00:00Praise the Lord.
00:01It's such a great joy and honor
00:03and a great privilege that the Lord has given to each one of us
00:08to have this blessed and beautiful day
00:10to rejoice in the presence of the Lord,
00:13to praise Him for all His goodness and faithfulness
00:16and His mercy and love.
00:18Let's pray.
00:19Almighty God and merciful Heavenly Father,
00:22we thank and we praise You for the beautiful morning
00:25that You've given to us to study Your Word.
00:29Lord, as You said,
00:31a man shall not live by bread alone,
00:33but he liveth by every word that proceedeth
00:35out from the mouth of God.
00:37We pray this morning that You will speak to our hearts,
00:40strengthen us spiritually,
00:42teach us Your will and Your purpose for all of our lives
00:47and guide us into the word of Thy truth
00:50that we might grow in faith and in our spiritual life.
00:53In Jesus' precious name we pray. Amen.
00:58This morning, if you have your Bible with me,
01:01turn with me to the Gospel of John chapter 20,
01:05verses 19 to verse 23.
01:09Now this is the passage
01:11which speaks about Jesus Christ
01:15had showed to His disciples
01:19for the first time after His resurrection.
01:25As we study this scripture,
01:28we will understand
01:30that Jesus showed up Himself
01:33after the resurrection.
01:36Through all the, from the book of Genesis
01:38to the book of Revelation,
01:40when God showed up Himself to His people,
01:43He answered their prayers
01:46and also He had made a promise with them
01:50and also He gave the message to them
01:53and also He had encouraged them
01:57and strengthened them.
01:58Now in this passage we find
02:01that the disciples of Jesus Christ
02:03were filled with fear.
02:05Why fear?
02:07because of the fear of Jews.
02:11Jesus said this way,
02:12In the world you will have tribulations
02:14because the world hated me
02:16just as the way that the world hated me
02:18will also hate you
02:20because you are not of the world.
02:23Jews have hated Jesus Christ
02:27saying that He is doing the blasphemy,
02:29speaking blasphemy against God
02:31and against the kingdom,
02:33against the government.
02:37For that reason,
02:38they made Jesus Christ
02:39to be hanged on the cross.
02:42When they had made Jesus
02:44to be on the cross,
02:46and why cannot do that
02:48for His chosen disciples?
02:52Because of the fear of Jews,
02:53they were stuck up
02:55and closed the doors
02:56and they were assembled in a room.
02:58Now Jesus had showed Himself
03:01to His disciples.
03:03And what are the blessings
03:05that risen Savior gives
03:09to those who had He been
03:11appeared to His disciples?
03:14The first blessing,
03:15turn with me to the
03:17Gospel of John chapter 20
03:19and verse 19.
03:21Jesus came and stood in the midst of them
03:23and said to them,
03:25Peace be unto you.
03:27Why did Jesus say,
03:29Peace be unto you?
03:30Because their hearts
03:31were filled with fear.
03:33Fear.
03:35Dear brothers and sisters,
03:37when our hearts
03:38were being filled with fear,
03:39then cometh the peace of God.
03:41The peace of God
03:42will reign
03:43reign at all our hearts.
03:46Because Jesus said,
03:48My peace I give to you,
03:49not the peace
03:50that the world giveth,
03:51let not your hearts be troubled.
03:54Maybe this morning,
03:55as you're listening
03:56this morning's sermon,
03:57maybe you're being troubled
03:59with a lot of financial crisis,
04:02with shared relationship,
04:05with loss,
04:06and with loneliness,
04:08with rejectedness,
04:09with sickness,
04:10with weakness,
04:11diseaseness.
04:13But no matter what kind of things
04:16that you're going through
04:17in your life,
04:18but God can give peace
04:20to your heart
04:21situation you face
04:23in your life.
04:27Jesus said,
04:28Peace be unto you.
04:31Because the ministry
04:32of Jesus Christ
04:33is the ministry
04:34of peace.
04:36There is a peace
04:38in His birth.
04:38There is peace
04:39in His ministry.
04:41And there is peace
04:42in His sorrows.
04:43There is peace
04:44in His death.
04:45and there is peace
04:46in His resurrection.
04:49He is the Prince
04:50of Peace.
04:52He is the one
04:53that who giveth peace
04:54to each one of those
04:56who have lost peace
04:57and who have been
04:58ruling their lives
04:59with fear.
05:04That's what the Bible says.
05:08Fear not.
05:09That was written
05:09in the Bible
05:10about 365 times
05:12every day
05:13that the Lord
05:13is telling us,
05:14fear not.
05:14I give my peace
05:16to you
05:16and I will be
05:17with you.
05:18I will hold you
05:19and I will lead you
05:20and I will bless you.
05:21I will help you.
05:22That's the peace
05:23of God.
05:25And the second thing
05:26we find
05:26in John chapter 20
05:28and verse 20.
05:31And were the disciples
05:33glad
05:34when they saw
05:35the Lord?
05:37Number two.
05:41Joy.
05:42The first blessing
05:43is the peace
05:44and the second blessing
05:45is the joy
05:46and happiness.
05:49When Mary the Magdalena
05:50and the other women
05:52as woke up early
05:53in the morning
05:54took up denying the spice,
05:56denying the body
05:57of Jesus Christ
05:58and they went.
05:59But they went
06:00with a question
06:01and the question was
06:01who can roll away
06:02this stone?
06:04But the thing is
06:05dear brothers
06:05and sisters,
06:07when they have
06:08gone there,
06:10the stone has been
06:11rolled away
06:12before they have
06:13been reached there.
06:15The tomb was empty
06:16and Mary the Magdalena
06:18said,
06:19Someone have taken
06:20the body of Jesus Christ.
06:23Her heart was
06:24filled with fear.
06:29when the life
06:30without Jesus
06:33is a life
06:34with great fear
06:36and terrible.
06:37But a life
06:38with Jesus Christ
06:39is a life
06:40with great joy
06:41and peace.
06:44In the same chapter
06:45the Bible says,
06:46For I have seen
06:47the Lord,
06:47Mary Magdalena
06:48said.
06:51And when she
06:52had seen the Lord,
06:53she began
06:54and ran
06:55and told the disciples
06:56that I have seen
06:57the Lord by face to face
06:58and he spoke with me.
06:59I heard his voice.
07:00I had a fellowship
07:01with him.
07:03Oh,
07:03what a great
07:04joy.
07:07And Jesus
07:08stood among
07:08the disciples
07:09and he showed
07:10the wounds
07:11at the side
07:13and the nails
07:14at his hands.
07:16He showed
07:17the wounds
07:17to them
07:18and when the
07:19disciples saw
07:19that they were
07:20very glad.
07:21They rejoiced
07:24because
07:25a few days
07:26ago back
07:26that Jesus
07:27was being
07:27hanged upon
07:28the cross.
07:29He was being
07:30buried.
07:31These people
07:32thought that
07:32he might not
07:33be risen back
07:34again to life.
07:36When they saw
07:37the resurrected
07:37Christ
07:38and the word
07:39what he said,
07:40they were rejoiced
07:41in their hearts.
07:45That's the Bible
07:46says in your
07:46presence
07:47there is a
07:48fullness
07:48of joy.
07:51The third
07:52blessing
07:52John chapter

07:54and verse

07:58And he
08:00said unto them,
08:01Receive
08:01ye the Holy
08:02Ghost.
08:03He gave
08:04them
08:04power.
08:05The secret
08:07power of the
08:08apostles and the
08:08disciples of Jesus
08:09is the Holy
08:11Spirit.
08:12The book of
08:13Acts
08:14is the book
08:15that where
08:15the Holy
08:17Spirit was
08:17working in
08:18and through
08:18the lives
08:19of apostles
08:19and the
08:20Peter
08:22and the
08:23church
08:23elders.
08:25They have been
08:26led by the
08:27Spirit of God.
08:27They have been
08:28thought by the
08:28Spirit of God.
08:29They have been
08:30did wonders
08:31and miracles
08:31by the Holy
08:32Spirit of God.
08:34Jesus had given
08:35the Spirit of
08:36Father,
08:36Holy Spirit
08:37and His
08:37power upon
08:39His
08:39disciples.
08:43The
08:43resurrected
08:44Christ and
08:44His
08:45gifts are
08:45peace,
08:47joy,
08:47and
08:48power.
08:49They received
08:50the Holy
08:51Spirit of
08:52God.
08:54And number
08:55four,
08:55they received
08:56the authority
08:57of God.
08:59What's the
08:59authority of
09:00God?
09:00Jesus said
09:01this way,
09:01Whosoever
09:02when you
09:02forgive the
09:02sins of
09:03the people
09:03will be
09:04forgiven.
09:04If their
09:05sins are
09:05not being
09:06forgiven,
09:06it will
09:06be just
09:07being
09:07right.
09:10it is
09:10authority
09:11that
09:11Christ
09:12has
09:12given
09:12to
09:13only
09:13His
09:14disciples.
09:16When
09:17Jesus
09:17resurrected
09:18Christ
09:19had
09:20showed
09:20to
09:20His
09:21disciples,
09:21He gave
09:21them
09:22a
09:22peace,
09:22He gave
09:23them
09:23joy,
09:24He gave
09:24them
09:24power,
09:25and He
09:25also gave
09:26them the
09:26authority.
09:28When we
09:29meet Christ
09:29in our
09:30daily of
09:30our lives,
09:31we will
09:32experience
09:33the blessing
09:33of God
09:34in and
09:34through
09:35our life.
09:36May the
09:37resurrected
09:37Christ
09:38and the
09:39blessings
09:39and the
09:40power of
09:40His
09:40resurrection
09:41be with
09:42you all.

10:21and turn
10:21to your
10:22God,
10:23acknowledging

10:24Savior.
10:25We thank
