00:00Praise the Lord.
00:02I bring greetings to you all in the name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
00:06Dear brothers and sisters, I hope that you are all doing well.
00:10I do believe by faith that this morning devotions are truly being helpful for your spiritual growth.
00:17To grow in the Lord, to have relationship with Him,
00:21to be transformed into the image of His Son Jesus Christ.
00:26Let's all bow our heads and look to the Lord in prayer.
00:29Almighty God and merciful Heavenly Father,
00:32we remind your grace, your faithless, and your goodness in all our lives.
00:38We thank you for the blessings that you pour upon our lives.
00:42Today we are able to come before the throne of your grace.
00:46This morning as we prepare our hearts for your word,
00:50a word that proceeded out from your mouth and never returns back to you in vain,
00:54but it brings fruit to those who receive it.
00:57Help us to receive your word when you speak to us, Lord.
01:01Lord, teach your will and your purpose for us.
01:04In Jesus' name we ask and we pray.
01:07Amen.
01:08This morning, dear brothers and sisters,
01:11if you have your Bibles with me,
01:14please turn with me to the book of Psalm 130th chapter,
01:18beginning from verse 5 to verse 8.
01:23Psalm 130th chapter is called as a psalm of degrees,
01:28and it is also called as a psalm of climbing.
01:34Today we are going to talk about on the topic of waiting and hoping.
01:42Psalm 130 is a psalm where the people of Jews
01:46had obeyed to the commandment of the Lord,
01:49and they were being taken back up their journey
01:52to the city of Jerusalem to worship the Lord.
01:57And this is called also as a traveler psalm.
02:02As long as we are living on this earth,
02:05we are travelers,
02:07we are pilgrimages,
02:09and God has created us before the foundation of the earth,
02:13and hath called us to be on this earth,
02:16and He has placed His purpose upon each and every person,
02:21and after the purpose and the will of God
02:24has been fulfilled in and through our life to the other people,
02:29He will call us by name,
02:31and we have to be back to the heaven.
02:34Dr. Billy Graham is a great evangelist.
02:36He said this way,
02:37This world is not our home.
02:40I am just passing through my home through this world.
02:44So we all need to remember this world is not permanent.
02:48This world is not eternal.
02:50And we need to understand that we are the citizens of heaven,
02:54and we need to be prepared to get back into the city
02:59where we have come from and where we belong.
03:03So as we are traveling in this world,
03:06there will be a time we come across sufferings, sickness,
03:11and there will be sometimes a financial crisis.
03:15There will be a time of rejection.
03:17There will be a time where you've been felt loneliness,
03:21But in all this kind of your spiritual journey,
03:25believe that the promises of God are always with you.
03:29Because God had promised the people of Israel
03:32while they were traveling to Jerusalem to worship the Lord.
03:35He promised them,
03:36Today, the Lord who keepeth Israel will never sleep nor slumber.
03:43Today, the same Lord is promising you and me today.
03:48As long as we walk in this world today,
03:51God is always there with us.
03:54He keeps us, He fulfills His promises in our lives.
04:02Let's talk this morning on two issues of wait and hope.
04:07What are the things we need to be waited for?
04:10And what are the things need to be hoped for?
04:12Turn to Psalm 130 and verse 5.
04:18My soul waiteth forth the Lord.
04:22We need to wait for the Lord.
04:26One of the things that every person hates on this earth
04:30is patience and waiting.
04:33You know, when we begin up a work,
04:35we think by faith that all things has to be done
04:38in just an adquinkling of an eye.
04:41We are impatient people.
04:44We don't want to wait for a time,
04:46for hours, for years,
04:47for some time of a season.
04:50We need everything to be done in a second.
04:54The Bible says it is better for every spiritual believer to wait.
05:00Abraham received a promise from the Lord
05:04about a son,
05:05and Abraham waited 25 years to receive a son from the Lord.
05:10He waited.
05:13Joseph was being in the prison about 13 years,
05:16and he waited to become as the prince of Israel.
05:23Moses waited in the wilderness about 40 years
05:26by feeding and keeping the flock of his father in Lajethro.
05:32And after 40 years,
05:33God chose up Moses,
05:35and through Moses,
05:36God led the people of Israel to the land of Canaan.
05:40So when you wait on the Lord,
05:42the Lord will always give you a great benefit
05:44what you experienced in your previous life.
05:48Most of the time when we pray and we ask our Lord,
05:50why have you not answered my prayer?
05:53And sometimes we pray this today,
05:55and we wait God to answer in the next second.
05:59How could it be possible?
06:01If God is telling you,
06:03if God is making you to wait for a long time,
06:06believe by faith that God has prepared
06:08the great thing for your life.
06:11So you need to wait.
06:12You need to wait.
06:14The psalmist says this way,
06:16I waited patiently for the Lord.
06:19What are you been waiting for this morning?
06:21Are you waiting for what to put on,
06:24what to drink,
06:25and what to eat,
06:26and how to enjoy your life,
06:27and what are the things that you need to prepare
06:29for your family,
06:30for your future,
06:31for the things that you're going to face in your life?
06:35But you should not wait for all the things,
06:37because God knows what to give you in the right time.
06:40But you need to wait for the Lord patiently.
06:45Today, this morning, brothers and sisters,
06:47are you waiting for the Lord in your life?
06:50It's a great command.
06:51That was the two men who was in a white apparel.
06:54When Jesus was being transformed,
06:57He was being transfigured before the disciples.
07:01Disciples were gazing up into the sky,
07:03and they were looking forward.
07:05And the two men who were in white apparel,
07:07they said this way,
07:09While you gaze and look up into the heaven,
07:11the same Jesus has been lifted up in the midst of you.
07:14The same Jesus whom He's going to return back again,
07:18as how He has been lifted up.
07:21So you wait.
07:23We need to wait for the Lord.
07:27Psalm 27, verse 14, the Bible says,
07:30When you wait on the Lord,
07:31you will be strengthened.
07:32When you wait upon the people,
07:34they will make you so weak,
07:36and stumble,
07:37and they will make you to fall.
07:39But you wait for the Lord,
07:41He will give you a good strength,
07:42and He will make you strong in your spiritual life.
07:46Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31,
07:48the Bible says,
07:49You wait on the Lord,
07:51and you shall receive your strength.
07:53He gives the strength to the feebleness.
07:55He gives the strength to those who are discouraged.
07:57He gives the strength to those who are
08:01in a weakness,
08:03who are fallen away.
08:05He makes their life so strong,
08:07He builds their life.
08:10So you need to wait on the Lord.
08:12When you wait on the Lord,
08:13you will be strengthened by God.
08:16Psalm 37, verse 9,
08:18When you wait on the Lord,
08:19you will inherit the land.
08:21You wait on the Lord,
08:23and you will be transformed
08:24into the image of His Son,
08:25Lord Jesus Christ.
08:26You wait on the Lord,
08:27you will experience the goodness of God
08:29in your life.
08:30But every single day,
08:32what we need to do is,
08:33we need to just wait on the Lord.
08:36The second,
08:37what we need to be hoped for.
08:40Psalm 130,
08:42and verse 5,
08:43I wait for the Lord,
08:44and my soul doth,
08:46and in His word do I hope.
08:48The psalmist says,
08:49I hope in God's word.
08:52What have you been hoped for today?
08:56Most of the times,
08:57we keep our hope,
08:58and we keep our faith on the people,
09:01or live on the world.
09:03The psalmist David said this way,
09:04It is better to put your confidence,
09:06it is better to put trust in God,
09:08than to put your trust in princes,
09:10or in men.
09:12Don't put your trust in them,
09:14but put your trust in the Lord.
09:16The Lord will truly sentence you.
09:19So absolutely this morning,
09:21keep up your hope in the Lord,
09:23because His word will encourage you.
09:25His word will give you strength.
09:27His word will never fail.
09:29And His word will give you eternal life.
09:32His word maketh a great change in your life.
09:36So absolutely this morning,
09:38you hope in God's word.
09:41The psalmist David said this way,
09:44Lord, your word has quickened me,
09:46your word has renewed me,
09:48when I am in my affliction.
09:50God's word giveth a life to us.
09:53When we are discouraged,
09:55His word gives us anchorage,
09:57in the times of affliction,
09:58when you are droned up in your life.
10:00When you are alone,
10:02His word will give you comfort.
10:04And His word will also teach you
10:06what is sin,
10:07and what is good,
10:08and what is bad,
10:08and how you can live a holy life.
10:12But David said this way,
10:13Lord, I have engraved your words on my heart,
10:16that it helps me,
10:18that I might not sin.
10:21So this morning,
10:23you just wait and hope on the Lord,
10:26and He will strengthen you.
10:29When you hope in His word,
10:31and your hope will never make you to be ashamed.
10:36So just hope on the Lord,
10:38He will do the best things.
10:40In the journey of this life,
10:42you need to wait on the Lord,
10:45and you need to hope in God's word.
10:49Do not wait upon the people.
10:51Don't keep up your hope in people.
10:54But lay up everything on the Lord.
10:56He will strengthen you.
10:58God bless you,
10:59and God bless His word.
11:01Let's pray.
11:02Father, I thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
11:06Bless every brother and sister
11:08who have heard your word.
11:10Most of the time,
11:11we keep our hope and faith
11:12things of the world.
11:14Father, forgive us.
11:16Give us a good heart.
11:19Give us a good mind,
11:20that we keep our faith
11:22and hope in you.
11:24Lord, we give all this time
11:26and all this day into your hands.
11:29Especially, O Lord,
11:30that this word be,
11:30bringeth the great fruits of repentance
11:32in the hearts of the people.
11:36And Lord,
11:37as I pray today,
11:39those who have been celebrating
11:40at the birthday's anniversary,
11:42I pray
11:43and I pronounce your
11:46blessings
11:47from the Bible.
11:49Let them experience
11:50the blessed year.
11:51Let them have
11:52great promises
11:54fulfilled by you, God,
11:55in their life.
11:57Lord, we give
11:58all this time into you.
11:59I especially pray
12:01for those who are
12:01waiting for a child,
12:02waiting for a partner,
12:04and waiting for their marriages,
12:06waiting for
12:07to build up a house,
12:09and waiting for
12:10different kinds of things
12:11and job in their life.
12:12I pray that you will
12:14grant all the needs
12:15of your people
12:15in their life.
12:17I give all ourselves
12:19to you, God.
12:20Especially, I pray
12:21for those who are not
12:22being saved.
12:22Lord, speak to their hearts
12:23that they might be saved.
12:25and I even pray,
12:26Lord, those who are being saved,
12:28prepare every person
12:29for your coming.
12:31We ask you
12:32and we praise you.
12:33In Jesus' name,
12:34we ask and we pray.
