00:04The Gospel of St Luke, Chapter 15, Verses 18 and 19
00:12I will arise and go to my Father, and will say to him,
00:18Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee,
00:22and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
00:29Dearly beloved brethren, the Scripture moves us in sundry places
00:34to acknowledge and confess our manifold sins and wickedness,
00:40but that we should not disassemble nor clothe them
00:45before the face of Almighty God our Heavenly Father,
00:49but confess them with a humble, lowly, penitent and obedient heart.
00:56To the end that we may obtain forgiveness of the same
01:00by His infinite goodness and mercy.
01:05And although we ought at all times humbly to acknowledge our sins before God,
01:11yet ought we chiefly so to do,
01:14when we assemble and meet together,
01:16to render thanks for the great benefits we have received at His hands.
01:20to set forth His most worthy praise,
01:24to hear His most holy word,
01:28and to ask those things which are requisite and necessary,
01:32as well for the body as the soul.
01:37Wherefore, I pray and beseech you,
01:39as many as are here present,
01:41to accompany me with a pure heart and humble voice
01:45to the throne of the heavenly grace,
01:49saying after me,
01:53Almighty and most merciful Father,
01:56we have erred and strayed from Thy ways like lost sheep.
02:02We have followed too much
02:04the devices and desires of our own hearts.
02:09We have offended against Thy holy laws.
02:14We have left undone those things which we ought to have done,
02:19and we have done those things we ought not to have done,
02:22and there is no health in us.
02:27But Thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us,
02:30miserable offenders.
02:33Spare Thou them, O God, who confess their faults.
02:37Restore Thou those who are penitent,
02:40according to Thy promises declared unto mankind
02:44in Christ Jesus our Lord.
02:47And grant, O most merciful Father, for His sake,
02:51that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life.
02:57To the glory of Thy holy name.
03:00Amen.
03:04Almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
03:08who desireth not the death of a sinner,
03:11but rather that He turn from His wickedness and live,
03:15and has given power and commandment to His ministers
03:19to declare and pronounce to His people,
03:22being penitent,
03:25the absolution and remission of their sins.
03:30He pardoneth and absolveth all
03:32who truly repent
03:34and unfaimly believe His holy gospel.
03:40Wherefore, let us beseech Him to grant us true repentance
03:44and His Holy Spirit,
03:46that those things may please Him
03:49which we do at this present,
03:52and that the rest of our life hereafter
03:54may be pure and holy,
03:56so that at the last
03:57we may come to His eternal joy.

07:17The heavens declare the glory of God,
07:19and the firmament showeth His handiwork.

07:28There is neither speech nor language,
07:31but their voices are heard among them.

07:36into all the lands,
07:39and their words into the ends of the world.
07:44In them hath He set a tabernacle for the Son,
07:47which cometh forth as a bridegroom out of His chamber,
07:51and rejoices at the child to run His course.
07:55It goeth forth from the uttermost part of heaven,
07:58and runneth about until the end of it again.
08:01But there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
08:06The law of the Lord is an undefiled law,

08:11The testimony of the Lord is sure,

08:22The commandment of the Lord is pure,

09:43The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble.
09:46The name of the God of Jacob,

11:06The King shall rejoice in thy strength, O Lord,
11:10exceeding glad shall he be of thy salvation.
11:14Thou hast given him his heart's desire,
11:17and hast not denied him the request of his lips.
11:21For thou shalt prevent him with the blessings of goodness,
11:26and shalt set a crown of pure gold upon his head.
11:31He asks the life of thee,
11:33and thou gavest him a long life,
11:35even for ever and ever.
11:38His honour is great in thy salvation,
11:41glory and great worship that thou lay upon him.
11:45For thou shalt give him everlasting felicity,
11:49and make him glad with the joy of thy countenance.
11:53And why?
11:54Because the King putteth his trust in the Lord,
11:57and in the mercy of the Most Highest,
12:00he shall not miscarry.
12:03All thine enemies shall feel thine hand,
12:06thy right hand shall find them out that hate thee.
12:11Thou shalt make them like a fiery oven in the time of thy wrath.
12:15The Lord shall destroy them in his displeasure,
12:18and the fire shall consume them.
12:22Their fruit shalt thou root out of the earth,
12:25and their seed from amongst the children of men.
12:29For they intended mischief against thee,
12:31and imagined such a device as they are not able to perform.
12:37Therefore shalt thou put them to flight,

13:07The Prophet Ezekiel, Chapter 20
13:12In the seventh year, in the fifth month,
13:15the tenth day of the month,
13:16some of the elders of Israel came to inquire of Yahweh,
13:20and sat before me.
13:22Yahweh's word came to me saying,
13:24Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and tell them.
13:28Thus says the Lord Yahweh,
13:31Is it to inquire of me that you have come?
13:34As I live, says the Lord Yahweh,
13:36I will not be inquired of by you.
13:40Will you judge them, son of man?
13:42Will you judge them?
13:44Cause them to know the abominations of their fathers?
13:48Tell them,
13:49Thus says the Lord Yahweh,
13:51In the day when I chose Israel,
13:54swearing to the offspring of the house of Jacob,
13:57making myself known to them in the land of Egypt,
14:00when I swore to them, saying,
14:02I am Yahweh your God.
14:05In that day I swore to them
14:07to bring them out of the land of Egypt
14:09into a land that I had searched out for,
14:12flowing with milk and honey,
14:14which is the glory of all lands.
14:17I said to them,
14:19Each of you throw away the abominations of his eyes.
14:24Do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt.
14:27I am Yahweh your God.
14:30But they rebelled against me
14:32and would not listen to me.
14:34They did not throw away the abominations of their eyes.
14:37They also did not forsake the idols of Egypt.
14:42Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them
14:45to accomplish my anger against them
14:47in the middle of the land of Egypt.
14:51But I worked for my name's sake
14:53that it not be profaned in the sight of the nations
14:55among which they were in,
14:58in whose sight I made myself known to them,
15:01bringing them out of the land of Egypt.
15:05So I caused them to go out from the land of Egypt
15:08and took them into the wilderness.
15:10I gave them my statutes
15:12and showed them my ordinances,
15:14which if a man does, he will live in them.
15:18Moreover, I also gave them my Sabbaths
15:20to be a sign between me and them,
15:23that they might know that I am Yahweh
15:26who sanctifies them.
15:29But the house of Israel rebelled against me
15:31in the wilderness.
15:32They did not walk in my statutes.
15:34They rejected my ordinances,
15:37which if a man keeps,
15:39he shall live in them.
15:40They greatly profaned my Sabbaths.
15:43Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them
15:46in the wilderness to consume them.
15:49But I worked for my name's sake
15:51that it should not be profaned in the sight of nations
15:53in whose sight I brought them out.
15:57Moreover, I also swore to them in the wilderness
16:00that I would not bring them to the land I had given them,
16:04flowing with milk and honey,
16:05which is the glory of all lands.
16:08Because they rejected my ordinances,
16:11they did not walk in my statutes,
16:13and profaned my Sabbaths,
16:15for their hearts went after their idols.
16:20Even so, my eyes spared them,
16:22and I did not destroy them.
16:24I did not make a full end of them
16:26there and then in the wilderness.
16:28I said to their children in the wilderness,
16:31Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers.
16:34Do not observe the ordinances
16:36or defile yourselves with their idols.
16:39I am Yahweh, your God.
16:42Walk in my statutes,
16:44keep my ordinances and do them.
16:47Make my Sabbaths holy.
16:49They shall be a sign between me and you,
16:52that you may know that I am Yahweh, your God.
16:57But the children rebelled against me.
16:59They did not walk in my statutes
17:01and did not keep my ordinances to do them,
17:04which, if a man does, he shall live in them.
17:09They profaned my Sabbaths.

17:37because they had not executed my ordinances,
17:40but had rejected my statutes,
17:43profaning my Sabbaths,
17:44and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.
17:49Moreover, also, I gave them statutes that were not good
17:52and ordinances in which they should not live.
17:56I polluted them in their own gifts,
17:58in that they caused all that opens the womb
18:01to pass through the fire,
18:02that I might not make them desolate,
18:05to the end that they may know that I am Yahweh.
18:10Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel.
18:13Tell them, thus says the Lord Yahweh,
18:17Moreover, in this your fathers have blasphemed to me,
18:21in that they have committed sins against me.
18:23For when I brought them into the land
18:26which I swore to give them,
18:28they saw every high hill,
18:31every thick tree,
18:32and they offered there their sacrifices,
18:35and they presented the provocation of their offering.
18:39There they also made their pleasant aroma,
18:42where they poured out their drink offerings.
18:45Then I said to them,
18:47What does the high place where you go mean?
18:51So its name is called Baba to this day.
18:55So therefore, tell the house of Israel,
18:58Thus says the Lord Yahweh,
19:00Do you pollute yourselves in the way of your fathers?
19:04Do you play the prostitute after their abominations?
19:07When you offer your gifts,
19:09when you make your sons pass through the fire,
19:12do you pollute yourselves with all your idols to this day?
19:16Should I be inquired of by you, house of Israel?
19:20As I live, says the Lord Yahweh,
19:23I will not be inquired of by you.
19:26That which comes into your mind will not be at all.
19:30In that you say,
19:31We will be as the nations,
19:33as the families of the countries,
19:35who serve wood and stone.
19:37As I live, says the Lord Yahweh,
19:40surely with a mighty hand,
19:41with an outstretched arm,
19:43and with wrath poured out,
19:45I will be king over you.
19:47I will bring you out from the peoples,
19:49and will gather you out of the countries
19:51into which you are scattered,
19:53with a mighty hand,
19:54with an outstretched arm,
19:56and with wrath poured out.
19:59I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples,
20:02and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.
20:06Just as I entered into judgment with your fathers
20:08in the wilderness of the land of Egypt,
20:11so I will enter into judgment with you,
20:14said Lord Yahweh.
20:16I will cause you to pass under the rod.
20:19I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.
20:22I will purge out from among you the rebels,
20:25and those who disobey you.
20:28I will bring them out of the land where they live,
20:30but they shall not enter into the land of Israel.
20:34Then you will know that I am Yahweh.
20:39As for you, house of Israel,
20:41thus says the Lord Yahweh,
20:44Go, everyone serve his idols,
20:46and hereafter also,
20:47if you will not listen to me.
20:50But you shall no more profane my holy name
20:52with your gifts and with your idols.
20:54For in my holy mountain,
20:56in the mountain of the height of Israel,
20:58says the Lord Yahweh,
21:00there all the hosts of Israel,
21:02all of them shall serve me in the land.
21:05There I will accept them,
21:07and there I will require your offerings
21:09and the firstfruits of your offerings,
21:11with all your holy things.
21:13I will accept you as a pleasant aroma
21:16when I bring you out from the peoples
21:18and scatter you out of the countries
21:21into which you have been scattered.
21:23I will be sanctified in you
21:25in the sight of the nations.
21:27You will know that I am Yahweh
21:29when I bring you into the land of Israel,
21:32into the country which I swore to give your fathers.
21:37There you will remember your ways
21:38and all your deeds in which you polluted yourselves.
21:42Then you will loathe yourselves in your own sight
21:44for all your evils that you have committed.
21:48You will know that I am Yahweh
21:49when I have dealt with you for my name's sake,
21:52not according to your evil ways,
21:55not according to your corrupt doings.
21:58You, house of Israel, says the Lord Yahweh.
22:03Yahweh's word came to me, saying,
22:05Son of man, set your face to the south,
22:08preach to the south,
22:10prophesy against the forest of the field in the south.
22:14Tell the forest of the south,
22:16hear Yahweh's word.
22:18Thus says the Lord Yahweh,
22:20Behold, I will kindle a fire in you.
22:22It will devour every green tree in you
22:25and every dry tree.
22:27The burning flame will not be quenched,
22:29and all the faces from the south to the north
22:32will be burnt by it.
22:34All flesh will see that I, Yahweh, kindled it.
22:37It will not be quenched.
22:41Then I said,
22:42Ah, Lord Yahweh, they say of me,
22:45isn't he a speaker of parables?
22:48This is the word of the Lord.

22:59We acknowledge thee to be the Lord.

25:43The first epistle to the Corinthians,
25:46chapter 14.
25:49Pursue love,
25:50be eager for spiritual gifts,
25:53especially that you may prophesy.
25:56For the one speaking in the tongue
25:57does not speak to people but to God,
26:00for no one understands.
26:02He speaks mysteries by the Spirit.
26:06But the one who prophesies speaks to the people
26:08for their strengthening,
26:10encouragement,
26:11and consolation.
26:13The one who speaks in the tongue
26:15builds himself up,
26:16but the one who prophesies
26:18builds up the church.
26:20I wish you all spoke in tongues,
26:22but even more that you would prophesy.
26:25For the one who prophesies
26:27is greater than the one who speaks in tongues,
26:30unless he interprets
26:31so that the church may be strengthened.
26:36Now, brothers and sisters,
26:37if I came to you speaking in tongues,
26:39how will I help you,
26:41unless I speak to you with a revelation,
26:43or with knowledge,
26:44or prophecy,
26:45or teaching?
26:47It is similar for lifeless things
26:49that make a sound,
26:50like a flute or a harp.
26:52Unless they make a distinction in the notes,
26:55how can what is played on the flute or harp
26:57be understood?
27:00For instance,
27:01if the trumpet makes an unclear sound,
27:04who will get ready for battle?
27:06It is the same for you.
27:08If you do not speak clearly with your tongue,
27:10how will anyone know what is being said?
27:13For you will be speaking into the air.
27:17There are probably many kinds of languages
27:20in the world,
27:21and none is without meaning.
27:24If then I do not know the meaning of a language,
27:26I will be a foreigner to the speaker,
27:28and the speaker a foreigner to me.
27:32It is the same with you.
27:34Since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit,
27:38seek to abound in order to strengthen the church.
27:44So then,
27:45one who speaks in a tongue
27:46should pray that he may interpret.
27:49If I pray in a tongue,
27:51my spirit prays,
27:52but my mind is unproductive.
27:55What should I do?
27:57I will pray with my spirit,
27:59but I will also pray with my mind.
28:01I will sing praises with my spirit,
28:04but I will also sing praises with my mind.
28:07Otherwise,
28:08if you are praising God with your spirit,
28:10how can someone without the gift say
28:12Amen to your thanksgiving,
28:14since he cannot tell what you are saying?
28:18For you are certainly giving thanks well,
28:20but the other person is not strengthened.
28:24I thank God that I speak in tongues
28:26more than all of you,
28:28but in the church,
28:29I want to speak five words with my mind
28:31to instruct others,
28:32rather than ten thousand words in a tongue.
28:37This is the word of the Lord.
28:40Thanks be to God.
28:49Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
28:52for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
28:56and hath raised up a mighty salvation for us
28:59in the house of his servant David,
29:03as he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets,
29:06which have since been since the world began,
29:09that we should be saved from our enemies
29:12and from the hand of all that hate us,
29:16to perform the mercy promised to our forefathers
29:20and to remember his holy covenant,
29:23to perform the oath which he swore to our forefather Abraham
29:27that he would give us,
29:29that would be delivered out of the hand of our enemies,
29:33might serve him without fear,
29:35in holiness and righteousness before him
29:39all the days of our life.
