00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:39Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:22and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
03:11as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord,
03:54because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The book of Proverbs, chapter 25.
04:19These also are Proverbs of Solomon,
04:22which the men of King Hezekiah of Judah copied.
04:27It is the glory of God to conceal the matter,
04:30and it is the glory of a king to search out a matter.
04:35As the heaven is high and the earth is deep,
04:38so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.
04:43Remove the dross from the silver,
04:45and material for the silversmith will emerge.
04:50Remove the wicked from before the king,
04:52and his throne will be established in righteousness.
04:57Do not honour yourself before the king,
05:00and do not stand in the place of great men.
05:03For it is better for him to say to you,
05:05Come up here,
05:07than to put you lower before a prince whom your eyes have seen.
05:12Do not go out hastily to litigation,
05:15or what will you do afterwards when your neighbour puts you to shame?
05:20When you argue a case with your neighbour,
05:23do not reveal the secret of another person,
05:26lest the one who hears it puts you to shame,
05:30and your infamy will never go away.
05:35Like apples of gold in sittings of silver,
05:40so is a word skilfully spoken.
05:43Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold,
05:47so is a wise reprover to the ear of the one who listens.
05:53Like the cold snow in the time of harvest,
05:56so is a faithful messenger to those who send him,
06:00for he refreshes the heart of his masters.
06:05Like cloudy skies and wind that produces no rain,
06:09is the one who boasts of a gift not given.
06:13Through patience a ruler can be persuaded,
06:16and a soft tongue can break a bone.
06:20When you find honey,
06:22eat only what is sufficient for you,
06:25lest you become stuffed with it and vomit it up.
06:30Do not set foot too frequently in your neighbour's house,
06:34lest he become weary of you and hate you.
06:38Like a club or a sword or a sharp arrow,
06:41so is the one who testifies against his neighbour
06:44as a false witness.
06:47Like a bad tooth or a foot out of joint,
06:50so is confidence in an unfaithful person
06:53at the time of trouble.
06:56Like one who takes off a garment on a cold day,
07:00or like vinegar poured on soda,
07:03so is the one who sings songs to a heavy heart.
07:09If your enemy is hungry,
07:11give him food to eat,
07:13and if he is thirsty,
07:14give him water to drink.
07:17For you will heap coals of fire on his head,
07:20and the Lord will reward you.
07:24The north wind brings forth rain,
07:27and the gossiping tongue brings forth an angry look.
07:31It is better to live on the corner of the housetop
07:34than in a house in company with a quarrelsome wife.
07:40Like a cold water to a weary person,
07:42so is good news from a distant land.
07:46Like a muddied spring and a polluted well,
07:49so is a righteous person who gives way before the wicked.
07:56It is not good to eat too much honey,
07:59nor is it honourable for people to seek their own glory.
08:04Like a city that is broken down and without a wall,
08:07so is a person who cannot control his temper.
08:12This is the word of the Lord.
08:15Thanks be to God.
08:22Blessed be, O Lord, my spread,
08:27who did my hands to war,
08:31and my people to Christ.
08:35My hope and my protest,
08:39my counsel and deliver,
08:43my defender in whom I trust.
08:49O Lord, my God,
08:51who's a Jew and my people,
08:54that is of the need.
08:59Do not it God,
09:03that thou hast such respect unto him,
09:09O the sufferer,
09:12that thou so regardest me.

16:21That my power, my glory, and mighty hands of thy kingdom, might be no honor to dwell.
16:35Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and might a million and joy flow out to ages.

23:21The Epistle to the Romans, Chapter 1
23:26Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, an apostle by the selection of God, given authority as preacher of the good
23:35news,
23:36of which God had given word before by his prophets in the holy writings,
23:41about his Son who in the flesh came from the family of David,
23:45but was marked out as Son of God in power by the Holy Spirit,
23:50through the coming to life again of the dead.
23:54Jesus Christ, our Lord, through whom grace has been given to us,
23:59sending us out to make disciples to the faith among all nations for his name.
24:04Among you, in the same way, have been marked out to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
24:09To all those who are in Rome, loved by God and marked out as saints,
24:17grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24:26First of all, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you,
24:30because your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.
24:35For God, whom I serve in my spirit by preaching the gospel of his Son,
24:40is my witness that I continually remember you,
24:44and I always ask in my prayers,
24:47if, perhaps now at last, I may succeed in visiting you according to the will of God.
24:54For I long to see you,
24:56so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you,
25:01that is, that we may be mutually comforted by one another's faith,
25:06both yours and mine.
25:10I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters,
25:14that I often intended to come to you,
25:17and was prevented until now,
25:19so that I may have fruit even among you,
25:23just as I already have among the rest of the Gentiles.
25:28I am a debtor both to the Greeks and to the barbarians,
25:32both to the wise and to the foolish.
25:36Thus, I am eager also to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome.
25:42I am not ashamed of the gospel,
25:44for it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believes,
25:49to the Jew first and also to the Greek,
25:52because righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith,
25:59just as it is written,
26:00the righteous will by faith live.
26:05The wrath of God is revealed from heaven
26:08against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people
26:11who suppress the truth through their unrighteousness.
26:16Because what can be known about God is plain to them,
26:20because God has made it plain to them.
26:24Since the creation of the world,
26:26his invisible attributes,
26:28his eternal power and divine nature,
26:31have been clearly seen,
26:33because they are understood through what has been made.
26:37So people are without excuse.
26:42Although they knew God,
26:43they did not glorify him as God,
26:45or give him thanks,
26:47but they became futile in their thoughts,
26:50and their senseless hearts were darkened.
26:53Though they claimed to be wise,
26:55they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God
26:59for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds,
27:04or four-footed animals or reptiles.
27:07Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts
27:11to impurity,
27:13to dishonour their bodies among themselves.
27:17They exchanged the truth of God for a lie,
27:20and worshipped and served the creation rather than the creator,
27:26who is blessed forever.
27:30Amen.
27:32This is the word of the Lord.
27:35Thanks be to God.
27:42Collect for Peace
27:44O God, who is the author of peace
27:47and lover of concord,
27:49in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life,
27:53whose service is perfect freedom.
27:55Defend us, your humble servants,
27:58in all assaults of our enemies,
28:00that we, surely trusting in your defence,
28:04may not fear the power of any adversaries.
28:07through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord.
28:11Amen.
28:16Collect for our safe preservation
28:19O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
28:22Almighty and everlasting God,
28:24who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day.
28:28Defend us in the same with your mighty power
28:30and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
28:35neither run into any kind of danger,
28:38but that all our doings may be ordered
28:41by your governance
28:43to do always that which is righteous in your sight.
28:48Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
28:51Amen.
28:55Lord, let me accept calmly all
28:58that this day might bring me
29:00and let me devote myself completely
29:03to your sacred will.
29:06Direct me and help me each hour of this day
29:10control my thoughts and feelings
29:12in all my deeds and words.
29:16When unpredictable circumstances arise,
29:19do not let me forget
29:20that everything comes from you.
29:24Lord Jesus, Son of God,
29:27it is better not to live
29:28than to live without you.
29:31I thank you, God,
29:32for the gift of this new day
29:34and for all the good deeds
29:36you will help me do today.
29:40Holy Spirit,
29:41help me to dedicate this day
29:43to my Lord and Saviour.
29:46Teach me to be just
29:48toward my brother and sister,
29:50never to provoke wrath
29:52or cause sorrow.
29:55Control my will
29:56and teach me to pray,
29:58to believe,
29:59to hope,
30:00to suffer,
30:01to forgive
30:02and to love.
30:05Amen.
30:09We pray for the work
30:11of your faithful servants
30:12throughout the world, Lord.
30:16Lord, in your mercy,
30:17hear our prayer.
30:22May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
30:25the love of God,
30:26and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,
30:29be with us all today
30:31and for evermore.
30:34Amen.
