Outstanding Issues Unaddressed: My Call To Christ Health CEO Robert Record. The Christ Health Center (Birmingham, Alabama). I was referred here by Saint Vincent's East Hospital (Ascension) after an X-Ray I had done was said to be "normal". Doctors Terry Daniel Smith ("T. Daniel Smith") did the encounter with me in May, 2019. Attempts to obtain a referral for an MRI to reveal the injury (I needed one that day, immediately) were not facilitated and he wanted to go a different route with the treatment. I feel I was not treated as a human being, my opinions were ignored, he levied an ultimatum, and so I walked out. I was charged for medical procedures not performed on me (see records and bills). Later I was able to secure an MRI on my own and was told by Nurse Anna Musgraves from a subsequent visit at Christ Health to call their office for the promised referral. American Health Imaging did this a few days later after I paid them $500 cash and they were put on hold for 15 minutes before Christ Health hung up the phone on their end. Would not give me a referral! Dr. Beverly A. Vonder Pool, MD whom I did not interact with signed off on Smith's records. These 3 had an exchange not recorded and conferred with Saint Vincent's East Hospital, Birmingham. I later found evidence to support evidence I was patient dumped by these ER doctors (an EMTALA violation). Anna Musgraves and Terry Daniel Smith mention language that they may have believed my injury was psyche etiology in nature (because Saint Vincent's radiologists misdiagnosed me other doctors would not second guess the original findings). There may have been efforts cover up the truth my injury because of my ability to pay or produce insurance. I was charged $107 for the nurses visit and $109 for the MD visit.

In Christ Health Center I observed other patients with no income or insurance who had been referred from ER visits. I also noted this facility was being used to train recently graduated fresh medical talent from local schools and universities. I believe Beverly Vonder Pool MD was possibly used as a "fixer" and talent cultivator in her Christ Health Center post.

I believe I may have been "patient dumped" (a violation of EMTALA) in the course of my seeking treatment for my injury by Saint Vincent's Hospital doctors, Birmingham, Alabama (Ascension) and misdiagnoses were used to circumvent this law. This pronouncement made it virtually impossible to get an accurate diagnosis elsewhere. I was also disabled and could not claim disability. My psychological state was routinely challenged because I claimed the doctors had missed the main injury. My concerns were unfairly dismissed and ignored.

00:25Yes, ma'am. I'm trying to reach Christ Health CEO Robert Records.
00:31I was a patient at Christ Health Center in 2019.
00:36I was referred by Ascension St. Vincent's East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
00:42I believe they had misdiagnosed several CT and MRI that I had done.
00:48I had several negative issues with my Christ Health visit.
00:54And I would like to speak to the CEO about what happened to me.
00:57I was charged around the same amount of money, close to $100, to see a nurse as a doctor at
01:04Christ Health Center.
01:05I saw Dr. Terry Daniel Smith, MD, at the Old Springle Road location.
01:13The doctor refused to give me a referral for an MRI.
01:17Broken bones showed up in the CT that I had done at Ascension.
01:21I was billed for services not provided, hemoglobin blood tests, an electrocardiogram that I didn't receive.
01:31Nurse Anna Musgraves at the Woodlawn location wrote in her reports she suspected that I had a psych etiology.
01:41Actually, I had a very serious physical issue that I almost died from.
01:45I had broken the underside of my skull.
01:48The nurse, Anna Musgraves, agreed to give me a referral when I secured the MRI.
01:53I was given three avenues to pursue financial assistance.
01:58All three of these I looked into and they led to dead ends.
02:03I did not qualify for these.
02:05When I found an MRI facility to do my scan for $500 cash, the nurse, Anna Musgraves, she told me
02:13to call her for a referral.
02:15I went to American Health Imaging and had the MRI ready to go.
02:19They just needed the referral.
02:20Called the Woodlawn location to try to get in touch with the nurse who agreed to give me a referral.
02:25And I was put on hold for 15 minutes before the Christ Health Center in Woodlawn hung up the phone.
02:32I did not get that referral.
02:34But I did get my MRI.
02:35They allowed me to do it without a referral.
02:38What showed up in that MRI was a very serious injury.
02:42I almost died from it.
02:43I broke the underside of my skull.
02:44I believe that Christ Health Center did not support me as a patient to get to the truth of my
02:50injury and backed up their business partners, Ascension, and the misdiagnosis.
02:56I'm trying to reach C.L. Robert Records to bring my issue to attention to your medical facility.
03:05You can call me at that phone number.
