00:12What up, residents? It's your mate Alistair reporting live from deep within my bunker.
00:16Godzilla's rampaging again. I think it's because I forgot to give him walkies.
00:19He still doesn't know how to roll over.
00:21So outside it's too radioactive to breathe, which marks a good time to go over the latest atomic news.
00:27And we have quite a bit to get through, including a bunch of new figures, an update on Miner Zero,
00:33a new MonsterVerse game that just released, as well as news on the upcoming Godzilla X-Kong spin-off series.
00:39So let's not waste any more time, let's get to it.
00:42First off, I just want to say thank you to everyone that donated to our Titans Against Blood Cancer charity.
00:47We managed to raise over $1,900 for Blood Cancer United in their fight against the disease.
00:52And that money will help pay for clinical trials to hopefully one day find a cure.
00:57I wanted to do it because not only did Sam Neill pass from pneumonia after an exhausting battle with blood
01:02cancer,
01:02but also my mum was diagnosed with a very similar condition,
01:05which makes this whole thing very personal to me.
01:07So thank you so much, we could not have done it without you.
01:11But now into the fun stuff, let's talk about some slutty new figures,
01:14because there are some really awesome and actually quite unexpected ones here.
01:18First off, Megaguirus is getting a new figure from Haya.
01:23Now the film she features in isn't exactly amazing, but I always liked the kaiju itself,
01:28and the fact that Haya is giving us a new figure is really cool to see.
01:32And the details on this thing is just crazy.
01:35Haya never misses.
01:37It will be 9.7 inches long,
01:40and is currently listed for $89.99,
01:43and is set to release Q4 2027, and you can pre-order it now from INS Hobby.
01:49Another figure who will probably get at least a few of you really excited is Godzilla Ultima,
01:54who as well is getting the higher treatment.
01:57And this thing looks awesome.
01:59No matter what you thought of the show, you have to agree that at least this design kicks ass.
02:04And the figure itself looks to get everything down to a T,
02:07even more than SH Monster Arts, which is somehow even more expensive than this.
02:12The figure stands at 6.7 inches tall, and a whopping 27.5 inches long,
02:18and will bite $99.99 from your wallet when it releases Q4 2027.
02:25That's more than I spent in the red light district. Best, best three minutes of my life.
02:28Haya's even got something for the MonsterVerse fans as well,
02:31with the announcement of a Kong and Zuko pack,
02:34featuring both Titans, three interchangeable heads and hand sculpts,
02:38his battle axe, and even a big old chunk of that drowned Viper meat.
02:42So you can pose them like they're in that scene where they bonded for the first time.
02:46There's no new sculpts here, and unfortunately it's limited to
02:49Shanghai Wonder Festival happening early October.
02:52So unless you're going to that, then you probably won't care.
02:55Finally, we jump into SH figure arts territory now,
02:58as Bandai has announced a brand new Gyrus figure, the infamous Ultraman Kaiju,
03:04that reused an old Godzilla suit, where they slapped on a big frill to try and differentiate
03:08it from the King of the Monsters, making it look like a Godzilla-Dilophosaurus hybrid.
03:13Now this sculpt is particularly significant because it's being handled by Yuji Sakai,
03:19one of the most important Godzilla sculptors in the franchise.
03:22Sakai actually worked as a 3D sculptor and designer on Godzilla 2000,
03:28helping bring that version of Godzilla to life.
03:30Now he's back to handle the sculpt of this new Gyrus figure,
03:33which should hopefully make it one of the most authentic Kaiju releases in the SH figure arts
03:38lineup. And I've got to say, it looks incredible.
03:42This might actually be the first Ultraman SH figure I end up picking up.
03:46The figure will be 6.9 inches tall, nice, and will release March 2027 for 15,400 yen,
03:55which is about $98, but it's probably going to cost more after factoring import and tax and all that.
04:00But the newly announced figures all look awesome and I'll definitely be picking these up,
04:04especially Gyrus, which is probably my favorite Ultraman monster,
04:08and it's definitely not just because it looks like Godzilla.

04:14Next up, let's go over the latest Godzilla Miner Zero news.
04:18In an interview just last week, Takashi Yamazaki stated that scenes in the upcoming film
04:23were directly inspired by Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds.
04:28He explained that he was particularly inspired by how War of the Worlds
04:31shows the destruction from the perspective of ordinary people,
04:34making the threat feel relentless and inescapable.
04:38Yamazaki said he brought the same approach into Miner Zero,
04:41which I just thought was interesting to mention because last week,
04:44I made a video on how Miner Zero could take elements from the War of the Worlds,
04:48in how they demonstrate just how horrifying it would be for a post-World War II society
04:53to be met with a terrifying alien force, much more powerful than they can comprehend.
04:58And then a few days later, Yamazaki states War of the Worlds as one of his inspirations.

05:06I'm hoping it means we get a scene like this in Miner Zero,
05:10with Ghidorah's gravity beam just vaporizing everyone below,
05:13as we see it all from the terrified perspective of these humans.
05:17That would just be insane to watch.
05:19Also, we're only a few days away from seeing some of the first impressions of Miner Zero,
05:23as it has its screening at New York Film Festival on September 26th,
05:27and the chances are spoilers are going to start flooding out almost immediately,
05:31so I'd stay clear of the internet for a while.
05:34It's honestly kind of a dumb way to release a movie, if you ask me, but what do I know?
05:38Now heading into the Monsterverse, a new game mode has released for Godzilla X-Kong Titan Chases,
05:44called Titan Clash, which lets you actually take control of the Titans themselves.
05:49It marks probably the biggest update in the game's history, adding eight playable Titans,
05:55ranging from the Alpha Titans like Godzilla, Kong and Shimo,
05:58to the super species like War Bat, Siren Jaw and the Alpha Skullcrawlers.
06:02Each Titan has their own abilities, damage types, status effects, movement and stagger mechanics,
06:08so there's actually quite a bit of strategy involved in deciding how you attack and when to use certain abilities.
06:14As you win battles, your Titans gain XP and level up, whilst winning clashes also earns faction reputation,
06:20and resources that can be used to unlock more Titans.
06:23It's a pretty cool mode to be honest, I had the chance of playtesting it and spent a good few
06:27hours on it,
06:28and I had a lot of fun, so if you've been away from the game for a while and were
06:31waiting for something big,
06:32now is the time to hop back in.
06:34Now let's take a look at the upcoming Godzilla X-Kong spin-off, currently codenamed Bird Watcher.
06:40A lot of set foes and videos have leaked for this thing, giving us a better look at what to
06:45expect from the show.
06:46Bird Watcher is a prequel spin-off, centered on a young Lee Shaw, played again by Wyatt Russell.
06:52Set in 1984 during the Cold War, the story follows Shaw as he goes undercover on a secret mission,
06:58to stop the Soviet Union from unleashing a Titan powerful enough to destroy the United States,
07:03and potentially change the course of the Cold War.
07:05The cast also includes Millie Brady, Pilo Aspek, Corey Stoll, Ralph Inneson, Nyasha Hatendi, Connie Nielsen, and Stana Katik,
07:15with Joby Harald serving as the showrunner, and J.D. Dillard directing the pilot.
07:20He previously directed the creature feature Sweetheart, starring everyone's favorite monarch character, May.
07:26So hopefully his experience with monsters helps when it comes to this series.
07:30Production is currently underway, with filming taking place in Prague and London.
07:35Which means passersby have been catching glimpses of the shoot.
07:39They seem to be really nailing the early 80s aesthetic,
07:41with the vintage cars helping set the scene for the Cold War setting.
07:45I think they're using Prague as a stand-in for somewhere in the USSR.
07:48It could be Moscow, Ukraine, the Baltic Republics.
07:52It's really hard to say until we get a shot of some flags.
07:55It's hard to say at this current point in time, but we have some evidence that points towards it being
07:59set in Ukraine.
08:00We see this mural of three workers standing together to represent unity,
08:04with a text in Ukrainian stating glory to the CPSU, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
08:11With a white dove in the back to represent peace, but it's also potentially a reference to the birdwatcher naming,
08:17which could be relevant to the story.
08:19We get some more Soviet propaganda in a location where it looks like there will be a stunt involving someone
08:24jumping or being thrown from a window.
08:27Which for some reason is a common problem in Russia.
08:29And we even see the man, the myth, the legend, Wyatt Russell preparing for the shoot.
08:34Probably the most interesting of the new images is this shot of what appears to be Russia's Titan research program.
08:41Which I suppose is their equivalent to Monarch, but instead of wanting to research the Titans, they want to use
08:46them for war.
08:48Underneath the logo appears to be the Russian letters KBT, which seems to be the organization's equivalent to the KGB.
08:56Which is the committee for state security.
08:58Which doesn't really boil down what it could mean much.
09:01It could be the committee of biotechnology or command of biological Titans.
09:06Honestly, what's more important is the logo itself.
09:09It appears to be a Titan claw print, representing that this organization specializes around giant super species.
09:16Now I'm not sure if it's just me, but this looks somewhat like a bird print.
09:20I don't know what it is, I think it's the long claw like fingers.
09:24But also the fact it's called Bird Watcher, and the fact that Rodan was just revealed to be in Monarch,
09:29makes me think that this series will be focused around Rodan.
09:33It would make sense if they want to try explain how Rodan is even on this Malaysian volcano, several years
09:38before he was meant to wake up in King of the Monsters.
09:40Rodan originally was a metaphor for Cold War tension, so it would bring the monster's original themes full circle in
09:48a way that hasn't been explored for decades.
09:49And also seeing Rodan in the freezing Russian tundra would honestly just make for some really cool imagery.
09:59So if this is true and Rodan really is in it, my hype for this show just doubled.
10:04I really hope they nail this thing and it's a lot more espionage, Bond-like action, instead of teen drama
10:09like Legacy of Monsters was.
10:13I think Godzilla stopped having a tantrum, which means I can thankfully leave my bunker.
