00:04I have greetings to you in Jesus' name.
00:07I pray that the Lord will bless you more abundantly,
00:11that you receive Him and be transformed into His image,
00:16that you might grow in faith
00:19and be stronger in God's Word.

00:24Heavenly Father, we thank and we praise you
00:28for the great opportunity to come before your presence.
00:32We thank you for all of your goodness, your faithfulness,
00:37through all the last night that we came across in our lives.
00:42This wonderful morning,
00:44as we prepare our hearts for your living Word,
00:48I pray and we ask that you will speak to our hearts and strengthen us
00:53and prepare us for your coming,
00:55that we might grow in faith and in your Word.
00:59In Jesus' name we ask and we pray.

01:04This morning,
01:05if you have your Bibles with me,
01:08turn with me to the book of Daniel, chapter 1.
01:13Today we're going to talk about
01:15the spiritual lessons from the life of Daniel.
01:22Daniel, which means God is my church.
01:27Daniel life and his name teaches us
01:30that God is not only a master,
01:34He's not only a teacher,
01:37He's not only the creator,
01:39He is also the church.
01:42He judges the people.
01:45He judges you and me.
01:49Someday we are all going to stand before the judgment seat of Christ,
01:53where He's going to judge each one of us
01:56for all the things that what we have done in our lives.
02:00In the book of Revelation,
02:02it says this way,
02:03God has the wages that He has prepared for everyone
02:07what they have done in their lives.
02:12So God is our church.
02:16He jergeth,
02:17and He resists the proud.
02:20He giveth His grace to the oppressed and to the humble.
02:25He is the good church to our life.
02:28Daniel was about 16 years old
02:31when he was being taken as a captive into the Babylon,
02:37and he might be about 85 years of old
02:41when he had lost his life,
02:45says the many commentators.
02:48So this morning we'll be learning some three important lessons
02:52from the life of Daniel to our lives.
02:55Turn with me to the book of Daniel,
02:58chapter 1 and verse 8.
03:01Daniel purposed in his heart
03:03that he would not defile himself
03:06with a portion of the king's meat,
03:09nor with a vine which he drank.
03:13Now when Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
03:17they were taken to the captive of Babylon,
03:20they were four Hebrew men.
03:23They have a good posture.
03:25They have a good sight in the sight of the king.
03:30And the king told and commanded them
03:33that they need to eat the food
03:36that has been offered,
03:38been taken part by the king.
03:41And these four Hebrew men,
03:43they say this way,
03:44we do not want to eat the food
03:47or drink the wine that the king drinketh.
03:50They rejected it because
03:54they,
03:56the food was being offered
03:59to the idols before the king
04:01take parts in it.
04:04So that's the reason Daniel
04:06had rejected the food
04:07that he should not defile
04:10his body.
04:12The first lesson we need to learn
04:14from the life of Daniel
04:15is decision making.
04:18There were many of the times
04:20in our life
04:20we lost our life
04:23because we made some decisions
04:25that which is not proper
04:28and that which is not good
04:30to all of us.
04:33And that's the reason
04:35we have been spoiled,
04:37destroyed
04:38in all of our lives.
04:40Here we could understand
04:42this morning
04:43we need to make
04:44a wise decision
04:47in ever,
04:48whatever we do
04:49in our lives.
04:51Lot's wife,
04:51she decided to turn back.
04:54She became a pillar of salt
04:55because the decision
04:57what she had made
04:58had turned her life
04:59in that way.
05:01Daniel decided
05:02in his heart
05:03that he should not defile
05:04his body
05:04by eating the food
05:06that which has been
05:06offered to the idols
05:07no matter if it might be
05:09king's food also.
05:13Paul said this way,
05:15whatever you eat
05:16or drink,
05:17whatsoever that you do,
05:19do it all
05:19for the glory
05:20of God.
05:21We all need to do
05:22everything
05:23for the glory
05:24of God
05:25in all
05:26our lives.
05:28We need to be
05:29wise
05:30in making
05:31some decisions
05:33in our life.
05:36The second lesson
05:37we learn
05:38from the life
05:38of Daniel.
05:40Turn with me
05:41to the book
05:41of Daniel
05:42chapter 5
05:44and verse 17.
05:46Then Daniel
05:47answered and said
05:47before the king,
05:48Let thy gifts
05:49be to thyself
05:51and I give
05:52their rivers
05:52to one another.
05:54Yet I will
05:55read the writing
05:55upon the king
05:57and make known
05:58to him
05:59the interpretation.
06:01Here we could find
06:02that the king
06:04had thee
06:05a vision
06:07and on the vision
06:09there was a writing
06:10on the wall
06:11and which means
06:12many many
06:13take off
06:14a farce.
06:16And when this
06:17was being done
06:18up
06:19and the Bible
06:21says
06:22that there was
06:23no man
06:24has
06:25knowledge
06:26to
06:27declare
06:28that what it
06:29means
06:30or sometimes
06:31Daniel
06:32was also revealed
06:33the vision
06:35and its mean.
06:37So here we could
06:39find out
06:40that Daniel
06:42was a man
06:44who always
06:46not been wanted
06:48of things
06:49that he was
06:50not having
06:52but he was
06:53always satisfied
06:54with what he
06:55had
06:55in his life.
06:57We need to
06:58have to learn
06:59this lesson
07:00in us today.
07:02Let's be
07:02satisfied with
07:03what things
07:04that God
07:05has given
07:05to us
07:07not
07:07don't run
07:08forward to
07:09things that
07:10what we don't
07:10have in our
07:11lives.
07:13Paul says
07:14whatsoever
07:14I'm being
07:15content
07:15with what
07:17God has
07:17given to me.
07:19We need to
07:20be very
07:20content
07:21in things
07:22that God
07:23has blessed
07:23us with
07:25in our
07:26lives.
07:28And here we
07:29could find
07:29out
07:30Daniel
07:31saying unto
07:32the king
07:32I don't
07:33need up
07:33your presents
07:34I don't
07:34need up
07:34your gifts
07:35what you
07:35offer to
07:36me.
07:38Let thy
07:38gifts be
07:39to you
07:39or let
07:41thy gifts
07:41be to
07:41the other
07:42person
07:43but
07:44I will
07:45declare
07:46what God
07:47speaks
07:48and what
07:48God
07:49puts in
07:50my heart.
07:52and here
07:53we could
07:53find that
07:54he was
07:54not
07:54being
07:55looking
07:56forward
07:57for things
07:58that which
07:58comes freely
07:59in his
08:00life.
08:01In
08:02Exodus
08:02chapter 20
08:03though the
08:03Lord had
08:03given
08:04commanded
08:04the people
08:05of Israel
08:05not to
08:06have
08:06anything
08:07that whatever
08:08it
08:08belongeth
08:09to the
08:11other
08:11people.
08:13So we
08:14need to
08:14be aware
08:15and be
08:16not
08:17running
08:17after
08:18to have
08:18the
08:19things
08:19that what
08:20we don't
08:20have
08:21in our
08:22lives.
08:24So second
08:25lesson we
08:25learn from
08:26the life
08:26of Daniel
08:26is just
08:28be content
08:30don't move
08:31on over
08:32your comfort
08:33season.
08:35And the
08:35third thing
08:36turn with me
08:37to Daniel
08:38chapter 6
08:39and was
08:40then
08:40now when
08:41Daniel
08:41knew that
08:42the writing
08:42was signed
08:43he went
08:43into his
08:44house and
08:44his windows
08:44being opened
08:45in a
08:45chamber
08:46toward
08:46Jerusalem
08:46he kneeled
08:48upon his
08:49nest
08:49three times
08:50and prayed
08:52and gave
08:52thanks
08:53before his
08:54God as
08:55he did
08:55for a
08:56time.
08:58Number
08:59three
09:00his prayer
09:01life.
09:03One of
09:03the things
09:04that Bible
09:05speaks many
09:05of the
09:06times
09:06is the
09:08prayer.
09:09How is
09:10our prayer
09:11life?
09:15Daniel
09:16knew that
09:16the king
09:17has signed.
09:20Daniel
09:20was about
09:21to be
09:21thrown
09:22up into
09:22the
09:23lion's
09:23den
09:25and now
09:26Daniel
09:27though he
09:28knew that
09:29he was
09:29going to
09:29be into
09:30the
09:30lion's
09:30den
09:31but
09:32he went
09:34into his
09:34house
09:35as a
09:36carding
09:36he did
09:37a four
09:37of a
09:38time
09:39and then
09:40he just
09:41kneeled
09:41before God
09:42and began
09:44to pray
09:45to God.
09:47this morning
09:48never forget
09:50to have a
09:51prayer life
09:51no matter
09:52what situations
09:52that you
09:53go through
09:54in your
09:55life.
09:57Just be
09:58content
09:58just
10:00begin to
10:01pray
10:01in the
10:03presence of
10:03God
10:04then God
10:05will answer
10:06all of
10:07your needs
10:08he will
10:09help you
10:10in everything
10:10what you
10:11do.
10:12all you
10:13need to
10:13do is
10:14just
10:14pray
10:15to God
10:16every
10:17day
10:18in your
10:19life.
10:21The three
10:22lessons we
10:22learn from
10:23the life
10:23of Daniel
10:24it is
10:25a life
10:27that to
10:28be
10:29decision
10:30making
10:31things that
10:32brings glory
10:33to God
10:34and the
10:35second thing
10:36to be content
10:36with what
10:37God has
10:38blessed us
10:38with and
10:40the third
10:42that we
10:42need to
10:43pray to
10:43God no
10:44matter what
10:44situation
10:46we go
10:47through
10:47in all
10:48our lives.
