Jett Lawrence capped off an outstanding day at Thunder Valley with a dominant victory in 450 Moto 2. The Honda HRC rider displayed exceptional speed, precision, and race management, taking control of the moto and holding off the competition on the demanding Colorado circuit. With another impressive win, Jett continued his strong Pro Motocross campaign and further cemented his status as one of the fastest riders in the 450MX class. 🏁🔥

00:00And it could happen in this moto because they'll take the results from the race earlier today
00:05Combined with this one to determine the overall winner in Thunder Valley
00:09There is Kunin, second in moto one, Lawrence the winner on the number one
00:13What's going to happen now?
00:17Great start for Jet Lawrence on the number one
00:21Leads him into turn one
00:22And his brother is right there in the 96, Hunter Lawrence
00:25Better start for Lucas Kunin, he actually did a great job
00:28Because he got a bad jump out of that gate
00:30And just got fooled by both HRC Honda boys
00:34But looks like he can get around Aaron Plessinger, his temporary teammate for the weekend
00:38Looking at one, two, three
00:41So it's two Hondas in red, two orange KTMs, Plessinger on the seven
00:44Oh no, and just like that, Hunter Lawrence is down
00:48Ah, bummer for Hunter, that's a tough position to be in
00:51Opening lap, they put a little bit of water down so easily
00:54Easily that can happen, but that's going to be costly for him
00:57Because he came into this moto only one point ahead of his brother after the penalty
01:01So Hunter's got to get to work
01:03He has the red plate of the bike because he was the championship leader coming in
01:07That is an uncharacteristic mistake from the very consistent 96
01:11So he's got work to do
01:14Just around the top ten right now
01:19Trying to see where Haid, Haid's running about seventh right now
01:25And shout out, you see in green, Garrett Marchbanks
01:27A lot of penalties to other riders in that moto
01:30Marchbanks is the one that got credited with third in the first race earlier today
01:35Which is his second best finish ever in this class
01:38He could even be in contention to win the race
01:40Depending on how it unfolds
01:42But right now, Jet Lawrence
01:45Doing what he does
01:46A lot of concern for him coming into this championship
01:49Off of a very serious foot and ankle injury
01:54Was not his normal self at the opening round two weeks ago
01:57But he won last weekend
01:58And he's in control early today
02:00Yeah, if you're Jet
02:02You know, the one thing
02:03If we heard him on the podium
02:04He said that, you know, it wasn't his foot
02:06He just needed to find a flow
02:07Well, he kind of found it at the end of that first moto
02:09So the scary part for all these other guys
02:11Is that he comes out with a different track
02:13And he finds that flow a lot earlier
02:16And he's going to find it if you give him this gap
02:18As he got about two and a half seconds over Lucas Kuhnen
02:21So Kuhnen, the 19-year-old
02:23Leading the MXGP Championship
02:25Base in Europe
02:26What a performance
02:27Jumping into racing in Pro Motocross in America
02:30For the first time
02:30Now there is Hunter Lawrence
02:32He went down on that first lap
02:34With that orange-yellow gear
02:36Challenging RJ Hampshire
02:38That crash bumped him from second to seventh
02:41Yeah, you've got to watch some of the different lines
02:44Hunter Lawrence says
02:45He should have a run up
02:46RJ right here
02:47RJ starts to close that gap
02:49RJ's been around the block before
02:50But Hunter had a great run
02:52Tried again
02:53And I believe Hayden Deacon's right in front of both of them
02:55So the 96 understands
02:56I need to get moving
02:58And this is at the same section
03:00That he went down early
03:01You notice that he didn't go inside there
03:03He followed RJ to the outside
03:04And that, to me, believes
03:05That that corner has to be a lot wetter
03:07That we can see on TV
03:09Inside's just too tough right now
03:10Yeah, it's too tough
03:11Otherwise he would've just
03:12Doped to the inside
03:13He probably would've had that pass made
03:14So
03:15So checking in on Hayden Deacon here
03:17He's battling his teammate
03:18Webb on the number two
03:19Deacon has that blue and yellow gear
03:22And just ahead of Hampshire
03:24On the 24th
03:25Two battles starting to collide now
03:28This Hampshire-Lawrence battle
03:30And then Webb and Deacon
03:31Right ahead of them
03:32That's fourth through seventh
03:34Yeah, if you're Hunter Lawrence
03:36What you want
03:36You know Hayden Deacon's going to be upset
03:38After what happened
03:39The penalty
03:40Because he felt
03:40Hey, fair game, right?
03:42Everybody else is taking it
03:43He's probably going to be upset
03:44As he's able to get around Cooper Webb
03:46I think Webb waved a bot
03:47So Webb take a handoff
03:48In that corner
03:49Not sure maybe if he was getting
03:50A little tight in the arms
03:51Or if he was a wave
03:52And there goes Lawrence
03:55Yeah, probably Cooper's pulling
03:56A tear off
03:57Got crossbred
03:57And nothing left
03:58Okay
03:59Hunter Lawrence
04:00Not messing around
04:01He's going for two passes now
04:03And he has it
04:04Yeah, great moves by
04:06Hunter Lawrence
04:07About to make that pass
04:08You see how difficult it is
04:09For guys to get around
04:11And actually Hunter
04:11Over the last couple laps
04:12He's made quite a bit of passes
04:14Earlier we were saying
04:15Garrett Marshmakes
04:16Is right in front of him
04:16So him to be able to get back up
04:18Now he's at fifth
04:19Hayden Deacon right in front of him
04:23Hampshire, the veteran
04:24Out of Florida
04:25On the Rockstar Energy
04:26Husqvarna
04:27And then a big pack
04:28Back here
04:29That is what motocross
04:30Is known for
04:3140 riders on the track
04:32And there are battles
04:34All over it
04:36And Hunter Lawrence
04:37Wants to get into another one
04:38He has cleared
04:39Webb and Hampshire
04:40He wants to get to Deacon
04:43Plessick are running strong
04:44In third
04:47You can see these guys
04:48Trying to tiptoe
04:49Especially this
04:49Next boat
04:50You see Hunter Lawrence
04:52Start losing the front end
04:53And so
04:53They fixed some of these sections
04:55By cleaning up
04:56Because of all the rust
04:57But when they do that
04:58They bring all that
04:59Blue stuff back on top
05:00So partly why Hunter Lawrence
05:02Probably went down
05:03Really, really slippery
05:04Race track right now
05:06Jorge Prado in orange
05:08On the 26th
05:10Making moves
05:11He's all over Webb
05:13You know these guys
05:14Ain't strangers
05:14Go back to the supercross
05:16They've had some
05:17Some incidents
05:18Let's just say the least
05:19So
05:19Super Webb
05:20I don't think
05:21You'll be raising
05:22A hand up
05:22To let Jorge buy this
05:24Moto
05:24Almost had another one
05:25Right there
05:26Front wheel
05:26From Prado
05:27Awfully close
05:28To the leg
05:29Of the number two
05:30Of Webb
05:31Veteran out of
05:31North Carolina
05:34And there's Prado
05:35The Spaniard
05:36Found a line
05:37On the inside
05:38What a move
05:38By Jorge
05:39Cooper stood it up
05:40In that corner
05:41And Jorge
05:41Doped it inside
05:45Interesting scenario
05:46For Prado
05:46Multi-time champ
05:47In that MXGP
05:48Series
05:49Start of the year
05:50With a very strong
05:51Second place finish
05:52Last week
05:53Bike problems
05:54He's now way back
05:55In the championship
05:57You would think
05:57He'd want to rally
05:58To get back in
05:59That first moto
05:59Was good
06:00Not great
06:01Let's see if he can
06:02Get a little closer
06:03To the front
06:04On that 26
06:05Yeah, hopefully
06:06Jorge continues
06:06To do that
06:07Because clearly
06:08He's still good enough
06:09To win these races
06:10And fight for this
06:12Championship
06:12But at the same time
06:13It's like
06:14He goes down
06:15He has that
06:16Bike mechanical
06:17Last weekend
06:18Bad start
06:19On the outside
06:19And sometimes
06:20His rotting
06:21Not necessarily
06:21Indictive on how
06:23His results
06:24He results
06:25Not matching
06:25His rotting
06:26So hopefully
06:26He can continue
06:27That attitude
06:28To keep fighting
06:28Just remember
06:29How good he's rotting
06:30Because I hate
06:31To see him
06:32Kind of bow out
06:33This early
06:33Because of some
06:34Insomative
06:34March banks
06:35On that green
06:36Kawasaki
06:37Making moves
06:38Again
06:39He is the one
06:40Credited with
06:41Third
06:41In the first
06:42Race
06:42Earlier today
06:43Due to all
06:44The penalties
06:45He's not done
06:45Going after
06:47Prado
06:48Yeah, we saw
06:49Garrett a lot
06:50Of times
06:50Last year
06:50In the GVD class
06:51And he just
06:52Seemed to come
06:52Out of nowhere
06:53Using these
06:53Outside lines
06:54Throwing those
06:55Legs out
06:55And really
06:56Religious
06:57Using the momentum
06:58Around the race
06:59Track
06:59And I think
07:00The way this
07:00Track is being
07:01Slippery
07:01It might help
07:02A rider like
07:03Garrett
07:03Using these
07:04Outside
07:04Because of his
07:05Long leg
07:06He's kind of
07:06Used that
07:06At the balance
07:07And so far
07:08Third
07:08That first
07:09Moto
07:09And
07:09Top ten
07:10This next
07:11One
07:11Might be
07:11A good day
07:12For Kawasaki
07:12Which they
07:13Need
07:15Yeah, they
07:16Lost
07:16His teammate
07:17Chase Sexton
07:17A big crash
07:18Yesterday
07:19So Sexton
07:20Not competing
07:20Today
07:21But March banks
07:22Carrying the flag
07:23For the boys
07:23In green
07:24Will
07:25Yeah, and those
07:25Boys in green
07:26Over that
07:27Monster Energy
07:27Kawasaki
07:28Have been
07:28Working
07:29Incredibly hard
07:30Jason
07:30To get
07:31Both Chase
07:32Sexton
07:32We were talking
07:33About there
07:33Out with that
07:34Crash yesterday
07:34And his teammate
07:35Garrett
07:36Marks
07:36On screen
07:37Now
07:38Getting the bike
07:39Where they
07:39Needed to be
07:40Garrett told me
07:41I have never
07:41Tested so much
07:42In my entire life
07:43And it was a
07:44Good feeling
07:45For him
07:45For that
07:45Finally to be
07:46Coming together
07:47And it's
07:47Showing in the
07:48Results
07:48And the team
07:49Spoke to me
07:49And said
07:50Hey, this is
07:50Us, yes
07:51But it's a
07:51Combination
07:52To
07:52This is about
07:53Garrett
07:53In his
07:54Comfortable place
07:55They're referring
07:55To him
07:56Racing
07:56Outdoors
07:57Here in
07:57Pro
07:57Motocross
07:57Just in
07:58His confidence
07:59Building
07:59They can see
08:00It's boosting
08:01The team
08:01Morale
08:02It's boosting
08:02Garrett's
08:03Morale
08:03And these
08:04Results
08:04Just keep
08:05Building
08:05Off the
08:05Back of
08:05Them
08:07And the
08:07Team
08:08Willow
08:08Said
08:08They're
08:08Very impressed
08:09With the
08:09Testing
08:10Abilities
08:10Of
08:10March
08:11Banks
08:11James
08:11You can
08:11Speak
08:12To that
08:12All the
08:12Riders
08:13Will try
08:13Different
08:13Parts
08:14Of
08:14The
08:14Motorcycles
08:15But not
08:15Everyone's
08:16Created
08:16Equal
08:17As far
08:17As
08:18Understanding
08:18What
08:19The
08:19Bike
08:19Is
08:19Doing
08:19And
08:19What
08:20They
08:20Need
08:20Yeah
08:20Absolutely
08:21I
08:21Mean
08:21We
08:21Just
08:21Watched
08:22The
08:22Got
08:23A
08:23Shot
08:23Of
08:23Lucas
08:24And
08:24Sasha
08:25And
08:25And
08:25They're
08:25Twins
08:26But
08:26They're
08:26Completely
08:27Different
08:27Personalities
08:28On
08:28How
08:28They
08:29Ride
08:29A
08:29Motorcycle
08:29So
08:30You
08:30Can
08:30Imagine
08:30That
08:31As
08:31Teammates
08:31Yeah
08:32You
08:32Can
08:32Help
08:32Each
08:32Other
08:32Out
08:33But
08:33Garrett
08:33Rides
08:33A
08:34Lot
08:34Different
08:34Than
08:34Chase
08:35So
08:35Maybe
08:36What
08:36Doesn't
08:36Work
08:36For
08:36Chase
08:37Works
08:37For
08:37Garrett
08:38And
08:38I
08:38Think
08:38It's
08:38Important
08:39For
08:39The
08:39Team
08:39To
08:40Keep
08:40That
08:40Morale
08:41Up
08:41To
08:41Let
08:41Garrett
08:42Know
08:42We're
08:42Here
08:42Believing
08:43In
08:43You
08:55For
08:55Seventh
08:56Spot
08:57Great
08:58Racing
08:58Here
08:58Enjoy
08:59The
08:59Sounds
09:00Of
09:00The
09:00SMX
09:01World
09:01Championship
09:25In
09:29I
09:34Let's go.
10:09Let's go.
10:34Let's go.
11:05Let's go.
11:14This is Hayden Deegan, the young phenom of pro motocross in America making moves.
11:20So he was penalized in the first moto today.
11:23That gave him the 11th position on the start grid, the 11th gate pick.
11:27Bad start.
11:29During the break, made a move on Aaron Plessiker.
11:31That will move him up to third.
11:33The 20-year-old, the monster energy rider check-in with some of the athletes on the track right
11:39now.
11:40Deegan's in third.
11:41There is Jett Lawrence in the lead.
11:44Stretching to about four seconds over Lucas Kunin.
11:47Deegan 13 seconds back.
11:49That check-in of the monster energy back riders.
11:51You got Deegan third.
11:52March banks running well.
11:54He is in eighth right now.
11:55Cooper Webb back to ninth.
11:56Here is the leader, Jett Lawrence.
11:58Injured or not, 100% or not.
12:02Figuring out ways to get it done each weekend.
12:05Yeah, Jett looks to me a little bit better.
12:08This moto, you got to assume that.
12:10He's probably a little bit more warmed up.
12:11Figured out that track, that last lap.
12:12And since Lucas has not put too much pressure on him, he's able to explore and run these
12:17lines.
12:18We'll say, great ride by Hayden Deegan.
12:21Oh.
12:22And it goes to my point on how slippery this racetrack is.
12:25And I think that's why you get that cat and mouse where guys are so close and then they
12:29just lose it.
12:30Simple mistake like that, Hayden Deegan almost goes down, but saves it.
12:36Plessiker, the cowboy as the fans call him here.
12:39He is a wild man off the track.
12:41It's so fun, so friendly.
12:43Every rider signs autographs at these races.
12:45They usually have a table with their autographs stocked.
12:47He usually walks out beside the truck to take selfies, get a little closer to the fans.
12:52Saw him having a great time this afternoon, even though he's riding with sore ribs.
12:56Still in a great mood.
12:57But how long can he hang on to fourth?
13:00Because at number seven, he's going to have to deal with Hunter Lawrence, who's closing in.
13:04Yeah, Aaron, it's good to see him up here.
13:06I took my kids to Daytona this year and they saw Aaron.
13:08They literally almost jumped out of the truck trying to get his autograph.
13:11I'm not being the most popular seven in my house.
13:14That was your racing number.
13:15That was it.
13:15So I was number seven.
13:17I let Aaron have it and he took me over into Stewart household.
13:22Well, fourth might get taken over by Hunter Lawrence, who fell early in this race.
13:27Hunter came in as the championship leader, but if it ends like this, Jen Lawrence will take over the series
13:33lead.
13:33A good day for Hunter, but two costly mistakes.
13:36A crash late in the first race, a crash early in the second race.
13:40And if you look at the left side of Hunter's helmet, you see some tear-offs.
13:47The goggle lens starting to flap around.
13:48Now, that could be one loose, or does that mean maybe he's got the whole thing?
13:51Next time we see Hunter, we'll keep an eye on that.
13:54Yeah, we'll pay attention.
13:55A lot of times those guys, they'll go to pull it, and there's two taps on it, so you have
13:59to pull it all the way off.
14:00And it's easy to just pull one because you're trying to get your hands back on there, and that's what
14:04leaves that tear-off flapping.
14:05So good thing with Hunter, this track is not a sticky racetrack, so even if he doesn't have any, he
14:11could probably wipe some of the stuff off
14:12because the soil's not sticking to his face like some other racetracks.
14:16And he either pulled the tear-off or wiped right there in mid-air.
14:20JT.
14:21Watching Jet Lawrence here, and he's just out there doing Jet things.
14:25What I mean by that is he's so responsive to any attack from behind him.
14:29And Lucas Koonin, two or three laps ago, put in his best lap, tried to mount what looked like a
14:34charge.
14:35Immediately Jet went out and put in his best lap right behind it.
14:38So he's very good at this, and what seems like a battle could be mounting,
14:42I think Jet always just has a little bit in his back pocket to be able to answer that.
14:46It's been kind of the calling card of his career.
14:49I talked to his father, Darren, this morning, and this has been a long-going conversation
14:53because to your point, JT, we've seen Jet ride that way for several years now,
14:57and a lot of it is energy management.
14:59The idea for Hunter and Jet is they will use the energy in burst when they need it,
15:03but they're not going to waste it when they don't.
15:06And a lot of times, it looks like someone's got a hook in them,
15:10and then they use the burst when they have to.
15:12Well, I think he's using a burst right now.
15:13You know, the way he's going down that hill, you see some of the chatter out of his bike,
15:18to me that's telling him he's starting to charge because I think he senses that
15:21maybe if he can get another second and two, maybe Lucas would be happy just being here in America,
15:25leave Jet alone, but he's got to put in that time just like he did last weekend.
15:29All right, the burst from Lawrence.
15:31Can he outlast Kunin halfway through this moto?
15:34A reminder, stock up on a Monster Energy drink.
15:38Lawrence has the gap a little over four seconds.
15:42And the injury to his right foot.
15:44You see, he has to take off the peg to clear that rut there.
15:47And a lot of people wondering how he would perform this summer.
15:50He could be taking over the point lead today, it will.
15:53Taking over the point lead with that injury, as you said,
15:56and not riding his usual style, adapting to his new kind of way of riding,
16:02his new way of having to use his foot.
16:04As we see Darren Lawrence, his father there in the box, lower right.
16:08We didn't know what we were going to see out of Jet Lawrence,
16:10like you said, Jason, coming in.
16:11But he spoke to me yesterday.
16:13I asked him, are you in pain while you're riding?
16:15He said certain things when he talked about riding on the ball of his foot
16:19and that ankle flexing because he lost a lot of movement in it.
16:21He said, yes, there's pain.
16:23So he showed me a position with his foot where sometimes he has to ride
16:26right foot kind of on the heel and that sort of right toe tips out.
16:30We talked about it a little bit earlier.
16:31That means there's potential for catching that toe,
16:34especially when it starts getting deeper ruts like this.
16:36And on top of that, he's had to change his week as well.
16:39He's only riding one day a week.
16:41He said that's likely to be for the foreseeable future
16:44as he has to manage that kind of pain
16:46and make sure he gets it back to a sort of a neutral point
16:50where it's not getting any worse come race day.
16:52So incredible to think that we're seeing this, James,
16:55and this level of performance when he's working around so many factors here.
17:00Yeah, it is beautiful to watch.
17:02Now we're watching his brother finally get up inside of Aaron Plessinger.
17:05Great job by Hunter.
17:07He's got a paid dig and only a few seconds up the track.
17:09But, yeah, you know, just going back to what we were just talking about with Jett,
17:13the one thing that he does, and I love it because this injury has caused him
17:17to learn a different way to win.
17:20And by doing these short bursts in this race, Jett knows that he understands,
17:25like, he's not going to pull away to a point to where it's going to drop,
17:28like go from four seconds to seven seconds.
17:30But when he does these bursts, it's like an NBA team.
17:34A couple of them, you're hitting three-pointers.
17:36It makes the other team start hitting three-pointers.
17:39And in this position, what it's doing is making these other guys have to pick it up
17:43on a racetrack that is so slippery by Jett picking that pace up,
17:47makes them pick the pace up, which makes them make more mistakes,
17:50and that's how he builds his gap.
17:51So pretty cool to watch how he's attacking his racetrack.
17:55And now James is stretching that gap to over five seconds over Koonan,
18:00and he would be the point leader for how he looked
18:04in the first qualifying session of the year,
18:08where he was out of the top ten in lap times.
18:10What an incredible adaptation three weeks later for him to be in the series lead.
18:15As for this young man, the 19-year-old out of Belgium,
18:19I don't know if he's going to take the measure of Jett Dismodo,
18:21but this is a heck of a debut.
18:23No, it absolutely is.
18:25And the one thing with Jett, he doesn't know Lucas.
18:28So he doesn't know if Lucas is going to continue to respond like he is.
18:31I mean, when Jett goes fast, Lucas goes fast.
18:34And maybe he can do that to other guys and what Jett that is and break him.
18:38Lucas seems to be just steadily there.
18:41And if Jett makes one mistake, he's going to close in.
18:44So because these guys haven't raced each other, you don't know,
18:47and that's part of the thing, the game with the fear.
18:50And Lucas did get it down to under two seconds at the checkered flag of the first race an hour
18:55ago.
18:56And you can see his mechanic, Jay Dungy, telling him, do not give up.
18:59Keep going for the win.
19:00Yeah, he looks good.
19:02Will?
19:03He does indeed.
19:04And we saw the two of them, him and his brother, Sasha, there earlier on in that feature.
19:10And I think I counted maybe four or five times throughout that feature.
19:13They talked about this being their dream to race in the U.S.
19:16And I asked them yesterday, why?
19:18Why is that?
19:19They're leading their MXGPs back home.
19:22They've got their own titles going on right now.
19:24And they said, we were six years old, sitting with our dad on the couch,
19:29watching you, James, go forward in a Supercross race 2013.
19:34And they said, we want to do that.
19:36At the time, they didn't even know there was a European series.
19:39They didn't even ride dirt bikes until a year later.
19:42So this is all they've known as the goal that they want to reach since they were six-year-old
19:47kids.
19:47And they are so excited when you speak to them to finally be doing this full circle, James.
19:52You calling that race for them, it's very special for them.
19:56And that's awesome.
19:57And to know, like, you know, at my age, thinking, having two kids of my own,
20:01to be able to be here in the U.S., but to have an effect on two kids in Belgium,
20:07to be able to change their livelihood or kind of what they want to do is an honor.
20:11So all the kids out there, you know, that's great.
20:15These two kids are living the dream.
20:17What they're doing over in Europe right now is phenomenal, record-breaking.
20:21And then for him coming here, really cool.
20:23So it means a lot. Thank you.
20:25And Lucas and Sasha will be back for two more races in America later this summer.
20:30Let's check in with Hayden Deegan here in third.
20:32So it got away.
20:34The penalty in the first moto, that was a big one in points.
20:38And then that results in a worse start position in this one.
20:42Do we still see signs of improvement in his third full-time 450 race today?
20:46Yes, yes, improvement.
20:48I mean, to me, this second moto, I mean, even though he rode great that first one,
20:52this second moto is more impressive to me because it looks like he figured out whatever he did
20:55in that first moto calmed down.
20:57And he had Hunter Lawrence right behind him.
21:00Sasha, I mean, Lucas and Jet, they're too far up front.
21:03But Hayden Deegan's doing great, JT.
21:05He is.
21:05And you know the biggest difference that I noticed, James?
21:08The first two races, the results were, I don't know, similar to what we're seeing here today.
21:13But he was okay with it.
21:14He was satisfied.
21:15He said, hey, we're going to continue to work.
21:16We'll get there.
21:18After that first moto, there was no satisfaction.
21:20There was no happiness.
21:22There was no settling.
21:22There was pure anger that he did not seal the deal in that first moto.
21:27That is a big difference in sentiment.
21:29And it shows you his target is changing.
21:32He wants to go win.
21:34But I think the first two, he just realized he wasn't ready yet.
21:37Yeah, no, that's what we went off the air.
21:38I was like, uh-oh, uh-oh.
21:40That's what I was talking about, his attitude.
21:42And you can just hear it.
21:43And that goalpost is changing for them.
21:45And that only comes from being able to battle with those guys.
21:48Last weekend, he was battling with them, but he really wasn't.
21:52But today, he battled with these guys.
21:54And if he can able to get to this, uh, hold off Hunter Lawrence for the third,
21:57this moto is going to be great.
21:59Big steps for the 450 rookie.
22:02There's Jett Lawrence.
22:03Got the lead up to 5.2 seconds now.
22:06Can he win two weekends in a row, even while riding through injury?
22:10Stay with us.
22:22He'll put a smile on his back and he's like, he's going to be good.
22:27He's going to be good.
22:27He was talking about that earlier.
22:29It's pretty rare.
22:30He was going to be good.
22:38They're going 5 and 6 seconds away.
22:41Let's go.
23:17Let's go.
23:41Let's go.
24:33Let's go.
24:36Let's go.
24:40Let's go.
24:49Let's go.
25:04Let's go.
25:06Let's go.
25:10Let's go.
25:34Let's go.
25:39Let's go.
25:42Let's go.
25:47Let's go.
26:06Let's go.
26:09Let's go.
26:40Let's go.
26:40Let's go.
27:07Let's go.
27:08Let's go.
27:14Let's go.
27:15Let's go.
27:33Let's go.
28:00Let's go.
28:03Let's go.
28:11Let's go.
28:13Let's go.
28:14Let's go.
28:14Let's go.
28:43Let's go.
28:49Let's go.
28:53Let's go.
29:10Let's go.
29:17Let's go.
29:33Let's go.
29:36Let's go.
29:36Let's go.
29:37Let's go.
29:44Let's go.
29:48Let's go.
29:58Let's go.
30:11Let's go.
30:13Let's go.
30:14Let's go.
30:16Let's go.
30:16Let's go.
30:16Let's go.
30:16Let's go.
30:17We're waiting for some time
30:30match when you leave thunder valley if you're even beastie today who got the better of who who
30:35has the mental advantage now going into the next round well i mean it's a hard question i i do
30:41believe both of them are mentally strong in two different ways i i just after what happened in
30:46supercross with hunter to bounce back that first race i don't think there's anything that can
30:49really uh get to him you know and hey deegan i feel like with him he's gained that confidence
30:56so as i say it's hard to tell because nothing's going to change with hunter hunter's going to be
31:00hunter but hey deegan's going to gain how does that play out throughout the season i would say
31:04the biggest winner today would probably be hey deegan because now you heard him in between that
31:09moto now even though he's going to beat hunter because hunter goes down he steals a win but
31:14they still chasing this guy they still got to figure out that this scenario and nobody has so
31:19far this year yet yes that's jet lawrence up front but deegan after that first race said
31:24he thought jet was looking back jet knows he's there starting to hear the confidence to
31:29chirping that deegan is known for yeah and and that's why i go back to kind of that that winning
31:36uh i hate deegan and and you know sometimes you can win without winning and i believe that today
31:42is that day for hey now last weekend he knew the pace with the lord he says hey he got
31:47the ride with
31:47him got the battle with him but he knew he wasn't close today he's going to go off that first
31:51moto like i could have had him i made these mistakes the second moto i felt like i rode better
31:56end up you know losing a little bit of ground so i think there's more positives of if things would
32:00have changed i would have beaten this guy compared to last weekend where he was like yeah i was there
32:04but i really wasn't there i feel like he has a better shot going into next weekend in his mind
32:10jt yeah just to add to that thought a little bit i i kind of felt like hayden was better
32:14in in race one just due to the track conditions you know he still wants to be really aggressive with
32:20the throttle application and i just felt like he was a little more equipped for the fight in the
32:24first moto than this one you know hunter kind of pushed him out of the way there i think hunter
32:28would have gotten away had he not fallen but some of that i just think is due to the track
32:32going away
32:33a little bit and you need a little bit more throttle control in race two and hayden hasn't really
32:37mastered that quite yet on the 450 yeah no i agree i tate definitely looked more racier like in that
32:44first race like he was more competitive to win what i was impressed with is that all those mistakes
32:49that he made on the track that had better traction it seemed like he got better this moto so i
32:54don't
32:54know if the team went back and figured out some things made some changes but he looked more just
32:58solid and he made his way up hunter was definitely going to get the better of him at this moto
33:02but
33:03to me the hayden i see an improvement i like what i see
33:09jett lawrence likes what he sees james white flag one lap to go he has outlasted the challenge
33:15for the very capable visitor the young lucas kunin who will end up second and hunter is barely clinging to
33:22that final overall podium spot as jets barely clinging to the racetrack there at the top of that hill
33:27march banks has been shadowing prado the entire race if march banks can make the pass on prado on
33:33this last lap he will go third overall today and get the stand on the podium and spray the champagne
33:38if he can't make the pass hunter lawrence will hang on and well done welcome to america lucas kunin
33:45he wasn't able to solve jet lawrence but look jet has won this is incredible 26 out of the 30
33:52races
33:52he has been in in 450 pro motocross so solving this riddle not easy for anyone no it's not but
33:59i'm
33:59impressed by lucas because you know we talked about earlier he's he's winning his championship over in
34:04europe and sure as happy as the team or want him to succeed they don't want any opportunity
34:10if something happens over he gets hurt there's a lot of pressure for him so he's kind of stuck in
34:15a spot to where he wants to race this guy but he also understands that the last thing you can
34:19do
34:19is come over and get hurt how do you race like that this kid showed me a lot today very
34:24impressed
34:24obviously jet lawrence is still next level only get better but you can't be nothing but impressed by
34:30all these guys especially lucas the state of the sport quite good when you've got this type of young
34:36talent the lawrence's deegan and now lucas kunin who would like to be able to race this championship
34:41full-time in the future he certainly showed he could be a contender somewhere down the road
34:47but jet lawrence the story remains the same hurt or not when he is on the racetrack in 450 pro
34:54motocross
34:55he's about as close to unbeatable as you can be bringing it home two weekends in a row he's gonna
35:02win both motos shows the number one and shows why still dominant still the man jet lawrence
35:11conquers thunder valley and pro motocross
35:15and lucas kunin in his first pro motocross race in america second in both motos very impressive
35:25deegan is gonna outlast hunter lawrence there was a good battle that lawrence crashed deegan will take
35:30third in this individual race will likely be sixth overall due to the crashing crashes and penalty in
35:38moto one i'm looking at the background i believe uh was hunter putting in one last charge he was
35:46cut the gap back down about in half there's prado and march banks was not able to get him so
35:52that will
35:53mean that hunter lawrence is on the podium and more congratulations
