REDBUDDD MREDBUDDD MOTO 1 IS IN THE BOOKS! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Welcome back to GLOBAL RACING for the official racing action at Round 7 of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship! The gate has officially dropped under the scorching Michigan sun, and Moto 1 delivered absolute chaos, bar-to-bar battles, and a brutal test of endurance on a deeply rutted, rough RedBud track.

The morning speed was no fluke! Continuing his absolute tear, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s young phenom Cole Davies (#37) backed up his fastest qualifying time with a flawless, statement-making victory in 250MX Moto 1. Davies grabbed a prime start, managed his gaps perfectly through the brutal braking bumps, and showcased incredible corner speed to take the checkered flag and lock down the opening moto win.

But the battle behind him kept the RedBud crowd on their feet. Throwing down a massive performance was Caden Dudney (#82), who rode with incredible intensity, hitting creative inside lines and pushing his machine to the absolute limit to secure a stellar second-place finish. Rounding out the podium in third was the veteran presence of Jo Shimoda (#30), who mounted a furious charge late in the moto, slicing through the deep, technical slot-car ruts and tracking down the leaders to keep himself firmly in the overall hunt.

The RedBud clay is completely chewed up now. Massive square-edge bumps right before the faces of the obstacles and brutal rollers have made passing incredibly difficult, rewarding the riders who can manage their energy and maintain momentum through the roughest sections.

With Moto 1 officially wrapped up, Cole Davies is sitting in the driver's seat for the overall. Can the #37 clean sweep the day in Moto 2, or will Dudney, Shimoda, and the rest of the 250 field bring the heavy pressure when the gate drops for the final showdown?

We are bringing you the complete breakdown of the lines, the heavy roost, and the technical execution that defined this epic first moto.

00:00to everyone out there. America's birthday
00:02250. These points are going to have
00:04to show out for you guys. The fans have shown
00:06up here. Let's get this
00:08party started.
00:11Hey, subscribe
00:12so you don't miss the next
00:14moto. First qualifying session
00:16much better with third overall
00:17and the second one.
00:19We'll see what he can do off the gate. That's also been
00:22up and down for him this year.
00:24Yeah, leave out another guy who's been based
00:26on starts and last year he got second
00:28that first moto, went down the second
00:30moto and again
00:31he's got to get off the gate. He's got Cole Davies
00:34on the inside of him. See if they worked
00:36on any of the starts over the break.
00:38Yeah, he's done great work through the
00:40pack this year but it's cost him a couple other
00:42wins. Nate Thrasher, good to see him back
00:44in action. He had some injury troubles
00:46early in the pro motocross campaign
00:47and Kanan Dudney showing speed.
00:50This rookie second
00:52fastest in qualifying today.
00:55He's had motos outside
00:56of the points. He's had races
00:58where he's finished on the podium. He's done a little bit of
01:00everything so far this year.
01:02Guess what? He said it comes down to starts. What a surprise
01:05for the rookie. He knows
01:06the key. He knows us out.
01:08So this is it everybody.
01:10Everyone fired up the 5-11
01:12Red Bud National.
01:17His crowd, they got drenched last night.
01:20They popped out of the campers. They put the tents
01:22back up and they're at the fence line
01:24to watch this. It's time
01:25to go racing.
01:32Good jump for Dudney
01:34and Davies.
01:36Dudney's got the whole shot.
01:39Not surprised
01:40that Star Racing Yamaha teammates
01:42out here. They probably have some of the fastest
01:44motorcycles and McColl
01:46Davies is exactly where I want to be at.
01:48Up front, you've got to assume that
01:50your teammate is probably going to be
01:52a sight of him, but probably not make it too difficult
01:54on you, but Caden's been riding great all
01:56day, so let's see what he does with the lead.
01:58And then Romano in third. Casey
02:00Cochran, another good start. And listen to this crowd.
02:04Greeting the riders for the first time.
02:06Uphill triple.
02:11Davies to the inside.
02:13Yeah, since they did
02:14some work on the track, you're going to notice that
02:15it's probably only going to be a couple lines that develop
02:18so far in these opening laps. Guys will be able to go
02:20pretty much wide open. This section
02:22they left it, but nonetheless,
02:24Colt's got to be smart as his teammates
02:26just going to go anywhere. It's dry,
02:28anywhere you can go fast. You can start to see
02:30these guys starting to separate themselves already.
02:32But a couple other contenders making
02:34moves. Bomer now up to fourth.
02:36Kitchen fifth. But yep, they got a gap.
02:40Oh no, Bomer was there,
02:42and now he's stuck
02:43in the mud on the inside. He's going to go back
02:46to last. Oh, that's a tough break for him.
02:48You know, literally stuck in a run as another
02:50guy goes off the racetrack, and they have to
02:52push that mud somewhere, so when they get
02:54off that main line, it's going to be very
02:56soft, and that's going to be costly for
02:58Julian, not only for this motor, but
03:00in the points, if he doesn't able to get back up.
03:03Colt almost goes down
03:04right there.
03:07Love
03:08this scene. Crowd going wild.
03:10Here's the replay on Bomer. Yeah, let's see
03:12Julian. He's up, so he's
03:14up in front of these guys, so essentially he gets
03:16in there, looks like the front end buries,
03:17and then the bite stops, he goes over the handlebars,
03:20but where the problem
03:22is, is he's fine, but
03:24the problem is, is like it's an opening lap,
03:26and he's going to get pushed by, passed by
03:28everybody as another guy goes down here.
03:31That's the part
03:32you don't get a start. Well, Julian had a
03:34start, but this other guy probably didn't have it, and
03:36yeah, tough break for him on an opening lap.
03:38Now it's Russell Buceri
03:40who went down there on that first lap
03:42of the 140.
03:43So one lap of the books.
03:46So far, Cade Dudley
03:48getting it done, actually putting a little
03:50distance between himself and Davies.
03:54And Romano closing on Davies
03:56a bit from third.
03:58Cochran battling with
04:00Kitchen
04:01and holding fourth.
04:03Yeah, you saw Cole Davies take a look back.
04:05He wanted to make sure that
04:06that Kawasaki wasn't Levi
04:08Kitchen behind him, but
04:09so far, so good. JT.
04:12Yeah, you know, Levi
04:12Kitchen looks fine here, but I think
04:14he almost got caught trying to outthink
04:16the situation. He didn't want to follow
04:18Cade and Dudley on that opening lap. He was trying
04:20to find a way around him and get to
04:22the lead early. Unfortunately, that
04:24put him into secondary lines, which is
04:26simply slower at the moment.
04:28Instead of making a move forward,
04:30he ended up losing a lot of time, and now he's just a few
04:32seconds back.
04:33Yeah, and that's
04:34all that's done because of the work
04:36they did on the racetrack.
04:38And partly, you don't want to follow, I think,
04:40what Cole's doing, taking a look behind you,
04:42just seeing who's there, kind of
04:44knowing how to play this race. And I'm assuming
04:46as his track breaks in, he's going to close in
04:48on his teammate.
04:51A little bit further back,
04:52Shimoda on the 30 is 8th.
04:54Ryder D. Francisco is quick in qualifying
04:56right in front of him on that
04:58white Rockstar Hux Varnup.
05:00Shimoda on the red Honda.
05:03And they got work to do.
05:04Yeah, I noticed Joe actually had a really
05:06good jump off the start, but because
05:08he didn't qualify that good, he was on
05:10the outside of those guys, and once
05:12you get a jump, you can be even, but if you're
05:13on the outside, you get pushed out, and
05:16that's going to be costly for Joe, especially
05:18with his contenders up in front of, outside
05:20of Julian Romare.
05:22And he's working
05:24deep for Cisco, but can't get him, JT.
05:26Yeah, and what's that saying,
05:28James? You know, if you're on the outside
05:30and you're even, they're leaving, right?
05:31Like, he just basically got down there, and there
05:33was nowhere for him to go.
05:34They just pushed him out wide, and here he sits,
05:36you know, on the back side of the top 10.
05:38Katie.
05:38You know, the qualifying wasn't the best for Joe,
05:40but it was interesting talking to the team.
05:43They said everybody looks at Joe Shimoda
05:44post-qualifying and is a bit worried,
05:46but in talking to his mechanics, Ben Griffiths,
05:48he said he never is.
05:49When it is time to go racing, and the track
05:51suits him like they think this track will,
05:53he can put it together.
05:56Yeah, and I agree with that,
05:57but with this race track
05:59and the fact that it was soft last night,
06:01it changes.
06:01It's not like your normal red,
06:03but it's a lot softer.
06:04So, yeah, normally he'll be able to make his way up,
06:06which I'm sure he will,
06:07but the lines aren't there.
06:09The problem is, as he makes his way up,
06:11he's already 13 seconds behind the leader,
06:14so speed, he's going to be way,
06:17he's going to have to be way faster than everybody
06:18to be able to make that time up,
06:20and so far today he hasn't been.
06:23So it's Dudney now stretching it
06:25to nearly three seconds over Davies,
06:27then Romano, Cochran in Kitchen,
06:30Muneer, then this battle,
06:32DeFrancisco Shimoda,
06:34Shimoda's teammate Jymus comes through next,
06:36and Deacon Deno on the triumph up to 10th.
06:41And for Dudney, that's the first lap led of his career.
06:44He is 16 years old.
06:46Now the age minimum now is 17,
06:49but he raced last year two races,
06:52which grandfathered him in under the old rule,
06:54which was 16.
06:55So, honestly,
06:57these could be the last laps led we ever see
06:59by a 16-year-old in this sport,
07:01at least under AMA rules here in America,
07:04and looking good doing it.
07:06He follows Shimoda.
07:08Yeah, grandfathered and 16 don't really look like
07:11they lined up together,
07:12but yeah, in the case,
07:14and you can start to see, Joe,
07:15how much closer he was to Ryder D earlier the lap,
07:18but now he's lost that gap.
07:20I think that's the same thing that's happening out front
07:22with Cole Davies,
07:23that because of the way to racetrack,
07:24you can't be too close to these guys
07:26unless you're going to try to pass them
07:27because of how soft it is.
07:29Now Levi Kitchen up in that fifth position.
07:32Important moto for Levi.
07:34He doesn't want to do what he did a couple weekends ago
07:36at high point going down early in the race,
07:37but at the same time,
07:38he wants to keep that number 37,
07:40the leaders in check,
07:42because I do believe,
07:44and Levi feels the same way,
07:45he does have the speed to run with anybody in this field,
07:47but he can't lose too much time early in these laps, JT.
07:51Agreed on that, James.
07:52You know, and I would just want to see
07:53the intensity return to his racing.
07:55You know, if you review the first few rounds,
07:57he just had an ability to move through the field.
08:00He had a sense of urgency
08:01and more intensity than anyone around him,
08:03and he could overcome four starts.
08:05That seemed to disappear at high point
08:07where he was just a victim
08:08to wherever he was on the racetrack.
08:10So that would be first and foremost for me,
08:12wanting to see that intensity return to the 47.
08:15A couple battles going on out here.
08:17Kitchen trying to get Cochran.
08:20Couldn't get it done.
08:23Looks like Roderdy and Meneer
08:25in the bottom boxing.
08:27Yeah, to JT's point,
08:28like I agree with that.
08:30You know, I think a lot of it was,
08:32you know, maybe some of the other guys
08:33were feeling it out.
08:34They had to kind of get used to it
08:36since it was an opening round.
08:37So maybe that speed difference,
08:38Levi felt more comfortable,
08:39makes a bigger difference.
08:40But now you're starting to see these guys
08:42starting to solidify where they are
08:44in the musicians,
08:44and you've got to look at Levi
08:46leading the points.
08:48Now he has everything to lose
08:49when you start looking at
08:50you are the leader in the points.
08:52Maybe he's riding a little timid,
08:53but we'll find out as this motor goes on.
08:58Good battle back there in the bottom.
09:00Meneer,
09:02DeFrancisco,
09:02and Shimoda
09:03that just ahead
09:04is that
09:06Kitchen and Cochran battle
09:07all hitting this uphill triple.
09:11So Casey Cochran
09:13showing some signs
09:13alive at high point.
09:14Riding well right now.
09:15Katie,
09:16what are you hearing in his count?
09:17Yeah,
09:17he was seventh at high point there today.
09:19He was eighth in qualifying.
09:21They changed bars this week
09:22from those cross bars
09:23to a fat bar.
09:24And that has allowed him
09:25to feel a little bit,
09:26have better hand feel,
09:27be a little bit more comfortable
09:28on the bike.
09:29Stu,
09:29is that something that
09:30you would say
09:31is beneficial
09:32on a track like this?
09:32Was it for the track?
09:33Do you think it was
09:34for him as a rider?
09:35Well,
09:35I mean,
09:35I think if you're changing it,
09:36it's probably for more
09:37him as a rider
09:38to feel more comfortable
09:40whatever he's looking for.
09:41He's found it.
09:42And then one thing with Casey,
09:43we've seen him start up front.
09:45He has the speed.
09:46But just like any of these other guys,
09:47if they don't,
09:49then they're in the pack
09:49and it's hard to figure out
09:52where you are
09:52when you're just
09:52continuing battling.
09:54And so for them,
09:55having that off break,
09:56they made changes on the bike
09:57and so far,
09:57it looks pretty good for Casey.
09:59Oh yeah,
09:59because look at this, James.
10:00He has actually caught Roboto
10:01and is going for third
10:03as they head to the Sandwoots.
10:04Yeah,
10:04it looks like he's going to have a run
10:06if Nick doesn't close his gap off,
10:07which he actually gets
10:08a good run out of there.
10:09I thought Casey was going to have
10:10a good run through him.
10:11So you notice how close he is
10:13in those berms
10:14because either if you're too far back,
10:16you get rusted,
10:17but if you get really up
10:18on the rear tire of these guys,
10:19you actually miss the route.
10:21So see if Casey can get
10:22on the inside of him.
10:24Oh,
10:24a couple of riders
10:25have tried this inside.
10:26Cochran's going to get it
10:27and move to third,
10:29JT.
10:30Wow,
10:30you see the battle
10:30on the top screen there
10:32on the bottom screen.
10:33This is Joe Shimoda's
10:34worst nightmare
10:35because he has yet again
10:36Caden Muneer
10:37right in front of him
10:38and we're 10 minutes in.
10:39So I'm sure he spent
10:41the last two weekends
10:42trying to forget about
10:43the inability to pass Caden Muneer.
10:45Well,
10:46I guess he's going to have
10:46to get right back
10:47on the horse
10:48and give it another shot
10:48because he's got to move forward
10:50if he wants to continue
10:51this championship fight.
10:53Yeah,
10:53I agree.
10:54And what we saw last time
10:56was,
10:57you know,
10:57it wasn't like Caden Muneer,
10:59excuse me,
10:59was holding him up.
11:01I mean,
11:01he was just blocking him
11:02doing as far as the racing line
11:03and Joe couldn't figure out a way
11:05and eventually,
11:06you know,
11:06that just makes you upset
11:07as a rider.
11:08You start making mistakes.
11:09But this track,
11:10I think everybody has a good pace,
11:11but Joe really is going to have
11:13to just run it in
11:14and do something he didn't do
11:15at high point
11:16because I do believe
11:17he has a little bit more speed
11:18and if he wants to move forward,
11:19he's going to have to get around
11:20the rookie.
11:23Yeah,
11:23and speaking of rookie,
11:24how about things
11:25coming to fruition here
11:26for a Monster Energy
11:27Yamaha Star Racing
11:28with so many young riders
11:30this year,
11:31but now you've got Dudney
11:32who's opened it up
11:33to three seconds
11:34over Davies
11:35and Muneer showing
11:36some signs again,
11:37but the hottest rookie of all,
11:39at least in this moto,
11:41Caden Dudney,
11:41originally out of Iowa,
11:43moved to Texas.
11:45Now on that Florida-Georgia
11:47state line
11:47where all the riders
11:48from Star Racing
11:49live and train
11:51and looks like
11:53another run
11:53coming from Davies,
11:54but so far,
11:55so good for Dudney.
11:56Yeah,
11:57I think what, Caden?
11:58See what Cole is doing
12:00is they're staying out
12:00of that ruse
12:02because he's able
12:03to close in
12:04on his teammate
12:05anytime he wants
12:06and they're pulling away
12:07from the rest of the field,
12:08so I don't think Cole
12:08is really worried
12:09about anything at this point.
12:11JT.
12:13Watching Caden Dudney
12:14make a mistake
12:14as Davies rails
12:15around that outside,
12:16but you know,
12:17Jason,
12:17back in the day
12:18when Caden Dudney
12:19was still in the amateur class
12:20trying to break into the pros,
12:21he hadn't even signed
12:22with Monster Yamaha Star Racing yet.
12:24One of the things
12:25you always told me was,
12:26hey,
12:26he's incredibly talented,
12:27but Supercross
12:28and the starts
12:29have been a little inconsistent.
12:30We don't know yet.
12:31Well,
12:32it seems like
12:32since he's got on this Yamaha,
12:34the starts have come around a bit.
12:37I was thinking more about that.
12:38You see two Yamahas
12:39out front,
12:40and Davies makes the move there.
12:42This dirt,
12:42this racetrack here
12:43at Redbud
12:44is so soft,
12:45and I'm just going to
12:45throw it back to you guys
12:46because this battle
12:47is way too good.
12:47I'm going to jump out
12:48of the way here.
12:48Oh,
12:48don't worry.
12:49Dudney got him back,
12:50so he didn't miss anything.
12:51It's still the same leader.
12:52This is the other thing
12:53Dudney's known for.
12:54He has grit.
12:54He'll fight.
12:57Oh,
12:57Davies giving it
12:58everything he has,
12:59but Dudney holding on.
13:00Yeah,
13:00this is a great race,
13:01and these two ride together
13:02during the week,
13:02so they're familiar
13:03with each other.
13:04You know,
13:05I know Dudney's not worried
13:06about his teammate
13:06coming in
13:07and blasting him out the way,
13:08but these guys
13:09got a good pace.
13:10They're pulling away from him,
13:11and Cole eventually
13:12is going to be tired of this.
13:13He doesn't want this ruse,
13:14and he knows
13:15this is an opportunity
13:16to really run away
13:17with this race
13:18if he can get around
13:18his teammate.
13:19And a little bit further back,
13:21you got Cochran Kitchen,
13:23Romano,
13:23DeFrancisco
13:24battling all around
13:25those podium spots.
13:27It's a freight train
13:28behind Romano right now.
13:29Another attempt
13:30from Davies.
13:31Not enough.
13:33Yeah,
13:33Cole's really just
13:34running it down.
13:35Another opportunity
13:36to be right here
13:37if he can get up
13:38the long side of him.
13:40Once,
13:40Wow.
13:41Just go around him.
13:42Why not?
13:42No!
13:43Dudney says no!
13:44He's not going to let it happen!
13:45What did he just say?
13:46He had a lot of determination.
13:47I told you!
13:48Yeah.
13:50This bottom box
13:51is wild.
13:52You see Shimoda
13:53at the back of that group
13:54trying to make pass.
13:55He's got four riders together.
13:57Well,
13:57Dudney answered.
13:58Now he's pulled away
13:59a little bit.
14:00Yeah,
14:00just simple mistake
14:01by him.
14:03Cole,
14:03and yeah,
14:04he's got that gap,
14:05and then you see
14:05this battle
14:06on the bottom
14:06down here.
14:07These guys are closing
14:08in on each other.
14:09They get caught,
14:10then they slow
14:10each other down,
14:11punches everybody up,
14:12so crazy battle
14:13going on,
14:14but looks like Joe Shimoda
14:15is able to make the pass
14:16around Maneer now.
14:18Yeah,
14:19there he goes.
14:20So Joe's up to
14:22seventh spot.
14:24So yeah,
14:24that would,
14:25if it is around Maneer,
14:26that would be for seventh.
14:27Good call.
14:28Deep Francisco
14:29and Romano
14:30is who you see
14:30battling for
14:32fifth just ahead.
14:33Then Kitchen
14:34has made the move
14:35on both of them.
14:36Cochran's all by himself,
14:37but how about Dundee?
14:38Can he get to the
14:39halfway point now leading?
14:41I got a little trivia
14:42for you I just found out.
14:43So we mentioned
14:43a 16-year-old leading.
14:4516-year-old has not
14:46led a moto.
14:47Since you, bro,
14:49back won a moto.
14:50Sorry,
14:5116-year-old's not won a moto.
14:52Since 2002
14:53when you were 16.
14:54That's a long time.
14:55I don't know what's up
14:56with these young guys.
14:57I mean,
14:58they're too old now.
14:59They're when you're 17,
15:00you're like,
15:01oh,
15:01I was doing it
15:01when I was 16,
15:02but you showed them
15:03what's possible.
15:03Yeah,
15:04but the crazy thing is
15:05this is not,
15:06I mean,
15:07I know it's probably
15:08unexpected for a lot
15:09of people,
15:09but these kids are good
15:11because they have
15:12that next program.
15:12They're more ready
15:14to race,
15:15and like you said earlier,
15:16it comes down
15:17to start for them,
15:18and that's what
15:19Caden's been talking about.
15:20The difference is
15:20is the start.
15:21He's gotten the whole shot,
15:22and he's pulling away
15:23from the guy
15:24that's been on point
15:25these last couple races,
15:26winning 1-1
15:27the last one.
15:28It looks good.
15:29Cady,
15:30what are you seeing
15:30from the mechanics area?
15:32Well,
15:32for Cole Davies,
15:33they're telling him
15:33to breathe
15:34and to find your spot.
15:35Meanwhile,
15:36for Dudney,
15:37it's more flow,
15:38less clutch.
15:39This is what
15:40they're focusing on
15:41here at Redbud.
15:42All right,
15:42explain the more flow,
15:43less clutch for Dudney.
15:45Well,
15:45we heard him early
15:46in practice.
15:46He came around
15:47a corner wide open
15:48but had the clutch in.
15:49Because of how soft
15:50this racetrack is,
15:51it really pulls down
15:52the motor on these bikes
15:53a lot,
15:54puts a lot of pressure
15:55on them,
15:55which they get hot.
15:56Then you start
15:56to see him smoking,
15:57so the team is telling him
15:58lay off the clutch.
15:59You see them
16:00when they get
16:01in these corners,
16:02they're more concerned
16:03about having a bike issue.
16:04So lay off the clutch,
16:05be easier on it,
16:06be faster on the racetrack
16:07as well.
16:08Oh,
16:09Shimoda's got a line
16:10on Romano
16:12and makes it stick.
16:15Yeah,
16:15good pass by Joe,
16:16but Nick really made
16:17a mistake that
16:18kind of allowed
16:18that pass.
16:19You want to see Joe
16:20start closing that gap
16:22off to make sure
16:22he makes the pass
16:24and not allow Nick
16:25making a mistake,
16:25but nonetheless,
16:26he's able to get
16:26around him.
16:27And that's what Joe does.
16:29I mean,
16:29once he gets going,
16:30he's fine,
16:31but unfortunately for him,
16:32he's almost 20 seconds
16:33behind the 16-year-old
16:35up front.
16:37So at the halfway mark,
16:39now Dudney is leading
16:40at the halfway mark.
16:41Reminder to stock up
16:43on Monster Energy.
16:45Shout out
16:46to the Husqvarna riders here.
16:48Cochran, again,
16:48is all alone in third,
16:50running for a podium
16:50right now.
16:51Oh, and then his teammate
16:52DiFrancisco
16:52not making life easy
16:54on the likes of Shimoda.
16:56So they're showing
16:57some real potential
16:58with these young riders.
17:00Shimoda keeps running
17:01the outsides.
17:02Will it work?
17:03He's going to be
17:04on the outside
17:04of Ryder D here.
17:06Ryder D is going to have
17:07to force himself
17:08to the inside.
17:08Joe can just get clean
17:09out of this corner.
17:10He should have the pass
17:11major, which he does.
17:12So good move by Joe.
17:14Now he's got about
17:15four seconds to try
17:16to get up to Levi Kitchen,
17:17which is ahead
17:18of my fourth place.
17:21But again, Casey Cochran
17:22is ahead of both
17:24of these championship
17:25contenders.
17:26That would be massive
17:27to see Cochran
17:27hitting the base
17:28of Morocco's leap
17:29up ahead
17:29if he could get
17:30on the podium.
17:32I'm not joking.
17:33That could change
17:34everything
17:34for his career trajectory.
17:37JT.
17:38Wow, I just wanted
17:39to finish that point
17:40before that incredible
17:40battle so rudely
17:41interrupted me.
17:42You know, there's been
17:43a lot of talk
17:44about the teams
17:44kind of cutting
17:45into the power advantage
17:46that the Monster Star Yamahas
17:48have had for quite a while.
17:49And I think they have.
17:50They've really closed it down
17:51and made it more competitive.
17:52But on a racetrack
17:53like this
17:54where it's so deep
17:55and it is so important
17:56to have huge torque numbers,
17:58I do think the Yamahas
18:00still have an edge.
18:00And I think that's why
18:01you saw both
18:02Babies and Dudley
18:03come around that
18:04first corner first
18:05and beat Joe Shimoda
18:06to the line
18:06is because they
18:07simply have more
18:09when the dirt is deceived.
18:12We're going to see
18:13how much
18:14Shimoda has here.
18:16Hey, the SMX playoffs
18:17are coming this September
18:18and you have the...
18:29Hey, subscribe-y!
18:32So you don't miss
18:33the next Motos.
18:36Hey, subscribe-y!
18:39So you don't miss
18:40the next Motos.
18:49And bringing a little bit
18:50of that motocross feel
18:51to the hybrid tracks
18:52of the playoffs.
18:53Damage is done.
18:54Shimoda made the move,
18:55but he's got a long way to go.
18:57Yeah, he does.
18:58And just kind of
18:59expand on what JT
19:00was talking about even more,
19:01like with the bikes
19:02and power.
19:03Yeah, having more power
19:05definitely helps you
19:05off the start,
19:06but what it also helps you
19:07is coming up
19:08and making passes
19:09on a track that's very
19:11kind of one line
19:12that you've got to
19:12follow the leader.
19:13Making those passes
19:14means you have to
19:15take a different line
19:16and get into soft stuff
19:17and having that power
19:18to be able to pull you out
19:19will allow you
19:20to make those passes
19:21and be more free
19:22on a racetrack
19:23that's difficult
19:23to make them on.
19:28And which direction
19:29will this battle go?
19:30Can Kitchen go after Cochran?
19:32Could Shimoda go after Kitchen?
19:33Maybe both?
19:36And Davies
19:38again, we're into
19:39the second half
19:40of this race
19:40and Dudney still
19:41has it covered.
19:42Yeah, looking at the lap times,
19:44Cole was able
19:45to make that time up,
19:46but it seems like
19:46when he gets on
19:47the back of his teammate,
19:48he ends up making
19:49a mistake and losing.
19:50So, eventually,
19:52a few more laps
19:52than the 16-year-old
19:54is going to go
19:55from decided
19:56to leading this race
19:57to an opportunity
19:58I can win this race
19:59and we'll find out
20:00here in the next
20:0110 minutes, Katie.
20:02On Dudney's pit board
20:03it says dig deep
20:04and on Cole Davies,
20:06it's you versus you
20:07and Levi Kitchens
20:08it's trust fitness.
20:09I was talking
20:10to the mechanics
20:10about this area
20:11at this track location
20:13different than
20:14some of the others.
20:15They said the riders
20:15are actually able
20:16to read the pit boards
20:17far more here at Redbud
20:19than some of the other tracks.
20:20Sue, how much of it
20:21is an advantage?
20:22Because I am seeing
20:23a lot more riding,
20:24a lot more inspiration
20:25on these pit boards
20:25than we've seen
20:26in the last few rounds.
20:27Yeah, I think
20:28it's all circumstance
20:29of like, you know,
20:30you listen to, you know,
20:32Kate, his team manager,
20:35excuse me, his mechanic
20:36is telling him dig deep.
20:37So as I was just saying
20:38how you go from like
20:40I'm happy to lead the race
20:41to possibly believing
20:42that you can win it.
20:43Now his mechanics
20:44is starting to send
20:45that lesson to him
20:46and then Cole Davies
20:47as he's able to close in
20:49on his teammate,
20:50he makes a mistake
20:51so his mechanics
20:51tell him focus on yourself.
20:53You can have that speed
20:54and then you got
20:55Levi Kitchen,
20:55his mechanics
20:56telling fitness
20:57because he knows
20:57it's still got 10 minutes.
20:59Maybe you can beat
20:59him on fitness
21:00and so far
21:02they're all kind of
21:03closing in.
21:03That third battle
21:04is going to be pretty good
21:05between Casey and Shimoda.
21:07They're all within
21:08four seconds.
21:08It's going to be pretty good.
21:11But it could be
21:12between these two Yamahas
21:15for the moto win.
21:16They got a good gap
21:16built up right now, JT.
21:18Yeah, just to add
21:19kind of what
21:20to Katie's question,
21:21for me,
21:22you know,
21:22I always felt like
21:23on the hard days
21:23and when I say hard,
21:24track conditions
21:25are going to be
21:25really tough today
21:26but it's also
21:27brutally hot
21:28and humid here
21:29this weekend.
21:29It's the real first,
21:30kind of the first
21:31fitness test
21:32of the year
21:32for these guys.
21:33Days like today,
21:34the mechanics
21:35can do them
21:36a world of good
21:36by keeping them going,
21:37keeping them focused
21:38and just,
21:39you know,
21:40motivating them
21:40to fight through
21:41their bodies,
21:42screaming at them
21:43to relent.
21:44So I think it's
21:45much more important
21:46on days like today
21:46for them to stay
21:47involved with the mechanics
21:48as they come through.
21:52There is
21:53Loraco's leap.
21:54None of the 250s
21:55able to get it
21:56this year.
21:57A little bit further
21:58back at another battle.
21:59So Romano
22:00has gone to the back
22:01of that pack
22:01that he was in.
22:02He's seventh
22:03and Haimes
22:04starting to close
22:05from eighth.
22:06Still waiting
22:07for that old
22:08fire from Chance Haimes,
22:10a rider who's won races.
22:11I believe he's won
22:11even here at Redbud
22:12before.
22:13He's gone 1-1
22:13on different weekends.
22:15He's been okay
22:16this year
22:16but also he has
22:18missed so much
22:19racing time
22:19over the last
22:20few years of injuries.
22:21So perhaps
22:22this is just
22:22part of the process.
22:24Yeah, I mean,
22:25I think there's
22:25two ways to look at it.
22:26I know Chance
22:27wants to be up here
22:28and he clearly
22:29should be up here
22:30winning these races
22:31but because of those
22:32injuries,
22:32he needs to do this.
22:34Just a tough
22:35position for the VM
22:35because he's
22:36expected to win
22:38and he's not
22:39doing that right now
22:39but if anybody
22:40can continue doing it,
22:41Chance and that team,
22:42Katie.
22:43Yeah, and that's
22:44kind of what I was
22:44talking to his dad,
22:46Chris Hymas,
22:46I was asking him
22:47kind of what is
22:48the edge that we're
22:49looking for?
22:49He said it's so hard
22:50because I know
22:51what it took to get
22:52him to this spot
22:53and I know what it
22:54takes to keep him
22:55going.
22:56It's a look on his
22:56face, it's his body
22:57position, he's getting
22:59back to where we need
23:00him and where he
23:01actually wants to be
23:02but a lot of it,
23:03Chris was telling me,
23:04it's in his head,
23:04right?
23:05Like he's physically
23:05there now,
23:06now he has to overcome
23:07the past challenges
23:09and move forward on
23:10the bike like he
23:10knows how to ride.
23:13Yeah, a bunch of ACL
23:15surgeries and then
23:15time off with that
23:16and then a shoulder
23:17injury and supercross
23:18as he was getting
23:19back to the ACL.
23:21Oh, now we know
23:22what direction his
23:22battle has gone.
23:23Both.
23:24Kitchen has caught
23:25Cochran and Shimoda
23:27has caught Kitchen.
23:28Yeah, that's what I
23:28was saying, that
23:29battle for third,
23:30it's going to heat up
23:30and it really did
23:31in one lap and
23:32I think if I'm Joe
23:33Shimoda, it's a great
23:34opportunity to get
23:35around Levi because
23:36we know how difficult
23:37it is to pass on
23:38this racetrack and
23:38when you close up on
23:39the guy, it's easy
23:40to lose time.
23:41Maybe Joe can have
23:42that sneak attack and
23:43try to get around the
23:44guy who he does,
23:46then I think he would
23:47actually take over to
23:48Point Sleeve or be
23:49close to it.
23:50Yeah, I think so.
23:51I think they're close
23:51enough where Davies,
23:52who's seven down,
23:53would not be able to
23:54get them.
23:56Oh, Kitchen right there
23:57with Cochran though.
24:00He's going to try to go
24:01up the inside of Casey
24:02and like you said
24:03earlier, man, Casey's
24:04riding really good.
24:06Oh, Shimoda just goes
24:07right by Kitchen.
24:09Back to my point again
24:10if I'm Joe.
24:11Yeah.
24:11Because how hard it is
24:12and two for one special.
24:14Joe!
24:15They got the holiday
24:16sale going on.
24:17Joe Shimoda gets it
24:17done.
24:18Probably the local
24:19fireworks stand has
24:20the same thing going
24:21by him in bulk.
24:22Well, just like that,
24:23Shimoda's up to third.
24:24Like you said, I would
24:25say temporarily he's
24:26the point leader.
24:27Now a struggle for
24:28Kitchen to get out of
24:29that incredibly deep
24:31run.
24:32Loses some ground.
24:33Yes, Shimoda would
24:34now be the point leader.
24:35Everything I said
24:36earlier, Joe, I'm
24:36sorry.
24:38That's points leader.
24:39It's Husser Tray
24:39keeping it going.
24:40But, yeah, that's
24:42what Joe and like his
24:43mechanics said earlier.
24:44They're not worried
24:45because you get these
24:46performances.
24:47But, you know, again,
24:48Joe's going to be Joe.
24:49Glad to see him up here
24:50and let's see if he can
24:51keep it going.
24:52It's going to be a long
24:52ways to be able to
24:53catch those leaders.
24:54I think right now third
24:54is going to be pretty
24:56much all he can do.
24:57But a recovery by Joe.
25:01I saw Joe look back
25:02over the finish line
25:03jump.
25:03Did he surprise himself
25:05a little bit?
25:06Yeah, I actually
25:07noticed him looking
25:07down on the motorcycle.
25:09Yeah, I think he was
25:10surprised.
25:10I got two for one,
25:11buy one, get two free
25:13over here.
25:14But when you're a rider,
25:16especially with the track
25:16being muddy like this
25:17and tougher, James,
25:18do you actually think
25:19when you get to him
25:19like, oh, here we go,
25:20this is going to be a
25:21battle?
25:21You don't expect it.
25:22You expect it to be
25:23that easy.
25:24Well, I mean, if anybody,
25:25Joe's passed a lot of
25:26people in his career,
25:27so I think he kind of
25:28knows that.
25:28But for me, yeah,
25:30when I get to somebody,
25:31I got to pass him on
25:32this racetrack.
25:32Otherwise, I'm going to
25:33sit back.
25:33So, yeah, a little
25:37unsuspected, like I
25:38guess to get both of
25:38them, excuse me.
25:39But, yeah, Joe's a little
25:41for you.
25:41JT.
25:42Yeah, I think he
25:44surprised himself a
25:45little bit there.
25:46You know, he kind of
25:46looked around like,
25:47wait, what just
25:47happened?
25:48Because if you go
25:49back through his
25:49career, that has been
25:50a real trouble spot for
25:51him, not just at
25:52high point.
25:53It's been more times
25:54than not that he just
25:55gets stuck behind
25:56riders and can not
25:57find a way around.
25:58So I don't know if he
25:59went to the Tony Robbins
26:00during the break or what
26:01exactly has gone on.
26:02But this is a, I would
26:03say, welcome change
26:05over Katie.
26:06And JT, it was really
26:07fascinating.
26:08Ben Griffith right there
26:09pointed to his head as
26:10he went by and
26:11Pitboard said, need
26:12all focus.
26:14Now, remember, Joe
26:14Shimoda is the only
26:15rider to finish top 10
26:16in every moto this
26:18season.
26:18So there has been
26:19consistency.
26:20But, Stu, like you
26:21were saying at the top,
26:21he really needed to put
26:23it all together to get
26:23the job done.
26:25Yeah, and again, he's
26:27doing it.
26:27Although that pass
26:28might be unexpected
26:29for him, you know, I
26:31don't think Joe's
26:31surprised that he's
26:32able to kind of move
26:33up.
26:33But he's looking down.
26:35He's looking around.
26:35Looking all over.
26:36I can't figure out, is
26:37he looking ahead, down,
26:39left, right, up?
26:40Well, I think he's
26:41doing all of those.
26:42That's what's making it
26:43weird as he kind of
26:44looks down again.
26:44He's looking down
26:45again.
26:45Yeah.
26:46There's something going
26:47on with his motorcycle.
26:49Let's see if we can
26:49hear it.
26:54You wouldn't think
26:55there is something
26:56with a problem with
26:56the motorcycle since
26:57he's moving up.
27:00Meanwhile, Davies going
27:01to make another run at
27:02Dudney here with four
27:03minutes and two laps to
27:04go.
27:06Yeah, he was able to
27:07pull almost five seconds
27:09over Cole, and Cole had
27:11a couple good laps, and I
27:12believe Cole's been
27:13faster this whole race.
27:14He's been faster all day
27:15long, but he's keep
27:16continuing making mistakes,
27:17so catching a guy and
27:19passing him has been
27:19quite a challenge here
27:21unless you're Joe
27:21Shimoda.
27:22Let's see what Cole can
27:23do now when he's up
27:24on his teammate.
27:25Yes, last time around,
27:26Davies got a second and
27:29a half faster than
27:31Dudney.
27:32Can the kid hold on?
27:41So Katie checked out
27:42the pit for Shimoda and
27:43said, eyes forward.
27:45He must have caught him
27:46looking around, too.
27:48Yeah.
27:49Yeah, I don't think I've
27:50ever seen Joe look around
27:51that much, period.
27:52JT?
27:53Yeah, I don't know what
27:54he was doing.
27:54Like, checking the
27:55secondary for coverages.
27:56That was really interesting
27:57from Shimoda.
27:58The riding is incredible,
27:59though.
28:00But just to touch on
28:01Davies here, I think the
28:02biggest thing, when he
28:02gets to Caden Dudney this
28:04time, he's got to have a
28:05plan, because the last few
28:06times I've seen him get
28:07there, he kind of gets
28:08there, tries to make a
28:09move, but nothing really
28:10sticks.
28:11He's running out of time,
28:12so he's got to figure out
28:13where there's a vulnerable
28:14spot for Dudney, get there
28:16and execute all in one
28:17fell swoop.
28:18He cannot sit behind him
28:19and get roosted.
28:20Hey, it looks like
28:21Kitchen made the move on
28:21Cochran, but JT and James,
28:24I think it just happened
28:25again.
28:25He got to Dudney, Dudney
28:26opened it back up, he's
28:27back to him again.
28:28Yeah, and what JT's talking
28:30about, it's kind of what I
28:30agree, if you stay there,
28:32you're going to get roosted,
28:33you know how difficult this
28:34track is, so what he's got
28:35to do is just get close to
28:37him in these opportunities
28:38to pass, and I think passing
28:40opportunities like sessions
28:41like this, where you got to
28:43commit either going inside or
28:44outside, we've seen a couple
28:45of these downhills that's in
28:46that same spot, otherwise
28:48he's just going to continue
28:49to get roosted and might have
28:51an opportunity here.
28:52Got to give it up to Cade,
28:54man, he's riding really good,
28:55keeping his teammate, let's see
28:57if Cole tries to slingshot
28:58around outside, no, Cade
29:00closes it out, now another
29:01opportunity to go.
29:05Great racing.
29:08JT.
29:09You know, watching Dudney, if
29:10he's able to go on and, you
29:11know, hold on to this motor,
29:12even if he gets second,
29:13Weege, let's remember, this
29:14was a rider who, I know
29:16there's some controversy around
29:18the work benching, but let's
29:20face it, he got pulled for
29:21lackluster performances in the
29:23middle of the East Coast
29:23Supercross Championship, and it
29:26was really to prepare him for
29:28this pro motocross
29:28championship, he came out
29:30swinging at the opener, gets
29:31a second overall, but it's
29:33been a little hiddenness
29:33since then.
29:34This would be, I think,
29:36confirmation that not only did
29:37they do the right thing then,
29:38that he is going to make it
29:40in these professional ranks,
29:41so really, it's quite the
29:42turnaround story from when we
29:44were sitting in St. Louis not
29:45so long ago.
29:46Well, to that end, JT, James,
29:48I'll ask you, yeah, that one
29:49moto win, we know he has
29:50talent, we know he has speed,
29:51and he showed it here and there,
29:52but when you lock in that
29:54moto win, it's got to just take
29:56you to a whole nother level
29:56mentally.
29:57Yeah, it does, and, you know,
30:00literally, this is an opportunity
30:01to see for Cole, like I said,
30:03now you've got to force your
30:03way, you've got to be either on
30:04the inside or outside.
30:06Oh, yeah, nice.
30:08He was actually going, Caden was
30:09going to go to the inside, he
30:10saw that Cole had to run on him,
30:12so he jumps out and blocks that
30:13line, but, yeah, going back to
30:14your point, yeah, it solidifies
30:16what you believe in yourself, but
30:18until you do it, you just don't
30:20know, and it also, it takes a
30:22lot of pressure off of him
30:23because, you know, I don't
30:25think him being benched is
30:26really nothing to really do
30:27with him, it's just that
30:28there's so many good guys
30:29that's wanting that spot that
30:31he's on, if he's not
30:32performing, Bobby has a lot of
30:33other guys that's going to
30:35take that opportunity, and so
30:37far he's making the best of
30:38it as Cole tries to go down
30:39the inside here.
30:40Oh, full send job from
30:42Davies, trying to make that
30:44inside work, not enough, he's
30:45going for it again, to the
30:46whoops.
30:47Caden should be good if he just
30:49gets up, he makes a mistake
30:51Oh, it wasn't clean out of
30:52that corner, and that's going
30:53to allow Davies to get it.
30:56Yeah, Cole put that pressure
30:57on him, I'm surprised Caden
30:59really didn't fight for him,
31:00but maybe it's just the way
31:01that line was, he was able
31:02to make that pass, and that's
31:03where I was saying that the
31:04opportunities where Cole could
31:06make it when you have to
31:07commit one way or the other,
31:10it's affecting Cole will
31:11probably put in a good lap,
31:13they'll have about three laps
31:15probably left after this, yeah.
31:17Yeah, because look at the
31:18clock, it's down to 10 seconds,
31:20finish line is after this
31:22corner, so I don't think
31:24they're going to get the two
31:25laps to go.
31:27This battle back here,
31:28Jaimes and Romano still going
31:30inside the top 10, 7 and 8.
31:35Yeah, I would say almost a good
31:36route for Nick, because he was
31:37up there in the beginning,
31:39then started going backwards,
31:40but now he's actually
31:41stabilized that, keep Chance,
31:44holding Chance off for this
31:45moto, so good route for him,
31:47but I'm sure with Chance, he's
31:48going to be a little
31:49disappointed, he's not able to
31:50get around him, JT.
31:51Yeah, I'm sure he will, but he
31:53kind of needs to make this
31:54pass, but on Romano, I really
31:56wanted to see this type of ride
31:57for him, because he had kind of
31:59been on fire, he had been
32:00building, building, and then
32:01High Point was a real step in
32:03the wrong direction for him,
32:04he was just unable to find the
32:05same pace, couldn't get the
32:07starts, and the results didn't
32:08show up either, so to kind of
32:10regroup and show back up here
32:12in Red Bud, be well inside the
32:14top 10, right around the top
32:165 for a while, I think it was
32:17just, hey, I'm not going away
32:19in this championship, and the
32:20reasons that Mitch Payton gave
32:21me this chance are still as
32:23valid as they were a few weeks
32:24ago.
32:25They told me High Point,
32:27worst track for him, and Red
32:29Bud, best track for him, so
32:30it's at least a bounce back,
32:31not quite podium, like he was a
32:33few weeks ago, and then, I
32:35don't know if Hymas made a
32:36mistake there, but suddenly he
32:37has a gap.
32:38Yeah, we've been seeing that
32:39all-moto, and really impressed
32:41by Nick to be able to do that,
32:42because the way High Point went,
32:44this moto, the first beginning
32:45part of this moto went the same
32:46way, so it would have been easy
32:47for him to just fall in that
32:48trap, that's why I say when you
32:50look at him, you know, it's
32:51actually an impressive ride by
32:53Nick here to be able to regroup
32:55and hold chance off, and got three
32:58laps to see if he can get a top
32:59seven here.
33:01I'm just getting up to Hustle,
33:02he's got Meneer right behind
33:05him now, and Nate Thrasher as
33:07well, more of the Yamahas.
33:09That's the hard part, we've been
33:10talking all year long, doesn't
33:12get any easier as the farther you
33:14go back, you would think, you just
33:15have more guys that continue to
33:17come and come, and almost to the
33:18point where it's maybe harder to
33:20ride back in where chance is
33:21compared to being out front.
33:24Well, that's the interesting thing
33:25when I talk to a lot of these
33:26rookies like Dugney, they've all
33:28said that.
33:28The moto, the further forward they
33:30are, the easier it actually is.
33:33I think it's easier to get 10th and
33:36third, but it's the opposite, the
33:38way motocross works.
33:39Yeah, and they're saying that, but
33:41also the stats say that, because you
33:42said that there's a couple motos that
33:44Dugney's been outside the top 20, and
33:47you almost asked him, you know, I kind of
33:49rode the same, and that's the
33:50difference between the start, who
33:51outside the top 20, not scoring any
33:53point, to be at three laps from
33:55scoring the maximum points at 25.
33:58Now, this is a whole other level of
34:00having to come through the pack.
34:01Beaumair had a good start, got stuck
34:03on lap one.
34:04The 13 has climbed to 16th place, one
34:07of those gritty rides that's not
34:09going to look that way in the results.
34:12No, absolutely not, and almost the
34:15worst racetrack, because we see how
34:16hard it is to pass one guy, now
34:19trying to pass all these guys, so
34:21Julian's probably riding a lot better
34:22than even in 16th place, and if it was
34:24a different track, he might have been
34:26able to move back up even farther, but
34:27still, good ride by him, always
34:30continue to fight, let's see if he can
34:31get some more.
34:33Trying to get to Dylan Schwartz on the
34:35Toyota of Redlands Bar X Yamaha, that
34:38would drop Beaumair to 15 points down in
34:40the standings.
34:44But not even at the halfway point of
34:46this championship quite yet.
34:49Beaumair going to try to work it on
34:51Schwartz.
34:52Going to go a long way around, Dylan's
34:54going to be on the inside, so yeah, there
34:57you go, nice pass.
35:02All right, so that is now 15th for the man
35:06they call Juju, and again, the result
35:10won't show it in this moto, now two to
35:12go, but man, has he been great to start
35:15this season.
35:16The points are one thing, we can show
35:18you the points on the screen down by 14,
35:19but the bottom line is this, he has
35:21already shown that he is not just back,
35:23he might be better than he was before
35:25the injury, so any questions about his
35:27long-term future have been answered.
35:29But he's going to keep trying to get
35:30every point, he can anyway.
35:32Yeah, I mean, even if Julian was
35:34leading the points, at some point you
35:36got to believe that, hey, this is where
35:37I belong at, and those only come from
35:39results, so it takes multiple results,
35:42especially a guy that's been injured as
35:44we're looking at Hunter Lawrence, get
35:45ready for this 450 moto, it's going to
35:47start soon.
35:48But yeah, I think Julian is here, and
35:51because of how the season's been going,
35:52how good he's been riding, although this
35:55finish is going to sting, it won't
35:56determine the way he continues moving
35:58forward in the championship.
36:01And he's looking around for the next
36:02rider on track, which will be Deno in
36:0514.
36:07Then Dax Benick back in action this
36:09weekend, missed a couple rounds, he is
36:10in 13, so still been a solid run for the
36:13Husqvarna team.
36:14Rockstar Husqvarna, that factory outfit
36:18will not be back next year, they
36:19announced that about a month or two ago,
36:21but I believe that DeFrancisco and
36:25Benick should be back on an expanded
36:27KTM 250 effort, that's the rumor in the
36:30pits.
36:30The problem is for Cochran, he has not
36:32been confirmed with the ride, but man,
36:34he's in fifth in this moto, showing his
36:37potential, and that might be enough to get
36:38him back on the radar as well.
36:41Ahead of him, you've got Kitchin fourth,
36:42Shimoda third.
36:44Dudney put in again a great run for second,
36:46but on the last lap, this is exactly what
36:50everyone in the 250 pit did not want to
36:53see.
36:53It could be three moto wins in a row for
36:55Cole Davies, JT.
36:57It sure could, and Weege, I know you've been
36:59big on this, you kind of felt like, hey, if
37:02they let Davis come in here and dominate
37:04again, this thing could be, you don't want to
37:07say it's over, like we're not even the
37:08halfway point, but this could be a real
37:10problem for everybody, and I think we're on
37:14something here, Weege.
37:14Well, JT, this is not made with a crystal
37:16ball, it's just, we saw the same thing
37:19happen in Supercross.
37:20The first two races were good, he dominated
37:22round three, he was practically unbeatable
37:24for the East Riders after that.
37:26I think everyone just needed to see, is it
37:29something about his Supercross technique
37:30specifically, or is it not matter what
37:33track he's on, and he's quickly proving
37:35it don't matter if there's whoops, mud,
37:37hard pack, whatever, he's just good at
37:40riding a dirt bike.
37:41Yeah, he is, and the reason he is, because
37:43his mind, his mind believes him, and that's
37:46why I felt coming into this deal, and why
37:48I feel like, you know, as far as the
37:49championship, we see what just happened
37:51to Julian, and how hard it was for Cole
37:53to even pass one rider in the race, so
37:55a bad start, the championship's still
37:57wide open, as far as that part, but this
38:00guy, the way he races, his mind, and
38:03the belief, and that attitude makes it
38:05like, uh-oh, these guys are going to have
38:07a problem, because Cole Davis is here, and
38:09he believes he's the best, and that's a
38:11problem for everybody else that's racing
38:12him.
38:14Yeah, I wanted to take the point lead
38:15today, but I'm telling you, he is not
