00:00Hi there and welcome to the Met Office forecast for the upcoming weekend. Low after low after
00:06low we can expect more of the same kind of mixed and cool weather this weekend as we've
00:12had through the week. This area of low pressure however could bring some issues. Saturday
00:17morning with tightly packed isobars there is the risk of coastal gales especially through
00:22south western shores up the Bristol Channel as well. Accompanied by heavy rain it's going
00:28to be an especially unsettled start to the day for the south western quadrant of the
00:32UK. We've also got spells of rain arriving ahead of that for many parts of England into
00:37Wales, Northern Ireland, central and southern Scotland drier for the far north east of Scotland
00:42at least at first. Even some brightness first thing but nowhere immune from the blustery
00:47breezes coming from the Atlantic and after the main areas of rain move through there'll
00:52be some lively showers and rumbles of thunder, heavy downpours moving through central and
00:57then into northern England. A little drier towards the end of the afternoon towards the
01:01south west and wind's not quite as strong as we end the day likewise for Northern Ireland
01:05even some glimmers of brightness coming through but it is going to feel cool temperatures a
01:10degree or so per average for the time of year especially where we've got those gusty winds
01:14accompanying any heavy showers. Once that system's out of the way the next low turns up and
01:20this again could cause some issues with wind and rain however in different locations compared
01:26with Saturday more focus towards the north of the UK with a wet start for Western Scotland,
01:31Northern England, Southern Scotland, Northern Ireland first thing and these spells of rain
01:35turned heavier with the wind picking up through the morning and into the afternoon. The far north
01:41east of Scotland avoiding the wettest and windiest weather at least until the end of the afternoon
01:45and England and Wales seeing less rain and wind compared with Saturday. A drier day overall still a few
01:52showers about for the north and west of England as well as Wales but mostly dry for the east and
01:57southeast even some sunny spells coming through from time to time albeit during a relatively cloudy
02:03day. Temperatures responding well with 21 degrees closer to average and towards the north high teens
02:11more likely so a touch warmer on Sunday however it is the north where we're going to see the lion's
02:17share
02:17of wet and windy weather. That then sweeps through, another low turns up at the start of next week to
02:23bring more rain and at times blustery conditions. We'll keep you updated right here on our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
