King Ghidorah is ready to battle Godzilla AGAIN. In this Godzilla Minus Zero theory, Ghidorah's origin in this new era of goji story telling is mysterious and being kept locked up by Toho and director Takashi Yamazaki but Im here to give you a possible explanation!

00:00There's been hints, there's been clues, but finally Ghidorah has been officially confirmed to be the second monster in Godzilla
00:07Minus Zero.
00:08What's up residents, Jacob here. Welcome to this dangerous place of Goji and now apparently Ghidorah again like for the
00:1510th time actually.
00:16Destined to fight forever, Godzilla and Ghidorah are set to face off in Takashi Yamazaki's upcoming chapter in Godzilla history.
00:23But why? And how is Ghidorah going to start his rampage of terror? Why is it even here in the
00:30first place?
00:31Well, I fired up the old theory grill again and have a list of theories and ideas to explain all
00:37of this.
00:38Remember everyone, these are just ideas, theories, but I put a lot of thought into this and think we're on
00:43to something you guys would love to hear about.
00:45So sit back and feel free to add your own input in the comments as we go.
00:49First things first, how does Ghidorah exist in this universe?
00:53What sort of origin story would he have in this more grounded world created by Takashi Yamazaki?
00:59And the real big question is, what's your favorite dinosaur?
01:03Why is Ghidorah attacking humanity and also what seems to be Godzilla too?
01:08I think we're going to have to go back to Godzilla Minus One and see what could possibly tie into
01:13the story of Godzilla Minus Zero.
01:15Back on Odo Island, Godzilla came from a creature who was for all intents and purposes,
01:20a normal old animal, being described as a dinosaur-like beast of both myth and clearly reality,
01:27already living on Earth as a pre-established being or species on the planet.
01:31Pretty much smacking us in the face with the knowledge that these fantasy-like monsters
01:36and some crazy-ass types of energy do exist on this take of Earth.
01:40Then Godzilla is mutated by the atomic bomb tests made into the terror we now have stomping around.
01:47This new form for the G-Man allowed himself to self-heal at rapid rates almost instantly,
01:52thanks to his new G-cells, if you will.
01:55When Godzilla died, he released a ton of his blue atomic energy into the surrounding area,
02:01straight up polluting the air and water with Zilla juice.
02:04Hey Toho, hit me up for a new merchandising idea that just popped in my head.
02:08And the last thing to remember, Noriko's condition at the end of the story being shown
02:13with what I'm going to call a form of Zilla sickness, where Godzilla's cells are fusing with her own.
02:19Remember all of these as we go, because they may have been the first clues that Ghidorah was headed to
02:24town.
02:25What if Ghidorah's origins go down a traditional route?
02:28What if gonorrhea came from an alien world?
02:30What if Ghidorah was E.T. or some ancient lost-the-time organism?
02:35This is a bit of a basic trope in the kaiju world, but there's a reason for that.
02:40It's typically the simplest way of introducing a monster that doesn't seem real.
02:45Just say it's from space and problem solved.
02:48And this makes more sense in Minus Zero because having Ghidorah arrive in its full final form
02:53would seem stupid to some extent in this grounded universe.
02:57It works for other universes and eras of Goji movies, but not so much here.
03:01But what if the monster first arrives on a fallen meteorite or in some old asteroid strike from millions of
03:07years ago?
03:08This still gives us our alien invader trope.
03:11It makes it all feel a little more plausible than a massive monster just flying through space.
03:17It could be months.
03:18It could be years.
03:19It could be eons ago.
03:20But it's a possibility that Ghidorah arrived from space in some form or another long before Godzilla surfaced.
03:27And this alien organism may not have even still been alive.
03:31It might have been a fossil with just a bit of DNA still within it.
03:35Or at the very least, in a state of limbo.
03:37Not dead, but not alive either.
03:39Stuck in a hunk of space rock floating through space for the rest of time until it reached Earth.
03:45Crashing down into the Pacific Ocean, the DNA of this ancient alien life form stayed there.
03:51Until above it on the surface, a great battle was coming to its climax.
03:56Godzilla had just been defeated.
03:58His body breaking down and imploding from within.
04:01Unleashing high levels of atomic radiation and G-cells into the surrounding area.
04:06Into the air and into the ocean.
04:08Drifting and sinking all the way to the ocean's floor.
04:12But I have one bit of evidence that really kickstarts this theory.
04:17We know that Godzilla's atomic blast is capable of doing more than just causing insane destruction.
04:23Somehow, Noriko's body absorbed some of this energy after the first strike sent her flying.
04:29There is no way she should have survived this.
04:31But she's not only survived, she's apparently healed completely now.
04:35All signs of her injuries and infection are now seemingly gone in the trailer.
04:40This tells us that Godzilla's G-cells have fused with her own.
04:45Possibly even bringing her back to life after her body was broken.
04:49And then proceeding to heal her fully.
04:52Just like how Godzilla can self-heal and regenerate his entire body.
04:56And if Godzilla's G-cells were able to do this with a human.
04:59Then why couldn't it with any other life form?
05:03Ones that may even be dormant.
05:05What if Ghidorah is showing up because when Godzilla died.
05:09That his DNA came in contact with the alien organism.
05:13And kickstarted a chain of events that led to...
05:16It awakens and grows.
05:19Any old injuries healed.
05:21And now acquiring a newfound connection with Godzilla's own powers.
05:25But that doesn't necessarily mean the organism would mutate to Godzilla levels.
05:29Clearly Noriko isn't becoming a giant She-Zilla.
05:33However there's a good chance that Ghidorah will be powerful enough to still start to attack the world.
05:39But wait what if this is all wrong?
05:41What if it wasn't by chance alone that Ghidorah now rises?
05:44What if mankind had made the beast?
05:47This seems a little too sci-fi for this take on Ghidorah.
05:51However there is one other story that could be the clue.
05:54Godzilla GMK.
05:55The only time Ghidorah was not an enemy or villain.
05:59But a heroic savior awakened to fight the true monster Godzilla.
06:04Could this be the true route Takashi is taking with his version of Monster Zero.
06:09Where the humans would summon and use Ghidorah to hopefully defeat Godzilla for real this time.
06:14In Minus Zero I don't think the exact story of GMK Ghidorah could work.
06:19However I think the humans of this story could still use this ancient alien organism as a weapon.
06:25After injecting it with some of Godzilla's own G-Cells.
06:28That we now know they acquire.
06:31I don't think it's possible for World War 2 era technology to create a brand new monster from scratch.
06:37Even with some fantasy liberties thrown into the equation.
06:40But they could rush the process along forcing Godzilla's G-Cells into this organism.
06:46Unknowing really of what it would become.
06:49This is after all how Godzilla was created.
06:51As we move this theory forward.
06:53I'm gonna stick with the more plausible route in my mind.
06:56That Ghidorah was an organism that absorbed Godzilla's essence.
07:00As he melted down in the ocean at the end of Minus One.
07:03Which that ultimately led to the creature reach its final form.
07:06With or without more help from the humans.
07:09But the trailer does make us think that this will be some form of prophecy.
07:14That Ghidorah's existence is connected to something bigger.
07:17What type of prophecy though?
07:19I don't think Ghidorah's gonna be some benevolent beast.
07:22That uses the souls of brave warriors.
07:24To become powerful enough to fight Godzilla like in GMK.
07:28But the idea of an organism.
07:30Maybe alien.
07:31Maybe not.
07:31Already being present on earth.
07:33And then being unleashed on Godzilla.
07:35Does fit what we have seen so far from Minus Zero.
07:38We already know that this version of earth does contain mythological dragon-like creatures.
07:44And that everyone seems to treat it like it's a normal thing.
07:47And not so out of the question for them to just think it's nonsense.
07:51If Godzilla existed on Odo Island.
07:53So could this precursor to Ghidorah somewhere out in the ocean.
07:58And with that it's not too far fetched to think that the locals would connect Ghidorah to some prophecy.
08:03I'm still not sure on who's gonna show up first in Minus Zero.
08:07I almost feel like Ghidorah will first appear.
08:10The shot of Godzilla surfacing in the ocean.
08:13And the giant storm is either a coincidence.
08:15Or it's a sign that Ghidorah's reign had already begun.
08:19This overcast is present throughout the trailer.
08:22Which could mean that Ghidorah has created a gigantic geomagnetic storm surrounding everything.
08:27While the true origin of King Ghidorah in Minus Zero is still unclear.
08:32These theories ultimately lead to the inevitable.
08:36Humans are gonna lure Godzilla and Ghidorah to battle one another.
08:39Fight fire with fire.
08:41And we saw glimpses of this battle in the trailer.
08:44Which ends in Godzilla seemingly being defeated.
08:47His body may be laying on the ground broken and lifeless.
08:51His energy spewing out all around.
08:54This could be the explanation to this mysterious blue energy that is being ripped into the sky.
09:00With what is very likely Ghidorah's own anti-gravity biology interacting with Godzilla's there.
09:06Since Ghidorah was mutated by Godzilla's G-Cells in this theory.
09:11They now share the same DNA in a sense.
09:14And their energies were attracted to one another.
09:16Trying to become whole again.
09:18This could be why Koichi is so devastated at this moment.
09:21They thought Godzilla would defeat Ghidorah.
09:24Or even better they would kill each other.
09:26But in the end Ghidorah had seemed victorious.
09:29And was now left completely unchallenged.
09:32And only much worse would come of it.
09:35But Godzilla can't just die.
09:37We know this.
09:38And we got some theories on how this story may play out.
09:41Coming out on the channel.
09:42So you better stick around Dangerville.
09:44Or else you're gonna be stuck hearing.
09:46For the rest of your life.
09:47So as of right now.
09:49This is my theory on how Ghidorah is in minus zero.
09:52From a story standpoint.
09:54His origin.
09:55A creature pre-existing on the planet.
09:57That is no doubt ancient.
09:58And maybe alien.
10:00May just come in contact.
10:01With some collateral that occurred.
10:02As Godzilla's body imploded out in the Pacific.
10:05This caused its DNA to fuse with Godzilla's.
10:09Something that was hinted as a possibility with Noriko.
10:11It heals and connects this creature to Godzilla.
10:14And likely Noriko as well in some way.
10:17From here I think Ghidorah will first rise.
10:19Yet not in full strength.
10:21However I think that Ghidorah will strike another area on the planet first.
10:25Maybe even the US.
10:26Since it's been heavily rumored.
10:28That an American scene is being kept secret in this movie.
10:31Why does Godzilla look so big in the teaser trailer?
10:34Because it wasn't actually Godzilla.
10:36It was Ghidorah.
10:38After the Americans dropped more atomic bombs on it.
10:40And unknowingly once again making another mega monster.
10:44Which then rampages through New York.
10:46Eventually going past the Statue of Liberty.
10:48This could explain why Godzilla looks like how he did in minus one.
10:52It's just a stand-in.
10:54That will eventually be Ghidorah.
10:56If that's the case.
10:57Well done Takashi.
10:59Now our crew back in Japan will have to fight the moral battle of using Godzilla.
11:03Luring him to now fight Ghidorah.
11:05As much as I want to say King Ghidorah could be the good guy.
11:09We know there won't be any good monsters in Minus Zero.
11:13Godzilla will be lured to fight Ghidorah.
11:15And then the epic battle will happen.
11:17And Godzilla will lose.
11:20At first.
11:20His blue energy releasing out of his badly damaged body.
11:24Is then lifted into the sky by Ghidorah's geomagnetic storm.
11:27And mind-blowing powers we can't comprehend.
11:30Ghidorah's energy and Godzilla's being drawn to one another.
11:33Because they are the same types of energies.
11:36Godzilla's G-cells were now part of Ghidorah's own biology.
11:41Monster Zero then leaves.
11:43Leaving everyone to think.
11:45How could this get any worse?
11:46The world is doomed.
11:48And I'll complete this theory with a later video.
11:50So stay tuned.
