00:01:00This is the sixth Sunday of Easter.
00:01:02At this time, the Easter season I have come counting.
00:01:07Let's begin with our Easter lauds.
00:01:10Found on page B6 of your White Views prayer books.
00:01:14Page B6.
00:01:18Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
00:01:21Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

00:01:30Praise Him for His mighty deeds.
00:01:32Praise Him according to His exceeding greatness.
00:01:35Praise Him with trumpet sound.
00:01:37Praise Him with lute and harp.
00:01:40Praise Him with timbre and dance.
00:01:42Praise Him with skins and white.
00:01:44Praise Him with sounding cymbals.
00:01:47Praise Him with a lot of flashing cymbals.
00:01:49Let everything that we read praise the Lord.
00:01:52Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
00:01:56As it was in the beginning, it is now, and it shall be, the world without end. Amen.
00:02:01Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
00:02:04Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
00:02:07Let us please rise for the benedictives.
00:02:10In very early morning after the Sabbath, they came to the sepulcher at sunrise.
00:02:15Alleluia.
00:02:17Blessed be the Lord, our God of Israel, for He has admittedly to His people, and has raised
00:02:23up a form of salvation for us in the house of the servant of David, as He spoke by the
00:02:29God of His holy prophets from old, that we should be saved for our enemies, and for
00:02:35the hand of all the chaos, to perform the works of the Christ to our fathers, and to remember
00:02:40His holy covenant, the oath which He swore to our father Abraham, to grant us that He
00:02:46delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, and holiness, and
00:02:52righteousness before Him all the days of our life.
00:02:56And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High.
00:02:59We will go before the Lord to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His
00:03:05people, and the forgiveness of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God, when
00:03:11the day shall come upon us from on high, to give light to those who sit in darkness and
00:03:16in the shadow of the dark, to guide our people to the way of peace.
00:03:20Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:03:25and as now, and never shall be, world without any.
00:03:29And very early in the morning, after the Sabbath, they came to the sepulch for at sunrise.
00:03:34Alleluia.
00:03:35Kyrie eleison.

00:03:51their health, for their healing, or for any special need.
00:03:54That God, who is the Father of mercy, through His Son, Jesus, may grant them all that is
00:03:59needful to them.

00:05:41Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass
00:05:48against us.
00:05:49And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
00:05:54Amen.
00:05:55Let us pray.
00:05:56O God, who does gladden us by the years of the feast day of our Lord's resurrection,
00:06:01dare to grant that we, who celebrate these solemnities in time, may reach heavenly joys in eternity.
00:06:08We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, our Son, who liveth and reigneth with thee in the
00:06:14unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, forever and ever.
00:06:20Good morning, everyone.
00:06:23Quite a few announcements.
00:06:24First of all, first and foremost, above all things, Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, godmothers,
00:06:30grandmothers, aunts, all the women in our lives who are so very special and so very important
00:06:37in the work of the Holy Church.
00:06:40Please keep inviting people to join us in meeting the Lord, to join in worship and fellowship.
00:06:46As I'll mention in the homily, the Easter season is 50 days, but there's only 14 left.
00:06:53So it's flying by pretty fast.
00:06:56But let us continue in our celebration of our Lord's resurrection and the joy of that great
00:07:03day in our salvation history.
00:07:06We have those new welcome and introduction cards, as well as new brochures.
00:07:11Please take some.
00:07:12Please hand them out.
00:07:13Give them away.
00:07:14They don't do much of it sitting on the back table of the church, and we have a lot of
00:07:20them.
00:07:20So don't be shy.
00:07:22We also have, which is very nice, files for our veterans.
00:07:30If you know a veteran, or you're a veteran yourself, we have these Bibles, which are specifically
00:07:37for you.
00:07:39If you do know a veteran in your life that would like a Bible, we have plenty.
00:07:46So these are available, and they're really lovely.
00:07:52Of course, it's the Word of God.
00:07:54It's lovely.
00:07:54They're nice.
00:07:55They're nicely bowed.
00:07:56It's a good addition.
00:07:59That's what else.
00:08:02Mother's Day in the month of Mary.
00:08:04Of course, we celebrate Mother's Day today in our intentions for the Holy Mass.
00:08:08And we seek our Blessed Mother's intercession.
00:08:12The young women of the church will be crowning the statue of the Blessed Virgin in a few moments.
00:08:18So we look forward to that and thank them for being here and for their service today.
00:08:25Memorial Day is only a couple weeks away.
00:08:28We'll have our annual Holy Mass at Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery at 10 a.m.
00:08:34on Memorial Day, which is the 24th or 25th?
00:08:4025th.
00:08:4125th?
00:08:4225th.
00:08:43Okay, good.
00:08:44I misprinted it here.
00:08:46So we'll do that Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery.
00:08:49If it's a rainy day, which it never has, I think once in 15 years it's rained.
00:08:57But if it's nice up, we'll do it there.
00:08:59If it's raining, we'll do it here.
00:09:01If you are coming out to the cemetery for that, please bring a chair and an umbrella or some sort
00:09:06of head covering
00:09:07because it gets bright and sunny out there and we don't want anybody getting sunburned.
00:09:15Let's see.
00:09:15Men's retreat.
00:09:16There's information on the back table for that.
00:09:19Please, please, please, please, men, strongly consider attending.
00:09:23This is an important event in the life of the church.
00:09:26And not only that, our prayers are specifically needed as this is a synod here and the prayers of the
00:09:34men of the church coming together before the Blessed Sacrament are mighty powerful for God's blessing.
00:09:41Courtes and convo for our youth are also coming up.
00:09:45If you'd like to attend, please see me and we will get that arranged.
00:09:49Remember, the parish covers the cost of all these things as well as the diocese will be covering the cost
00:09:56for youth of the diocese.
00:09:57A week ahead, food pantry and parish committee tomorrow.
00:10:02On Wednesday, May Marian devotions.
00:10:05On Thursday is the Solemnity of the Ascension of our Lord.
00:10:10So Holy Mass at noon on Thursday.
00:10:13Please attend if you are able.
00:10:16And then next Sunday, seventh Sunday at Easter, we'll have our regular Holy Mass schedule.
00:10:24I'm sure there's more, I'll remember it eventually, but with that, we'll now begin with our, with what, with our
00:10:35crowning of the Blessed Virgin.
00:10:46Two young women can join me in the Baptist Church.
00:10:59Two young women can join me in the Baptist Church.
00:11:22So I'm going to do a little prayer at the beginning, and then we'll do that and I'll help you.
00:11:26Okay?
00:11:26So you guys can take that.
00:11:28Maybe one person on one side.
00:11:33And we'll go back.
00:11:34All right.
00:11:58Let's begin with our hymn.
00:12:00Let's begin with our hymn.
00:12:11All right.
00:12:13Let's begin with your hymn.
00:12:20All right.
00:12:22Let's begin with your hymn.
00:12:27Trowash, Trowash, Trowash Maria, Trowash, Trowash, Trowash Maria.
00:12:41In heaven, the blessing, your glory proclaim. I'm earthly, your children, in hope, your turning.
00:12:57Trowash, Trowash, Trowash Maria, Trowash, Trowash, Trowash Maria.
00:13:12We pray you, O Mother, may God's will be done.
00:13:19We pray for His glory, may His kingdom come.
00:13:28Trowash, Trowash, Trowash Maria.
00:13:35Trowash, Trowash, Trowash Maria.
00:13:40We pray for Christ's body, the church of the earth, and bless Holy Mary, the land of our world.
00:13:59Trowash, Trowash, Trowash Maria.
00:14:06Trowash, Trowash, Trowash Maria.
00:14:12In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:14:17Come, let us worship Christ, the Son of Mary.
00:14:20Let us sing to the Lord as we keep this day in the name of the Father, and of the
00:14:26Father, and of the Father, and of the Son of Mary.
00:15:10When the designated time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
00:15:17to deliver from the law, those who were subjected to it, so that we might receive our status as adopted
00:15:24children.
00:15:25After the birth of your Son, you remain the virgin.
00:15:28After the birth of your Son, you remain the virgin.
00:15:32Mother of God, intercede for us.
00:15:34You remain the virgin.
00:15:36Lord, be the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
00:15:39As it was in the beginning, as now ever shall be, world without end, I believe it.
00:15:44And the birth of your Son, you became the virgin.
00:15:47A great sign appeared in the sky.
00:15:50A woman clothed with the sun, put the moon under her feet, and I have had a crown of twelve
00:15:56stars.
00:15:57Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
00:16:00Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
00:16:04Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
00:16:07The Lord is with you.
00:16:08Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:16:13as now ever shall be, world without end.
00:16:16Amen.
00:16:17And now, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
00:16:20Let us glorify our Savior, who chose the Virgin Mary for his mother.
00:16:25Let us ask him.
00:16:27May the Lord be to see for us.
00:16:29Son of justice, the Immaculate Virgin, with the white dawn announcing your rising.
00:16:34Pray that we may always fit in the light of your confidence.
00:16:39Eternal Word, you chose Mary as the uncorrupted ark of your dwelling place.
00:16:45Free us from our righteousness.
00:16:47Savior of humankind, your mother stood at the foot of your cross.
00:16:52Pray that through her intercession, have made me rejoice to share in your passion.
00:16:58Eternal Word, you taught your mother to choose the better part.
00:17:02Pray that through her intercession, have made me see the fruit that brings the light of your blessing.
00:17:08Lord of heaven and earth, you crowned Mary, and set her at your right hand as queen.
00:17:14In this world, you share his glory.
00:17:17The Lord be with you.
00:17:18And also with you.
00:17:20Let us pray.
00:17:26God with mercy, listen to the prayers of your servants who have honored your hand-made Mary as mother and
00:17:34queen.
00:17:34Grant that by your grace, we may serve you and our neighbor on earth and be welcomed into eternal kingdom.
00:17:42We ask this through Christ our Lord.
00:17:44Amen.
00:17:45Hail Mary, full of grace.
00:17:47The Lord is with me.
00:17:49Blessed are the commonest women.
00:17:51And blessed is the fruit of the garden of Jesus.
00:17:53Holy Mary, full of God.

00:19:29Show us your mercy, Lord. Alleluia.
00:19:32And grant us your salvation. Alleluia.
00:19:35Lord, hear our prayer.
00:19:37And let our prayer come to you.
00:19:39The Lord be with you.
00:19:40And also with you.
00:19:42Let us pray.
00:19:43Father, we call upon you to abide when your people are assembled here.
00:19:48Cleanse us of our sins.
00:19:50And make us aware of the promise of your Son,
00:19:52that where two or three are gathered together in his name, he is with them.
00:19:57Through this Holy Eucharist we celebrate.
00:19:59Make us worthy to sit at his table in the kingdom of heaven.
00:20:03We ask this for the same Jesus Christ our Lord.

00:26:53Ye who are the cross, the victim, for the world's salvation plan.
00:27:02Jesus Christ, the King of glory, now is risen from the dead.
00:27:11Christ is risen, we are risen, shed upon us heavenly grace.
00:27:19Rain and dew and gleams of glory, from the brightness of the haste.
00:27:28That with hearts in heaven and valley, we on earth make fruit flow be.
00:27:37And by angels hands we gather, and we ever glory be.
00:27:48The Lord be with you.
00:27:51And also with you.
00:27:55Let us pray.
00:27:58Almighty Father, your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your authority endures throughout all generations.
00:28:07May we who have experienced the resurrected Jesus, speak of the glory of your reign, tell of your power, and
00:28:17make your mighty deeds known to all.
00:28:20We ask this through the same Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the Holy Spirit, one God,
00:28:28forever and ever.
00:28:33Amen.
00:28:35Let's now be seated in attendance before his word.
00:28:41Amen.
00:28:42Amen.
00:28:47Amen.
00:28:49Amen.
00:28:51Amen.
00:28:51Amen.
00:28:52Amen.
00:28:57Our first reading is a reading from the Acts of the Apostles.
00:29:03Philip went down to the city of Samaria
00:29:06and proclaimed the Christ to them.
00:29:08With one accord, the crowds gave their attention
00:29:11to what was said by Philip
00:29:13when they heard it and saw the signs he was doing.
00:29:19For unclean spirits, crying out in a loud voice,
00:29:23came out of many possessed people,
00:29:25and many paralyzed or crippled people were cured.
00:29:28There was great joy in that city.
00:29:31Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard
00:29:33that Samaria had accepted the word of God,
00:29:36they sent them Peter and John,
00:29:38who went down and prayed for them,
00:29:40that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
00:29:42for it had not yet fallen upon any of them.
00:29:45They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus,
00:29:49that they laid hands on them,
00:29:51and they received the Holy Spirit.
00:29:53The word of the Lord.
00:29:54Thanks be to God.
00:29:56Our response to our song,
00:29:58Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
00:30:02Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
00:30:07Shout joyfully to God, all the earth.
00:30:10Sing praise to the glory of his name.
00:30:12Proclaim his glorious praise.
00:30:15Say to God, how tremendous are your deeds.
00:30:18Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
00:30:22Let all on earth worship and sing praise to you.
00:30:26Sing praise to your name.
00:30:28Come and see the works of God,
00:30:30his tremendous deeds among the children of Adam.
00:30:34Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
00:30:38He has changed the sea into dry land.
00:30:41Through the river they passed on foot.
00:30:44Therefore, let us rejoice in him.
00:30:46He rules by his might forever.
00:30:49Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
00:30:54Hear now, all you who fear God,
00:30:57while I declare what he has done for me.
00:31:00Blessed be God, who refused me not
00:31:02by prayer or his kindness.
00:31:05Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.
00:31:10A second reading is a reading
00:31:13from the first letter of St. Peter.
00:31:16He loved it.
00:31:18Sanctify Christ as your Lord in your hearts.
00:31:23Always be ready to give an explanation
00:31:25to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope.
00:31:29But do it with gentleness and reverence,
00:31:32keeping your conscience clear,
00:31:34so that when you are maligned,
00:31:36those who defame your good conduct in Christ
00:31:40may themselves be put to shame.
00:31:42For it is better to suffer for doing good,
00:31:45if that be the will of God,
00:31:48than for doing evil.
00:31:49For Christ also suffered for sins once,
00:31:53the righteous for the sake of the unrighteous,
00:31:56that he might lead you to die.
00:31:58Put to death in the flesh,
00:32:00he was brought to life in the spirit.
00:32:02A prayer to the Lord.
00:32:04Thanks be to God.
00:32:21Please rise.
00:32:44Lest are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
00:32:48for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
00:32:54Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
00:33:13The Lord be with you.
00:33:15And also with you.
00:33:17We're reading the Holy Gospel according to St. John.
00:33:20Glory to you, O Lord.
00:33:23Jesus said to his disciples,
00:33:26If you love me, you will keep my commandments,
00:33:29and I will ask the Father,
00:33:31and he will give you another advocate,
00:33:34to be with you always,
00:33:37the Spirit of truth,
00:33:38whom the world cannot accept,
00:33:40because it neither sees nor knows him.
00:33:43But you know him,
00:33:45because he remains with you,
00:33:47and will be in you.
00:33:49I will not leave you orphans.
00:33:51I will come to you.
00:33:53In a little while the world will no longer see me,
00:33:56but you will see me,
00:33:58because I live,
00:33:59and you will live.
00:34:01On that day you will realize that I am my Father,
00:34:05and you are in me,
00:34:06and I am you.
00:34:08Whoever has my commandments and observes them
00:34:11is the one who loves me,
00:34:13and whoever loves me will be loved by my Father,
00:34:17and I will love him and reveal myself to him.
00:34:20This is the Gospel of the Lord.
00:34:24Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
00:34:27Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ.
00:34:57With this earthly revelation, may your spirit will be heard.
00:35:06May we fold in the great hand, by and by your cross and hand.
00:35:15May we love the words of promise, we confirm and praise your goodness.
00:35:40And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you always,
00:35:47the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows Him,
00:35:54but you know Him, because He remains with you, and will be in you.
00:36:01In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
00:36:04Amen.
00:36:05As I mentioned, 14 days left of the Easter season.
00:36:08So let's get this.
00:36:09Christ is risen.
00:36:11Christ is risen.
00:36:14Alleluia.
00:36:15All right, one more time.
00:36:17Christ is risen.
00:36:19Alleluia.
00:36:20Christ is risen.
00:36:22Alleluia.
00:36:22Excellent.
00:36:24That was really good.
00:36:26Next week, we're going to nail it completely.
00:36:30We begin today with a particular focus on the coming of the Holy Spirit.
00:36:37The Easter season, our 50-day celebration of Christ's resurrection, has only two full weeks
00:36:45left in it.
00:36:47That is only 14 days out of 50 days.
00:36:53And this week, we celebrate the Lord's Ascension as His proper on the 40th day on Thursday.
00:37:02We spent the first three weeks of the Easter season really focused on those appearances of
00:37:09Jesus after His resurrection.
00:37:11Remember, we found Him on the road to Emmaus in the upper room with the apostles, on the
00:37:18seaside with Peter and the apostles as they were fishing.
00:37:23Jesus making a pretty good fish fry.
00:37:28Then we celebrated Jesus, who is the good shepherd, on the fourth week.
00:37:33Jesus, who remains with us, as He told us, guiding us and protecting us.
00:37:41Then we arrived at this time, this time which can be a bit confusing.
00:37:50A little bit confusing.
00:37:54Rather than focusing on the stuff that happened immediately after the resurrection, all those
00:37:59appearances of Jesus, all that stuff that went on, the excitement of the apostles and
00:38:04the disciples and the women, we jump back.
00:38:11We go back to the Last Supper.
00:38:15We go back to this time during the Last Supper where Jesus is instructing and praying for
00:38:23His followers, as recorded in John's Gospel narrative.
00:38:30It's called the Last Supper narrative.
00:38:36We read that last week.
00:38:39We read it this week, and we'll read more from it next week.
00:38:44And we might ask ourselves, wait a minute, why are we back there?
00:38:50Why are we back at the Last Supper?
00:38:53We ask that because we have a good reason for asking that.
00:38:57As human beings, we live pretty much in the present.
00:39:03Today is what it is, right?
00:39:05I mean, we may look back on days past with maybe some nostalgia, maybe some fond memories,
00:39:14and maybe a few regrets here and there.
00:39:19And we know we cannot predict tomorrow.
00:39:24So what we have is today.
00:39:28That's important.
00:39:30That's important because what we do today really matters.
00:39:34It's important.
00:39:36It counts.
00:39:38Our view as mere human beings is limited to the present.
00:39:44It's what we have.
00:39:45Pretty much all there is.
00:39:48You might think what we're going to do in five minutes, but beyond that, it's a little bit less sure.
00:39:56But there is an alternative.
00:39:58There is an alternative.
00:40:00We do not have to remain in that human condition where all we see is the here and now.
00:40:08We can stop viewing things from a merely human point of view, and we can begin, and we are able
00:40:17to view them from a kingdom point of view.
00:40:22That gives us a long view.
00:40:24That gives us an eternal view.
00:40:28All things past, all things present, and all things to come is part of the kingdom view.
00:40:38What Jesus is telling us in this Last Supper discourse, and what we are focusing on in these weeks at
00:40:46the end of the Easter season, is the plan.
00:40:50It's his plan.
00:40:52He's like, you know, nowadays you have some person at a meeting getting out charts and PowerPoints and all kinds
00:40:58of stuff and saying, well, this is the plan.
00:41:01This is what we're going to do.
00:41:03That's what Jesus was doing.
00:41:05That was what he was doing for us.
00:41:09He laid out the kingdom plan in this Last Supper discourse.
00:41:15He told us what the kingdom would look like.
00:41:18He told us what was going to happen in the kingdom of God.
00:41:24His death and his resurrection ushered that kingdom in.
00:41:28That was the start.
00:41:30That was the beginning.
00:41:32In 14 days, we will celebrate Pentecost.
00:41:38We celebrate our acceptance of the gift Jesus promised,
00:41:43the advocate that we know.
00:41:46The advocate who is in us and who remains with us.
00:41:53He gives us the power and the ability to not just see today,
00:41:58but to have that kingdom view.
00:42:01To see the entirety of the plan that Jesus laid out.
00:42:06And to use our skills and abilities to live up to it.
00:42:09To live up to Jesus' kingdom plan.
00:42:15And to bring it about.
00:42:17We have that power because of the Holy Spirit.
00:42:21We can make things happen.
00:42:24We can make things happen.
00:42:27For God's kingdom.
00:42:30Let us do that today.
00:42:33In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
00:42:36Amen.
00:42:37Amen.
00:42:50Let us now rise and together profess our faith.
00:42:53I believe in one God, the Father, and the Almighty,
00:42:58and the earth, and the earth, of all that has seen and have seen.
00:43:02I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
00:43:07eternally God with the Father.
00:43:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God.
00:43:13He had now made a one being with the Father.
00:43:16For doing all things are made.
00:43:18For us and for our salvation, he came now to heaven.
00:43:22By the power of the Holy Spirit, he was born and the virgin Mary.
00:43:27And we came in.
00:43:30For our Christ's sake, he was crucified and unconsciously.
00:43:34He suffered death and was buried.
00:43:36On the third day, he rose again into the filling of the scriptures.
00:43:41He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
00:43:45He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.
00:43:49And his kingdom will have no end.
00:43:51I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
00:43:55who proceeds from the Father.
00:43:57With the Father and his Son, he is worshiped and glorified.
00:44:00He has spoken through the prophets.
00:44:02And I believe in one holy Catholic Catholic Church.
00:44:06I acknowledge my baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
00:44:10I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
00:44:14Amen.
00:44:15The Lord be with you.
00:44:17And also with you.
00:44:18Let us pray.
00:44:20We're grateful, O God, for all the ways your presence is made known to us in great and
00:44:26small ways, whereby we are reminded of your steadfast love for us and for all people.
00:44:33Hear these, our prayers, offered in confidence this day.
00:44:38Our response will be, Lord, hear our prayer.
00:44:40We praise you, O God, for all mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, aunts, and for all women who embody
00:44:47your steadfast and relentless love, both gentle and fierce, strong and humble, kind and true.
00:44:54Protect, watch over, and guide them.
00:44:56We pray to the Lord.
00:44:58Lord, hear our prayer.
00:45:00For mothers who work day and night to raise and care for their children, protect, watch
00:45:06over, support, and guide them.
00:45:08We pray to the Lord.
00:45:10Lord, hear our prayer.
00:45:12For all mothers who labor at their work alone, grant that we, your church, remember, support,
00:45:18and uphold them throughout our one life as your family.
00:45:22We pray to the Lord.
00:45:24Lord, hear our prayer.
00:45:26For all the women who minister within our holy church in so many ways, bless and sustain
00:45:32them in their work.
00:45:33We pray to the Lord.
00:45:35Lord, hear our prayer.
00:45:37For mothers who have lost a child to death and must carry on.
00:45:45We ask for your mercy upon them, as well as renewal of their confidence in the power of
00:45:50your resurrection.
00:45:51We pray to the Lord.
00:45:53Lord, hear our prayer.
00:45:54That we sustain all mothers in their time of need, and answer your call to reach out
00:46:00to them in compassion and love.
00:46:02We pray to the Lord.
00:46:04Lord, hear our prayer.
00:46:05For women who are new mothers, especially for our sister Alyssa, and those who are expecting
00:46:11children but are not quite mothers yet.
00:46:14We praise you, O God, for the joy and anticipation of new life.
00:46:19Grant that we never forget our duty to uphold these growing families.
00:46:22That in our shared life together, we may all hear the call to be your disciples in this
00:46:28world.
00:46:29We pray to the Lord.
00:46:31Lord, hear our prayer.
00:46:32For your blessing upon all the women who longed for, but never had children of their own.
00:46:38These women have been living examples of your love and grace.
00:46:41As they have answered the call to nurture and care for others, we pray to the Lord.
00:46:47Lord, hear our prayer.
00:46:49We also pray, O God, for the mothers who have failed to live up to the call of motherhood.
00:46:56We believe you are a God of healing.
00:46:58And remember that we all stand in need of your grace.
00:47:02When we cannot forgive, Lord, give us strength.
00:47:05We pray to the Lord.
00:47:07Lord, hear our prayer.
00:47:08We stand in solidarity this day, O God, with mothers around the world who have watched
00:47:14their children die of hunger, every mother who has been a victim of abuse, every woman
00:47:19who stands against the world that massacres her children in the name of war and dares to
00:47:25name them collateral damage.
00:47:27We pray to the Lord.
00:47:29Lord, hear our prayer.
00:47:30We lift to your love and care the spirits of all mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, aunts,
00:47:35and all women who have died for whom and whom we miss dearly, especially today and in particular

00:55:32hands, and looking up to heaven, to you, his almighty Father, he gave you thanks.
00:55:39He blessed the bread, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
00:55:45Take this, all of you, and eat it, for this is my body, which is given for you.
00:56:03When supper had ended, he took the cup. In the same way, he gave you thanks, blessed it, and gave
00:56:10it to his disciples, saying,
00:56:12Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the cup of my blood, the blood of
00:56:19the new and everlasting covenant,
00:56:21which shall be shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. As often as you do this,
00:56:27do it in remembrance of me.
00:56:33Amen.
00:56:41Our Father, in celebration of the mountain of Jesus Christ, your Son, we, your people, recall us a passion, resurrection
00:56:47from the dead, and ascension into glory.
00:56:50From the many gifts you have given us, we offer this pure, holy, and spotless offering, the Holy Bread of
00:56:56Life, and the Holy Cup of eternal salvation.
00:56:59Look favorably on these offerings, and accept them as you once accepted, the gifts of your servant Abel, the sacrifice
00:57:05of our Father, in faith, Abraham,
00:57:07and the bread of wine offered by your priest, Melchizedek.
00:57:11In humility, we ask, Father, that these offerings be carried by your angel to your high altar in heaven,
00:57:17so that we need to receive the sacred body, and one of your sons through this altar may be filled
00:57:22with your grace and blessing.
00:57:25Remember, Lord, our brothers and sisters who have died, and have gone before us, marked with the sign of faith,
00:57:31especially for all of our departed mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, aunts, and those other special women in our lives,
00:57:39the women who ministered in this parish, as well as in this special way for Josephine, Elizabeth, and Maria.
00:57:49May these and all who rest in Christ find happiness, life, and peace.
00:57:54And we who trust in your love also ask me to include the fellowship of your holy apostles, martyrs, and
00:57:59saints,
00:57:59who offered their lives to you.
00:58:01They were filled with your justice and mercy, because they lived in the court of the teachings of Jesus,
00:58:06and gain eternal joy.
00:58:08Count us among them, Father, not because of what we truly deserve, but because you are willing to forgive us.
00:58:14We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, by whom you give us all these gifts.
00:58:20You fill them with life and goodness.
00:58:22You bless them and make them holy.
00:58:28Ruin within and in Him, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
00:58:34All honor and glory are yours, almighty Father, for ever and ever.
00:58:41Amen.
00:58:49Let us now pray with confidence to the Father, in the words our Savior gave of.
00:58:55Our Father, who art in heaven,
00:59:03hallowed be thy name,
00:59:07thy kingdom come,
00:59:11thy will be done,
00:59:15honor as it is in heaven,
00:59:21give us this day,
00:59:25our daily bread,
00:59:29and forgive us our trespasses,
00:59:35as we forgive those who trespass against us,
00:59:42and lead us not into temptation.
00:59:48Lord, deliver us from evil.
00:59:55Deliver us, Lord, from our evil,
00:59:57and grant us peace in our dead.
00:59:59In your mercy, keep us free from sin,
01:00:02and protect us from all anxiety,
01:00:06as we wait in joyful hope
01:00:08for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
01:00:23The cup of blessing, which we bless,
01:00:26is it not a participation in the blood of Christ?
01:00:29The bread, which we break,
01:00:33is it not a participation in the body of Christ?
01:00:36Because there is one bread,
01:00:39we who are many are one body,
01:00:41for we all are faithful in one bread.
01:00:44The union of divinity and humanity in Jesus Christ,
01:00:47bring us sanctification and eternal life.

01:00:59but on the faith of your church,
01:01:01I grant us peace in unity of your kingdom,
01:01:04where you live forever and ever.
