00:17When a wicked person turns from the wickedness he has committed, and does what is just and right, he will
00:26preserve his life.
00:30For I am aware of my rebellious acts, I am forever conscious of my sin.
00:39Hide your face from my sins, wipe away all my guilt.
00:47The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit, O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.
01:01Dearly beloved brothers and sisters, the scripture moves us in sundry places to acknowledge and confess our many sins and
01:10wickedness.
01:12We should not justify nor hide them before the face of Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, but confess them with
01:20a humble, lowly, penitent and obedient heart.
01:24To the end that we may obtain forgiveness of the same, by his infinite goodness and mercy.
01:35Although we ought always to humbly acknowledge our sins before God, we should do this particularly when we assemble and
01:43meet together,
01:44to give thanks for the great benefits we have received at his hands.
01:48To give him most worthy praise, to hear his most holy word, and to ask those things which are truly
01:57necessary as well for the body as the soul.
02:02Therefore I pray and ask you, who are present here today, to accompany me with a pure heart and humble
02:09voice to the throne of the heavenly grace, as we say together.
02:16Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep.
02:23We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
02:29We have offended against your holy laws.
02:32We have failed to do those things which we ought to have done, and we have done things which we
02:39ought not to have done.
02:44But you, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable sinners.
02:49Spare those, O God, who confess their faults.
02:53Restore those who are truly penitent, according to your promises declared to mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord.
03:03Grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to
03:12the glory of your holy name. Amen.
03:18Grant, we beseech you, merciful Lord, to your faithful people, pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed from all
03:26their sins, and serve you with a quiet mind, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
03:38Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be your name.
03:43Your kingdom come, your will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.
03:50Give us this day our daily bread.
03:53Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:59Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
04:05For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever.
04:10Amen.
04:15O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing out your praise.
04:23O God, make speed to save us.
04:27O Lord, make haste to help us.
04:33Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
04:39As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

05:17He remains loyal and faithful to the family of Israel.
05:21All the ends of the earth, see our God deliver us.
05:26Shout out praises to the Lord, all the earth.
05:29Break out in a joyful shout and sing.
05:33Sing to the Lord, accompanied by a harp, accompanied by a harp and the sound of music.
05:39With trumpets and the blaring of the ram's horn, shout out praises before the King, the Lord.
05:46Let the sea and everything in it shout, along with the world and all who live in it.
05:54Let the rivers clap their hands.
05:56Let the mountains sing in unison before the Lord.
06:00For He comes to judge the earth.
06:02He judges the world fairly and the nations in a just manner.
06:08Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
06:12As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.

06:29He sits enthroned above the cherubim, the earth shakes.
06:33The Lord is elevated in Zion, He is exalted over all the nations.
06:40Let them praise your great and awesome name.
06:43He is holy.
06:44The King is strong, He loves justice.
06:47You ensure that legal decisions will be made fairly.
06:52You promote justice and equity in Jacob.
07:23Praise the Lord our God.
07:29Praise the Lord our God.
07:32Worship upon His holy hill.
07:34For the Lord our God is holy.

08:14We are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
08:18Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
08:23Give Him thanks.
08:24Praise His name.
08:26For the Lord is good.

08:48Psalm 101
08:52I will sing about loyalty and justice.
08:55To You, O Lord, I will sing praises.
08:58I will walk in the way of integrity.
09:01When will You come to me?
09:04I will conduct my business with integrity in the midst of my palace.
09:09I will not even consider doing what is dishonest.
09:12I hate doing evil.
09:14I will have no part of it.
09:16I will have nothing to do with a perverse person.
09:20I will not permit evil.
09:23I will destroy anyone who slanders his neighbor in secret.
09:27I will not tolerate anyone who has a haughty demeanor and an arrogant attitude.
09:34I will favor the honest people of the land and allow them to live with me.
09:39Those who walk in the way of integrity will attend me.
09:45Deceitful people will not live in my palace.
09:49Liars will not be welcome in my presence.
09:53Each morning I will destroy all the wicked people in the land and remove all evildoers from the city of
10:00the Lord.
10:02Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
10:06as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
10:12Amen.
10:22A reading from the book of Ezra, chapter 8.
10:28These are the leaders and those enrolled with them by genealogy who were coming up with me from Babylon during
10:36the reign of King Artaxerxes.
10:40From the descendants of Phineas, Gershon.
10:44From the descendants of Ithema, Daniel.
10:48From the descendants of David, Hattush, the son of Shekhaniah.
10:53From the descendants of Parash, Zechariah, and with him were enrolled by genealogy 150 men.
11:02From the descendants of Pahath-Moab, Elinai, son of Zehariah.
11:08And with him 200 men.
11:10From the descendants of Zathu, Shekhaniah, son of Shehazel.
11:15And with him 300 men.
11:18From the descendants of Adin, Abid, son of Jonathan.
11:23And with him 50 men.
11:25From the descendants of Elam, Jeshiah, son of Athaliah.
11:30And with him 70 men.
11:33And from the descendants of Shephtadiah, Zebediah, son of Michael.
11:38And with him 80 men.
11:41And from the descendants of Jehoab, Obadiah, son of Jehiel.
11:46And with him 218 men.
11:50From the descendants of Bani, Shehomith, son of Jehoshaph, and with him 160 men.
11:58From the descendants of Bebai, Zechariah, son of Bebai.
12:03And with him 28 men.
12:05From the descendants of Asgad, Johanan, son of Hakatam.
12:10And with him 110 men.
12:13From the descendants of Adonikam, there were the latter ones.
12:18Their names were Eliphelet, Jehuel, and Shemaiah.
12:23And with them 60 men.
12:26From the descendants of Bilal, Uthai, and Zechor.
12:31And with them 70 men.
12:34I had them assemble at the canal that flows from Ahab.
12:38And we camped there for three days.
12:41I observed that the people and the priests were present.
12:46But I found no Levites there.
12:50So I sent for Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah, and Meshulam.
13:01Who were leaders, and Joerib, and Elnathan, who were their teachers.
13:07I sent them to Edo, who was the leader in the place called Kaziphia.
13:12And I told them what to say to Edo and his relatives.
13:16Who were in the temple giving service in Kaziphia.
13:20So that they could bring us attendance for the temple of our God.
13:27Due to the fact that the good hand of our God was upon us.
13:31They brought us a skilled man.
13:32From the descendants of Mali, the son of Levi, son of Israel.
13:39This man was Cheribiah.
13:41Who was accompanied by his sons and brothers.
13:44Were 18 men.
13:46And Hajabiah, along with Jeshiah, from the descendants of Merari.
13:51With his brothers and their sons.
13:5420 men and some of the temple servants.
13:56That David and his officials had established for the work of the Levites.
14:03220 men.
14:05And they were all designated by name.
14:09I called for a fast there by the Ahava Canal.
14:12So that we might humble ourselves before God.
14:15And seek from him a safe journey for us.
14:18Our children and all our property.
14:23I was embarrassed to request soldiers and horsemen from the king.
14:27To protect us from the enemy along the way.
14:31Because we had said to the king.
14:33The good hand of our God is on everyone who is seeking him.
14:37But his great anger is against everyone who forsakes him.
14:41And so we fasted and prayed to our God about this.
14:47And he answered us.
14:51Then I set apart twelve of the leading priests.
14:54Together with Sheerabiah, Hashabiah and ten of their brothers.
14:59And I weighed out to them the silver, the gold and the vessels intended for the temple of our God.
15:05Items that the king, his advisors, his officials and all Israel who were present had contributed.
15:16I weighed out to them six hundred and fifty talents of silver, silver vessels worth a hundred talents, a hundred
15:23talents of gold, twenty gold bowls worth one thousand derricks, and two exquisite vessels of gleaming bronze as valuable as
15:33gold.
15:35Then I said to them, you are holy to the Lord, just as these vessels are holy.
15:41The silver and gold are a voluntary offering to the Lord, the God of your fathers.
15:47Be careful with them and protect them until you weigh them out before the leading priests and the Levites and
15:54the family leaders of Israel in Jerusalem, in the storerooms of the temple of the Lord.
16:03Then the priests and the Levites took charge of the silver, the gold and the vessels that had been weighed
16:09out to transport them to Jerusalem, to the temple of our God.
16:16On the twelfth day of the first month, we began our journey from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem.
16:23The hand of our Lord was upon us, and he delivered us from our enemy and from any bandits along
16:30the way.
16:31And so we came to Jerusalem, and we stayed there for three days.
16:38On the fourth day, we weighed out the silver, the gold and the vessels in the house of our God,
16:43into the care of Merrimoth, son of Uriah, the priest, and Eleazar, son of Phaneus,
16:50who were accompanied by Joseph, son of Neshua, and Jodiah, son of Benui, who were the Levites.
16:58Everything was verified by number and by weight, and the total weight was written down at that time.
17:06The exiles, who were returning from the captivity, offered burnt offerings to the Lord God of Israel.
17:14Twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven male lambs, along with twelve male goats as a sin
17:23offering.
17:25All this was a burnt offering to the Lord.
17:28Then they presented the decrees of the king to the king's satraps and to the governors of trans-Euphrates,
17:36who gave help to the people and to the temple of God.
17:42This is the word of the Lord.
17:45Thanks be to God.
17:58Mary said
17:59My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit has begun to rejoice in God my Saviour,
18:06because he has looked upon the humble state of his servant.
18:12For from now on all generations will call me blessed,
18:16because he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
18:23From generation to generation he is merciful to those who fear him.
18:29He has demonstrated power with his arm.
18:33He has scattered those whose pride wells up from the sheer arrogance of their hearts.
18:39He has brought down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up those of lowly position.
18:45He has filled the hungry with good things, and has sent the rich away empty.
18:52He has helped his servant Israel, remembering his mercy,
18:57as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham, and to his descendants for ever.
19:05Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
19:09as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
19:14world without end.
19:16Amen.
19:24The first epistle of St. Peter, chapter 4
19:31The end of all things is near, so be serious in your behaviour,
19:37and keep on the watch with prayer.
19:40Most of all be warm in your love for one another,
19:43because in love there is forgiveness for sins without number.
19:50Keep open house for all with a glad heart,
19:52making distribution among one another of whatever has been given to you,
19:58like true servants of the unmeasured grace of God.
20:04If anyone hath anything to say, let it be as the words of God.
20:10If anyone has the desire to be the servant of others,
20:14let him do it in the strength which is given by God,
20:18so that in all things God may have the glory through Jesus Christ,
20:23whose are the glory and the power for ever.
20:28Dear brothers, do not be surprised, as if it were something strange,
20:33should your faith be tested as by fire.
20:38Be glad that you are given a part in the pain of Christ,
20:41so that at the revelation of his glory, you may have a great joy.
20:48If men say evil things of you because of the name of Christ,
20:52happy are you.
20:53For the spirit of glory and of God is resting on you.
20:59Let no one among you undergo punishment as a taker of life,
21:04or as a thief or as an evildoer,
21:07or as one who is over-interested in other men's business.
21:14But if he goes under punishment as a Christian,
21:18that is no shame to him,
21:20let him give glory to God in his name.
21:24For the time has come for the judging,
21:26starting with the church of God.
21:30But if it makes a start with us,
21:33what will be the end of those who are not under the rule of God?
21:38If it is hard for even the good man to get salvation,
21:43what chance has the man without religion or the sinner?
21:48For this reason, let those who,
21:51by the purpose of God, undergo punishment,
21:54keep on in well-doing and put their souls
21:57into the safe hands of their maker.
22:02This is the word of the Lord.
22:05Thanks be to God.
22:19Now, according to your word,
22:22Sovereign Lord,
22:23permit your servant to depart in peace.
22:26For my eyes have seen your salvation
22:29that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
22:34a light for revelation to the Gentiles
22:37and for glory to your people Israel.
22:42Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
22:46as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
22:50world without end.
22:53Amen.
22:57I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
23:01maker of heaven and earth,
23:03and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
23:07who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
23:10born of the Virgin Mary,
23:12suffered unto Pontius Pilate,
23:15was crucified, dead, and buried.
23:19He descended into hell.
23:21On the third day he rose again from the dead.
23:25He ascended into heaven
23:27and is sitting at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
23:32From there he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
23:36I believe in the Holy Spirit,
23:39the holy Catholic Church,
23:41the communion of saints,
23:42the forgiveness of sins,
23:45the resurrection of the body,
23:47and the life everlasting.
23:50Amen.
23:55The Lord be with you
23:58and with your spirit.
24:02Let us pray.
24:05Lord, have mercy upon us.
24:09Christ, have mercy upon us.
24:13Lord, have mercy upon us.
24:20Our Father, who is in heaven,
24:23may your kingdom come.
24:28May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
24:33Give us this day our daily bread.
24:35Forgive us our trespasses,
24:38as we forgive those who trespass against us.
24:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
24:43Lead us not into temptation,
24:44but deliver us from evil.
24:47For yours is the kingdom,
24:50the power and the glory,
24:52for ever and ever.
24:54Amen.
25:00O Lord, show your mercy upon us,
25:03and grant us your salvation.
25:08protect and guide those in authority over us,
25:13and mercifully hear us when we call upon you.
25:19Endue your ministers with righteousness,
25:22and make your chosen people joyful.
25:28O Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance.
25:36Give peace in our time, O Lord,
25:40because there is none other who fights for us
25:42but only you, O God.
25:46O God, make clean our hearts within us,
25:51and take not your Holy Spirit from us.
26:03Let us pray.
26:06O Lord, who never fails to help and govern
26:10those who you bring up in your steadfast fear and love,
26:14keep us, we beseech you,
26:17under the protection of your good providence,
26:19and make us have a perpetual fear and love
26:23of your holy name.
26:25Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
26:28Amen.
26:38O God, from whom all holy desires,
26:42all good counsels, and all just works proceed,
26:46give to your servants that peace
26:48which the world cannot give,
26:51that our hearts may be set to obey your commandments,
26:55and also that, by you,
26:58we, being defended from the fear of our enemies,
27:02may pass our time in rest and quietness.
27:06Through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
27:09Amen.
27:15Lighten our darkness, we beseech you, O Lord,
27:18and by your great mercy defend us all
27:21from perils and dangers of this night.
27:25For the love of your only Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
27:30Amen.
27:34Almighty God, who has given us grace
27:36at this time with one accord
27:38to make our common supplications to you
27:41and promises that when two or three
27:44are gathered together in your name,
27:47you will grant their requests.
27:50Fulfill now, O Lord,
27:53the desires and petitions of your servants,
27:56as may be most beneficial for them,
27:59granting us in this world
28:01knowledge of your truth
28:03and in the world to come
28:05life everlasting.
28:08Amen.
28:11With the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
28:13and the love of God
28:14and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
28:17be with us all evermore.
28:20Amen.
