00:00:19Our help is in the name of the Lord, who may heaven and earth glory be to the Father and
00:00:25to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall
00:00:30be, world without end.
00:00:31Amen.
00:01:08Good morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and welcome on this 13th Sunday in Ordinary
00:01:14Time.
00:01:15Let's begin with our morning praise found on page B7 of your White Pew Prayer Books, page
00:01:24B7.
00:01:26Blessed be the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who enlighten and sanctify our souls
00:01:30and bodies at all times, now and always, and forever and ever.
00:01:35Amen.
00:01:36O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall hear your praise.
00:01:40When you give them breath, they live.
00:01:42You give new life to the earth.
00:01:45Alleluia.
00:01:46Praise the Lord, my soul.
00:01:48Lord, my God, how great you are.
00:01:51You are clothed with majesty and glory.
00:01:54You cover yourself with light.
00:01:56You stretched out the heavens like a tent and built your home on the waters above.
00:02:02You use the clouds as your chariot and walk on the wings of the wind.
00:02:07You use the winds as your messengers and flashes of lightning as your servants.
00:02:12From heaven you send rain on the mountains, and the earth is filled with your blessings.
00:02:18You make grass grow for the cattle and plants for man to use, so he can grow his crops and
00:02:25produce wine to make him happy, olive oil to make him cheerful, and bread to give him
00:02:31strength.
00:02:32Lord, you have made so many things.
00:02:34How wisely you made them all.
00:02:37The earth is filled with your creatures.
00:02:39All of them depend on you to give them food when they need it.
00:02:43You give it to them, and they eat it.
00:02:46You provide food, and they are satisfied.
00:02:49When you turn away, they are afraid.
00:02:51When you hold back your breath, they die and go back to the soil they came from.
00:02:57When you give them breath, they live.
00:02:59You give new life to the earth.
00:03:02May the glory of the Lord last forever.
00:03:04May the Lord be happy with what he made.
00:03:07I will sing to the Lord all my life.
00:03:10I will sing praises to my God as long as I live.
00:03:14Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
00:03:18As it was in the beginning, it was in the hour of your child.
00:03:21For it is God, and amen.
00:03:23Let us pray.
00:03:25O God, on the first Pentecost, you instructed the hearts of those who believed in you by the
00:03:31light of the Holy Spirit.
00:03:33Under the inspiration of the same Spirit, give us a taste for what is right and true.
00:03:38In a continuing sense of his joy-bringing presence and power, we ask this through Jesus Christ,
00:03:44our Lord.
00:03:46Amen.
00:03:46A reading taken from Paul's letter to the church at Galatia.
00:03:50Do not deceive yourselves.
00:03:53No one makes a fool of God.
00:03:55A man will reap exactly what he plants.
00:03:58If he plants in the field of his natural desires, from it he will gather the harvest of death.
00:04:04If he plants in the field of the Spirit, from the Spirit he will gather the harvest of eternal life.
00:04:10So let us not become tired of doing good.
00:04:13For if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.
00:04:17So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone,
00:04:22but especially to those who belong to our family in the faith.
00:04:27Our help comes from the Lord.
00:04:32Lord, have mercy.
00:04:35Christ, have mercy.
00:04:38Lord, have mercy.
00:04:41Let us once again hold up in prayer and petition all those who have asked for our prayers for their
00:04:45health
00:04:46and for their healing, that God, who is the Father of mercy through his Son, Jesus,
00:04:51may grant them all that is needful to them.
00:04:53We pray especially for Laura, Stan, Kelly, Curtis, Joshua, Tom, Karen, Gregory,
00:05:03Teresa, Michelle, Susan, Gary, Gary and Sandra, Fred, Teresa, Carla, Francine, Eileen, Joyce,
00:05:13Michael, Francis, Dan, Bob, Brian, Tom, Dawn, Fran, Bob, Bishop John, Bishop Paul, Gordon, Amy, Liz, Dorothy,
00:05:27Jennifer, Steve, Susan, Ed, Chip, Jacqueline, Dan, Don, Dewey and Barbara,
00:05:35Sarah, Jeremy, Ross, and all in need of God's healing grace.
00:05:42We pray for all those who serve in the armed forces of the United States,
00:05:47especially Michael, Mark, Patrick, Charlie, Father Joseph, Father Andrew, Father Andrew,
00:05:54Father Nadim, Father Mariusz, and for all of our veterans.
00:05:58We pray for all those who serve in the armed forces, for all those in public service,
00:06:03our civil servants, police officers, and firefighters, all active and retired clergy of our Holy Church,
00:06:09for all students and teachers at Mount Pleasant Middle School, now that they're on their summer break,
00:06:15for all residents and staff of City Mission of Schenectady, for the residents and staff of Pathways,
00:06:21for all members of the Civil Air Patrol, and for all who have asked for prayers for any need or
00:06:27intention.
00:06:28And this week and for the weeks to come, we pray for our Holy Church as we approach Holy Synod,
00:06:35that the Church, through the inspiration and work of the Holy Spirit,
00:06:40may be strengthened and renewed each and every day.
00:06:44And we bind all these prayers together and hold them up before God the Father,
00:06:50in the words Jesus taught us.
00:06:53Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
00:06:57Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
00:07:02Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
00:07:07as we forgive those who trespass against us.
00:07:10And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
00:07:15Amen.
00:07:16Let us pray.
00:07:18Accept our morning worship of praise and supplication.
00:07:23O gracious almighty God, give us unshakable faith, firm hope, and sincere love.
00:07:29Bless our comings and our goings, our deeds and our desires, our work and our prayer.
00:07:35Blessed and praised be your precious name, in your mighty power,
00:07:39Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and forever.
00:07:43Amen.
00:07:45Lord, hear our prayer.
00:07:48Let us bless the Lord.
00:07:51Thanks be to God.
00:07:53Well, good morning, my dear brothers and sisters,
00:07:55and welcome again on this 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
00:08:00A few quick announcements.
00:08:02Please keep inviting people to join us in worship and fellowship to meet the Lord along with us.
00:08:10Please pray each day for our upcoming Holy Synod,
00:08:14asking the Holy Spirit to pour forth his blessings upon our holy church.
00:08:22And, you know, please, please keep that prayer each and every day.
00:08:27It is so vital and important to the life of the church.
00:08:31Some saints for this week ahead.
00:08:34We will honor St. Irenaeus, St. Paul of Rome,
00:08:39St. Peter and Paul, the Apostles,
00:08:42St. Emma, Bertrand, Flavian, and Elias,
00:08:47Andrew of Crete, may they pray for us
00:08:50so that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
00:08:55The penance for this week is noted in your bulletin.
00:08:59Please take it with you so you can recall that.
00:09:03As starting today, we will have low mass on Sunday.
00:09:07I lit too many candles, but that's okay.
00:09:10We'll fix that by next week.
00:09:12And that will, so we will sing hymns during Holy Mass.
00:09:18We will not sing the propers or the ordinaries of the Mass for the summer months.
00:09:26Thank you to all who turned out and prayed with us for our holy hour
00:09:32before the Blessed Sacrament,
00:09:34for the gift of vocations to the priesthood and diaconate.
00:09:38We extend our deepest sympathies to Liz, Carol, Nick, Teresa, and Mike
00:09:44on the passing of their dad.
00:09:47He passed away yesterday.
00:09:49May he rest in peace.
00:09:50Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
00:09:53and may the perpetual light shine upon him.
00:09:57Arrangements are currently being made.
00:09:59We'll keep you informed of that.
00:10:01Next week, Deacon Mark will be with us.
00:10:05He's coming up from New Jersey.
00:10:06Please, and I ask you to please be here, to be present,
00:10:11and to be very generous with Deacon Mark.
00:10:14As we know, Deacon Mark experienced several tragedies in this past year,
00:10:20and he's a very faithful, very loving,
00:10:25a very diligent servant of God's holy church.
00:10:28So please give him your support and your love and compassion in the week ahead for next Sunday.
00:10:37I will, of course, be at the Kurskamp and at the seminary for the next two weeks.
00:10:44So then I will be back for the week following, for the Sunday the 12th,
00:10:51and then I will be at encampment at Hancock Air Force Base in Syracuse for the week after that.
00:11:01And Deacon Mark will join us once again for that period of time.
00:11:07Again, for the week ahead, tomorrow is the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles.
00:11:13We'll have Holy Mass tomorrow and Food Pantry, of course.
00:11:17And then, of course, there will not be Holy Mass for the next two weeks during the week,
00:11:23because, again, I'll be at Kursk and the seminary next, this coming Saturday is the 4th of July.
00:11:33It is the 250th anniversary of our nation.
00:11:37Please keep the good of our nation in your prayers.
00:11:41Please keep the gift of vocations in your prayers.
00:11:44And, again, asking the Holy Spirit in the weeks ahead to bless our Holy Church
00:11:51with his inspiration in light of the upcoming Holy Synod.
00:11:56With that, let us now rise and begin our worship with song.
00:12:11Come, love the Lord, his heart is seeking, yearning and reaching
00:12:24For our hearts meeting
00:12:29For us he bore the pain of the lenses
00:12:39Come, let us love him
00:12:45Come, let us love him
00:12:52Come, let us love him
00:13:05Come unto Jesus
00:13:15Come, all creation
00:13:19And to his heart now
00:13:24Offer thanksgiving
00:13:29Offer thanksgiving
00:13:31Bow low before him
00:13:34In adoration
00:13:39Come, let us love him
00:13:44Come, let us love him
00:13:49Come, let us love him
00:14:05Come, let us love him

00:14:10Come, let us love him
00:14:12Come, let us love him
00:14:14Come, let us love him
00:14:14Now, you lowly sinners, unto his heart a fond, poor, and glistening.
00:14:29Washed is the sick soul, stained with transgressions.
00:14:38Come, let us love him, washed is the sick soul, stained with transgressions.
00:14:58Come, let us love him, come, let us love him.
00:15:10Again, good morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and welcome on this 13th Sunday in Ordinary
00:15:17Time.
00:15:18Jesus continues to instruct us in these weeks in how we are to live, how we are to act, how
00:15:26we are to model his life in our world amongst all those we encounter.
00:15:34Today's Holy Mass is offered for Reverend Jonathan Trella.
00:15:39Today, this very day, is the 29th anniversary of his passing into eternal life.
00:15:48So let us, in a very special way today, remember him and pray for the repose of his soul.
00:15:57Today's Holy Mass is found in your worship aid.
00:16:00In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
00:16:04Lord, bless us with the wisdom to praise you in spirit and in truth, so that by following
00:16:09your holy will, we may gain eternal salvation.
00:16:14My dear brothers and sisters, let us now pause, confess our sins to God, and prepare ourselves
00:16:20so that we may worthily participate in this holy sacrifice.
00:16:25Let us now complete our examination of conscience, confessing our sins privately to God and seeking
00:16:32his forgiveness.
00:16:57And we called our sinfulness in seeking reconciliation with God and each other.
00:17:02Let us now recite the confiter as indicated in your worship aid.
00:17:06I confess to Almighty God, in the presence of the Blessed Virgin Mary, all the saints and you,
00:17:14my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault, in my thoughts, in my words,
00:17:21in what I have done or failed to do.
00:17:24I ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, all the saints and you, my brothers and sisters,
00:17:30to pray for me to the Lord our God.
00:17:33As an act of penance for our sinfulness, in the week ahead, let us offer a compliment
00:17:39to someone we have never complimented before.
00:17:43May it be among one of our parishioners, someone we know in our everyday lives.
00:17:50Offer them a good wish.
00:17:53Cheer them with that compliment.
00:17:56May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
00:18:02May our Lord Jesus Christ absolve you.
00:18:04With his authority vested in me, I absolve you from all your sins.
00:18:08In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
00:18:13Amen.
00:18:17Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send, receives me, and whoever receives
00:18:26me, receives the one who sent me.
00:18:29Welcome one another then, as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God.
00:18:36Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
00:18:39Glory be to the Son, and to the Son, and to the Son, and to the Son, and to the
00:18:45Son, and
00:18:46glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth.
00:19:04Lord God, Heavenly King, Almighty God and Father, we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you
00:19:12for your glory. Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the
00:19:20sins of the world. Have mercy on us. You are seated at the right hand of the Father. Receive our
00:19:27prayer
00:19:28for you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ,
00:19:35with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen. The Lord be with you. Let us pray.
00:19:47Almighty Father, you welcome all who come to you in sincerity of heart. Help us never to doubt your
00:19:55tenderness, but rather to entrust ourselves to your mercy and to walk humbly with one another.
00:20:03We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the Holy Spirit,
00:20:09one God forever and ever. Amen. Let us now be seated and attentive to the Lord's Word.
00:20:25Amen. A reading from the second book of Kings. One day Elijah came to Sharam, where there was a woman
00:20:53of influence who urged him to dine with her. Afterward, whenever he passed by, he used to stop
00:21:02there to dine. So she said to her husband, I know that Elijah is a holy man of God. Since
00:21:11he visits us
00:21:13often, let us arrange a little room on the roof and furnish it for him with a bed, table, chairs,
00:21:22and lamp. So that when he comes to us, he can stay there. Sometimes later, Elijah arrived and stayed in
00:21:35the room
00:21:35overnight. Later, Elijah said, could something be done for her? His servant, Gaeza, answered, yes.
00:21:47She has no son, and her husband is getting on in years. Elijah said, call her. When the woman
00:21:57had been called and stood at the door, Elijah promised, this time next year, you will be fondly
00:22:07a baby son. The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God. Our responsorial psalm today is, forever I will
00:22:18sing
00:22:19the goodness of the Lord. Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord. The promises of the Lord I
00:22:29will
00:22:29sing forever. Through all generations, my mouth shall proclaim your faithfulness. For you have said,
00:22:38my kindness is established forever. In heaven, you have confirmed your faithfulness.
00:22:47Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.
00:22:54blessed be the people who know the joyful shout in the light of your countenance. Oh, Lord, they walk
00:23:03at your name. They rejoice all the day, and through your justice, they are exalted. Forever I will sing the
00:23:14goodness of the Lord.
00:23:15Lord. You are the splendor of their strength, and by your favor, our horn exalted. For to the Lord
00:23:27belongs our shield, and to the Holy One of Israel, our King. Forever I will sing the goodness of the
00:23:38Lord.
00:23:40A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Romans. Brothers and sisters, are you unaware that we who
00:23:50were
00:23:50baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were indeed buried with him through baptism
00:24:01into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too
00:24:11might live in the newness of life.
00:24:15If, then, we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. We know that Christ,
00:24:26Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has power over him. As to his death,
00:24:36he died to sin once and for all. As to his life, he lives for God. Consequently, you too must
00:24:46think of
00:24:46yourself as dead to sin and living for God in Christ Jesus. The word of the Lord.
00:24:54Thanks be to God.
00:25:15Please rise.
00:25:17Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
00:25:22Like clay in the hands of a potter, to be molded according to his pleasure, so are men in the
00:25:29hands of their
00:25:29creator, to be assigned by him their function. Alleluia, alleluia.
00:25:49The Lord be with you.
00:25:52A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew.
00:25:56Glory be to you, O Lord.
00:25:59Jesus said to his apostles,
00:26:02Whoever loves father and mother more than me is not worthy of me.
00:26:09And whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
00:26:14And whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
00:26:22Whoever finds his life will lose it,
00:26:25and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
00:26:29Whoever receives you receives me,
00:26:32and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.
00:26:37Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward.
00:26:43And whoever receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward.
00:26:50And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink.
00:26:57Because this little one is a disciple.
00:27:01Amen, I say to you.
00:27:03He will surely not lose his reward.
00:27:07This is the Gospel of the Lord.
00:27:10Praise be to you, O Lord Jesus Christ.
00:27:14Amen.
00:27:30O Holy Spirit, come inspire us.
00:27:37Send your servant, all the kids among us.
00:27:44As we hear your word, O Salma,
00:27:51teach our hearts to know your wisdom.
00:27:56As we hear your word, O Salma,
00:28:02teach our hearts to know your wisdom.
00:28:25Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
00:28:31In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
00:28:34Amen.
00:28:34My dear brothers and sisters,
00:28:37we are to live faith actively.
00:28:42A faith that permeates every aspect of our being, of our lives.
00:28:52Scripture calls us to actively acknowledge Jesus before others.
00:29:13Jesus continues today to discuss those traits we are to necessarily integrate into our lives.
00:29:25He begins with a warning.
00:29:28And it is a warning against self-centeredness.
00:29:34Love, indeed, is a powerful thing.
00:29:38We all know that.
00:29:41And if our love focus is centered on things other than God,
00:29:46and God's way of life.
00:29:50We lose our way, and we lose our life.
00:29:56We lose that gift of eternal life that God has promised for us,
00:30:02that he has promised to those who are faithful.
00:30:07On the other hand, if our focus is God, and is other-centered, we find true life.
00:30:20Now, we could be other-centered.
00:30:23Other-centered is a wonderful thing to be.
00:30:27And many people are other-centered.
00:30:30But the caution is that that other-centeredness,
00:30:36our sacrificial love, must begin and end in God.
00:30:44That is the perfect way of loving others.
00:30:51A reading from Kings, the first reading today,
00:30:55illustrates the way we are to live.
00:30:58It is actually a very good example of right living in God.
00:31:05Elisha's encounter with the Shunammite woman
00:31:09shows a person of faith.
00:31:13A person who is other-centered.
00:31:17Let's look at how she lived.
00:31:22First of all, she offered and shared generously.
00:31:29This woman, who was rather wealthy, she had means,
00:31:39not only provided food for Elisha when he visited,
00:31:44she provided a place for him to stay.
00:31:47Indeed, she had that place built especially for him.
00:31:53And it wasn't just,
00:31:54oh, Elisha, we got a room here you can stay in,
00:31:58you know, with this old bed and a creaky dresser.
00:32:01Rather, it was specially built exactly to meet his needs.
00:32:10Isn't that wonderful?
00:32:12Imagine you go visit a family member and they say,
00:32:15no, you know, don't stay in that guest room.
00:32:17I'm going to build a room just for you
00:32:21that meets all of your needs.
00:32:25She went above and beyond in her generosity.
00:32:32Now, she offered that hospitality not just as a courtesy,
00:32:39but she offered that hospitality insistently and genuinely.
00:32:46Scripture tells us that she pressed,
00:32:52she pressed or she urged Elisha to accept her hospitality.
00:33:01That's important.
00:33:03Because she wanted to show Elisha that her hospitality was not just a social norm,
00:33:09it was not just something that everybody did,
00:33:13but it was something that came from her heart.
00:33:16It was something that was genuine.
00:33:23She accommodated Elisha's hesitancy.
00:33:27There's little pieces of Scripture, you know,
00:33:29they do this for Sunday readings.
00:33:32You know, if you look at the Scripture citation here from 2 Kings,
00:33:39it's 2 Kings 8-11.
00:33:41Skip, skip, skip, skip, skip, 14-16.
00:33:47Well, he didn't want to accept this gift from this woman.
00:33:52But she pressed and she urged him to accept it
00:33:56because it was something that was from her heart.
00:33:59She showed that it was genuine.
00:34:02There was not just a courtesy.
00:34:11She had a sincere desire to provide for Elisha.
00:34:18This woman cheers on and supports those who were doing God's work.
00:34:27Right?
00:34:28She was a cheerleader for Elisha.
00:34:31She knew he was a man of God and was doing God's work.
00:34:37Jesus tells us whoever gives only a cup of cold water
00:34:42to one of these little ones will surely not lose his reward.
00:34:50That comes from this illustration in 2 Kings.
00:34:56This woman provided for Elisha because he was doing God's work.
00:35:02And Jesus promises that those who do care for those who are doing God's work
00:35:09will not lose their reward.
00:35:22This Shunammite woman served Elisha in the midst of her suffering.
00:35:31She was childless.
00:35:34And that was not a good thing in her day and in her age.
00:35:39As Scripture tells us, her husband was getting on in years.
00:35:44Without a son to provide for and care for her,
00:35:48she would be abandoned.
00:35:53She knew this suffering.
00:35:57We all know suffering in different ways.
00:36:02And yet, in the midst of this suffering,
00:36:05in the midst of this woe that she was experiencing in her life,
00:36:10she served.
00:36:13She served others.
00:36:15She did not let her suffering get in the way of her service
00:36:20and of her dedication.
00:36:26She did not turn her generosity off
00:36:30or her other-centeredness off
00:36:33because she suffered.
00:36:37She gave gratitude to God, first and foremost.
00:36:43Now, Elisha, in the Scripture passage we read,
00:36:47promises her a son.
00:36:49She would have a son.
00:36:51One year from now, you'll be fondling a baby's son.
00:36:58Seven years later, that son would die.
00:37:04Elisha promised her that son,
00:37:06and that son died.
00:37:11And in the midst of that woe,
00:37:14she gave thanks to God.
00:37:17She went to Elisha.
00:37:19She fell on her knees and bowed to the ground
00:37:22and gave thanks to God for having that son.
00:37:27Her thanks to God came before all other things.
00:37:35Because of her way of life.
00:37:39And this is so very important for us.
00:37:41Because of the way she lived her faith,
00:37:46she was given a son.
00:37:49Because of the way she lived her faith,
00:37:52when her son died,
00:37:55he was raised up.
00:37:56Now, Elisha restored him to life.
00:38:01Because of her way of life.
00:38:04When a famine was coming,
00:38:06and Elisha knew the famine was coming,
00:38:09he warned her.
00:38:11And he provided a means for her
00:38:13to escape the famine
00:38:16so she could live.
00:38:23Later,
00:38:25when she returns to her home,
00:38:28she finds that it had been occupied by others.
00:38:33So she goes to the king
00:38:35and says,
00:38:37Hey, king,
00:38:38I'd like my house back.
00:38:40It would be lovely.
00:38:42Right?
00:38:43But not only that,
00:38:45before the king,
00:38:49she declares all that God did for her.
00:38:54She gave thanks and praise to God
00:38:57for how he intervened in her life
00:39:01and gave her all of those wonderful gifts.
00:39:07Our way of life,
00:39:09our course in life,
00:39:12should be like this Shunammite woman.
00:39:16Our way and course
00:39:18should be shared generosity,
00:39:23other-centeredness,
00:39:26genuineness,
00:39:28cheering on and supporting those
00:39:30who are doing God's work,
00:39:33serving and being other-centered
00:39:36in the midst of suffering,
00:39:39giving gratitude to God
00:39:41in all circumstances,
00:39:44and declaring all
00:39:46that God has done
00:39:47for us.
00:39:49In the name of the Father,
00:39:50and of the Son,
00:39:51and of the Holy Spirit.
00:39:52Amen.
00:40:04Let us now rise
00:40:06and together profess our faith.
00:40:08I believe in one God,
00:40:11the Father,
00:40:12the Almighty,
00:40:13maker of heaven and earth,
00:40:15of all that is seen and unseen.
00:40:17I believe in one Lord,
00:40:19Lord Jesus Christ,
00:40:21the only Son of God,
00:40:23eternally begotten of the Father,
00:40:25God from God,
00:40:26light from light,
00:40:28true God from true God,
00:40:29begotten, not made,
00:40:31of one being with the Father.
00:40:33Through him all things remain.
00:40:35For us and for our salvation,
00:40:37he came down from heaven
00:40:39by the power of the Holy Spirit.
00:40:42He was born of the Virgin Mary
00:40:44and became man.
00:40:47For our sake,
00:40:48he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
00:40:51He suffered death and was buried.
00:40:53On the third day,
00:40:55he rose again
00:40:56in fulfillment of the Scriptures.
00:40:58He ascended into heaven
00:41:00and is seated at the right hand
00:41:02of the Father.
00:41:03He will come again in glory
00:41:05to judge the living and the dead
00:41:07and his kingdom will have no end.
00:41:09I believe in the Holy Spirit,
00:41:12the Lord and giver of life
00:41:14who proceeds from the Father
00:41:16with the Father and the Son.
00:41:18He has worshiped and glorified.
00:41:20He has spoken through the prophets.
00:41:22I believe in one holy,
00:41:25Catholic and apostolic church.
00:41:27I acknowledge one baptism
00:41:29for the forgiveness of sins.
00:41:30I look for the resurrection of the dead
00:41:33and the life of the world to come.
00:41:35Amen.

01:03:49My dear brothers and sisters,
01:03:51we welcome Brother David with us today.
01:03:55Thank you, David.
01:03:56He has a few words he'd like to share with you.
01:03:58Please be seated.
01:04:04Good morning, Brother and sisters in Christ.
01:04:07Good morning.
01:04:10I'm here to personally invite you
01:04:12to the March 7th review event,
01:04:17which is going to happen July 25th,
01:04:21which is the last Friday,
01:04:22or the last Saturday of the month of July.
01:04:28this is the 21st year
01:04:31for the March in Senate,
01:04:32the consecutive March.
01:04:37And this is my 20th year.
01:04:40So I think I'll give you a few words.
01:04:42How can you roll over to the Senate
01:04:44and get that March?
01:04:46I said, well, the March for Jesus
01:04:48is just like a bag of a page.
01:04:51You just can't do one.
01:04:54So I've done 20.
01:04:55I hope we don't do many more.
01:04:58But I notice there's a few young people
01:05:01and there's a few old people.
01:05:04And the March, I know as I get older,
01:05:08you know, I'm going to take a double pile
01:05:10on a little bit more before I go.
01:05:13So what we have,
01:05:14we have churches have their bands,
01:05:17and with the bands,
01:05:20we can accommodate about 30, 35 people.
01:05:22And there's an open-air trailer
01:05:25that can accommodate like 20 people.
01:05:27So if you let it go to the event
01:05:30and you're really not quite sure
01:05:33about walking that far,
01:05:35a couple of months,
01:05:36you're more than welcome
01:05:37going into your bands
01:05:38for the open-air trailer.
01:05:40You know,
01:05:40you might find me there this year.
01:05:46So, Pastor,
01:05:47thank you very much also.
01:05:48Thank you, Brother David.
01:05:51So, that's it.
01:05:52I've got a couple of handouts here.
01:05:55There's a post,
01:05:56a couple of posts.
01:05:58And also,
01:05:59if you're interested in T-shirts,
01:06:02and it's not mandatory,
01:06:07but we have some
01:06:11papers on the T-shirts.
01:06:12The price is $10 this year.
01:06:16And it's tricolor this year, too.
01:06:18Usually all the other years
01:06:19is two colors this year
01:06:21because,
01:06:22as Father mentioned,
01:06:24it's the 250th anniversary.
01:06:27Okay.
01:06:28So,
01:06:29okay,
01:06:30hope to see you all.
01:06:31Oh, by the way,
01:06:32if you can't get,
01:06:33if you really can't get there
01:06:35that early,
01:06:35it's 1230 in the afternoon
01:06:36to do the march.
01:06:39We're having a little activities
01:06:40after the march.
01:06:41Okay.
01:06:41There's refreshments,
01:06:42there's hot dogs,
01:06:43there's ice cream.
01:06:45Thanks to stewards and so on.
01:06:46And,
01:06:47if you want to look forward,
01:06:49you know,
01:06:49for us around that part.
01:06:513.34 o'clock.
01:06:53Okay.
01:06:55Thank you, Brother David.
01:06:57And for those who don't know,
01:07:00as you may recall,
01:07:01this window had been broken
01:07:03several years ago.
01:07:05And we had replaced
01:07:07one of the glass panels
01:07:08in this window,
01:07:09which didn't match.
01:07:12And Brother David
01:07:13is a stained glass specialist.
01:07:16So he accommodated us
01:07:18and got the right color
01:07:20and the right texture.
01:07:21And he took care of us
01:07:23very generously.
01:07:24And we thank you,
01:07:25Brother David,
01:07:25for that work.
01:07:27Well,
01:07:28if I could just say
01:07:28one little thing here,
01:07:30I'll go to the front
01:07:32for myself.
01:07:32If you go to the
01:07:33Scotia Library,
01:07:35you go in there
01:07:36and get the checkup counter.
01:07:37Right above that
01:07:38is a window that I make
01:07:40for the library.
01:07:42Nice.
01:07:43Beautiful.
01:07:44Thank you, David.
01:07:45Okay, thank you.
01:07:46No way.
01:07:53Please rise.
