be this passionate I think it can only be two things.

04:50Either Doc and this new character are about to drop the weapon on more innocent people,

04:55or they are trying to possibly drop it on Godzilla.

04:58Maybe they are trying to revive the G-Man to face some new enemy and Koichi with all the

05:03trauma from before still very much troubling him, he's just lost control of his emotions

05:08and is lashing out.

05:09To land this kind of punch on someone you like or have respect for must really mean they are

05:14doing something that is ripping at Koichi's very core, fueling him with anxiety and adrenaline.

05:20The feeling you'll get if you don't go ahead and subscribe to the channel now.

05:23In the end a bomb is getting dropped, and here it is.

05:27Now remember earlier when I mentioned the resonance wave?

05:31Take a look at the center of the bomb, what's that look like to you?

05:35That right there sure does look like some sort of frequency wave.

05:39Now this is just speculation, remember that, a bit of fun, I hope you're having fun watching.

05:44I do think this could be the new weapon that was teased throughout this entire teaser.

05:49Ultimately, Takashi and his team over there at Toho are killing it with hints and clues

05:53for this movie.

05:54I wish Legendary tried this hard for real.

05:57But what color is that wave decal in the middle of the bomb?

06:00Gold.

06:00I wonder why.

06:02As the bomb falls and the screen jumps to black we see this line.

06:06Our crime and punishment.

06:08Returning to zero is not an option.

06:10Once again, more clues that humans are making a terrible new weapon because they have to.

06:15And with it, there will be punishment.

06:18I can't get over how awesome this is, I'm super intrigued, like I can't wait to see

06:22how close my little theory is.

06:25And since Takashi and Toho know exactly what we want to see, the teaser ends with a glorious

06:30extended shot of Godzilla breaching the ocean behind the plane.

06:34Yeah we saw this in the first teaser, but now it's been extended so we can see more of

06:38the big guy.

06:39Take a look at his big ol' arms and that hand.

06:41Way more developed than in the first movie, looking like a full on lizard foot now.

06:46Alright so the teaser is over with, let's get to the new epic poster for the movie which

06:50not only shows the most yet of Godzilla, but also the big clue to the potential new monster

06:55in the movie.

06:56Feast your eyes on this, what a badass poster.

06:59This is how you do it.

07:01Godzilla looks amazing in minus zero.

07:03You can tell he still has the same overall base design that we saw in minus one.

07:07The folds in his hide are deeper and more grotesque, while probably working to give the king even

07:13more armor this time around.

07:15His arms retain their stiff positioning, which you can tell they're going to be way more

07:19useful this time around.

07:21And his dorsal plates, while retaining a similar look, are just larger and more intense, especially

07:26down his tail.

07:27The biggest change we can see to his design is the shape of his head.

07:30His neck is beefed up, giving him that linebacker look more.

07:33And his head is less rounded and more square and angular, giving him more of an adult, mature

07:39looking face.

07:40He's no longer new in his mutated form.

07:43This is Godzilla becoming peak.

07:45It's very subtle, but you can just get the sense that Godzilla is more aggressive, capable

07:50and comfortable in his new skin.

07:52But what exactly is he roaring towards here?

07:55He's not looking down like it's at humans, and I don't see Koichi in his plane anywhere.

07:59But I do see a big yellow glow coming from the sky, with what appears to be lightning

08:04bolts shooting down that just so happened to be occurring the same time that all this

08:08rubble and debris is being lifted off the ground like gravity had disappeared.

08:14Is this, along with the gold wave on the bomb earlier, more clever clues placed by Takashi

08:20Yamazaki and Toho?

08:21I sure think so, tell me what you think.

08:23Not only is this poster peak, the entire marketing campaign so far for Minus Zero has been top

08:29of the line.

08:30They aren't showing much at all, but what they do show is riddled with hints and clues

08:34for us fans to have fun with.

08:36Takashi, you're a king to me right now man, you got me hooked, and I'm rooting for you

08:40and Godzilla Minus Zero.

08:42I can't wait!
