00:00Praise the Lord. Good morning.
00:02I greet you all in the massless name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
00:07It's such a great and blessed morning that the Lord has given to each one of us
00:12that we might come before the throne of His grace
00:15to thank Him from the bottom of our hearts
00:18for all the things that God has done in all our life
00:21and what He's still doing in us.
00:24Let's pray.
00:25Our loving Heavenly Father, we thank you and we praise you.
00:29You are a God who speaks to the hearts of the people.
00:33Father, through all the last night you have been protected us
00:38from the dangers, harms and pestilences
00:41and from all the evil powers.
00:44You have encoured us under your safest wings
00:49and given us this beautiful morning to study your word, Father.
00:53As this morning we wait for your word,
00:56we pray and we ask you that you will speak to each one of us.
01:00Give your word for us and strengthen us.
01:02Prepare us for your coming.

01:09This morning,
01:11if you have your Bibles with me,
01:13turn with me
01:14to the Gospel of Luke chapter 19
01:17and verse 3.
01:22We are going to talk this morning on the topic of
01:28the obstacles
01:30in seeing Jesus.
01:34Two thousand years ago back,
01:36when Jesus was on this earth
01:39in His physical body,
01:42in His three half years of a ministry,
01:45He moved to many cities,
01:47He moved to many places,
01:49preaching about the gospel of His kingdom.
01:53And He healed the people
01:55and delivered the people
01:57who had been with demon-possessed
02:01and forgiving the sins
02:03of all the humankind.
02:06And Jesus moved different kinds of places.
02:09In Luke chapter 19 and verse 1,
02:13Zacchaeus heard that Jesus Christ
02:15has been passing through the city of Zericho.
02:19And Zacchaeus was a tax collector,
02:21was an Republican
02:22who wanted to see who is Jesus.
02:26My question to you this morning is,
02:29what made Zacchaeus to see
02:30who wanted to see Jesus?
02:34Zacchaeus wanted to see who is Jesus
02:36because Zacchaeus might have heard
02:39that Jesus Christ at once,
02:41He had been taking food
02:44and had feast with sinners and publicans.
02:49Maybe Zacchaeus heard such kind of thing.
02:53Maybe Zacchaeus wanted to see who is Jesus,
02:55the man who had taken a part
02:57with sinners and publicans in feast.
03:02Maybe he had heard about
03:03the greatest things about Jesus Christ.
03:06But finally, he wanted to see who is Jesus.
03:10There are often times,
03:11even in our Christian life,
03:13we had a great desire
03:15that I wanted to see who is Jesus.
03:18Seeing Jesus,
03:19it should be our goal,
03:20our desire,
03:21and every day after day
03:23in our Christian life.
03:26A man who wrote a beautiful song,
03:29Lord, give me an eyes
03:31that I might see you
03:33and see your glory.
03:36Every day in our Christian faith,
03:38God has given us our eyes
03:39that we might see only Him,
03:41that we might see of the glory of God,
03:44that we might see the beautiful of the Lord,
03:46and that we might take away
03:48all the things from our life
03:50and keep our eyes fixing
03:52on the Lord Jesus Christ.
03:55That should be our goal.
03:58Zacchaeus also had a goal in his life
04:00that he wanted to see who is Jesus
04:02while he was passing through the
04:05city of Zerukah.
04:08but he had a zeal
04:09and he wanted to see Jesus
04:11but there are also obstacles
04:13he had been facing
04:15in order to see who is Jesus.
04:17There are often times
04:18when we wanted to begin up a work,
04:20there will be an obstacles.
04:22There are often times
04:23when we have begun up
04:24our family life,
04:25there will also be obstacles.
04:27When we have started up
04:29a spiritual life,
04:30we will also face obstacles
04:32in our life.
04:33that Zacchaeus wanted to see
04:35who is Jesus
04:36but he had a desire
04:37in seeing Jesus
04:38but also he faced the obstacles
04:40in seeing who is Jesus.
04:43The very first obstacle
04:45this morning we are going to see is
04:47turn to the Gospel of Luke
04:48chapter 19
04:49and verse 3.
04:52He was a little of stature.
04:55The very first obstacle
04:57that stopped Zacchaeus
04:59in order to see Jesus
05:01that was his body.
05:04His body,
05:05his physical appearance
05:07is an obstacle
05:08to see who is Jesus.
05:10There are often times
05:11in our life
05:12we had great desire
05:13to see who is Jesus
05:14but our physical appearance,
05:16our physical body
05:17and the things of the flesh
05:19will stop us
05:20and will make us
05:21a hindrance
05:22in order to see
05:23who is Jesus Christ.
05:26There are often times
05:27we wanted to pray
05:28but our flesh stops.
05:32We wanted to grow spiritually.
05:34Friends comes into our life
05:36and stops our spiritual life.
05:38We want to have relations
05:40and fellowship
05:41with Jesus Christ
05:42but things come into our life
05:43and makes us away
05:45far from God.
05:49if we wanted to see
05:50who is Jesus
05:51this morning
05:52we all need to die
05:53in our physical bodies
05:55as according to the flesh
05:57of the world.
06:01That is what Paul said
06:02this way
06:04it is not me who live
06:05but it is Christ
06:06who liveth in me.
06:09We need to die
06:10for the things of the world
06:11then only we can be able
06:12to live spiritually
06:13then only we are able
06:15to have relation
06:15and see the face-to-face
06:17of Jesus Christ.
06:20Because Jesus said
06:22Allah is a wheat of a corn
06:24that grows into the ground
06:25and diet.
06:27It never reproduces.
06:28It never grows.
06:29just as the same way
06:31in our spiritual life
06:32when we are not able
06:33to die
06:33for the things of the world
06:35for the things of the flesh
06:36we are not able
06:37to reproduce
06:37a new life
06:38we are not able
06:39to rise up from the dead
06:41we are not able
06:42to see the glory of God
06:43face-to-face.
06:47Zacchaeus was
06:48wanted to see
06:50he is Jesus
06:50but the obstacle is
06:52that was his appearance
06:53he was a man
06:54of little stature
06:55because of his stature
06:57he was not able
06:58to see Jesus Christ
06:59of all.
07:01There are often times
07:02we want to pray
07:03we want to study
07:04the Bible
07:04we want to grow
07:05in relationship
07:06with God
07:06but there will also
07:07be an obstacle
07:08but we all need
07:10to overcome
07:10the obstacles
07:11in our life
07:12and then only
07:13we can see Jesus
07:14face-to-face.
